We had a really nice time here. The service was great and the environment felt relaxed and comfortable. We started with the roti and curry, which was very delicious I love how crunchy it was, followed by the beef satay skewers, those were amazing and definitely a highlight. For our mains, we had the Malaysian coconut curry and noodles in brown gravy. Overall, the food was good and flavorful without feeling heavy. While everything was enjoyable, nothing particularly wowed me. The Thai tea was really good though. Still, a solid spot for a relaxed meal with good service.

The food was really good!!! we especially loved the char kway teow. It had great flavor and was cooked perfectly. The portion size was generous and very satisfying. The service was friendly and helpful and the staff made us feel welcome. We highly recommend adding chili oil to your dish, it makes the flavors even better. Definitely coming back!

I’ve been eyeballing MAMAK for a while and I’m so glad we finally tried it! OH EM GEE! It absolutely lived up to the hype. We started with the garlic edamame, which was full of flavor, and I tried lychee nectar for the first time… so good and super refreshing. The jumbo wings with ginger scallion oil were insane! 10/10! But the real winner for me was the wonton mee ramen. Wow. Easily one of my favorites ever. The chicken wontons were incredible, the BBQ pork was perfectly done, and the bok choy was spectacular. The food came out incredibly fast. The ambiance is beautiful: big, modern, and very spacious, which makes it a great spot to actually enjoy your meal. And the best part? We only spent about $55 with tip… such a deal for the quality and amount of food. This place is officially at the top of my list, and I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend.

Mamak’s foods were so good! We’ve ordered Nasi Goreng Indonesia (Indonesian Fried Rice), Mamak Kari with Beef as the protein, Pad Thai, Tofu app and they all went out so good!!!!! And QUICK SERVICE as well. Our server was so so super nice! She was awesome and very attentive to what we need. Parking might be a bit tricky tho but if you care about their foods, go ahead parked and walked there 😊 Atmosphere was great! Will be back again if we ever be in the area! Give Mamak Asian Street Food a big try!

We were craving for Malaysian food. We were lucky to find this place. The restaurant was busy but we were able to get a table despite not having a reservation. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was decorated nicely and clean. We ordered Kari Mee, Nasi Goreng Indonesia, and Letter Wrap. All of them were delicious and flavorful. The price was great and reasonable.

The food here is wonderful: bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and a great selection of small plates. I really like the tapas-style concept, which lets you share and try a bit of everything. We ordered the Roti Canai, a Malaysian flatbread that was golden brown, crisp on the outside, and fluffy inside, served with spicy coconut curry gravy. Recommend by our server and easily one of the best bites of the night. The Asian Bao with pork belly was soft and savory, the Char Kway Teow noodles were flavorful with shrimp and chicken, and the Wontons with Hot Sauce came drizzled with a roasted peanut-chili oil that packed some good heat. Every dish was delicious and was delivered fast. That said, the atmosphere feels more like a mall food court: very loud and lacking ambiance. Prices are reasonable, and the servers are friendly and efficient. They serve beer (though none on draft). I did notice a ceiling patch that hasn’t been painted yet. Overall: Food 5/5, Service 4/5, Ambiance 3/5. Go for the food, it’s worth it.

Five stars in all categories. This was our first time dining at a Malaysian restaurant in Orlando. As a food enthusiast, I was thrilled to experience the unique flavors of the dishes we ordered. We started with the appetizer, Pasembur salad. Fresh jicama sprinkled with brown sauce gave the salad a satisfying crunch, and the sauce had a truly unique flavor. The Yangzhou fried rice with shrimp (no soy sauce) was very good but lacked some heat. Adding a little chili paste have it the extra kick it needs. The Indian mee goreng also had a unique flavor, with well seasoned noodles and nicely balanced spices. The kari mee, a noodle soup, was perfect, great spices and bold flavors. We plan to visit again to try more dishes.

Southeast Asian cuisine in a lively dining room on Orlando’s East Colonial Drive. We’ve been twice recently and just love this place. It’s always packed but easy to get seated. The dining room is lively and staff is constantly keeping a watchful eye. The Summer Rolls are a great starter. If you like cold noodles, you can’t go wrong with the Sesame Chilled Noodles. The Lettuce Wraps are a great vegetarian option, both light and packed with flavor. Last but definitely not least, the Wonton with Hot Sauce. Don’t pass this one up, I still dream about it!

Incredibly fast and friendly service! We got here pretty early but it seemed relatively slow through the evening for a weekend. Beware they have the "this burgers gonna cost $20, chairs" :) We got roti, pan fried pot stickers, summer rolls, roast duck, tofu bites, crispy roast pork, beef bulgogi skewers, and basil fried rice. Roti was sooo good we ordered a second plate lol it is $7 which I don't feel is a great value since it's only two pieces and gravy but it obviously didn't stop us lol. Pot stickers weren't the traditional pan fried but more so a traditional deep fry. Unexpected but such a welcome change. Summer rolls were eh, seemed to be more lettuce than anything. And man this restaurant looooves lettuce as a garnish. Roast duck, fresh and crispy but overall not much to write home about. Tofu bites were good and had a nice fry on them. Crispy roast pork was kind of dry but undeniably crispy. Beef bulgogi skewers were so tender and flavorful, obsessed. Basil fried rice, I love Thai basil but I'm not sure if they let this go on a little too long but it had a certain smell and taste one may associate with Colorado. Dunno what was going on there but I wouldn't get it again. All in all loved this place, the service, and the food.

This has been on my bucket list of places to try for a while. The other week while running errands in the Mills50 area, I stopped by for a quick lunch. They have a great spacious space and parking can be hard on a busy weekend. There is parallel parking g out front on Colonial or you can just head to the back lot or parallel part on the side on Woodword or Shine by the neighborhoods. I ordered the roti canal, egg rolls, and Kari mee. The roti was delicious. The curry sauce could have been hotter; temperature wise. The egg rolls were so so and the Kari mee was delicious but again could have been hotter temperature wise. It cooled down fast. Service was pretty quick and prompt but still so-so. The waitress who waited on me was not really engaging nor did she really seem like she wanted to be there. Would probably go back, but wouldn't go out of my way.

It's been a few years, but we are back in Orlando for another Cheer Nationals so it was time to revisit this location of Mamak. The parking in the rear is important because there's really no parking in the front and if you do find one, it's only for 1 hour. Interior still the same cool vibe with warm yellow lighting and ambiance. Tammy's Tom Yum Mee was as delicious as the last time. Large bowl with a plentiful amount of noodles. The mushrooms, shrimp and peppers floated in a delicious tom yum soup. The indian mee goreng was also delicious. The wok fried noodles had a nice flavor topped with crushed peanuts. The nasi goreng indonesia was also delicious, but it was hot! I liked the medium fried egg whose runny yolk coats the rice. The highlight of the meal was the roti with curry. The roti was pan fried to a golden brown. Dipped in the little bowl of chicken curry... Yom Yom Yom Yom. A bit of a downer was the removal of their ice kachang dessert from their menu. It was another 5 star visit. Thanks Mamak.

I recently visited Mamak Asian Street Food, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The seating process was quick, and we were promptly shown to our table by friendly and helpful waitstaff. The menu is impressively large, offering a great variety of dishes. The interior is warm and inviting, with a nice blend of modern and traditional elements, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal. We tried several dishes, but the standout for us was definitely the pork belly. It was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and bursting with flavor. Mamak delivers on all fronts with quick service, a diverse menu, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy Asian street food in a cozy setting.

We happened to be in this area bc we found parking and we were hangry. We had several options in this area including Hawaiian and Chinese. We chose this place. It reminded me of Hawkers. I originally wanted a Won ton Soup which they said they didn't have any wontons left. Then I was going to pick another soup but really wasn't feeling it. Finally decided on the ginger scallion fish which is under the tapas menu but this was a great size serving for the price. We ordered bao buns which were sweet and savory but it was not my husband's fave bc of all the veggies and because it was steamed which they are mostly steamed except one place we found. He ordered beef chow fun. He liked it, but I did not. I do still think about Kai Kai's beef chow fun, so that's why. This was ok for us. Not so so memorable but not a repeat. Service was just ok, she really just took our order and that was it.

I first visited Mamak a while back but held off on writing a review until I had the chance to go a few more times. Well, I've definitely been back, and now it's become my go-to lunch spot while at work since it's just down the street. Whether I dine in or pick up, the experience is consistently great. The service is impressively fast, which is perfect when I'm on a lunch break. Lately, I've been opting to sit and eat in the restaurant, and it's always a smooth experience. The servers are pleasant and attentive, which makes the quick turnaround even better. I typically go about an hour after they open, so it's never too crowded, and I can enjoy my meal in a relaxed atmosphere. I'm so happy to have Mamak as an option nearby--great food, efficient service, and an overall convenient spot that checks all the boxes for a solid lunch break!

Mamak is a top tier food joint that provides a great selection of Asian street food that is perfect to share with family and friends! Mamak definitely encourages you to eat and share food as a party because food comes as soon as it's done in the kitchen regardless if the other food you ordered is ready or not. This makes it the ideal place to bring a bunch of people, order a bunch of different dishes, and split the bill!! Between my girlfriend and I, we ordered 4 different items and still had leftovers by the time we were full! The standout dish for me was their Mamak wings: super crispy and juicy and pairs nicely with their sweet bulgogi sauce! Oh and can't go wrong with the roti bread: super fluffy and light even for bread and was super tasty! One thing I'm disappointed about is their inclusion of people with food allergies. We tried to put the shrimp that usually is included in the Yangzhou fried rice to be placed on the side (that way my girlfriend can still have some shrimp and I could eat the rice safely with my allergy to seafood), but they informed us that they unfortunately could only either take the shrimp out entirely or leave it in the dish. This sucked cause my girlfriend really wanted the shrimp and the only way to guarantee it in the dish is if it stays in the rice which meant I couldn't have it...I decided to take the L and keep the shrimp so I wasn't able to try the rice which was sad. Mamak was a yummy place that lets you try multiple dishes when you bring the right amount of people! They gotta work on the way they handle food allergies though, and for that they're getting a star taken down. Still though, great food and great ambiance in a place that has a lot of things to do around the area! Definitely recommend!

We decided to try this place, but the experience was mixed. It was our second time here, but it had been years since the last visit. When we arrived, there was no host at the station and no communication about the process. After waiting 20 minutes and being ignored, we finally had to ask about a waitlist or estimated time. The "host" jotted down my name and phone number, guessed a 15-minute wait (after being prompted), but it ended up being closer to 20-25 minutes. Management was nowhere to be seen throughout this whole ordeal. Now, onto the food and drinks we had: Spicy tots BBQ pork bao Beef bulgogi skewers Edamame Pan-fried dumplings Lo mein Roti canai (plain) Dessert: Chocolate banana roti Drinks: The sunset cocktail and a glass of wine. Most of the food was solid, but there were some disappointments. The dumplings never came out until we asked about them. The bulgogi skewers were a letdown--the meat was chewy, and the sauce was watery and bland. Easily our least favorite dish. On the flip side, the roti canai was very good! Flavorful and definitely a highlight. The spicy tots were probably my second favorite, beat only by the dessert. Service was okay. Our server was nice and trying their best, but they seemed overwhelmed, especially since they were also managing the bar. We found out later she was only supposed to be bartending, but was helping the wait staff out of necessity. Completely not her fault. Aside from the missed dumplings, the food came out hot, fresh, and fast. It really seems like more of a management issue. Overall, the food had some great moments (the roti canai, tots, and dessert stood out), but the poor organization and service issues took away from the experience. Not sure if I'd rush back.

What a great place for date night. The place itself is spacious and casual. Our server was polite and food came promptly. From the tapas we had the roti canai which was a 10/10. If you have not tried it yet you should! Next we shared pork belly bao buns and the mear just melted in your mouth. For mains, my husband had the nasi goreng indonesia and it was perfectly cooked and spicy. I had the indian mee goreng and the noodles were perfect and the sweetness was just right. If this place were in west palm beach I would definitely be a regular customer.

We came here to try and I've been seeing it near sampagita ice cream shop. I ordered Wonton Mee, there's good amount of noodles, wonton, bbq pork and the soup was really good since it was a little cold last night. It was filling 10/10. My partner got Pad Thai, it was fresh noodles and soft perfectly cooked. It was too spicy for me but the spicy was good for him. 10/10. Roast Bbq pork, there's some parts that is tender and some parts are hard to chew and the flavor is good. 8.5/10. Mamak wings absolutely delicious even without the sauce. Wings cooked well and there's no blood inside which is great!! It was light battered amazing! 10/10. The service was great, there's a lot of people dining but our waitress took care of us. She always checks on us. Staff are friendly! The place was clean and neat, I love they have different seating options. We will come back here again.

This was good. I'd go back for a chill lunch or dinner. First, service was slow. It was not busy, maybe 5 other tables, but the waits to get initially served, then to get our drinks and order were noticable to the point that my friend and I commented on it. The runner that actually brought the food was very nice. The food was pretty good. None of it was particularly amazing, but all of it was good. The mojito sake drink was really good, as was the lychee saketini. I think in my head I expected this to be a higher end restaurant. As more of a casual lunch space, it might have set my bar lower and made me feel better about it.

Food came out quick and we were seated quickly which was a good thing for a Friday night. Ambiance was chill and aesthetically pleasing/casual. Roti canai- 8/10- fluffy and sauce was tasty. Pork belly bao- 6/10 - Reason being is the size of the baos warrants in my opinion to be an order of 3 not 2. Because for $3.50 more I could've ordered another fried rice which was our favorite thing we ordered. - I understand it's tapas style but I couldn't justify the price for the amount/what I received. Fries - 0/10- these were a joke! Veryyy underwhelming, they were just crinkle cut fries with some chili sauce on the side. Swerve on these. Nasi Goreng Indonesia (Fried rice) - 9.5/10- packed with flavor , alittle spicy and perfectly cooked! I will come back for this! Pad Thai 7/10 - flavor was good, not great in my opinion. For me the "bite" that I like to the noodles was missing.

Mamak Asian Street Food in the Mills District is hands-down one of my favorite spots in Orlando. Every time I come here, I leave impressed and satisfied. This tapa-style restaurant is a serious contender to Hawkers. Theyre menus are extremely similar I have a few go tos I always go for the Duck Fried Rice and Basil Fried Rice are absolutely packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and just hit the spot every time. The BBQ Pork is melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the wings? Crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. I've tried a lot on their menu, and I can confidently say I've never had a dish I didn't like. The vibe of the place is another reason I keep coming back. It's well-lit and stylishly decorated, striking that perfect balance between trendy and welcoming. Whether you're coming here with friends, family, or even on a date, the atmosphere feels just right. On top of that, the staff is always friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which just adds to the experience. Service is also quick because like every tap a spot your dishes come out as they are ready so there's never a long wait. Mamak has become one of my go-to spot whenever I'm in the Mills District. If you're looking for bold, flavorful dishes served in a great atmosphere, this is the place to be. You won't be disappointed!

This is a fun spot to go to. The ambience is nice. I like to order several small plates and share. I had the edamame, very yummy. Also had the wontons with spicy peanut sauce, my fave! I also enjoyed the pork - although the second time i ordered it the meat was a little tough, but the first time it was perfect, so maybe a one off. I had the veggie lo mein, it was alright. The service was good, quick seating and food came out quickly. Although one of my friend's order came out super late and another one never came out ... but my food did.

I really enjoyed my first visit to Mamak. The menu of Asian street food tapas all sounded so delicious, it was hard to choose. I tried the bulgogi lettuce wraps and fried dumplings as appetizers and both were super tasty. I also had the Tom yum soup as an entree which was a large portion filled with tons of veggies and shrimp and was super flavorful. The ambiance of the restaurant has a nice modern feel. Overall I would recommend!

This place is still tried and true. Consistently delicious throughout the years I have been going. My staples are the wontons in spicy sauce, pasamber salad, black, bean fish, lettuce, wraps, and the ginger tea. All delish. They have wonderful vegetarian options too.

The food was amazing! My friend and I split two tapas and it was plenty of food! The service was quick and efficient. It is one big open space so it was a smidge loud, but other than that it was clean and lots of room for different sized groups.

Have been visiting Mamak for years. This visit was different than prior visits. Everything was good, but it was missing the edge I've loved in prior visits. The food was good and the drinks were alright, but I'm used to drooling over my food at Mamak because it's so fresh and delicious. We had bulgogi skewers, roti, hot dumplings and noodles. The noodles were very salty. And the dumplings weren't piping hot, barely warm and had no spice to them. The skewers had a taste like when something sits in the fridge too long. The roti was delicious. It was all enjoyable and I'll visit again outside of holidays to see if the experience is back to the amazingness I've encountered before. I'm chalking this difference in experience to the holidays and business. The restaurant was moderately busy and our server seemed to have many tables. She was still attentive and service was quick. And they were quick to clean and reset tables as they turned.

Cute casual spot, great service. Went for lunch/brunch. I had the friend rice (little bit salty), tofu bites, roti, and a mimosa. I enjoyed everything that I ordered. There are mimosa deals on the weekends. Hubby tried the wings, bbq roast pork, and octopus skewers. He enjoyed everything except the skewers, he felt there was too much breading, not much meat, and the meat was too chewy. I would return!

My husband and I tried this place on our date night last week. We had heard a lot about it and were excited to try it. I really wanted to love it, but unfortunately it wasn't the best experience for us. For the good: most of the food we tried was good! The restaurant was clean and nice and there was not a wait to be seated. A lot of the items are tapas style, but you can get things that are more filling if you are really hungry. My husband and I shared a few items. We got the Mamak wings, the roti, the wontons with hot sauce and a few other items. The wings and the roti were good we just didn't like the wontons. The service wasn't great. The waitress wasn't the nicest or very attentive, but maybe it was just an off night. I'm glad we tried it, but we probably won't be back.

A new pre-Thanksgiving tradition a great meal before the big meal. Awesome service and lots of amazing options. Get the Roti and order enough for the whole family. Lots of great options.

When it comes to asian tapas Mamak does it best, theres a very similar option just down the road on Mills, but I think Mamak's food is better course by course. My must haves everytime are the wontons with hot sauce and the roti with curry sauce. The sauce the wontons come is so good half the time I use the roti to soak it all up. The dumpling wrapper if very thin and tender and melts in your mouth. I have also had their sweet potato tots, pan fried dumplings, satay, fresh summer rolls and bao buns. I think the bbq pork is the best filling for the bao and rolls, but my husband likes the duck. I do think the service here could be a little improved, it's always a little unorganized and can be hard to get someone's attention. The bathroom has also always been dirty when I used it and the whole area smells quite a bit. Luckily the food is so good, I keep coming back.

Mamak Asian Street Food is one of my favorite tapas spots! Usually, when I think of tapas, I think of Spanish food, so it's nice to do a tapas-style meal with Asian flavors instead. I love that I can get a bunch of different little plates and try a bit of everything. On this occasion, I tried the lettuce wraps, the pasembur salad, the tofu bites, and the crispy roast pork. I also got the mamak wings because they're so good I have to get them every time I go there. Everything was amazing except for the tofu bites. I was expecting them to be crispy, but they were soggy. They were also not very flavorful. Everything else was great though! The prices were fair considering the quality and quantity of the food. I split all my tapas with someone else and we both felt stuffed by the end. We might've actually ordered way too much food. The service and ambiance of the restaurant are also great. Our server was super friendly and attentive. We couldn't decide on a sauce for our wings so he brought one of each for us! I like that the restaurant has big windows and there's tons of natural light. It has comfy but modern vibes. Definitely a great spot for some Asian tapas.

Yum, yum, and yummThis is my third time eating here and I swear it tastes better every visit. We got sat fairly quickly and service was good. I love the setup of the restaurant and the lights are very welcoming.

I sat at the bar and received great service. Everything I had was amazing and I cannot wait to try more. Malaysian coconut kari-- Perfect amount of spice and a good amount of chicken. Bulgogi skewers-- Very tender & flavorful. Mamak fries-- Crispy with a hint of sweetness in the spices Thai tea-- Delicious and balanced flavor.

Well this was a bust! I will keep it short.. weird. The flavor was good but the protein ( shrimp in our case) was lacking and looks and tastes like it was a Walmart store medium sized special. Service was good and respected our protein choices, but the table cleaner was walking around; sipping on her drink and lounging around. Very strange and unprofessional. Not returning here ..

I had a free day off from work and I was wandering around downtown Orlando when I realized I had never actually tried this restaurant before. I go to the coffee shop next-door to work and sometimes my boyfriend and I will go to the DJ store across the alleyway, but I didn't even know this place existed because I've only ever seen it from the backside. Well that's where most of the people enter the restaurant, so I walked in. Once you get inside you're immediately greeted by a waitress who will take you to a table and take your drink order. I forget what drink I ordered, but I had three of them. They were absolutely delicious and I was drunk within 15 minutes, but not too drunk to order some skewers and a very delicious salad. The waitress was attentive, but not annoying. The prices were reasonable and I had a great afternoon.

Ambiance is lovely! Service is decent but the food is outstanding! I've been here for my birthday, bright family here in multiple occasions. My mom even requests to come back here every now then. This is always so good! The roti canai is to die for. It's like a thin crispy croissant & tortilla has a flaky fluffy flat baby. Not to mention the yummy sauce it comes with! Will definitely come back and highly recommend!

Oh my goodness I love this place! Every time I come I get the roti and it is divine. I love trying something different each time and there is plenty on the menu to allow this. It's a seat yourself spot and the servers are pretty quick to jump in and take care of you once you get seated.

The food are okay beautiful ambiance. The service was very attentive. Bathroom is cleaned. Try it yourself. It was my first time. They serve beer and wine.

Our best thing tonight was ; 1) Tom Yum Mee, we did it without shrimp. Still great taste 2) Char Kway Teow, without shrimp. Amazing 3) Black Bean Fish is good also 4) Cheese Rangoon were good also Basil fried rice. Were ok.

Came here on Friday at around 5pm. Parking is a bit of a pain but plenty of seating in the restaurant. Overall, my wife and I enjoy many of the dishes. Two standouts were the sesame balls and the chicken lettuce wraps. The pork buns were ok. $10 for 2 and they are a decent size but i found them too sweet and nothing special. Doused in sauce, both of them broke. I ordered tofu summer rolls but received shrimp. No matter they were good and came with exceptional peanut sauce. Wife enjoyed her pad thai as i did my soup. I did realize i am not a big fan of roast pork but it goes well with the soup Service was average as you get 4/5 people serving your dishes. Minus the buns, we enjoyed our meal and the prices were fare. See pics below.

The place is right in the middle of the Asian section of Colonial. This is more of a mixed, Asian fusion. Though they are tapas style, the serving is enough for 2 people. The edamame was not good. Tasted burned and very salty. The Asian Bao was tasty and prepared right. Beef haw fun was oily, spiced right and heavy. The crispy pork was peeped well, though it was a little tough. The sauce made it way better. Lychee drink (not in the picture because my daughter finished it right away) was a favorite. The noise level was moderate. Prices were as moderate

I heard about this place from a friend and we finally had to chance to stop by for lunch. I knew that it was a very close menu to Hawkers, which I'm a fan of, so I was already expecting certain things. The interior is so pretty and super clean. The service was great and everyone seemed very accommodating and friendly. We ordered some appetizers and I always go for the roti. It was pretty good! My friend ordered the cream cheese rangoons and shared -- tasty but can be very messy, so just beware. The pad Thai looked delicious so I was very excited to try it. Although it tasted great, I felt like I didn't get that much noodles. My friend ordered the same thing and it seemed like she had too much noodles. That's the only thing I wasn't super thrilled about, but overall it was a great experience and I enjoyed it! I recommend trying this place out if you haven't yet!

Absolutely amazing! It was love at first to check in lol. Free edamame? Absolutely! I walked in exactly at 11 AM when they opened. There was a gentleman at the front of seated me. It took a while for a server to come and greet me, but she was very nice when she did. I forgot her name. We ordered the edamame and the fries for appetizers. The fries were so yummy, but it was a very small amount. We ordered Malaysia noodles, the Indonesian fried rice, as well as the chicken satay. Everything was delicious! The Indonesian fried rice was a little bit more on the spicy side, but it was still yummy. They even accommodated us with a hard cooked egg. I know, I know, but I liked my eggs fully cooked. The vibes were really nice inside and I loved the modern feel! They have a bar as well with lots of specials. It IIt started to get pretty busy by the time we left, a very popular spot. The parking lot in the back is very convenient, although I can get pretty crowded quickly. There is parking in the street, in the front of the restaurant, but it is only for one hour. I will definitely be back to try more items on the menu! It is also next-door to two amazing places, Sampaguita, and Haan coffee!

3.5 stars TL;DR: Malaysian inspired tapas in a modern atmosphere You can enter here either in the back or front entrance and are greeted and seated quickly. Our server was quick and attentive, though he had several tables that he needed to attend to. FOOD: ~Ageta shokushu (3.5/5): Octopus was tender and lightly fried ~Mamak Fries (3/5): Personally, not a fan of crinkle fries, but these were nice and crispy. The seasoning wasn't very strong, but the chili sauce was really good ~Roti Canai (4/5): Roti was nice, warm, and texture was great. The sauce was delicious. Ordered an additional roti ~Pork Belly Bao (2/5): Couldn't taste much of the pork belly. There was an unbalanced ratio of veggies and meat ~Roasted pork (2.5/5): flavor was good and meat was tender. Which it was a little more roasted or charred ~Roasted duck (3.5/5): was soft and flavorful, but there were pieces that were a bit overcharred. Presentation could use some work. ~Char Kway Teow (3/5): decent but which it had a stronger punch of flavor ~Duck Fried Rice (5/5): was very tasty and could really taste the duck Food was definitely hit or miss, but there are lots of options to choose from!

I love this hole in the wall restaurant served tapas style! It's a place where you can dress casual and grab a quick bite to eat or make a whole meal of it. The wings were delicious with a perfect crunch & a variety of sauces to choose from. The service was 8/10 but a little slow which happens to the best of us. They were all very friendly and all my questions were answered with a smile. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu because there was plenty of options!

Another delicious dinner per usual. Came to celebrate my mom's birthday last night with my sister and stuff are always friendly, the ambience is relaxing, and the food is always delicious. We ordered our favorite roti as our appetizer along with their potstickers and sliced pork bao. We also ordered the pad Thai, which is my mom's favorite and the beef haw fun. Always a good experience here we will be happy to go back anytime.

This place was pretty good! We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. And to top it off the pricing was affordable. This is a great place to come to if you're not that hungry. Because you can just get a lot of appetizers for a great price that will fill you up. We all got different suits though and enjoyed all of them besides the curry soup. I think the curry soup is just a matter of preference and taste. The food was so good that we completely forgot to take pictures of the duck bao bun, which was amazing! And the chicken satay

I came to eat at this place on a Saturday. It was extremely busy. We had a reservation and didn't wait at all. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the duck fried rice, wontons, roti, and wings. The food was perfect. One of my favorites. Really the ambience was really nice, the only reason I didn't give a five star was because we ordered a ton of appetizers and then our food and the entire time no one ever came to clean up plates or ask us if we wanted refills

I was really contemplating between a 3 and 4 rating. Yelp should really give you the option for 1/2 ratings.... Asian street food. I love that concept. Similar to Hawkers. Roti Canai 9/10 - hot and crispy roti with a nice curry dipping sauce. The restauranteur inside of me is saying the sauce should've been served in plastic ramekins instead of styrofoam but it's not really that big of a deal. Wontons with hot sauce 6/10 - not the best wontons I've had. Maybe because it was chicken and shrimp. Made for a pretty firm wonton. Sauce was just ok . A mix of sweet, savory and a little spice. Wonton noodle soup ?/10 - I didn't eat this item but was given some of the bbq char sui in the dish. While a traditional Hong Kong wonton noodle soup doesn't require char sui, this piece of pork was poorly executed. It was not roasted prior to being served in the soup, more like boiled. No caramelization on the outside and I can almost guarantee the color came from food coloring. Singapore Mei Fun 5/10 - normally I love this dish but this was once again poorly executed. The cook/chef for some reason added either a lot of sauce or water while cooking this resulting in a very wet dish when it's suppose to be dried wok fried (as stated in the menu). No wok hei achieved here. While they have a good concept, execution of the dishes needs to be improved. One day when I try all of the restaurants in that area, I'll give this place another try.

When someone just wants to eat somewhere, and they want asian food, I'll tell them Stick Rice, Hawkers, Mamak. And choose whatever. Because the menus are varied enough that theres probably something for everyone. It's a jack of all trades but a master of none, in my opinion. Ive been going here for years and the food is always okay. I dont crave it to any crazy extent, Its a meeting place of friends when we simply can't decide on anywhere else. But if you come here Id say you can't go wrong with the duck. The duck is good. It can be loud, which is why I can't really suggest it as a date spot if you wanted something low key. But the service is fine and you'll be in and out relatively quickly. Maybe even next door to get some ice cream.

A group of us were looking for a late night place to eat and wow did this restaurant give us great food. We tried several signature dishes and all of them hit the spot. Everything was flavorful yet comforting; anyone who enjoys spicy foods and southeast Asian flavors will be impressed. The juicy chicken Satay Skewers were great for sharing bites to start. The fried rice dishes would also be easy to share, if everyone wants a taste of that good wok-hey fire. Look out for the word spicy if you need to avoid! The noodle soups are meant more for individuals, as it's hard to share a big soup bowl. But the noodle dishes can be shared. I really loved the Char Kway Teow, especially since I don't often get to order Malaysian cuisine. This place is really a gem, with an easy to understand menu that offers a wide range of real good Asian food.

Normally Mamak is not the first place I think of when I want to go out and eat. But whenever I do go, I'm always pleasantly surprised. My usual is the roti canai and prawn mee. The edamame is alright, I've had better. I'd say save your money on the edamame and get the roti canai (make sure to ask for an additional roti!) or satay if you want an appetizer. The chicken satay is yummy, mainly the peanut sauce that comes with it! If you're feeling noodle soup, you can't go wrong with the prawn mee or the kari mee. The staff is friendly and patient, and the restaurant has cute/modern/cozy vibe. Having been to Malaysia and having had the same dishes there, I will say, it's not the same in terms of flavor but very close. Overall good. If you need to get the Malaysian food itch out, this will probably be the closest option you'll have in Orlando. And if you've never been, it's worth a try.

Such a healthy choice with Mamak ... service is great and I love the mosaic they play ... and the good selection is always good ... I totally recommend this place .

very good and fair prices. the Rangoon was soooo delicious. I had the Nasi Goreng Indonesia which was OK - the chicken and shrimp were undercooked and tasteless. I wish their menu had pictures like the website does. My friend had the Wonton Mee and she loved it! will def going back to try other stuff!
