Mamma Mia

For the area this is the best Italian food. And compared to the competition the prices are very reasonable. We have been to Momma Mia several times and it is now our go to Italian restaurant when we are in the area. The downside is the location… In my opinion, this is not a great part of town. And the shopping center is very tight feeling and difficult to park. Because of issues we have had in this part of town, we only drive our old car when we visit this location.

I had a great experience at Mamma Mia in Riverside. The Fettuccine Alfredo was rich and creamy, and the Spaghetti had a really fresh, homemade flavor. The Chicken Pizza had a perfect crispy crust and just the right amount of cheese and toppings. The Beef Lasagna was hearty and flavorful—definitely a standout. I finished with the Tiramisu, which was light, creamy, and absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I love this restaurant! Take your time if you are going on a weekend. We were a large group of 8 so it was slightly harder to accommodate us, but it was worth it. Even as we waited to be seated they were attentive. The waiter came as soon as we were seated and food shortly after. We ordered a pizza, lasagna, Mia's pasta, a salad and a Marsala chicken. Everything but the salad was 5 stars. The salad was good just not my flavors. If there's a con it's the outdoor smell coming from the drain and the dirty look. We were seated outside for around an hour and the smell was killing our vibe. The outside area was dirty, the trashcan was overfilled, the floors need pressure washing. Once you go inside it's totally different, very clean and romantic.

Stopped here for a late lunch. The host Travis had a great attitude and made great recommendations. The service was timely and the wait staff, attentive. The appetizers and entree were amazing. The bread pudding was excellent. Overall a great experience. I recommend for a date night or celebrating a special occasion.

First time here & definitely not my last. I have driven by for years & never stopped in to eat. Service is outstanding & so is the food. Booths are large & can accommodate up to 6 I that. Parking is kinda tight depending on timing. They do charge for use of Credit card.

Celebrating my 58th birthday with my family, we walked in to Mamma Mia’s and the ambiance was very nice. The food was excellent and service was superb! Our server Greg was great and knowledgeable about the wine, cocktails and menu items. We started with the garlic cheese bread and the Mia arugula salad which was delicious. The entrees were hearty portions and cooked to perfection. The short rib was so tender and flavorful, shrimp scampi had a good amount of colossal shrimp and Fruitti Di Mare had nice medley of seafood with slightly creamy sauce made with fresh ingredients. Not to mention the calzone was huge and bursting with flavor. Tiramisu was so good, I bought a piece to take home. Definitely the best Italian food so far in the Inland Empire, we will be coming back and telling friends and family about this little gem. 💎

I had a half antipasto salad and the meatballs appetizer. The salad was very good as wete the meatballs. The meatballs were very small though and only two for $11. That was disappointing. I also had a couple beers. Got out for $40 plus tip. Pretty pricey.

Just had a fantastic meal at Mamma Mia Riverside! The food was amazing. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a really good vibe. Service was excellent too. Highly recommend checking it out for delicious Italian food and a great ambiance!

First time being back since the remodel. The interior was upgraded and it felt much more spacious than before with a full bar and nice scenery. There were however 2 booths in the row I was in that did not have seat cushions? We got seated very fast. However, the server took about 10-15 minutes to get to my wife and I. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. For the appetizers, we decided to split the half portion of Cesar salad and got the mozzarella sticks. The Cesar salad look kinda mid with it just being lettuce, cheese, and croutons. Also, it only came with 1 small to go cup full of Cesar dressing which I thought was not a great look. Either have the dressing on the salad or in a nicer container other than a pre packaged plastic small cup with a lid on it. We had to order more dressing because there was hardly any to fully compliment the salad, luckily they brought out 2 more small to go cups pretty quickly. The Parmesan on the salad was very good and the lettuce was not dead and had good texture and taste. Overall, it was great but not amazing. The Mozzarella sticks came out right after the salad. There were 5 on the plate. It was also served with the small to go size cup of marinara sauce. The sauce was chunky and a little difficult to get on the stick without scooping it out the side of the cup. The mozzarella sticks tasted ok. They did not have a cheese pull and kinda just broke off after the bite. It didn't seem like fresh mozzarella and freshly made breading. I think they were frozen. Out came the entrees. I got the meat lover pizza and my wife got the chicken piccata. The pizza was very good. If you like cheese like I do, you will like the pizza, as it was very cheesy and when you pulled a slice up from the pan, you can't lift your arm high enough to disconnect the strands of cheese. I did not notice any bacon on the pizza, which it was advertised to have. I also wished there were more toppings. It all seemed very neatly placed to be sparsely distributed across the surface. Overall, it was still good. Another thing is the server did not offer any Parmesan or red pepper flakes, which I had to ask for in addition to some ranch. I will say the Parmesan was grated in front of me which was a nice touch. The chicken piccata was full of flavor. This place really knows how to make good pastas. I remember the last time I came I loved the pasta as well. I only had a bite of it, but it was a very good sauce and penne pasta and chicken. I would come again but stick to the pasta.

Service - Joseph, our waiter, was attentive and friendly. Travis, the manager, was very attentive and accommodating. His genuine care for his customers dining at this establishment was evident as he made his way around the restaurant to cater to needs and ensure an enjoyable dining experience. Not to mention he is pretty funny. Ambiance - Love the booths. There is low lighting and the music is pop/smooth rnb recent hits. They do have a good photographer present that will print photos up right there that can be purchased framed for $20. Food - There is vegan cheese and vegan meats available and various veggie options. However the food did lack in seasoning.

We came in here recently not knowing what to expect but we were craving some good Italian food. I'm super glad we found this place because we left super happy! Hands down the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and mushrooms is where it's at. We also had the beef lasagna and a cheese pizza which were both good too but the fettuccini was the one. Service was great too. Will return again soon!

I fully understand why this place has such great reviews, as mine will be added to that list! What a gem this is! As soon as you walk in, you're immediately greeted by a peaceful, elegant atmosphere. Server Mo was fantastic & she really took care of things from start to finish. Garlic bread appetizer was delicious (especially with that marinara for dipping). I absolutely loved my bolognese, & my mom's fettuccine was fantastic (I tried a bit from her plate & loved it so much I ordered one for myself to take home!). I also have to add that food was delivered to the table super quickly as well, which was great. Perfect timing between the appetizer & main course. Overall, such a lovely experience & I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area. Thank you Mamma Mia!

Food: the dishes here tasted exactly like how I expected it to, no more and no less. The fettuccine was cooked well, with creamy sauce, not too salty. The sunmer salad was refreshing, and the tiramisu was moist. Good place to come for quick Italian fix. My best friend asked me to be her bridesmaid at this place, so it holds a special place in my heart haha Price: salad was $11, pasta was $21 and mushroom was couple bucks extra, tiramisu was $10 Ambiance: nice and clean and modern, pretty spacious inside with lots of table and seats, good for both lunch and dinner. Ideal for hangout and catch up with friends or a casual date with partner Service: good, had no issues with ordering and getting our food in timely manner Parking: huge free parking lot associated with the plaza, where the restaurant is located, no issues with finding a spot nearby

The restaurant was clean and spacious inside. Friendly and efficient service as well-- they kept checking in on us to make sure everything was okay. To top it off the pasta was delicious and so was the complimentary birthday tiramisu dessert! There's also a photographer who goes around taking photos for purchase and they even put them in a frame; however, we opted to not buy any.

I really like the consistency of this restaurant, food continues to be fresh and tasty , great portion size. Service is fast and friendly, and they get the orders right !! Amazing !!! Ambiance is nice and clean . Bring your appetite for good food , you won't be disappointed.

This place is a hidden gem!!! It's tucked away in a little shopping center. Do not let the outside fool you, inside you will the most delicious Italian food ever. Everything we've tried has been amazing. I would recommend their pizza and meat lasagna. Their deserts are all made in house and are to die for. Travis and Patrica are our favs. They are always on their game and make sure your dinning experience is spot on and you leave happy every time. If you have any room after dinner I highly recommend getting either the tiramisu or the bread pudding. You will not be disappointed.

The food is awesome, the service is slow. The service: I had to ask several times for a drink refill. The waitress was concerned about hanging out with her friends instead of serving me, so this place gets docked a star. She sat at her friends table talking while my drink was empty. My food dish was also missing a topping, but I didn't bother bringing it up. Now to the food: The food is so good! We tried the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and the eggplant spaghetti. The fettuccine already is on the peppery side, but I love pepper so I thought it was very good. If you're not a fan of pepper, maybe don't try it. The eggplant was cooked very nicely and had lots of flavor. The marinara sauce was vegan friendly. The old fashioned was ok. It wasn't very strong for the price paid, but it tasted good. I would definitely return to this place and try more dishes. I just hope I get better service text time.

The best Italian food. Don't let the location in a mini strip mall fool you. It was one of the best pastas I've had in a while. I recommend the chicken Alfredo as well as their meat lasagna. The times we have gone out servers have been really nice! The ambiance is perfect for date night. Check them out way better than any overpriced italian place!

We came here on a Sunday night and were immediately seated. We ordered mac and cheese bites and garlic bread for appetizers. The mac and cheese bite came with ranch dressing, which accounted for most of the flavor. The garlic bread was very soft/had little structure and the garlicy buttery flavor was very mild. In contrast, the chicken piccata I ordered as my entree was very watery and almost overwhelmingly lemony. I didn't feel like the mashed potatoes added anything to the dish besides a sponge for the lemon flavor. For the only okay food, I felt that it was a little over priced.

Hidden gem! I loved the menu variety, attentive service, ambiance, and quality of food. I got the pasta pomodoro and will definitely be coming back to sample more of the menu!

This place continues to be a GEM! I've been here many times now and service has always been great as well as food! I come from the OC and this a place that i wish was in OC and i think would thrive better there. Can totally be a trendy OC. Really love their rose sauce with the penne, and dessert here is so great!

I have visited this place three times and tried various items on the menu. I will definitely return. The food and service are great, and the Agua Frescas here are amazing.

So it was a Monday evening I was craving some pasta and as I was driving by, I saw a restaurant called Mamma Mia's. I looked at the reviews and I realize that I've eaten here many times and I forgot how good that place was but today was an extra special experience Was met with a host and he name was Gabriella. She gave me the most outstanding customer service that I've had in a very long time she was she was smiling. She made me realize that I've been missing out on great customer service this whole time this experience is gonna make me come back every time, and I really hope that she's here every time I come.

OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE! Travis, the manager, was very friendly, humorous, and full of genuine love for his job, and our waiter, i believe his name was Joseph or Jacob, was super helpful, attentive, and sweet as well. I've never been in a restaurant where they make you feel so welcomed, taken care of, and valued as a customer. Food was very scrumptious as well, full of flavor and truly made with care. All people should try this restaurant out, you will not be disappointed. Restrooms kept clean as well. Gave us a complimentary dessert for being the first time, super sweet!! will be returning!

My husband and I just had an excellent lunch here. We shared the caprese appetizer, fettuccine and meatball stromboli entrees, and tiramisu and bread pudding desserts. Everything was excellent and the service was great. Definitely a good place for Italian.

Delicious new discovery! Came in on a Saturday around 6:30pm with no wait surprisingly even though it looked busy. We ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and Scampi pasta. Both very tasty, not heavy at all like a chain restaurant. The fettuccine was very creamy (I forgot to take pics!). Also ordered garlic bread as an appetizer which was ok, like Texas toast. But we also got the bread pudding for dessert and OMG it's a must try. The staff were so friendly, so attentive, even though the restaurant was popping. The ambience was also perfect, dim, can definitely be a place for date night. It's wild we have this is in Riverside- I'll definitely be back!

Ordered the beef lasagna and garlic bread. It was one of the worst meals I have ever had. The lasagna was awful, and tasted like a salt bomb. The meat was unrecognizable. It had a bad taste, I couldn't even eat it. The garlic bread was extremely overpriced, and also terrible. 4 slices of a Texas toast for over $7. What a rip off even if it had been good.

My meal was excellent from The Prosecco spritz to the garlic bread to the Eggplant Parm. My husband had the chicken piccata and said it was the best ever. Milagros was a great server and we will be back!! It's nice in here too. Not too loud.

This place pleasantly surprised me. From the outside it doesn't look like much. The strip mall it's located in feels a little tired and to some may look a little sketchy. However once inside Mamma Mia, you forget all that. The restaurant is simply beautiful inside. A clean, classy bar, nicely spaced out tables, beautiful flooring and decor. A very welcoming atmosphere. When we arrived they said it would be a 45 minute wait. We hesitated at first, but then based on how many others were choosing to wait, we decided to give it a shot. Let me tell you, it was most definitely worth the wait. First off, the staff are the best. Friendly, social, informative, and timely with refills and checking in. They were happy to make recommendations since it was our first time here. And they did not disappoint. The food here is is prepared using the best fresh ingredients, bursting with flavor, and simply amazing. Everything we had- from salad, to main entrees, to the desert were all 10/10. The bread pudding for dessert was simply the best we have ever tasted. Can't wait to go back.

This is my go-to spot for special occasions and date nights! The food is absolutely exquisite -- every dish I've had is flavorful and beautifully made, especially the lobster ravioli (my favorite!). Service is always top-tier. David is our usual server, and he's phenomenal -- so kind, attentive, and always makes us feel cared for. Highly recommend for great food and even better service!

Best chicken Alfredo ever!! Definitely recommend getting their Mia fettuccine. They have their own touches to it. Everything here is super delicious even down to the garlic bread and marinara sauce. The service was great. It does get a little packed so definitely recommend making reservations. But walk-ins are welcome.

We come every year when in town from the east coast for soccer. We love this place! Had lasagna, bolognese, Cesar salad, calamari and ice cream.

Found this hidden jewel in a strip mall on Magnolia across from Kaiser Hospital. We came early afternoon Saturday, my wife's pick. She'd been before with our daughters but I had not. Greeted and seated almost immediately and Patty came and took our drink order. She did a great job with wine selection and we bought a bottle of Cali Cab. Good full bodied Paso Robles Cabernet. Tasty. We shared a Caesar salad. If this were a packaged Caesar salad and they listed the ingredients by volume, they would list romaine, lettuce, and giant shards of Parmesan cheese. Ton of cheese! The dressing was a little sweet and I didn't notice any anchovies. I had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, which was rich and creamy with the fettuccine cooked perfect al dente. I added chicken which was a thin cut breast that went perfect in the sauce. The best part was it arrived at the table piping hot! Thank you Susie. My wife had the famed lasagna with beef sauce. Stacked in flavorful layers. She said it was rich and tasty. We also had the garlic toast and a surprise dessert. Finally, every item we ordered, we had enough to take with us and now we are enjoying it again while watching the Lakers! Food-5 Service-5 Value-5

This restaurant is more of an American home style Italian food place than authentic Italian food. Service was amazing, food was slightly above average. We ordered the following: Mac n cheese bites: 4.5/5 hard to mess us fried Mac n cheese! The cheese was rich and balanced with some jalapeños inside of the fried dough for a slight spice Garlic bread: 5/5 some of the best garlic bread I have had. It's everything you want Texas toast to taste like Chicken Parmigiana: 3.5/5 Very average dish Beef lasagna: 4/5 for being labeled beef lasagna, it lacked beef. The red sauce had good flavor but the dish was overtaken by the large amount of ricotta. One thing that would have made the fish better would be a broiled top, everything was very one textured. Overall, decent food but wouldn't go out of my way to go back.

So this review is really overdue! I found the restaurant on my delivery app. Mama Mia's just take my money please! I woke remote so I often don't have a chance to grab lunch during the day. Since the first time I ordered their Spaghetti and Meatballs I have been hooked! Their Marinara sauce is amazing and the Meatballs, let's just say I always order extra! There fried calamari and spicy deep fried green beans are super yummy as well! So much flavor in ever bite! I was worried about how food would be since I was getting delivery but the amazing quality of their food and freshness is on point! I can't wait until I get the chance to dine in!

Great service. Rose pasta is yummy. They have lunch special with different options Mon-Fri. The calzone was very cheesy but I did not like the dough it's made out of(would not try that again). I would return to try other pastas as I enjoyed the sauce flavor in the pastas! They do have a kids menu. Parking gets filled up since it's a busy shopping center.

We recently visited for the first time on a Thursday night. We were quickly seated. I noticed that the restaurant was clean and looked fairly new. We were soon greeted by a server. She was very nice. We placed our drinks order and asked for a garlic bread and meatballs appetizer. We ordered our mains and the appetizer bread and meatballs were soon delivered. The meatballs were piping hot and had lots of cheese. They were really good. I loved the chunky sauce. I told my husband I would love to go for lunch and order those with a salad. Our entrees were soon delivered. I really enjoyed the chicken Parmesan. The same chunky sauce was with this as well. It's really delicious. We also ordered the Alfredo with bacon. It was a bit smokey for me but my husband enjoyed it. We agreed we want to return and get different entrees. Many sounded good!

Don't be discouraged!! You're in the right place, despite the outside it's extremely beautiful inside with decor and nice lunch/dinner ambience that your looking for. Recommendation not to sit by the door if possible, only reason being if it's still bright outside, it's like a light flashing in your eyes. Not a deal breaker, I'll know for next time. Tyler was our gracious server, and truly top scale in providing exceptional service he was just so amazingly accommodating to us. We had our littles and it can be a challenge to eat out, being out of town and stressed out from a long day and hungry! So literally after only 5 mins I was so at ease and calm with Tyler talking care of us... could not be more grateful. Mamma Mia! Hang on to him! Moving on to the food, just wow!! Kids food came out first, another yay!! And just remarkably delicious homemade and so fresh! Our entrees and happy hour appetizers came out piping hot and again just wow! Meat balls, almost better than mine...almost lol I say that bc we come from an Italian family with deep roots. So this place hit so close to home, immediately made me feel like I was home. So A+ The pasta lasagna was delightful and perfectly cooked. If I had to nick pick anything, portions are just a bit smaller....however Since good food tastes soo good, you always want more! Pizza was so on point, and delicious!! Of course dessert! Spamoni, enough said Pistachio cake, enough said It was a pleasure dining here. Sad to even say good by! In hopes we might be in the area again we'll be stopping in for sure! Tyler thank you again for such an amazing experience, you impacted the end of our trip into such a positive vibe driving home. Delicious is an understatement!! The food was amazing and it was nice to see they cater to vegetarian/vegans as well as meat eaters. We had spring salad, summer salad, fettuccini, Stromboli and pizza with vegan pepperoni and vegan sausage. It was nice to get restaurant hospitality that is so often lacking these days, Jacob was a good server and Johnathan the handsome owner was also kind, humble and attentive. He introduced us to the tiramisu and vegan ice cream that everyone even the non vegans loved.

First time here, and would definitely come back. Food was delicious. The lasagna was amazing, would absolutely recommend. Waitress was great. She's recommended the capreese and other popular appetizers to us. We went with the capreese and it was great. Everything tasted fresh. Don't let the shopping center fool you. This place is beautiful and clean inside.

We visited Mamma Mia Restaurant and Bar in Riverside CA on July 16th to celebrate my wife's birthday. We had heard great things about it and decided to give it a try, especially since we had family visiting from out of town. When we arrived, we spoke with the host to check in and requested a table with chairs because we had a large party. The host informed us there would be a 30-minute wait, which we were fine with. However, exactly 30 minutes later, the host returned and told us that due to an event happening at the restaurant, all the table sections were now taken. The only option available was a booth, but that would require waiting an additional 25-30 minutes. This was very frustrating. If the staff knew there was an event that would limit table availability, they should have communicated that from the start. Instead, we waited outside in the heat, hungry and expecting to be seated, only to be told we had to wait even longer or settle for something we didn't ask for. We were disappointed not just by the lack of communication, but by the overall handling of the situation. This was supposed to be a special occasion, and it felt like our time and plans didn't matter. A little transparency and consideration would have gone a long way.

Made reservations for a Sunday; it was little loud to hold a conversation with the group I attended. The food was good we had pasta, pizza, wings will return again. The only issue was when paying would prefer to have had individual checks rather than one check for all. Update: We requested individual checks, waiter denied request stating management would not allow it.

This isn't the best photo but I swear this place is good. Surprised that this is hidden in Riverside. Probably the best ravioli I've had in a while. I tried the sausage calzone and wasn't a fan, only because I'm not a calzone person. My sister recommends it for those of you who are. Also tried their mac & cheese bites, absolutely delicious. Great app to share with the table. We came around 1 P.M. on a. Sunday. The place was mildly busy. We were seated immediately. The tables and floors are clean. They have sports on muted TVs near the bar and music playing in the other section of the restaurant. Our server was attentive and even helped recommend dishes to my brother.

I absolutely love this restaurant, it has to be the best italian restaurant in Riverside, hands down! I highly recommend getting the spinach and ricotta pizza (you will NOT regret it, I promise), their bread pudding (to DIE for), and their eggplant parm! To be honest... you could get anything from here and it would be absolutely amazing. Each time I've gone here (a total of two times so far) I have been absolutely blown away by the customer service and the food. Don't let the exterior scare you away! Inside is this wonderful place packed with the most delicious food you'll EVER have!

Our New Favorite Italian Spot! Even though this Italian gem has been around for a while, we only discovered it this year--and now it's officially our family's favorite place for Italian food! Every time we go, we're blown away by how fresh and flavorful everything is. The salmon is absolutely amazing--perfectly cooked, tender, and seasoned just right. And the caprese salad? So fresh and delicious, with ripe tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant basil. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service is always friendly. We're so glad we finally tried it--this spot has quickly become our go-to for a great door dash as well. Highly recommend!

We've wanted to try out this restaurant for a while and finally got around to doing so. Parking was a bit of a challenge-spaces are very narrow and busy area. There were people waiting to be seated however, when we checked in wait was only 30 minutes. We sat at the bar for a drink while waiting. Bar service was exceptional. Very accommodating & pleasant. Once seated, we tried the Caprese. This was very tasty and refreshing. This appetizer didn't come with bread but there was an option to order. Our dinner order consisted of the Bolognese & Chicken Marsala and a side of garlic bread. Bolognese was delicious! Chicken Marsala lacked the bold Marsala taste but was still tasty. This meal comes with mashed potatoes however, you can request pasta instead. We ordered a side of garlic bread which was more like bread sticks. Definitely lacked any flavor of garlic. Service was great! Restaurant is not very big but offers enough seating that you don't feel squeezed in. Despite some of the food lacking flavors-it was still an enjoyable experience.

I'm Italian and as a rule I don't eat at Italian restaurants.. That being said , Mamma Mia's is the exception! Caprice Salad is perfect with a beautiful presentation. I had Pasta Rustica. It was in a great red sauce with sausage (plentiful I might add) .with just a little kick from the sausage. Had the green beans for an appetizer. They were crisp and tasty. Their garlic bread , yummy. If you are looking for a place with good Italian food , warm and friendly atmosphere at the right prices , look no further! Mamma Mia's is the place!

We were greeted cheerfully right as we walked in, which set the tone for the rest of the meal. Incredible food, very fast and attentive service. They gave my cousin a free dessert as a graduation gift. The drinks, the food. It was all amazing. Have no idea when I will be in this part of the state again, but I would definitely come back.

First time at Mamma Mia tonight for Mother's Day dinner. Excellent decision. Gotta pat myself on the back for that one, JK. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Kids both ordered pizzas. A little on the greasy side but was still very good. Wife ordered lasagna and it was delicious! Ravioli was great too. The sauce was rich and creamy. The pasta was perfectly cooked. From the parking lot, I was a bit concerned. Just you typical strip mall with many food options. Inside, however, much nicer than you'd expect. It was clean and well laid out. The staff was fantastic. Everyone that helped was friendly and happy, quick and professional. Will definitely be eating here again!

Hands down the BEST Italian food I have ever had. Italian food is my favorite type of food and Momma Mia does it right. Not only is the food high quality but the owner and staff are best in the industry. I held off on writing this review until I came a second time. It is not a fluke and I cannot gate keep this amazing place. When Mark is at the bar do not think twice, his mixed drinks and Guinness pour is best in class. The owners are very hands on and the entire staff is top notch. I drive 30 minutes just to have the food here. Most importantly they appreciate your business and strive to give you a great experience.
