Where to Enjoy an Elegant Afternoon Tea in Portland

"At this tea shop with two west side locations, guests relax at two-hour high tea seatings while servers pour unlimited hot tea from a selection of more than 80 choices — black, green, mate and oolong, herbal, and pu-erh tea. Courses of fresh fruit and salad or soup arrive before the main event, when a tiered stand lands at the table with an array of dainty finger sandwiches and sweet treats. The shop makes its own chocolate truffles with spices, herbs, and botanicals, which serve as a sweet cap to the English-style tea service. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free versions are available for an additional fee." - Janey Wong

11 Places to Find Charming Chai Lattes in Portland - Eater Portland

"Mamancy Tea, the new shop based in the tea culture of Kenya, sells an impressive masala chai blend. Although originally conceived as a place for communal sitting and tea drinking, opening during the pandemic has turned Mamancy into a top choice for Beaverton tea lovers. The owner, Anne Johnson, is a certified tea sommelier and chocolatier, so visitors should expect to pick up a decadent dessert to eat alongside their chai tea. Mamancy does not currently offer online ordering for drinks, but tea blends can be purchased through delivery on their website." - Nick Townsend

We had an in store experience for my mother in law’s birthday. The service was great and so were the tea, salad, fruits, sandwiches and sweets! It was worth the money. Thank you and we hope to go back! ❤️

Lavender Clouds

Google
Such a fantastic and cozy place for tea. They have tea and chocolates, they’re pretty wonderful I thought! My favorite tea of theirs are lavender fog and the matcha latte. They make their matcha latte on the sweet side just so you know. If you don’t like it sweet just tell them. The seating area is my favorite, the chairs are so comfy.. I love it!

Google
Perfect treats for afternoon tea! I love it that we can try different tea, and not just limited to one kind like some places. Great service!! We enjoyed every moment of it!!

Google
Lovely little tea shop. The owner was so kind and friendly. I had a delicious caramel frog chocolate. Highly recommend for a nice calm experience. Don’t believe the 1 star reviews, they’re not true. Anne is so sweet, she greeted my roommate by name and was happy to see her again. 10% of Mamancy’s proceeds go to empowering women in Eastern Africa, so I don’t mind paying a bit more for good tea and a good cause.

I’d give it 6 stars. Had a tea and chocolate pairing with some friends. The chocolates are next level. Emily was knowledgable, friendly and warm. Great price for the experience and quality of tea and chocolate. Charming and indulgent with great service. My friends already mentioned doing the other high tea option in a few months. And of course I walked out with some of teas and chocolates we tried to take home 🤣.

Greeted on entry. Wonderful spot to relax and taste around the variety of tea. Chocolates are fun, decorated, with a good variety. Perfect for a cool wintry day.

Walked past this slice of paradise by accident . Drawn in by the velvet upholstery. Golden Chai, my wallet just sighed. The tea is reasonably priced but the gas I will have to buy for the drive here from Vancouver will not be . But alas I will return again , and again . Definitely to try afternoon teatime . 🌼🍵

Sat and drank a lemongrass ginger tea while reading. The chairs are comfy, the energy was friendly and wonderful. I didn’t try any chocolates but they looked good. I love that some of their profits are donated!

Yelp
It's always empty here in Beaverton for a reason. Hillsboro and Lake Oswego... read up. This is a biz model that you will see through. From bulks tea to repackaging. Marketing at best- designed branding and upscale look. That's how they can charge triple. Profit margins of middlemen example. Their tea from Africa is probably the best gimmick here, note: order extra hot (which you will get lukewarm) don't order cold it's horrible. Anyhow we are tea drinkers in nature and didn't get any sense of aroma. It might taste better if you fool yourself that the owner isn't American, up to your judgement ;) I know because I have good friend from Kenya. Many authentic women/minority for good cause out there that you can prove. Gimmicks are everywhere be careful. My recommendation for loose tea to take home; Tea is originated in Asia- here in Beaverton there are great options 1. Asian market for Oulong, Jasmine, Puerh, or 2. Apna Indian market for Chai, or 3. Uwajimaya for authentic matcha, Genmaicha, etc. Educate yourself go get a real deal. You pay a lot less for good stuff plus organic options, get air tight tin containers from Michaels, best consume within a year. And honey from farmers market is real local. Don't be fooled. Talk to the people who make things, not the repacking business. Afternoon tea? Invest in a set of tea pot, order British earl grey, grab pastries from New Seasons and do better yourself or if you have a lot of money left grab a flight to London, skip the fake expensive ones. Warn you.

Yelp
This place is really cute, and like others have said, has some really great potential. I had moderately high hopes, but sadly was disappointed by poor service and lackluster chocolate. The person who served us seemed new and/or not well-trained. She took my order (a hot chocolate for here), but my friend was also going to order some chocolates, so we stood by the register while she prepared the drink. During that time, another woman got in line behind us, but the server didn't greet her at all. She took quite a while to make the drink, and during that time the person behind us gave up and left. My drink wasn't hot at all. I kindly asked her to heat it up more and she did, and it was delicious. A really good hot chocolate! We tried the lavender dark chocolate and earl grey milk. The dark chocolate was overly bitter and both chocolates had kind of a grainy/fatty -not creamy- texture. Overall not great on those. Also, as someone else mentioned there was no saucer for the mug which is like...come on, a group of women are literally having "high tea" to celebrate a baby shower at the next table. It seemed improper to have a mug without a saucer. Overall the presentation was lacking, especially compared to the rest of the shop which was very aesthetic and pleasant. Room to improve: better chocolate texture, better training for staff, some more polish for serving. Oh, and almost all of the brewed teas were out of stock.

Yelp
Initially, i was heading to the Asian Family Market to get some groceries, but this little shop caught my eyes. Their sign said they had hot chocolate and tea, and I thought to myself: ... who can say no to that? The first impression of the shop was good. It was cute, clean, and spacious. On one wall you got array of tea on display, and on the other side you have the tea station along with a chocolate display case. Anne (with an e!) was there to greet us. She briefly introduced herself and explained what they had to offer today. Unfortunately the chocolates were very popular, so the case was a bit empty and we didn't get to try them. We ended up getting two Lavender Fog lattes and they came in super cute pink cups. My cousin was really impressed with the foam on top, since it was super fine and she just loved it! I also enjoyed my London Fog as well. However, If I can give one bit of feedback, I'd love to be able to control the sugar level. The tea latte was good, but it was so sweet that it muted my sense of taste a little. I understand that everyone has a different preference for sugar level, but I have been on a low sugar diet for years. So I think it would be very beneficial for a customer to order full/half/low sugar to their individual tastes. Otherwise the tea latte was nice and warm, and the flavor was enjoyable. Personally I'm very interested in doing high tea with my girlfriends. It sounded like it'd be a fun experience. Also from what I'd heard from Anne, they serve sandwiches, treats, and chocolates, soup, salad and unlimited tea. I don't know about you, but that sounds like a dream to me! If I ever try their high tea, I'll post about that experience too. Like many reviewers have addressed, this shop opened during the height of COVID. Anne told me it was (and still is) really stressful and difficult to keep the business going. So, if you are into tea, chocolate, good company, and/or supporting black owned businesses. You should definitely check this place out!

Yelp
Fabulous! What a lovely tea shop / cafefilled with loose leaf teas in a variety of intoxicating flavors. The Masala Chai black tea had me at hello! I bought a package on the spot. In addition to a wall of teas, organized by health benefit, they also sell home made chocolates, many flavored with tea like a dark chocolate Earl Gray and matcha. They are gorgeous and delicious! There are a few tables and comfy seats so that you can enjoy some tea and treats there. Each table has a tea cup with the prettiest mini flower bouquet; it's all about the details here. They make baked items that rotate daily, but always have scones, cookies and chocolate cake, too. They will even create a High Tea if you are interested. Yes, most definitely! Rather than meet friends for coffee, this is a different and perfect option! Located in the strip mall on SW 117th, the one with TJ Maxx, one would not expect the delightful shop inside. I happened upon it because I needed something from Sally's Beauty next door and when I saw the sign out front announcing Tea & Chocolate, I had to go in. I'm so glad I did! Not only did I buy myself some treats, I'm thinking ahead for Christmas gifts. Along with the teas they sell diffusers, honey, and of course the chocolates. Who wouldn't love a gift basket filled with these yummy items? The founder is from Kenya and in addition to being a minority woman owned business, they give 10% of their profits to organizations that empower women in Eastern Africa living below the poverty line so they can provide for their family and make a difference. Mamancy Tea's chocolate shop/cafe is a gem! The tea and chocolates are exceptional. They opened a few months ago during the pandemic which is super challenging. Please support this business! I've already told my friends about it and now I'm giving a shout out on Yelp! Highly recommend.

Yelp
On a hot weekday afternoon, the nice air conditioning greeted me along with the owner who was off to the side with a friend and the emoloyee at the register. I went straight for the chocolate, each piece is $3 and if you get sets they can be packaged in boxes. I got four in a little bag- chai, dark chocolate filled with raspberry, white chocolate with matcha filling, and milk caramel nut. While my order was being placed, I took look at the tea packages and quite a variety for all tastebuds and even some bubble tea kits. Also, other baked goods like cake pops ($5) and caked, scones. The chocolates are not too sweet and not overpowering with the flavor combinations. The chai isn't too strong and matcha is great! The caramel nut had great texture of the chewy caramel to the hints of nut pieces. Really enjoyed them for a little pick me up. Clean space with lots of seating, cafe drinks available too. The employee who helped me was wearing a mask and had hand sanitizer available at her station. She was knowledgeable and very patient as I was browsing and ordering chocolates. The layout is open with lots of vibrant colors and warmth. Samples of the chocolate available too.

Yelp
Fun, cute place to grab high tea! Mamancy offers high tea with a variety of different food restriction options. This is a fun place to spend an afternoon catching up with friends.

Yelp
I went with 2 GALentines for High Tea and we really enjoyed ourselves! The first course was soup: I opted for the African Peanut Soup bc it was the vegan option. I'd never had that before so I was wary but it was DELICIOUS. Spicy with spices and just enough spicy hot. Our next course was fruit salad: this was a huge bowl with your typical fruits, served cold. It was nice. Then came our tray. On the tray: tea sandwiches (plenty for each of us- cucumber + cream cheese, roast beef with olives on one side and marmalade on the other- my fave, and a curried something, which was also yummy); scones, and my favorite- the top tier of desserts. All made in house and y'all, these chocolates were glossy and GORG. There were also macarons & petit fours. We each had more than enough to enjoy ourselves while there and even extras to take home! For the teas, we had 2 pots of different green/black blends. I can't remember the names but I very much enjoyed them, particularly the 2nd pot. To finish, we enjoyed mint tea. I had the pleasure of speaking with Ann, the owner, whose expertise I could have listened to for the remainder of the day! I took home some green tea energy (blend) and some yerba mate as Vday gift for my hubs, who loved them. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Out of curiosity--and because I love a good strong cuppa--I tried Mamamcy's after stocking up at Penzey's. I liked the feminine and modern decor, the colors, the cleanliness. However, it felt weird to be the only person in the place at noonish. Shelves lining the walls had few bags of loose leaf tea artfully arranged, and the pastry-and-chocolate case was spartan. After a minute, the sole employee came from the back, cheerfully greeted me at the case, and took my order. Chai. I love a good chai. And I ordered a chocolate truffle, too. Now, I am a patient woman. But--for the love of Jesus, Joseph and Mary--nothing prepared me for the ages-long wait for that single cup of chai at Mamancy's. The kind employee mixed and steamed and clacked and fiddled. What felt like hours later, she pushed an overflowing tall mug across the counter. Chai sloshed on the counter and chai sloshed on my table. Call me old fashioned, but were not saucers invented for exactly this reason? The chai was OK--not particularly strong, tea-wise. Overly-sweet. Syrupy. It didn't tase like the chai I drink at Indian restaurants or the chai I make from scratch at home. The bill, my friends, was $14.00.

Yelp
Lovely staff, delicious drinks and sweets. We swing by about once a week to get our favorite teas and hot chocolates while running errands. They can make the hot chocolate vegan, which my kid with a dairy allergiy loves. Their togo cups also seem to keep drinks hot for longer than usual, which seems like a silly thing to call out but it makes a difference when we're out in the cold and rain!

Yelp
I received a very welcoming "Hello, is this your first time in the store today?" "Yes it is, I was just picking up my spices from next door and noticed your little shop and had to stop in." The girl then explained they are a loose tea shop, they have a variety of hot chocolate and coffee but they do not have coffee today. Well that just took a few options off my list to try. I quickly ordered a iced pumpkin chai latte as I quickly scanned the menu for a second opinion and I browsed the many teas strewn on display. They do have a couple tables where you can sit and enjoy your tea, coffee or hot chocolate inside. Also, they have beautifully made chocolates in a display case where you can purchase by the piece or select a few to package up in a gift box. They have helpful posters hanging above the different varieties of teas to educate on the health benefits that the different teas offer. I also ordered a small caramel hot chocolate to take home to my son. I took a sip on my way out to my car to try it and level it off since it was filled to the brim of the flip top closure. The "hot chocolate" albeit tasty, was luke warm at best. I waited 10 minutes for my 2 drinks to be made and there wasn't any one else in front of me. I wasn't going back inside to return it and with Covid I wouldn't even entertain that idea. This shop is pretty new and I believe opened during the pandemic which is a super hard start. I'll give it another try and definitely buy some loose leaf tea next visit. (Unfortunately I had just received a bunch of different teas for Christmas that I need to get thru first.)

Yelp
LAKE OSWEGO ONLY - Not sure about other locations. Do NOT go for High Tea. Weird, dry pumpkin scone. Nice cranberry spread but on a dry rye cracker, awful pairing. Nice vanilla mousse but filled with green grapes with no taste (it is November) cut in 1/2 so the mousse was ruined. Room was sterile and ugly, chairs uncomfortable and waitress played on computer the whole time. When waitress was pouring water she used the side of the pitcher which spilled ice water over the table and ran onto the floor. She just went to my companion and started to pour in the same manner. As the water started to spill out on the table I stopped her and told her to just pour out of the front spout as is the usual way. She did not try to wipe up the spilled water on either side of the table on the floor. I quickly grabbed my napkin and placed it over the spreading pool on the floor. I had to ignore the water on the table because there were not enough napkins. Her only response was to ask me if I wanted another napkin. I told her to get a lot of napkins. I dropped napkins over the mess and we were almost finished before she took away the soaking napkins off the floor. By the way, the napkins were the cheapest Costco napkins that come in a package of thousands. I don't use that kind of napkin except on a picnic at the beach. She was dressed in a sloppy pair of jeans and a hoodie with a band name on the back - so very ugly and unprofessional. The room was ice cold and I requested more heat. Oh yes, she said. Nope. We both had to put our coats on and our feet were freezing when we left. To top it all off, one of the selections was a piece of their "gourmet", hand formed chocolates. It was dry, old, contained 2 peanuts in a small piece of chocolate. We spit it out. Worse we were not warned to avoid if we had a nut allergy. Expect anaphylaxis if you have special eating requirements. The owner breezed in, went to the bathroom, spoke to the waitress, and breezed out. Not a word to us, no asking if we were enjoying the tea service. You must pay in advance. Not only will we never go there again, we were upset and it ruined the whole day.

Yelp
Checked this place out with one of my friends in anticipation of having rented it out for my sister's baby shower. Really cute store next to Sally's that is easy to miss. Very clean and quaint space with color accented walls and furniture. We had the place to ourselves which was really nice. We had some London fogs with lavender and sugar free sweetener. It was actually quite good. A lot of depth to the flavor and the whipped cream foam on top was delightful. We got some chocolates to accompany the experience. They are certainly very beautiful but taste wise pretty average for truffles. The server was very kind and answered all my questions to satisfaction regarding renting the space for my sister's baby shower. She showed us examples of what the tables looked like when they are reserved. They are providing all the tables, chairs, dinnerware and silverware. I am looking forward to using this space to host the party in a few days.

Yelp
I literally can't say enough good things about Mamancy Tea, if I could give it a 10 star I would. Usually I'm not much of a tea person, I don't hate it but I tend to gravitate towards coffee. My fiancé and I ( I know all my reviews say this.. my fiancé and I do a lot together, deal with it LOL) went because she loves tea and we had heard there was an amazing new shop in Beaverton. When we got to the shop the outside didn't look like much as it was in one of those strip-type malls, but once we got inside everything changed. The shop is set up beautifully with a huge variety of different types of tea and tea accessories (they even have Bubble Tea powder for all you bubble tea lovers). You could buy loose leaf tea by the bag or get a cup of tea to enjoy there or to take to go. There was also rotating baked goods that were homemade and amazing, we had the orange cinnamon scone and it went perfectly with the tea. They also make homemade chocolates that look to die for, although I can't speak for them because we didn't try them... but if they are like anything else in the shop they will be TOP NOTCH. Finally for the best part, the owner, I can't remember her name, was unbelievably knowledgable on all the products and teas she had in her store. She knew about how to prepare them, what to serve them with, their health benefits etc. and she was happy to talk about them.. you could really tell she was passionate about the product she was selling which is a huge plus for us as customers, especially as pretty novice tea drinkers. Not only is this a black-owned business that could use your support after opening during a pandemic, but the product and service/knowledge is AMAZING! You won't regret going into Mamancy Tea I promise you that. CHECK IT OUT!!!

Yelp
A friend and I are always trying to find a place that serves "high tea." We stumbled on to this restaurant in a strip mall in Beaverton! It's a simple set-up, with few tables. Tea selection was limited but adequate. But don't be deceived! The food (traditional high tea fare) was fresh and delicious! We were started off with a lovely green salad, followed by a fruit salad (perfect on a hot summer day). My favorite(s) were the scones & mini quiches. Give this place a try please! Oh, and they also sell fresh chocolates. So how could you go wrong! Nicely done Mamancy! We will be back!

Yelp
Super cute shop and yummy chocolates! I stopped in just to check it out but I'll definitely be back to try some tea. The young lady working was sweet too.

Yelp
This place looks nice from the outside but has a very strange vibe. Reminded me of some kind of pyramid scheme situation. Anyways their selection of items was not that great and the beverage was sub par. Their chocolates were not very flavorful and didn't have a high quality taste. Definitely not a place to visit again for me.

Faith J.

Yelp
They called me 5 minutes before my reservation and cancelled because they couldn't open. They had let their license expire. Then they wouldn't offer a reschedule not a refund. However, I didn't want to reschedule because my mom was in town and wouldn't be after that. They told me they needed to talk to a manager. After that, I couldn't get in contact with anyone to get my refund. I finally had to report it to my credit card company to take care of.

Yelp
I emailed the listed customer service address, hoping for a reply before I posted here, but no such luck. I gave them 4 days. I think that's fair. I visited the Hillsboro store because I saw the bubble tea sign, and I'm a big fan of boba. The employee told me that she could make a bubble tea with any of the blends on the shelf. After smelling a couple, I chose the blended lavender tea, but my drink was disgustingly sweet: the employee had put lavender syrup into it without informing me. Not cool, especially considering the efforts I made to communicate that what I wanted was something light and herbal. I was also put off by the "boba" used in the tea. The texture is quite different from any tapioca I've had, and it had a terrible mouthfeel. The employee kept telling me it was tapioca, but wouldn't show me an original container with listed ingredients. Yet she had a tub o' lychee jellies on the counter to explain, when I specifically wanted boba... so I definitely wasn't feeling heard. I asked for a replacement drink, sans boba and sweetener. I was given an iced lavender tea, with less volume in the cup than the first, so I figured that I was probably getting on this girl's nerves. Not awesome, but I understand the frustrations of minimum wage food service. She handed me my new drink, but wasn't even going to refund the price difference for a plain brewed tea. After prompting her to look at the menu, and clarifying that an iced tea counts as a brewed tea, the employee told me that the prices listed weren't current, so she couldn't give me the change I thought I was due. An arbitrary price is the perfect way to punish me for interrupting her homework, and requesting that my beverage be made drinkable, right? At an establishment charging $6 for tea, I expect a better level of professionalism and customer service. There's no need for passive aggression or arguing with a customer. I'm not just paying for a product; I'm paying for an experience. And I would not purchase this experience again! I am not concerned about the petty change, but rather the indifference to principles of honest business. With zero acknowledgment of my concerns, it is clear that Mamancy is too fafancy for customer satisfaction or retention.

Yelp
I've had two experiences in their shop. The first was a while After Covid, when I happened to notice the sign on my way back from the nearby Asian market that I was visiting. As a tea drinker always ready to try a new tea company, I entered in the hope that I could buy some small samples to brew at home. However, they offered only quite expensive, full packages with no opportunity to even taste a small brewing at the store. In hopefulness, I bought a package of their English Breakfast tea but was very disappointed with the flat, uncomplicated flavor when I tried it at home. I did not bother brewing it again. Today was my second experience in the shop. It was at noon but called a "High Tea," (which in England is actually the name of the hot, substantial evening meal taken at about 5:00 by working class folks and by children whose parents are eating at the more fashionable 7-9 dinner time) Also, the food and serving were in the style of "Afternoon Tea," which is usually taken between 3 and 5 in the afternoon. "Go figure." The meal started inauspiciously when I requested a replacement for the crusty-backed spoon that had been set at my place. The soup was delicious (although I was not given a spoon to eat it with) as was the "no brainer" generous, sliced fruit salad. The little crustless sandwiches were a generous size, o.k., a little indelicate but tasty enough. The bright-coloured macarons looked inviting but differed only slightly in unidentifiable flavors from one colour to another. I bit into a smooth, heart-shaped candy and was stung by cayenne. I am not a wimp about culinary heat, but this bite went quickly and directly into my "napkin" (a piece of coarse paper that matched the bathroom's paper hand-towels). I've already given my opinion of the tea. I had expected to devote an hour and a half to this wildly overpriced event, but at two and a half hours we still had not finished! There seemed to be lots of blueberries in the scones, possibly a good sign, but I was already late for a meeting with a friend, so I didn't take time to try them, the shortbreads or other sweets. Looking at the tables in my vicinity where other people were leaving, I saw quite a bit of food left on plates and on the serving stands, not a good sign. The single server responsible for the entire shop-full of tables seemed a little overwhelmed. I don't blame him! Would I go back. No. Would I recommend it? Not to a friend! So sad. I'd like to be able to say a lot of nice things about the business. Maybe they'll improve.

Yelp
What a treat! I wanted to try some fancy chocolates and now I return regularly to try different varieties of tea. My favorite so far is the truffle praline but an iced strawberry cream herbal tea is wonderful too. I never thought I'd give tea a serious try. Anne, the owner, is a fantastic guide in tea discovery!
google avatar

Alethia G.

Yelp
I work in the same complex as this shop and have been in there a couple of times. The tea is good and authentic but owner is very rude and the only employee who is actually sweet left because she couldn't deal with being treated so horribly. The last time I went in and said hello, the owner and an employee were there and they stared at me blankly and didn't even greet me. So I said hello again with a smile - still nothing. There's a reason this place is empty. If they were decent human beings and had any inkling of customer service they could be more successful. I'm a really nice person and NEVER give bad reviews but this is the kind of place you go when you're having a good day and they can ruin it in an instant! It's very unfortunate. Big thumbs down here :(

Yelp
We went for our anniversary and were warmly welcomed by Millie. we had the vegan gluten free high tea. i could not believe it was gluten free. the food and tea were amazing. we had a lovely 2 hours of eating, drinking tea and relaxing. I encourage you to go. if you do not have 2 hours, they have fabulous tea and chocolate.

Yelp
Lovely place! I have tried a couple of different tea flavors and both of them exceeded my expectations. The teas were delicious and piping hot, just the way I like it! I met Anne (the owner) today, a charming host. All the employees here are very courteous and helpful. The tea house is always immaculate and inviting. Their chocolates are delish! They do serve scones and sandwiches "A la carte" also. I do like that, I can just pop by for a cup of tea without having to make a reservation. This is going to be my regular haunt. So happy to have a tea house in Beaverton, close to where I live! Thank you!

Jackie M.

Yelp
Leaned about this place on a TV spot during the holidays and finally got the chance to stop by. AMAZING TEAS! Unique blends and they were all so wonderfully fresh and full of flavor/aroma. I would highly recommend stopping by to pick some up or enjoy a cup there. The chocolates were also very good. I will be back!

Yelp
My husband & I stumbled upon this place yesterday. WHAT A GEM!!! I wish I would've taken pictures of the inside because it's beautiful! I ordered a slice of the vegan chocolate cake & pumpkin chai latte. Both were wonderful. The options of tea were beyond anything I've ever experienced! Some I've never heard of but smell and look scrumptious!! The music played provided a cheerful, warm atmosphere & the chairs were so cozy. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!!!! You won't regret it.

Yelp
I stopped in a week or so ago and picked up the Kilimanjaro Kenya tea (great AM tea with breakfast) and the turmeric ginger tea (great replacement for the similar product at Trader Joe's - and much better!). Also got the Earl Grey dark chocolate which was super tasty! The owner was super nice and ready to answer any questions. Any tea or chocolate lover should stop by!

Yelp
I have been curious about this cute little tea shop. Today I had some time, so decided to stop in. I'm sorry I waited so long to give them a try! The shop itself is cute and cozy. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about the tea and drinks. I ordered the chai masala with oat milk and it was delicious! I will definitely be back. We are also looking forward to booking high tea with them soon!

Yelp
I would love to write a review on the quality or taste of their products, but unfortunately I have not been able to purchase any. I attempted to last night, but the store was completely shuttered by 5:15pm. I walked into their Hillsboro location this evening at 4:50pm to purchase chai. Two women were at the counter and the door was unlocked. When we walked in, one of them informed us that their shop was closed. I doubled checked the website before I drove in from Forest Grove to make sure the shop would still be open when we got there. The sign on their door states they are open until 5:30pm as well. My husband asked if we could just pay cash for some chai because I am all out. The girl at the counter said no. He then asked what time do they close and she said they've been closing at 4:00pm. She was not outright rude but she wasn't kind about it either. It was very awkward. I won't be back. If you plan on visiting their Hillsboro location, I suggest calling to make sure they'll be open when you get there.

Yelp
I have been looking forward to visiting this tea shop, but I was definitely disappointed. To be fair, I had high expectations of delicious tea and the ability to buy several types of loose leaf tea. First, the drink I ordered was not prepared correctly. I ordered a tea latte and what I received was undrinkable tea that was very, very sweet. The woman who made my drink said they added flavor syrups so I asked it to not be too sweet but it was still just so sweet (and missing the milk altogether). It just seems so odd to me that a tea shop would serve what could be a great tea, with pumps of sugary syrup added. Secondly, it is not a shop where you can simply purchase different types of tea in smaller amounts to discover teas you enjoy. I understand that was my expectation, not necessarily their business model, but I do enjoy being able to visit shops where I can get smaller bags of tea. If I understood the prepacked tea bag pricing correctly, the smallest bags were around $12? Really makes me miss stores like Teavana on the west side of town. I'll keep looking....

Yelp
The food was awesome and they also gave out free samples. We love the chocolate cake and the herbal tea. The shop is beautiful and has very welcome atmosphere.

Yelp
To celebrate my husband's birthday, I got him some teas and sweets. He has allergies so I selected vegan items, which at times can be hard. The owners went above and beyond to put together a beautiful gift basket. The vegan cake was delicious and such a treat! I really appreciate their customer service and highly recommend them!

Yelp
I discovered this lovely tea/chocolate shop when I was going to Sally's next door. I have been there a few times, and now there are even more products that they have inside. I had a delicious chai drink that they prepared, and a seasonal desert that their baker makes. I bought some loose leaf teas and tried a chocolate caramel that the owner Anne makes, and I've never had a caramel so delicious. The next time I went there, I tried the vegan chocolate cake. It was so good that I returned for it again, and then they started making a larger slice available :) Anne is so nice and the gentleman and young ladies that work there.
