Where to Get Great Pie in Montreal This Fall | Eater Montreal

"With six locations around town, local chain Mamie Clafoutis can always be counted on for a great seasonal pie. This autumn, it’s all about the apple, with a Tarte Normande (a shortcrust-based apple tart) and a cinnamon apple crumble pie." - Holly Tousignant

The Essential Montreal Croissants - Eater Montreal

"A proper French pâtisserie, the butter croissants at Mamie Clafoutis are as solid as the rest of the stacked pastry selection. The shop has six locations around the city, for maximum croissant coverage. The newest resides in the Technopôle Angus development in Rosemont." - Heather Vandenengel, JP Karwacki

Google
My go to place for granola, which is amazing. However, when I went today and wanted to pay by debit, their card machine actually forces people to give them a tip, even if you are not eating at their establishment, by deactivating the No tip button. Very dishonest. To get around this, simply press the Other amount button and leave it at 0.

Really good pastries as usually with Mamie Clafoutis but service was subpar this Tuesday. They served people who were behind us and arrived after us, and when they finally realized they should have served us instead, not a single sorry or acknowledgement. Seems like it’s normal to them.

So happy to see this kind of café/bakery close to home. It's such a cute spot for everything coffee, pastry and bread. You can have your favorite croissant on site or to take out. There are lactsose free and soy milk options for coffees and hot chocolate. The design is industrial/cozy. Very warm for winter days. Parking is available on Molson street.

Google
A great option for a bakery on the neighborhood! Delicious bread, pastries and tarts to choose from. My favorite is the chocolate chip cookie, which is really thick, buttery (less of that brown sugar caramel flavor if that’s more your style) , and excellent chocolate chunks throughout. The baguette sandwich was also really tasty, the bread was perfectly crunchy and chewy when toasted…small portion though for the price I’d say.

The absolute best chocolate cake I’ve ever had 🤤 it’s how I thought the Matilda chocolate cake would taste like iykyk . Also the pistachio croissant is to die for.

Google
Huge variety of pastries, breads and sandwiches, we tried breads and sweets, everything is delicious.

The bleach smell used for cleaning is bad. I tried once thinking it was maybe a coincidence. We went today to have breakfast. We will not do that again. The bleach smell was so strong that I left with diarrhea and a headache

Google
A unique test of many kind of backed of sweet and salty. Sometimes you might not find everything all the time, yet worth a drop from time to time :)

Yelp
I'm a very big fan of this chain of bakeries so of course this is a 5 stars. Service is friendly and fast, there is outdoor seating, the inside is quite small for seating but it is very easy to get your order to go and eat in a nearby park. Ideal for people who live in the neighbourhood.

Yelp
This seems to be a fancier place for baked good since the prices points are a bit higher. While their croissant is pretty on par with most places, I enjoyed the hazelnut scone, and also be aware the small clafoutis has a higher fruit to custard flan ratio than the large one. While both delicious, but I prefer the smaller one that has more fruit.

Yelp
This Mamie Clafoutis happens to be a short 5 minute walk from my apartment. As someone who loves this chain of bakeries that is a very dangerous thing. I have been a fan of Mamie's for a long time now and have visited their other locations in Montreal. There is everything here: hearty sandwiches, fresh croissants, delectable desserts and yummy coffee. When I come here it is on the weekend, and I find that it is quite popular. That being said this location always serves you quickly and there is always available seating. In summer there are also picnic tables outside to make the most of the weather. The prices for pastries and sandwiches can sometimes be high but it is worth it once in a while.

Yelp
Located in the Loco Angus Shops, this was one of the first venues that opened in the strip, and is a welcome addition to the neighbourhood. For those that work in this mostly industrial area, Mamie is our go to stop for either coffee and a croissant in the morning or a sandwich at lunch. The service is always friendly but the wait, especially at lunchtime, can be long. Trick is to get there at 11:30 before the rush! There is some seating indoors but I especially enjoy the outdoor space, although there's not much of a view, it's a great spot for a cold coffee and some mingling. From the menu, I always go for their salmon sandwich and I simply cannot resist their pistachio chocolate croissant. Prices are a tad high for a simple sandwich or baked good, but everything is fresh and irresistibly good, so very worth the cost.

Yelp
Fun little café filled with breads, pastries, salads and whatnots for your morning fix or lunch. They offer different specialty coffees and a variety of teas. Do try out their semi-sweet hot chocolate if you are a fun of this beverage. It's rich, creamy and not too sweet, pair it with a cookie and worry about the calories another day. It can get quite busy during lunchtime, try to go prior to noon or after 1PM. It's a popular place in the afternoon for students lounging with their laptops. This establishment also offers free wifi.

Yelp
Let's just say that everyone we visit Montreal from NYC this is our require stop to make. We have to have their pistachio croissant and everything else is just as good but you all must try their pistachio croissant!

Yelp
Hidden on Angus area, this cozy place with sweet precious. For meeting a friend. For a dessert. For a coffee on a lazy Sunday. Anytime. Lots of different things that worth trying. "Mon Dieu" is the king of the menu, but my coup de cœur is the croissant aux pistaches. I'm so happy I discovered this place close o home!

Yelp
Great patisserie with lots of service, reminds me of France! But it has nice Wi-Fi and plenty of seating (indoor and out), so you there are a few people around with laptops and you don't feel bad. Warning: gmail doesn't work on their network. (As some other reviewers said, some websites don't work. But gmail is sometimes critical...)
