Mamagoto

"Mamagoto is Japanese for tea party. Seasoned chef Koji Tsuchiya serves an appealing selection of dishes you can share (or not!), combining Japanese and Basque influences – for example, sea urchin with parsley sayon or grilled squid with pesto. The wine list includes some unusual natural wines. A simpler set menu at lunchtime." - Michelin Inspector

We discovered this restaurant next to our hotel a few weeks ago, and are very happy that we did. The food was Asian-inspired French fusion, and although we were at the end of a long travel day (from Beijing) and wouldn’t have been overly discerning at that point, we did want something nice - and they delivered. The atmosphere was welcome and the staff were friendly and funny, too, making good recommendations when asked. We’d happily visit here again when we’re back in Paris.

Very nice french food with japanese touch! We shared different appetizers and everything was super tasty. The chocolate fondant desert with match was the highlight of everything! I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Food is oke. Not special. Had the crab as starter, was not much crab and had some pieces of shell still in, so it was fresh :-) main was better, the typical steak tartare with their own way of big fries (what was very good) the mushroom 'spread' under the tartare was good as well. Wines at good prices and enough to choose from.

Nice decoration of the interior and importantly the good food. The portion can be a bit bigger and the dessert can be improved. Dog friendly 🐶 🐕

Yelp
This was such a wonderful find! We used yelp and decided to take a chance even though there were so few reviews. We arrived at 8:30 which is apparently early for dinner in Paris; we were the only ones in the back dining room for at least a half hour. This was fine though, staff was quite attentive and provided excellent service. Wine selection was superb, as was the advice (the wine list is quite out of date). The staff provided tastes of several wine options so the errors on the menu did not matter. I greatly enjoyed the shared plates style of the restaurant. Everything is portioned perfectly for you and your plus one to have several bites and try a wonderful selection of the menu. You can either do a small appetizer and a shared entree or tapas style. Composition of the menu was seamless from plate to plate - very flexible and coherent. We're quite sad there isn't one in our home town but that is definitely part of its charm.

Yelp
Trendy place. Limited menu but all choices are attractive. Wine list is limited, but selection is out of the ordinary. One of the good restaurants in the neighbourhood.
