The 33 Best Restaurants in Zurich, Switzerland | Eater

"Zurich has experienced the third wave in coffee like much of the globe and it boasts a good density of coffee roasteries, including Mame, founded by award-winning baristas Emi Fukahori and Mathieu Theis. Order any of the coffee drinks — all made with care — and treat yourself to a pain au chocolat made with milk chocolate (or chocolate-hazelnut spread), or anything else from the pastry case bursting at the seams. Both of Mame’s locations are busy on weekend mornings, with friends meeting for coffee and families dropping by on the way to the park for a few soft chocolate chip cookies." - N.A. Mansour

This coffee shop has everything you could want. Outstanding coffee selection with expertly trained baristas, a delightful selection of pastries from a local bakery, and a great ambience especially on a sunny Saturday or Sunday afternoon. They have a variety of barista championship awards, list out their current bean offerings on a flavor wheel, and consistently push for an outstanding coffee experience. I wish this could be my every day shop. Definitely visit if you can.

There’s no doubt that this coffee shop is well-loved— and for good reason! The coffee is consistently delicious. The baked goods match well with the coffee. The employees are friendly. The interior and exterior are beautiful. The surrounding area is quiet. I recently tried their watermelon espresso tonic drink (?) (something like that), and it was one of the best espresso tonics I’ve had. Judging from the name, I assumed it was a word from Swiss-German (as someone who does not speak Swiss German). Turns out, they named it mame bc it’s the word for bean in Japanese 😭 as a Japanese person, I never thought I would see a coffee shop with a Japanese word in Zurich! Really cool!

Needing an almond croissant and coffee fix, I went the distance (literally) to this google recommended cafe in Zurich. Sadly to say, I did not get the fix I wanted. The croissant was perhaps the least favourite I have had in years cos it was quite fluff and just empty carbs with lacking substance. Coffee was decent, and the saving grace would be the warm friendliness of the staff. And when I related my spending (CHF14.75 = SGD$23.50) and experience later to a local Swiss friend, I was told I might have been reaped off for the price I paid for just a usual coffee and less than satisfactorily almond croissant 🤔😅? It was indeed super expensive, though in my case.

This cozy café in Zurich made our morning splendid. The service was welcoming and friendly, equipped with pleasent smile. Coffee itself tasted amazing, I liked the design of the cups.

My man tried your coffee at the cafe and really liked it, so he decided to buy the same beans you used to make it at home. Unfortunately, the beans he received didn’t look the same at all, and the taste was completely different from what he had at the cafe. This was really disappointing. I hope you work on improving the consistency between what you serve and what you sell. For now, I’m leaving a low rating, my partner wasn’t happy with the experience at all. Thank you

This is one of my favorite specialty coffee spots in Europe. They’re highly focused on a rotating selection of top-quality beans for both filter and espresso. The baristas are passionate and take the time to walk you through the available options. On my first visit, I chose an espresso flight and tried the cold brew, followed by a pour-over flight the next time—both were fantastic experiences that fueled my love for great coffee. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Really good place for coffee. Cozy seating, nice coffee and comfortable to sit there. Staffs are helpful for bean selection. I had 3 choices drip coffee which turn out so good. Cake is good too. Credit card accepted. Not much space for seating but so comfortable and atmosphere are nice. Hope to be there again.
