The Eating Shrimp
Google
really nice place where you can order an 8 or 10 course tasting menu.
we chose the 8 course and were served:
- smoked leek dashi soup (complimentary, this was amazing, flavour bomb concentrate with such a warm and welcoming gesture tied to it)
- pastrami with bread, aioli spread and cabbage as a starter (felt that this wasn’t needed but the pastrami was one of the best I’ve tasted)
- salmon ceviche (unfortunately this dish was lost on me, it was probably the carrots and how the sauce was way too acidic and nothing to hold it down, the salmon quality was also below average…)
- leek, beetroot & saffron cream (this was amazing, the saffron cream was delightful)
- pimentos de padrón (the orange and cheddar seemed strange to me at first but somehow it works, I wished they used lemon instead of the orange for acidity as I felt the orange was too sweet)
- croquette with celery & chimichurri soup, the croquette + whatever sauce was underneath was so good one of my favourites of the menu
- main course of king oyster mushrooms with chili & salad, wonderful all together
- desserts: sour cream, apple, gochujang & honeybread, with uta pear in white chocolate and pumpkin seeds, the latter dessert was amazing :)
