Lovely coffee shop! We just had coffee and it was very nice, beautifully decorated but seemed short-staffed. The place is small and doesn’t have many tables, tables are also small, the issue is that most of them were dirty and full of plates from previous customers :( we had to seat in one dirty table. Coffee took a while, so they are not the fastest and we didn’t mind to wait a few minutes but being seated in a dirty table did not make our waiting very pleasant :/ anyways, the place has potential to bright up.

Went to Maman for the first time and had no idea they had multiple locations! Lovely place with super cute decorations and environment. Great coffee selection and good selection of baked items (will have to go back to try it)! My friend had a dietary restriction and they were super accommodating, checking twice to make sure they gave her the right order. Would recommend!!!

Google
This location is a gem for people with friends visiting from out of town! From here you can walk to the high line (and hopefully do some perfume shopping next door at Kilian!). Mamam has the best sandwiches (we know this) but the latte selection is great! I recommend the Pistachio mocha latter (or ditch the coffee for a pistachio hot chocolate). If you substitute with pistachio milk as well it’s doubly as good! (Just and FYI it’s $12 which is pricier than the average $8/9 latte) Will be back with friends💙

I arrived at this establishment at 5:50 PM. The sign outside clearly advertised happy hour until 6:00 PM. However, upon entering, I was told happy hours not very happy and were no longer available, and instead I was offered morning pastries. If you’re closing the bar at 5:30, be honest and state that clearly. Leaving the signage up and then refusing to honor the offer is misleading and disrespectful to customers’ time and expectations.

Google
Lovely place with great pastries and lunch options. We enjoyed the smoked salmon salad, the passion fruit ball and the pineapple cube. Everything was tasty, and the staff friendly!

Google
A very young skinny lady with brown hair (barista) was rude and unhelpful. I was waiting for an unreasonable amount of time for my matcha latte, and she was purposely being slow and rude. A whole experience would have felt nicer if she was actually friendly and a nice human being in general.

Google
I absolutely loved my experience at maman! The workers were very kind and attentive (especially Dan who brightens up my mornings). The food, pastries, and drinks are delicious and they always have a creative special :) definitely my favorite spot for brunch or a quick pick me up

Wonderful staff excellent coffee and my wife loved her Mimosa . The outside seating is very nice ( just need more) Thank you all

Yelp
I went to Maman to try their seasonal pastry, the mango passionfruit beach ball. It is like a croissant dough with the mango passionfruit cream filling. The filling was delicious, not too sweet and has perfect sourness from the passionfruit. It is perfect for summer and I loved it! They had other pastries which looked good as well, I definitely come back to try their summer pastries!!

Yelp
Love Maman! It has become one of my go tos when I need a solid pastry and coffee. Is it as unique as other coffee shops? No. Is it a solid choice that never misses? Absolutely. If its available get the Cheddar and Scalion Scone it is beyond delicious!

Yelp
Very cute spot in the Chelsea area to grab a coffee, snack, or lunch! My mom and I stopped in for lunch after walking the high line and checking out the little island and weren't disappointed. The barista at the counter was very sweet and recommended her favorites, I ended up getting the veggie wrap and my mom got an everything croissant salmon sandwich. There's a good amount of seating for the size of the location however, the cafe filled up very fast as we were waiting for our food and we saw many people end up taking their food to sit outside because of lack of seating. Overall my food turned out great and was exactly what I was looking for. Just keep in mind that this location gets busy!

Yelp
My mom and I stopped by to get a quick bite before our appointment nearby and the service was quick even though there was a long line! It is such a charming cafe with a cozy atmosphere and beautiful decor. It's a great spot for coffee, pastries, and a light meal. Next time I go, I would definitely just stick with pastries!

Yelp
In NYC for business, found on yelp. Almond croissant was best I've ever had. Iced latte extra shot was also excellent. Not crowded, just perfect. Highly recommend

Yelp
maman is a great breakfast spot near the High Line. The front door is covered in a floral display and the inside is pretty and peaceful. Their iced vanilla latte was good and we enjoyed the the quiche and breakfast sandwich we ordered. I would return here!

Yelp
On a recent Saturday, I was meeting a friend at the Whitney to see Edges of Ailey. Go see this amazing exhibition before it leaves Feb. 9! I needed a little coffee and something sweet to start my day. Maman is conveniently located right around the corner from the museum. It's a charming little French-inspired café with lots of yummy things to try. I got the pistachio chocolate croissant which I shared with my friend L. We both loved it. I also got the nutty chocolate chip cookie which we were going to split later but completely forgot about. Sadly, I was forced to eat the cookie all by myself - lol. I love soft chewy cookies and this chocolate chip cookie is all of that plus its loaded with macadamia nuts, almonds, walnuts, & dark chocolate wafers. To satisfy my caffeine craving, I ordered the mocha which hit the spot as it was a cold and blustery day. The next time I go to the Whitney, I'll definitely return to Maman beforehand.

Yelp
Maman is a small cafe that serves pastries and coffee. There are several stores around Manhattan, so this review is specific for this location. I had the Everything Croissant as recommended by the server. The croissant itself was rather plain as the texture was decent but the flavor was underwhelming. In addition, this cafe does not offer WiFi, so it was difficult to get work done here.

Yelp
A slice of LA in New York, this is like the Ralph's of the village but LA coded. It's very chill. Patient staff. My girlfriend got a matcha oatly and she said it was really good. I had some tea (can't mess that up or you shouldn't be in business right?) I love the seating area it just feels like you're in West Hollywood similar to BBCM. Would definitely go back on another chill Sunday.

Yelp
Food: great for a quick bite! They have a ton of pastry options, sandwiches, salads, etc. I got the turkey sandwich and it was delicious. Coffee: Iced latte was good - nothing noteworthy Service: consistently very kind. Ambiance: There's plenty of room to sit inside or outside! It's in a really cute area

Yelp
Before visiting the Whitney museum nearby, we decided to stop by maman for some pastries. The salmon tartine here was a pleasant surprise - there's a generous heaping portion of smoked salmon and avocado. We were able to split the tartine and its toppings comfortably. And gladly so, because the balance of flavors were perfect! After having a quick savory bite, we decided to split two pastries. The chocolate pistachio pastry was absolutely delicious and not too sweet. The mango pineapple pastry was a miss for me. The filling in the middle was not my favorite, and texturally I was not a fan either. Ambiance inside is lively - theres a lot of foot traffic. Tables are extremely close to each other, so be prepared for the awkward squeeze and shuffle to get to the inner seat. Service is kind, but not the most attentive. But overall, a great spot for catching up over some yummy pastries!

Yelp
1/1 Ambience; 1/2 Food; 1/1 Service; 1/1 Value A friend and I stopped in during a rainstorm for a quick reprieve. Maman (like every one of them!) has a super cute ambiance that evokes the French countryside. Service was very friendly and efficient. We ordered through the app and were given a 20 minute wait time, but they were much faster, serving us within minutes. We tried the honey lavender latte, the seasonal iced jasmine pistachio latte, the nutty chocolate chip cookie, and a slice of the seasonal lavender blueberry loaf cake. Maman's older version of the lavender blueberry loaf cake was in all honesty superior to the current version which tasted much too dense and dry. The nutty chocolate chip cookie is delicious and worthy of its reputation as one of the best in the city. The honey lavender latte is one of my go-to favorites being that it is so well-balanced and flavorful. But, it might be the iced jasmine pistachio latte that is my new favorite-- it actually tasted life changing! I wish I had taken a picture, but it was so delicious I devoured it in seconds. I wish it was around a lot longer! Although the drinks run on the steeper side in terms of price, the quality is well worth it and everything was very satisfying. Note: if this is your first time at Maman, download the app for $5 to spend at any location!

Yelp
So glad they opened a location of Maman within walking distance of my office! This location is small and gets super busy at lunch time, so expect long lines and a Hunger Games-style race to grab seating. I usually go for the Tawni salad, and I've tried a few of the treats - including the kouign maman, which was amazing, and chocolate chip cookie, which was meh but maybe it was an off day - and will definitely be back for more.

Yelp
This location was close to an event I was at that was lacking coffee and desserts. Popped over for both. Everything looked decadent! The place was packed so that tells me it would be hard to go wrong no matter what I chose. Ordered a regular coffee and Oprah's favorite cookie. Both were exceptionally good. The space is rustic French with a modern flare. I only have one complaint. The stool I was sitting on was in need of a good tightening. I have no idea how its staying vertical. I checked out the two stools next to mine and they were both missing bolts or screws and could use tuneups, before someone falls off and hurts themselves. Aside from the stools I loved this shop and will definitely check out other locations.

Yelp
Good food and service, very cute place to sit down and rest! The brand can also be found around NYC so you are bound to find one

Emily H.

Yelp
Didn't greet me once, just wanted to order coffee but waited 5 minutes and left. A customer in front of me was taking a long time to decide/order and the cashier should have just said, while you decide let me me continue taking orders. 0/10 customer service

Ana C.

Yelp
The ambiance and staff is the best! Dan always receives me with a kind smile and makes my day better! Will keep coming back to this location!

Yelp
I visited Maman for brunch with 2 friends on a Saturday. We were seated right away, the ambiance was French- inspired and bright, and service was super welcoming. Food-wise, we really liked the Papa's Breakfast Bowl: large, lots of potato's and lots of flavor and the Croque Maman: simple but cheesy and delicious. Pro tip: Avoid the seasonal coffee drinks Prices are reasonable and the ambiance is great at Maman, so I expect I'll be back for brunch here in the future.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful interior! There were many faux plants, but it made the interior so welcoming and inviting. I didn't get anything to eat, but I got one of their specialty coffees. It's not bad, but I wouldn't say it was anything out of the ordinary. This would be a great place to have a date, chit-chat with friends, or simply read a book.
google avatar

Mark T.

Yelp
First rate! Perfect little lunch spot. We had the croque maman and the turkey sandwich - and the best part: Maman doesn't skimp on ingredients. Add a coffee and a peach mango iced green tea and you're ready to challenge the afternoon! Service was snappy and outdoor dining was pleasant.
google avatar

Yelp
Not sure why this is the only photo I have...but the goat cheese blueberry scone changed my life.

Yelp
This place is fire. It a block south of the end of the high line. Super fresh and delicious. Everything on the menu is on the light side. The breakfast bowl is probably one of the heartier options, but it comes with a half of avocado and few sprigs of green. So you feel better about being slightly indulgent :) I was able to find a table easy enough. However, the place is not huge. Getting a table could be a challenge on the weekends or really nice days. Check it out

Yelp
Thank you for your great reaction to my earlier review pointing out the plastic cups. When I went in today, I was delighted to see they've been replaced by glasses. So now I'm a 100 per cent fan of your lovely mini-chain, its great GF food options, and its discount for carry-on mugs.
google avatar

Jamie W.

Yelp
Had the Maman breakfast sandwich and the vegan friendly eggs ratatouille. Both entrees were delicious and had us planning our next visit. The seasonal drinks were also very interesting, refreshing and unique; I would come back and order those as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Best chocolate chip cookies ever, get it warmed. Amazing service. Very cute little space. Not a place to do remote work but a great place to read a book.
google avatar

Ricardo M.

Yelp
I'm sorry maman but removing the espresso martini from your cocktail menu doesn't make sense considering you're a cafe And having to "teach" your cashier about l'apero hour and how your app works was annoying
google avatar

Zehra M.

Yelp
maman is one of my favorite bakeries/patisseries in the city so I was excited to see it open in my neighborhood! Everything is crafted to perfection and the cafe also has some nice seating options if you wanted to grab coffee/tea with a friend. I like that this location is not in the midst of west village chaos, and closer to the water and to the far west side which makes it more relaxed and quaint. I love their seasonal menus - just got their blueberry lavender cookie which was divine.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
Unfortunately Was not the biggest fan of the iced matcha here -- did not have a very strong matcha flavor and was on the watery side.. If i came back id try some of their other offerings but with the steep price point idk if i would return! Ig thats the reality of most places around chelsea but i think id stop by the elk or somewhere else instead

Heather M.

Yelp
Fantastic experience! I recommend the Matcha lemonade. It was a great refreshing drink. Food was delicious.
google avatar

Tiffany L.

Yelp
Small coffee shop conveniently near The Whitney museum. This place gets super packed on the weekends! Space is a little cramped but they have tasty coffee and delicious cookies. I saw that they were also serving lunch items including roasted chicken. Will try out more items next time!

Yelp
The moment I walked into and sat in this cafe, I knew I found one of my favorite spots in NYC. It's a laptop-free environment, which I love because it creates a more present, social vibe - also ironic because I'd go to do work and use Wifi ... selfishly enjoying the vibes the rules create while breaking the rules. So keep in mind you'll need your own wifi (hotspot) if you want to use your laptop there - they won't tell you you can't use it; the staff are extremely friendly and kind as well. Loved it for the food and drink menu too - I love brunch food and pastries, and they have a good selection of healthier brunch food. I tried the pistachio loaf cake, and it was GOOD. Go if you need calmer vibes and something different - an electronics-free atmosphere is something all of us need in this day and age.

Yelp
Place is so cute!! I ordered coffee, croissant, and a sandwich and it was all so good omg!! I will def be coming back! Service was great! Food was amazing!! The sandwich tasted so good
google avatar

Madi H.

Yelp
Came here for a quick walk break with some friends. The coffee was delicious, and I didn't realize the kitchen closed at a particular time but the croissant I got was also delicious. A lovely place to stop and rest my legs.
google avatar

Yelp
Such an amazing way to start off your day! Whether you're on the go or enjoying a day off! The Smashed Avocado Tartine was to die for and the Honey Lavender latte was so light and refreshing! The staff was very friendly and offered recommendations! A highly recommended coffee stop while in the Big Apple!

Wendy F.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the Washington location next to The Highline. Good food. We had just a cinnamon roll but it was quite tasty and easily split between four of us. Pretty decor (think blue willow dishes and airy, light colors). Nice place to start the day or take a brief break.
google avatar

Yelp
Quaint cozy spot for great coffee. I went basic and ordered a black drip coffee and it was very smooth with a nice aftertaste. Also had a chocolate croissant (it was good room temp but a few seconds heated up and it would have been phenomenal) .counter help was very pleasant and friendly.
google avatar

Elianny S.

Yelp
This location is super cute! It feels like a cute French country kitchen where you can just relax while enjoying the decor. They offer a variety of sandwiches, salads, breakfast items and baked goods. My friend ordered the Katie sandwich which is chicken with basil aioli on ciabatta bread. She thought the sandwich was very dry and not very tasty. We also ordered the Nutella beignet and the white chocolate blueberry lavender cookie. The Nutella beignet was good but not overly sweet despite the sprinkled sugar. I was not a fan of the blueberry lavender cookie, it just didn't really feel like a cookie and didn't really taste like the description. Overall this place is super cute but the food we tried was below average.

Sophisticated C.

Yelp
Do not order delivery from this place. They use some non-Uber 'service' that has basically no drivers and no automatic notification that a driver left and a new driver is needed. So your food could be ready and just sitting there INDEFINITELY with no status update unless you call them repeatedly. So you can wait 30-2 hrs for food and have to call for status updates. How is this reasonable? And how does this ensure the food temperature is safe to eat?
google avatar

Neha K.

Yelp
Pistachio chocolate croissant and chai latte are amazing. Great selection of sandwiches, pastries, and beverages. So much seating and lovely decor

Kaila C.

Yelp
I ordered the Kale Caesar to go. When I got to my office, I noticed the kale had tons of black, mushy spots so I decided just to eat the chicken. As I was eating the chicken, a caterpillar emerged from the salad. Disgusting quality control. Can't believe they'd serve this to a customer
google avatar

Peter T.

Yelp
I used to go to the Maman in Little Italy when I worked in Soho so I was delighted when they moved in on Washington Street. I've been a few times now, and the quality and consistency hasn't waivered at all from my previous Maman experience. The chocolate chip cookies are still to die for, even at $4 (Oprah knows cookies!). I had the Sylvie Beef Sandwich ($14.50) for lunch today and it was delicious. I devoured it. The bread was super fresh and I love the wasabi mayo. I had to save the side of greens for later because it was so big. I look forward to many more meals at Maman and am thrilled they've moved into the neighborhood!

Nina W.

Yelp
Had an amazing pastry, but ordered an iced matcha and it came hot. They don't remake drinks here so I couldn't change it. Other than that it was a nice place. The cookies looked incredible.
google avatar

Amanda T.

Yelp
No wifi and extremely limited outdoor seating. If you want to drink a coffee and enjoy the weather this is not the place for you.

Beria G.

Yelp
Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. We ate here after visiting the Whitney Museum. It wasn't too crowded. We ordered dumplings soup and noodles. The Thai Bubble tea was also delicious and perfectly sweetened.
google avatar

Laura T.

Yelp
Good coffee, good food, sufficient seating, and priced appropriately for the neighborhood.
google avatar

K H.

Yelp
Quiche Gabriella is delicate with a crunchy crust, one of the best I've had. A laptop free cafe.

David C.

Yelp
Everything is sooo good! But service is almost non-existent. The kitchen doesn't care if you're waiting. The order takers don't care. Come after three pm and it's like they're moving in molasses. Oh well.

Meagan M.

Yelp
I have genuinely never even thought to review a place negatively before but I have been to this location multiple times as it's the closest coffee shop to my apartment. Not a huge fan of the coffee or food but that is besides the point - the coffee is a necessary, nearby evil sometimes (ha). But the service is so. slow. And not even very good! They are kind which is obviously great but that's a low bar! There is one person (not trying to identify them in any way) who is so completely un-speedy that I believe they have had to switch roles from cashier to barista because the line would get so long while they were running the cash register. I think forcing them to make the drinks now is even worse. And today, when I reminded them (after waiting for my drink for upwards of 15 minutes) that I was (advised by the cashier) to order cold foam my iced latte, and they had forgotten to put it on there. They (kindly ) "solved" the problem by pouring out most of the espresso and then pouring the cold foam on top! So I just had iced milk!!!! And after such a long time I was so frustrated and ended up going elsewhere to get a different coffee. After spending like 7 dollars on that latte already. I'm so frustrated and I can't go back there while that person is working - they are mind numbingly slow for no apparent reason. Perhaps they should move to LA! I don't want to get them in trouble - but I want them to have a different role!
google avatar

Makenzie W.

Yelp
the coffee is alright, but the coffee flavors and the pastries are the bigger reasons why i go here. this spring they've had a honey lavender and an orange blossom latte that were both lovely, and their rotating pastries are great (although the croissants aren't always fresh, better croissants are elsewhere). the ambiance is also gorgeous, with extensive floral decorations everywhere and hints of french countryside-esque decor.
