The Best Places to Eat and Drink in Walnut Creek | Eater SF

"It’s perhaps not surprising that the namesake manakish flatbreads are the draw at this Walnut Creek restaurant, which flaunts different versions that highlight the pillowy bread. The manakish range from ones with more traditional Mediterranean ingredients, like za’atar and whipped kefir, to a more pizza-appropriate pepperoni version, so go where your heart leads if you’re looking to try the flatbread. If you’re looking for some healthy greens, try one of Manakish’s kebabs over salad — also available in wrap or plate — or try the fattoush salad, which comes with a mix of vegetables, za’atar-tossed pita chips and sumac dressing." - Dianne de Guzman

Google
I was really surprised by how big the portions are here for the bowls. The pizzas are really delicious and the fresh juice is so good. I would recommend coming here with a group of friends so you can try many items from the menu and share.

Google
The food is delicious but the service was not all that great. I ordered a wrap that took approximately 15 minutes for me to get and I was the only person in the restaurant. Very quiet atmosphere and seems to be family owned. Seating on inside and outside patio area. Cool drink options from the refrigerator. Jalapeno hummus is 🔥 and the lamb gyro is very good. Def would eat here again.

Absolutely amazing experience at Manakish Oven & Grill! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a perfect meal. The food was exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. On top of that, the service was outstanding! The owner & staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. A TRUE family experience! You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in what they do. If you’re looking for authentic, high-quality Middle Eastern food with top-notch service, Manakish Oven & Grill is the place to go. Highly recommend it in Walnut Creek, CA and will definitely be coming!

Google
The food was absolutely delicious! First time trying meat on flat bread like that and it was super yummy. Chicken on fries was also very tasty and tender but the ratio of fries over chicken was higher and we ended up not finishing them. Everything else was top notch.

So glad my wife and I made the stop, the manaeesh were very good! We also tried their cappuccinos and I recommend that as well.

Yelp
Great food, great vibes, great service. I visited Manakish with my friend on a sunny Saturday afternoon, and the experience made the day even brighter. For the food, I ordered a kefta kebab plate and a peach mango soda. The plate was so HUGE, I was able to take my leftovers home for a second full meal. It was delicious while I was eating there, and was still just as good microwaved at home, with the pita reheated in the air fryer. The kefta kebab was juicy and packed with vibrant herbs that really dance on your tongue, and the garlic sauce! I swear I'm not being dramatic when I say I live for that sauce. Every part of that plate complemented the other perfectly. My friend ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and fries. Also super delicious. I had to take a few bites, myself The fries were crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside, and had just the right amount of spice. I also gotta talk about the soda. It has that zing! It tasted just like a peach ring, but better. It my new favorite thing. 10/10 will definitely be coming back

Yelp
Not good. Deeply disappointed. Like many who often drives by this place, we were attracted by this nice looking restaurant with its vibrant blue & yellow color, nice outdoor seating with sun-shading umbrellas. We were so excited to try this place finally and were deeply disappointed Just all around not good. :( * Tri Tip Sharma Bowl - tri tip is stringy, dry, flavorless yet salty, layered over a bed of half and half rice and salad. The hummus is also not very good. Sauce is not good. I also especially disliked the julien-sliced jar-pickles that they sprinkled on top... they tasted like hamburger pickets and does not mix well with the overall flavor of the dish. * Cauliflower and Eggplant Bowl - Both the cauliflower and eggplant lacks flavor. Sauce is not good and essentially flavorless... then splattered with plain yogurt on top. For the rest of the bowl, rinse and repeat the same comment above. The pickles on top are yuck. * Lentil soup - I'm a soup lover and especially excited to try their soup -- as some Mediterranean restaurants make their lentil soups soooo good -- but not this one. By the time I got to the soup, I already know this is going to be bad.. and yup, it's also bad. The soup has a hint of lentil and salt taste to it, then I can taste the "burnt" flavor. Unless it's intentional, looks like they saved the soup in time. Overall the soup - like everything else - lacks flavor and simply just not good . :( * Fresh Strawberry drink - it's ok to good. Though I think it's too sweet; but that could just be me. Now to the service part - I was surprised to find that this is a "order from the counter" style restaurant (think McD). Upon placing our order and checking out with our credit card, we were surprised to find a 15-18-20% tip request at the kiosk for a counter style restaurant where you have to bus your own table! (Guess I shouldn't be surprised as even cupcakes stores now ask for tips!) Anyway... then we proceeded to find ourselves a table sitting outside. The tables were not filthy per se - but as I said before - you bus your own table here so the tables are not wiped down... crumbs and leftover ketchup packets were on the tables from the previous diners... :/ We proceeded to wipe down our own table and waited for our food... and the cashier actually brought the trays out to us. A bonus point for this. The dishes looked decently appetizing but upon tasting - everything was just - simply - not - good. Oh, and everything was cold or at room temperature... didn't like that... especially after paying over $50, I did not expect to get a luke-warm meal that appears to be prepared assembly-line style. :( I'm not even sure what kind of suggestions to make to Manakish... as there's some lacking of culinary skills here. It wasn't just one thing that was not good... everything was very underwhelming: flavorless, meat was stringy, soup is slightly burnt, hummus needs more garlic, why the cheap julien-sliced pickles, etc etc ... maybe I ordered the wrong items as I saw other patrons seem to be really enjoying their pizzas. Oh well.

Yelp
You know what they say, you never know until you try. I tried and certainly won't return. Ordered the cauliflower & eggplant bowl. Cauliflower was barely cooked, it was too raw and crunchy. Very little eggplant and what was there is was nothing but mush. The harissa had decent flavor. The tomato and cucumber salad left standing juice/water in the bottom of the bowl (too much it left everything in the bowl soaking). The tomato and cucumber salad had zero flavor. The hummus was delicious and creamy. Not too strong of any flavor in any direction just overall balanced. The turnips and pickles were delicious. Tabouleh was light and zingy. Fries are steakhouse cut and basic. Inside has lots of tables, as does the patio area. Only Togo style containers and utensils for dine-in. Staff was genuine. Was bummed that it's not good enough to justify another try.

Yelp
So incredibly excited to have access to traditional Palestinian bread and breakfast. The service staff was extremely friendly and shared suggestions on their most ordered items. The restaurant itself has both indoor and outdoor patio seating- it's shaded which is great for California weather. The food itself was made to order and hit every flavor expectation we had. We look forward to being regulars!

Yelp
Dinner at Manakish Oven and Grill was a delightful affair with their chicken kebab plate. The dish was a culinary triumph--flavorful, well-seasoned, and served in portions so large I couldn't finish it. The service model is straightforward and efficient: order at the counter, find a seat, and the friendly staff will bring the food to your table. This minimal approach contributes to the relaxed atmosphere of the place. While the absence of alcoholic beverages was slightly disappointing, it's a minor point when weighed against the quality of the meal. The restaurant's focus on delivering hearty and delicious food is evident, and it's a strategy that works. I'm already planning my next visit to explore more of their menu. For those who value great food and a no-fuss dining experience, Manakish Oven and Grill is a must-try.

Yelp
Pretty authentic greek fast food? I was craving cava and a light lunch so I guess this was a good alternative. The portions are pretty big for the bowl - I ate it for lunch and dinner. The prices were also slightly expensive in my opinion, not what I was expecting from the store but nothing crazy either. When I had the leftovers for the second meal(dinner) it was reAlly sour. Pickled vegetables were sour which I understand but the hummus was also quite sour for my taste. Service was really nice but a tad slow on serving.

Yelp
Enjoyed a delicious iftar here last week! The strawberry juice was our favorite item. The sausage pizza (with halal pepperoni!) was good, I think the halal pepperoni was the most exciting thing about it. Fattoush was okay, lamb kebabs were also okay. Kinda wish I got the kefta instead. I heard online about their knafeh with pistachio ice cream but didn't see that on the menu!! The strawberry juice was good. They have a good amount of seating, parking could be a little better. Service was fine. It's a casual ambiance but pretty pricey. Worth going at least once!

Yelp
If you love Mediterranean food, Manakish got you!! Definitely the best place for Manakish in Walnut Creek. Don't get me started with the Zaatar & Whipped Kefir Manakish! I just love the taste of Zaatar, it's so exotic and delicious. All the food we ordered was so good, the Beef Shawarma Fries was so good! Must order! The Lamb Kebab Wrap was so flavorful with a hint of spiciness; while the Kefta Kebab Plate was everything you need in a meal, with creaminess from the hummus, crunchy salad, and the meat was so tender and yummy. Of course, I had to order the Lamb Kebab Salad. It was huge and beautifully made, so refreshing and delish. :) Oh, don't forget desserts, we decided to try the Cheese Kanafeh, it was so flaky, cheesy, savory, and sweet -- all at the same time.

Yelp
I was looking forward to trying the food here so much after reading a few posts about it on a neighborhood page. I am so sad to say it was a huge disappointment. We ordered tri tip salad bowl, chicken wrap, and falafels. The beef had good flavor but arrived cold, over the cold salad. The fat was congealed, and gelatinous, making the dish unappetizing. The chicken wrap tasted OK. Nothing was memorable. The falafel also had very good flavor and seasonings, but arrived overcooked and dried...almost like the texture of hay. The service was nonexistent also. There were probably 2-3 other parties of two people each, so a total of less than 10 customers for lunch. It wasn't busy. We ordered two entrees and an app to share. The cashier asked us what we wanted in each entree, whether we were in with pickles in the wrap, etc. everything was asked and answered...then she forgot to put the order in for one of the entrees, and we waited over 30 minutes after our order came for them to make the second entree. Our long anticipated lunch date was ruined with mediocre food and poor service. I am so disappointed, mainly because I was looking forward to coming here so much.

Yelp
Halal Manakish Flatbread Food 4 out of 5 Service 4 out of 5 Ambience 3 out of 5 We ordered the following -Zatar & Whipped Kefir flatbread -Tri-tip Shawarma Flatbread -Rose lemonade -Mint lemonade Wish they would have a bit get 1/2 off, one flatbread is not sufficient for one person. One of our favorite spot to visit when coming to WC. The restaurant is at corner of Geary and Main. Parking is limited, corner location Staff is friendly and the food comes out hot. The Jalepeno Cilantro Humnus is delicious. Give it a try when you're out in WC.

Yelp
I think this place is pretty authentic and I loved the baba ganoush! I think the bowl was good but everything was a little bit more on the sour side and I was a littler overwhelmed after a couple bites. it's a great bang for your buck because the portions are massive. the guy at the counter was super nice!
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered shawarma plate . came with large quantity of beef salad and rice . ordered separately pita bread . friendly staff .

Yelp
Blown away is an understatement! Came into Manakish for a post work meal, and was absolutely blown away by the quality of food, ambiance of the restaurant, and extremely friendly customer service. I ordered the falafel, chicken kabob plate and the classic pepperoni flatbread, needless to say everything was delicious. The hummus had that zing of flavor to it that I love, the flame grilled chicken and vegetables has an amazing char taste, and the falafel was so soft and flavorful on the inside. The staff at the counter were very welcoming and friendly, greeting me with smiles and enthusiastic voices, also extremely helpful when it came to deciding what I wanted to eat. I definitely recommend stopping by for an unforgettable meal. Make sure you dine in, because this was an experience to come back to.

Yelp
I love this restaurant! Their signature manakish is so superior to pizza to me because of the soft pita bread and delicious Mediterranean flavors. We ordered individually but everything was big portions and definitely enough to share. I want to come back and try every kind of manakish because the chicken and cheese flavor sold me. The lamb kebab and chicken shawarma were really good too, and the tomato and cucumber side pairs well. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the hummus because it's quite tangy and more sour compared to others I've had before. Super fast service and nice interior, but not too much parking space in the small lot so be prepared.

Yelp
Food was good. It was a quick bite on my way home, i decided to stop and get some food. Service was good and its a small home-y place.

Yelp
Ordered takeout a few times, the food was ready as promised. Very good food taste fresh and well seasoned and nice portions. Definitely will be back, give it a try you'll love it too. Be Bless

Yelp
Very average food. Over hyped for no reason. The shawarma bowl was very bland. Beef had a VERY overpowering smell of meat.
google avatar

Meighan N.

Yelp
Ordered lunch to-go. I was rally underwhelmed by the shawarma fries. The fries itself were so cold, like straight out of the refrigerator, and the entire dish lacked any salt. There are other locally-owned Mediterranean spots to choose from over Manakish, unfortunately. On the bright side, service was speedy and friendly. Maybe that's why they forgot to salt their food.

Yelp
I love Manakish. It's fabulous. The food is awesome every time I eat here. They remember me ... I'm only here a few times a month at most. I tend to get chicken schwarma with 1/2 and half rice & salad. I also love their cauliflower eggplant one. Their flatbread with cauliflower & eggplant is spectacular as well. Hummus perfectly balanced. Just everything .....PERFECTION.

Thomas B.

Yelp
The food was excellent, we had the Lamb Wrap and the Chicken Shawarma with fries. Both were prepared fresh delivered hot to our table. Portions are sizeable, we both brought home 1/2 of our meal. Ambience is a bit in the diner side and can be loud at times. Would not be a romantic dinner out evening. Not sure Why a check appears on ambiance as a positive.

Yelp
Nabila Salem, the owner of Manakish in Walnut Creek, and I have been discussing having lunch or brunch for years. Today, we finally made it happen. I was so excited to sit down and learn more about Middle Eastern cuisine and enjoy some mouth-watering food. What an amazing person she is! We had a fantastic brunch, and I can't wait until our next date! The menu at Manakish is a celebration of Middle Eastern cuisine at its finest, boasting a diverse selection of dishes that cater to every palate. For starters, the falafel is a must-try, with its crispy exterior giving way to a melt-in-your-mouth center bursting with flavor. Paired with creamy hummus and freshly baked pita bread, it's a match made in culinary heaven. No Middle Eastern feast would be complete without the iconic shawarma, and Manakish certainly delivers. Tender, succulent chicken is expertly seasoned and slow-roasted to perfection, resulting in a dish that is nothing short of sensational. Served alongside fragrant tabbouleh and aromatic zaatar, each bite is a symphony of flavors that dance on the taste buds. For those seeking a taste of authenticity, the manakish offers a delightful glimpse into Levantine cuisine. Freshly baked flatbread is adorned with a variety of toppings, from savory zaatar to indulgent cheese, creating a dish that is as comforting as it is delicious. The crowning jewel of Manakish's menu is the kanafeh - a heavenly dessert that makes your tastebuds dance with its delicate layers of shredded phyllo dough, gooey cheese, and sweet syrup. Each bite is a revelation, a perfect balance of textures and flavors that leaves you craving more. Manakish prides itself on its commitment to quality and authenticity. Each dish is crafted with care using the freshest ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible. The result is a culinary experience that not only delights the taste buds but also nourishes the soul. They're so committed to freshness that the restaurant has no freezer. I've included photos of the food, interior, and exterior. They're on the corner of North Main and Geary. Manakish also provides catering services!

Yelp
Below average shawarma not satisfying. The bread they use for the wrap wasn't even properly Wouldn't recommend.

Yelp
I always order manakish and I absolutely love it. I've had chicken Shawarma and zatar manakish, but I love zatar the most.

Yelp
First bite of the cheese and olive flatbread was heaven ! I easily could've ate the whole four slices to myself . We also ordered the chicken shawarma fries and chicken kabob plate. The fries had a Cajun kick to it in my option but I enjoyed them nonetheless . The chicken kabob plate was well seasoned and juicy. The rice was white, but sticky and still had flavor. The portions were a good size. The parking lot is tricky and a bit small . We dined in on a Monday evening and there weren't any lines which made parking &ordering an easy task. I will definitely be back to try different flatbreads . I am currently stuffed as I write this review.
google avatar

Shani S.

Yelp
Finally tried Manakish. I ordered the shawarma fries and the chicken shawarma bowl. The order arrived within approximately 20 minutes. But unfortunately, the cheese on the shawarma fries had coagulated, making the dish hard to enjoy. The shawarma had good flavor but the chicken was a little dry. Guessing it was probably chicken breast. I've heard lots of good things about this restaurant, so it makes me wonder if this dish is better when freshly made and enjoyed at the restaurant. Their dishes are definitely not "DoorDash friendly".

Yelp
We came here last Sunday night and we really enjoyed the food and service. The ambiance of the restaurant is amazing. It has such a chill and relaxed vibe. You just have to love the decorations on both the inside and outside. The lights add such a warm feeling to this restaurant's atmosphere. Our order: One chicken shawarma wrap and one beef shawarma wrap. One order of kanafeh One order of baklava Their house made fresh squeezed lemonade drink. We really enjoyed our food here. It was amazing just like the other times we have came here. My chicken shawarma was and still is the BEST shawarma wrap I have ever tried. He really enjoyed his too. He ordered his spicy and said that it had a nice heat to it. I ordered mine mild and I really liked the taste of it. The baklava was amazing as well. I have tried it once before at another restaurant and it was not that good but we ordered it here and it was sooo good. The kanafeh was the only small disappointment about this particular experience. It was burnt and dry on the bottom which made it kind of hard to enjoy. Service: The staff here is always nice and friendly. The guy working Sunday night was helpful and in such a great mood. Amazing customer service Overall, Manakish oven and grill will definitely get 5 stars from me. I always look forward to coming here whenever we are in Walnut Creek. I will always recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like to try Mediterranean food.

Yelp
The best mediterranean food in Walnut Creek, California. The meat so tender and delicious the bread so fresh all the appetizer and the dessert are so good.

Yelp
Was in town to celebrate a birthday. We needed vegan options. The food was great. Ambiance was casual. Outdoor seating available. The rose water lemonade was sooooo good!!! We will be back soon.

Yelp
First timer: I went to Manakish for the first time today and I was blown away. When we got there it was super busy and took a little to order. A while after it seemed as they had forgotten about our order so they gave us free Baklava which were delicious and made everything okay. We ordered the chicken kabab wrap and it was DELICIOUS. Super fresh and juicy. We too ordered the Chicken Shawarma fries and they were the besttttt! The chicken was perfectly cocked, the fries - so crispy, and the sauce was the best! It was all so good, the people and ambiance was great and I am defiantly going back! 10/10

Yelp
After hearing rave reviews I really wanted to try Manakish. But sadly it was a disappointment. I fell in love with Falaffal stands on a trip to Paris where they'd sell chicken wraps out of a window. They were super juicy, warm tasty and delicious. These at Manakish were cold, dry and very meh. This was nothing like my memories of Paris, so bummed.

Yelp
Delicious food! So fresh and flavorful! Super friendly staff butttt... they kept giving me the wrong order but they got it right eventually. Outdoor seating is available and limited indoor seating.

Yelp
Epic food. Chicken shawarma bowl and their tritip bowl, recommend. Want to try their flatbreads next.

Jeff S.

Yelp
We ordered chicken shawarma and beef shawarma wrap. Too bad the flavor was bland also the fries were not seasoned well. Unfortunately it was not a good flavor profile for us. Also, The menu pricing is conflicting. Chicken shawarma wrap is 11.99 on one part of the menu and 13.49 on another part of the menu. When we asked about the discrepancy, they said the lower price was an old menu. Of course they charged us the higher price. We won't be going back.

Yelp
I crave this place in a slightly obsessively way. Everytime my+1 or a friend wants to go eat somewhere, I always suggest manakish. Love their chicken schwarma pizza. It's everything in a schwarma wrap but laid out in perfectly soft pita bread. I seriously inhaled half of it by myself while driving back home with the box tempting me on the passenger side. Their plates are generous and super filling with a side of pita bread. Their knafeh is the star dessert imo. Crispy phyllo dough that looks like thin noodles is topped over a slightly sweetened cheese filling. You pour this rose and cardamom sweet syrup over it and then prepare to dig in. It's the perfect ending to a great meal. I have yet to try their fries and other pizza/ plate offerings because I'm addicted to their chicken schwarma right now.

Yelp
Manakish Oven & Grill is located on the corner of Geary & North Main-- super small parking lot that's easy to miss, but you'll see their royal blue signage right away. The folks who run this place are so nice and clearly put a lot of care into the dishes here. ZAATAR & CHEESE: Their manakish is so good! The cheese is so gooey, the tangy zaatar just melts right into the pita. My first time trying something like this, a much zestier, more aromatic flatbread-pizza! FRESH LEMONADE: It does taste floral LOL. Worth the hype. Hummus and other spreads, along with Mediterranean desserts, available at the counter for purchase. We tried both their hummus and baba ghanoush-- so fresh, you can taste so many more complex smoky, umami notes that store-bought can't capture. Would recommend~

Yelp
I love this place so much! Third order and it continues to get better and better. We sampled a chicken kebob plate, a chicken schwarma wrap, a beef schwarma wrap, a side of fries and a cauliflower/eggplant bowl. - Chicken kebob comes with hummus, pita, pickled veggies and rice. The chicken was so delicious and juicy, perfectly cooked. - Beef wrap was great, on the larger size with some veggies and tons of meet, rolled in a very fresh lavash. - French fries were steak cut with a house seasoning that was delicious, they stayed crisp in the packaging pretty well. - Cauliflower bowl was huge and very satisfying. - Packaging was mostly high quality paper based, which was nice to not have a lot of plastic waste.

Yelp
Very impressed. My wife and I were blown away by the taste and seasoning of everything. We will cater this for our next birthday party.

Yelp
We ordered to go, I got there on time to get the food nice and warm. The wraps were fantastic, we got four different wraps and a Zaatar mannakish ( pictured ). As good as we got back in Lebanon. We're definitely going back soon.. Thank God for the parking lot, easy in easy out.

J T.

Yelp
The manakish are delicious and flavorful! Unfortunately the service here is hit or miss, but I believe that's just due to hiring new employees and being understaffed. They are all friendly, if a little overwhelmed. The restaurant itself is small but not cramped, and the outside seating has foliage and plenty of shade. Neither here nor there but their website and packaging design are great too! I'm really rooting for this place!
google avatar

Cherise N.

Yelp
Yes, the food matched the hype. Yes, you can choose anything in the menu and not go wrong. Yes, you need to wash it down with their rose infused lemonade. Yes, service is great. Yes, I've been here more than once. Yes, you should get the hummus or babaganosh and take it home with some pita. Yes, I understand you're reading this as you drive there now (be safe!)
google avatar

Swetha K.

Yelp
Authentic and flavorful food! Highly recommend Manakish Oven & Grill! I grew up in Dubai and always looking for food from the region that tastes authentically like home. I'm so glad I drove up here because the food was fantastic! We started off with the Hummus with Pita. It's a cold dip with the hot bread; a good choice while we waited for the rest of the food. You can pick any 4 cold dips for $28, which is a good deal! We're vegetarian and so we got the falafel wrap, which is the best I've had in a while! Loved it! The Zaatar cheese manakish with Kalamata olives was so ooey-gooey-delicious! And to wrap it all up, the Pistachio Burma is heavenly!!! The service was quick. There's seating indoor and outdoor, whichever works for the weather! It's not a very fancy place, so you can feel at home and enjoy the meal!
google avatar

Dipali S.

Yelp
First off, this wrap was HUGE, I could only eat half. So i definitely think their pricing is worth it, don't let it deter you! It was pretty cold outside otherwise we would've sat on the patio since it's so cute, but the inside was cozy as well! Next time I'll be trying one of their pizzas for sure!

Yelp
This is an amazing Mediterranean food place! Lots of vegan options, great food, huge portions, and amazing customer service. I ordered the falafel bowl and cauliflower eggplant flatbread, and both were simply delicious. For the falafel bowl, it simply had the best falafel I've ever had. As for the flatbread, the bread itself and the veggies were hella tasty. 1. It's easy to sub things here to make menu items vegan-- not a hassle! 2. The food that I've had here is great 3. Portion sizes are MASSIVE. It's like 2x a falafel bowl you get anywhere else, and I could have sworn my bowl had like 10 falafels in it. 4. Customer service is VERY good. I was told it would take 15-20 minutes for my order to be ready, about 10~ minutes in the man at the counter came by and gave us free snacks since he felt we waited long. After that, he came by to give me my falafel bowl and told us that they messed up our order for the flatbread. So he apologized and said that they'd be on it ASAP. After that, he brought and gave us two flatbreads (the new one and the older one where they messed up the order). The store is also very clean with a tidy ambiance! I'd highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Delicious! I tried this place when I had an hour between my kid's soccer games, and it was so good! I ordered a spicy falafel wrap. The wrap was perfect and packed with so much flavor and freshness, I am still thinking about it the next day! I am vegan, and it was easy to find options. Now I have to go back to try something else. The woman at the counter was super friendly and helpful. I got my order to go but the place is super nice, when the weather is good there is also lots of outdoor seating. Go try this place!

Yelp
This spot is soooooooo good! So good I forgot to take pics of everything because I was stuffing it down. I tried a little bit of everything and zero complaints. My fav hands down was probably the zataar manakesh & the falafel wrap. Oh, and the hummus was probably some of the best hummus I ever had. If you're in the area, don't walk.... Run! It's delicious.

Yelp
Manakish is a great place to grab a mana'ish with friends and family, whether that's for breakfast traditional arab style or an afternoon meal. They have lots of options from bowls, to wraps to actual mana'ish. The food is all very fresh and tasty. While the location is a bit pricy, it's reasonable for the Walnut Creek area. We try to order online and pickup when we order to avoid a wait and are always happy with our choices!

Yelp
DO NOT ORDER THROUGH YELP. Every item is like 3-4bucks more expensive for no reason. Order directly through the Manakish website! Oh and the food is pretty good.

Yelp
Everything was cooked very well. The bread is very good, fluffy, and flavorful. The chicken kabob was delicious, juicy, and veggies had a great char. I was disappointed in the rice. It was just white rice cooked well but it's just white rice. I guess I'm just used to rice pilaf with my Mediterranean food. The garlic sauce was good but an extremely small portion in relation to the large portions of everything else with the plate. I love garlic sauce and just wish the portion was enough for the plate. I also wish there were side options to the plate. Cucumber salad is definitely traditional and lots of people love it but if you don't like cucumbers like myself there is no other option. So it's just feels like a waste of money. I ordered the jalapeño hummus on another reviewer's recommendation. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I was expecting big jalapeño flavor. It was lacking. I was just as happy with the regular hummus that came with the plate. Don't get me wrong it was good but just didn't taste anything like jalapeño. The restaurant is styled very nicely however there's random boxes stored around the lobby that create a messy and unorganized appearance to an otherwise very aesthetically pleasing place. The outdoor patio has good shade and most patrons seem to be drawn out there maybe to the clutter in the inside. All in all, I would come back. I would like to try one of their Mediterranean pizzas... I can't remember the name of them. They look good and it's a unique twist that's fun and exciting. I'll need to find my perfect order but I think it's worth trying to figure that out here.

Yelp
Great Mediterranean/Middle Eastern find in Walnut Creek! I've had both the baked falafel flatbread and the falafel bowl. Both were tasty but the bowl was my fave! The falafel was perfectly crispy - not dry or over cooked at all. They don't skimp on the hummus, which is quite filling. Definitely recommend the bowl to anyone who wants a filling meal. I'll have to pay them a visit sometime, as both meals were from work reps and I live pretty close. Since I moved here in 2020, I wondered if Manakish was good as I've driven by many times. Now I have my answer and look forward to other items in the future. I have my eye on the cheese and olive flatbread, veggie supreme flatbread, falafel wrap, and their desserts (especially the cheese kanafeh), and their blueberry lemonade!
