Some of the best cocktails and mocktails in Philly at a reasonable price point! Happy hour Wednesday - Friday 5pm-7pm with signature $10 cocktails. Menu changes pretty seasonally which is awesome. Staff really knows what they are doing and it’s a great intimate spot. Also all local alcohol which is so cool!

Google
Excellent! Well made cocktails at a reasonable price. Plenty of options for different tastes but everything was made thoughtfully and expertly. Glad we stopped in!

Google
This place is super cute and quaint! Their espresso martini was incredible and they had the aquarium channel on, huge fan. Logan and Alec were super nice. Highly recommend!

Joshua Stolarski

Google
Amazing cocktails and atmosphere. Logan is a great bartender and made for some great conversation for two kids from the suburbs.

Google
Manatawny is an intimate establishment, accommodating approximately 50 or so ppl. They serve locally made spirits (My favorite is the Barrel-aged Gin) The staff possesses an expert knowledge of each of their offerings, They skillfully prepare exceptional cocktails. Indeed, their proficiency extends beyond basic bartending to the art of mixology. While a selection of six beers is available, the focus of this venue is decidedly on fine spirits. Consequently, the clientele tends to be discerning, fostering conversations of a more elevated nature."

Google
Awesome cocktail experience. With tons of options from their craft distillery, Manatawny's liquors were definitely a highlight. Good service and fair prices made it an even more enjoyable Sunday evening. Would certainly return next time I'm in the area.

Google
Great vibe and love a good happy hour. When my partner had the old fashioned, he just said “damn.” (in the best way!)

Google
The Celestial Blues is the best cocktail I had in a long time. It’s delicious. I can only recommend it. Gin, Blueberry, Basil and Lime - a little smoky, sweet but not too sweet. Super flavorful.

Yelp
Bartender in Pussyunk was totally cool and their gin is legit. Gonna try the one on Frankford next, great place!

Yelp
Came here for a girls-night-out/catch up with a good friend, since we wanted to "treat ourselves" to fancy, upscale, creative cocktails (rather than our usual dive bar City wide) - and this place did NOT disappoint. I got the gold dust woman (sage gin - pretty yummy, but not too strong. Simple and elegant.) and the Bela Lugosi's Dead (AMAZING! Gin, frothed egg white, and FALL SPICE!!). My friend got the Negroni, which was impeccably strong, if you're into that sort of thing (wasn't really for us). The bartenders were friendly & fun, and after 930pm the bar cleared out enough that we finally got a seat. Be warned- it's expensive at 12$/cocktail, but the ingredients and care put into their creations make it worth it.

Yelp
A wholesome place full of excellent products, friendly and knowledgable staff, and kickass weekend '80s playlists (that are only missing '80s Celine Dion). What else can I say about this place, really? It turns out, a lot. Came in for a flight originally, because I'd had their small batch #18 at Time a few times, and then realized they had a tasting room here in the 215. The flight is four half ounce pours of whatever their flagships are at the time. At the time of this review, it was their white whiskey, their four grain, their four grain select, and then an apple and honey whiskey. The white whiskey was surprisingly smooth. I was expecting "neutral grain spirit straight from the still with a smack of methanol" and instead got something that didn't taste too different from grappa. Neat. The four grain and four grain selects were excellent. The former being more peppery on the tongue and finish, the latter, being smooth as all getout. After that was the honey whiskey. Instead of the super sweet caricature most of us probably are familiar with from the big brands, Manatawny understands balance. We also got to sample some of their port barrel aged whiskey, which was something else. Hard to describe because it's greater than the sum of its parts. Just know it's not to be missed. They have a solid cocktail program down here as well. Check 'em out.

Yelp
I'd been there once, several years ago, during a visit to the city. We had a drink and bought a bottle for a friend, so we must have liked it. But I couldn't remember much about my visit. When I recently moved back to the city, they had a Yelp offer so I headed back to refresh my memory on how I liked them. One sip of a frozen piña colada and I was assured that I'd enjoyed them. When was the last time I had a frozen piña colada? Whenever it was (years ago), it was not here or I'd still be ordering them. So refreshing, and not cloyingly sweet. Ended up having two drinks (my limit). The frozen mojito was delicious too. When it's cooler, I'll be back to try a more sophisticated cocktail. But this summer, it's all about those frozen delights. Bartender told us that they try to use seasonal fruit; peach is up soon, I heard. I'll have to try it--purely for Yelp research purposes. ;)

Yelp
Bar tender was so rude! The espresso martini has whisky in it fyi! I didn't realize this and asked the bartender afterwards since it didn't taste normal and she was so rude and said "yeah what do you expect, you're at a whiskey bar". Meanwhile many other drinks on the menus only have vodka. The description on the espresso martinis doesn't list whiskey and is under "classic cocktails". She was so incredibly rude in many other ways too. The Fishtown one is so much better and the staff is amazing there. Drinks were blah and not much flavor

Yelp
Was finally able to make it out here and the whisky is good. Started with the levante brewing birra beer which was good, then the slushy (rosé I think), and did a flight. All good and took the Select 4-grain American whiskey. Staff was nice and the people that were there also were nice as the one girl told me to have a nice day as I was leaving lol Philly folks can be friendly lol

Yelp
TLDR; unique summer cocktails and good pours Went to Manatawny Still Works during the East Passyunk Food Festival (4/24) for a quick drink under the summer sun. Their walk up bar was very convenient but unsure if this is a constant feature they have open. They had a wide variety of summer drinks (mint, lavender, cucumber, strawberry were some of the seasonal highlights incorporated into the menu) and the staff was super friendly and happy to help you find your perfect drink. I will definitely return for their tasting room!

Yelp
Love frozen beverages from this place! The strawberry mojito is so good! You could taste the real strawberry and mint! Worth a visit for a quick cocktail!

Yelp
Manatawny Still Works was a last minute decision but a timely one. I happen to be in Philly on a weekend retreat with close friends and had some time to kill. So what do you do when you're looking for something to do to pass the time, have a drink at a trendy cocktail spot. Manatawny Still Works is definitely the spot to do just that. The bartender was fabulous, she was extremely knowledge and she makes a mean cocktail. I tried the maple old fashion dusted with nutmeg I believe. It was absolutely incredible. My friends tried different cocktails and the whiskey flight. One of my friends a non drinker enjoy one of their 0 alcohol beverages. We all enjoyed our cocktails and vowed to return. Manatawny makes their own whiskey and vodka and if you want, you can buy a bottle of their house vodka and the proceeds go an animal rescue. As a lover of animals, I thought that was very cool. If your in the area by yourself or with friends, I highly recommend that you give them a try.

Yelp
My friend and I came here for drinks after dinner in the area. They have amazing signature cocktails for $13. I got the Back to Black cocktail, with Black Three Bitches Vodka, Lime, and Raspberry Liqueur. It was pretty good but honestly too bitter for me as I tend to enjoy sweeter drinks. One thing to note is that they change their menu quite frequently. My friend has been here multiple times in the past and each time she's visited, their menu has been different. We tried to look at a picture someone posted of the menu, but it was completely different from what was actually offered once we got here. A bit of a bummer since I really liked the sound of those cocktails. Manatawny Still Works, please upload pictures or descriptions of your new cocktails on your website or Yelp whenever you change them!

Yelp
If you can find a better place to close out an evening of fine dining, you'll need to let me know. While not all that frequent, all of my visits to Manatawny's tasting room have been more than excellent. Of course, once you are done tasting, you probably won't regret grabbing yourself a bottle for home. What I can recommend? Seriously, any of their whiskey cocktails. My new (current, probably to be dethroned during my next visit) drink is their Ghouls, which is made with their White Whiskey. Not the biggest fan of gin, I usually stay away from gin based drinks, but have enjoyed the few sips of friend's gin drinks from Manatawny. If you are in the mood for something more standard, trust their bartenders. Whether you want their take on an old fashion or yours, they will deliver in my experience. Their pours are good and prices in line for the level of drink produced. Give them a shot to end (or begin) your evening!

Yelp
The drinks were so very tasty the only sad part was we couldn't get a flight because we were sitting outside and they apparently only have glassware for their flights. In covid would think everyone was using plastic drink ware.

Yelp
Nice menu. The French 75 was delicious. We sat right in the window to people watch, which was nice in this warm weather.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place (sigh). The atmosphere is exactly what I like: laidback and not fussy, but without being divy. But sadly, all 3 cocktails were heavy on bitters and sugar while light on alcohol. I don't want super-boozy pours that kill the taste of the cocktail, but I definitely appreciate a slight buzz to take off the edge after a long day. I had three cocktails without any food consumption and not the slightest buzz. I was underwhelmed, disappointed. Since I like the atmosphere so much, I'll give this place another try, perhaps on a different night. If they deliver on the drinks, I'll update my review, since I think it's only fair to acknowledge improvements. Fingers crossed.

Yelp
The Italian Market is a very involved cocktail. The bartender fills a tiny spoon with blue cheese, sets it down on a blank of wood, then takes a cinnamon stick, lights it on fire, covers the smoke with a glass, then while making your drink, flourishes the smoke your way, and then serves you your Vodka, honey, black walnut bitters cocktail (which is delicious and strong btw). Is it pretentious? Yes. If it were anywhere else I would roll my eyes, but somehow, here at Manatawny, it still works (see what I did there?). This is the perfect place to grab a drink before or after your fancy meal at Laurel, ITV, Fond, Bibou, Stateside, Perla, etc., or as a destination on its own. The menu includes some fancy cocktails, flights, a selection of citywides, and a few beers (no food, unless you count that blue cheese chunk). Service is friendly, and it has a neighborhoody feel. There's one long bar and then an area with a few stools (stumps?) clumped in the back (no table service here, just grab your drink from the bar). They have some swag for sale at the front, and I got an email for a $5 off coupon for merch after my first visit! I have a feeling I'm gonna be back.

Yelp
Attention business owners who believe that Yelp Elite Events are not worth the effort: This is a prefect case study demonstrating that they ARE. I recently attended an Elite event at Manatawny Still Works where I discovered that a) their drinks are really cool and b) I no longer have the alcohol tolerance I had in college (that's another story). Before that night, the last time I was in a bar was probably when George W. Bush was President. Truly. I am a vino and suds kinda gal, and rarely if ever actually go to a bar to get a drink - more like visit a bar in a restaurant or imbibe at a party. That Elite Event definitely sparked an interest, and since fellow and dear friend Yelper Dee M is a lover of whiskey, I told her we HAD to go. As it happens, Dee M and I decided to head down on a lovely night to see the "Miracle on 13th Street" lights, which are very close to the tasting room on Passyunk. Stopping in for a pre-walk elixir was definitely on our list. We got there in time for Happy Hour (yay!), and were met by our friendly and efficient bartender. We got drink menus, and decided on three drinks - the Art and Stormy, the Gia Gulini and the Interior Connection. Watching them all be mixed was quite fun, kind of a mad scientist type show, especially the Interior Connection. The results were beautiful (see pics) and delicious, and I am seriously not a drinker of spirits. the Gia was a little sweet but also tart with a nice bite, yum. The Interior Connection was like alcoholic coffee and was pretty delish. My favorite though was the Art and Stormy. Lots of different flavors, smooth with a nice 'bite' but not overwhelming. The place was hopping even for a Thursday night, but not deafeningly noisy. It was clean and nicely decorated for the holidays with a theme also suitable for a wedding, lots of white gauze draped. Manatawny, I think you may have made a spirits-drinker out of me, at least of your marvelous concoctions. We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
This is a great bar on East Passyunk! I've been here a few times, either for a Yelp event or just on my own, but the drinks stay great, and the bartending service is also top-notch! Just watch out for the hours if you go out on the earlier side, because at some times they only do tastings and don't have the bar open for general ordering. I really love the well-named/themed cocktails, and I usually pick one out from the list. But this time, the bartender recommended and made me a more personalized gin cocktail with grapefruit juice and egg whites! It was really pink and really good! I appreciated the personalized service and treatment, while getting some higher quality/experimental cocktails! The prices are also reasonable, and I like how it's conveniently located in East Passyunk. But the best part? Its proximity to cheesesteaks! Usually my night ends having to grab cheesesteaks just because it's so close, and I really can't complain! Now that I know it's BYOF though, it's an even more perfect match!

Yelp
My colleague recommended this place for cocktails, so I was excited to try a whiskey flight and an old fashioned. Apparently they were awarded the title of best old fashioned in Philadelphia, and they did not disappoint. This was one of the better old fashioned drinks I've had, and the bartender was very friendly and informative as he explained their processes and the different whiskeys in their flight. Their drinks are not cheap, but not out of line with other places, and I'm willing to pay a premium for local liquors; the bartender explained all ingredients come from within 50 miles! I was hoping to get a snack as well, but they were out of food because the refrigerator was broken.

Yelp
Some things are beyond worth the wait! Much like just about everyone in the Philly food know, as soon as news dropped that Arthur Etchells was moving on from Foobooz to take part in a new endeavor, I was instantly curious to know what it was. And when I found it was to become the general manager for the Philly side of Manatawny Still works it made perfect sense, because who better than someone who devoted over a decade of their lives covering the entire scope of the Philly bar & restaurant scene?! That news had me fully excited and keeping an eye on its progression, and sampling offerings like their Odd Fellows Gin, Three Bitches Vodka and more during Yelp events, and street festivals like the Newbold Blues Fest had me loving the distilled spirits that they had to offer. My excitement increased ten fold (And I also started to realize the deadly potential) once I realized that it's Philly home base was set to open three blocks away from my apartment, and when you fast forward to three days ago when Art stopped me to confirm that they were finally open for cocktail service; I'm happy to report that my expectations were beyond fulfilled! The first staggering fact about Manatawny is that despite setting up shop in the awkward spot that used to house the dining and office/gym section of Chiarella's (https://youtu.be/qpFO_a74F_M), the old Italian Restaurant that had consisted of 2 East Passyunk Ave properties whose reach extended past Izumi, the spot that they took over is now a pristinely renovated bar and shop space. Add in their own distilled spirits that you can buy on site, fresh ingredients for South Philly themed cocktails, and spot on customer service, and you have an easy contender for best cocktail bar in South Philly! For my first cocktail I went with the "When In Doubt, It's A Jawn!" because obviously; and I was treated to an incredible mix of gin, ginger, egg whites, and old fashioned bitters that added up to one of the most refreshing gin sours that I've ever had. With my second outing being on tea time I had to do a High Tea on Passyunk Square, and it was even more delicious gin blended with lady grey tea, orange, and candied ginger. Having needed to still try their rum I decided that I Got A Guy... and had him with grapefruit, grenadine, egg white, and a cherry on top. All three were solid cocktails that have me craving more, but The Place We Meet To Drink also has a solid local beer list; and a cool shop space where you can purchase their spirits, t-shirts, some food items, glassware, and more.

Yelp
Well this place is just amazing! Was back in my old stomping grounds this past weekend and we ventured out for Sunday brunch in Passyunk. I saw the sign for whiskey as we walked to our destination and said we should stop there on the way back. So we're on our way back and I just about threw myself through the door when I realized it said MANATAWNY! You see, Manatawny has a special place in my heart. It is THE whiskey that got me into whiskey a few years ago. I had it on a whiskey flight at Cooperage when I decided I really needed to try more whiskeys. Since then, whenever I saw it on the menu around Philly establishments, I always ordered it. I kept saying I was going to make it out to the actual distillery but never made it and then moved down to DC. We set up shop at the bar and I ordered the keystone whiskey of course, the one that turned me on years ago. Huge solid whiskey rock ice in the glass. I had two because, well, whiskey. They have more than just whiskey and a lovely little cocktail list as well so there really is something for everyone. The decor was rustic and awesome. And the service was beyond spectacular! Ben the Bartender was cool shit, thanks for putting up with my SnapChats lol! Aaaaand a certain Yelp Community Manager's HUSBAND is actually the GM of this wonderful establishment. And yes we ran into them while we were there, had a great time catching up! Was sooo nice to see a familiar Yelp face while I was in town! Oh and any person that plays Houndmouth on the tunes is my kind of people, it's my favorite band right now and I don't think I've ever heard them out at a public establishment before lol. I have a feeling they will do really well here, they even just opened last week! Cannot say enough good things about this place. Go have a drink here immediately!

Yelp
Excellent little spot. Kind of a hidden gem. The bartenders and people here are skilled and friendly, the company makes its own whisky Vodka gin rum etc. What to try: Drinks, custom cocktails. Let the bartender surprise you. We tried a Vietnamese Coffee drink with Rival Bros coffee and Whisky, as well as a Special Old Fashioned.

Yelp
I came here with a group of friends on a Saturday night for a cocktail and we had a great experience! The space is pretty small but we were able to grab several seats at the bar. I got the "I Love Your Hair, You Run Fast" which was Swarmbustin' honey whiskey, lemon, honey, and cider. It was so delicious and not overly sweet. I also tried a sip of the Flipadelphia which was creamy, and a sip of the Rum Ham which was really refreshing. I would definitely come back to Manatawny Still Works to try a flight of spirits or more of the fantastically-named and delicious cocktails!

Yelp
Love this tasting room. You walk in and there is a long bar area which plenty of seating (including a high top by the window). My husband is the whiskey drinker in the relationship but I still love me some distilleries! The couple of times we have gone, there was something we both could enjoy (with our vastly different tastes). I love the creativity in their craft cocktails. I don't remember what I ordered on my last visit but remembered trying a pb&j cocktail my husband ordered. Admittedly I wrinkled my nose at the thought but holy cow it was yummy! Really cool place to enjoy some cocktails.

Yelp
Truly one of the best experiences I've every had at a bar. The bartender was absolutely amazing and the drinks were delicous and unique. The overall feel of the place felt like behind welcomed into your friends house for a beer and a cocktail. The atmosphere is super friendly and open. I can't wait for my next visit. Btw I need to mention Mac, he's truly the best bartender I've ever seen.

Yelp
I've been trying to be intentional about supporting local businesses during COVID 19. So happy I found out about this distillery! I was introduced to Manatawny brewery through a Yelp virtual tasting. When I went to pick up my whisky I was delighted to see that they are open and serving drinks to go. They have a nice selection of both hot & cold cocktails. I can't recall the name of the drink I tried but it had a wonderful ginger flavor. It wasn't as sweet as I would have preferred, but next time I'll ask for it to be sweetened more. I'll definitely be back when it's warmer outside.

Yelp
We've been going to Manatawny since they opened and we've consistently enjoyed it! It's offered great cocktails and a cool hangout space. Sometimes we've bought bottles as gifts and (during the pandemic) for ourself. Lately my favorite cocktail has been Dancing with Myself, a lovely concoction of beet juice and wine that feels like it was made for me. They also have a really good maple whiskey. The service is great, the atmosphere casual, cozy, easy. We love it!

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place since passing by one day months ago. So, one cold pre-Christmas night F and I stopped in to check it out and warm up. We were the only patrons at the early start of a Thursday evening. Bob, the barman, was fantastic! He recommended to me his Old Fashioned and made F his own gin concoction. These cocktails were spot on! Then I tried their Whiskey flight. Wow, they make very interesting and complex spirits. While we were there, other people started to arrive and I felt like I was at a party at a friend's house. I was also able to pick up a few Christmas gifts. 3 Bitches Vodka, perfect for girlfriends (and proceeds go to The Piper Project, an animal charity). We will definitely be back for another round when we are in the neighborhood.

Yelp
They take COVID protocols pretty seriously. Our server was pretty aggressive but our drinks were so good. Two guys got an old fashion and the girls got the frozen pina colada .

Yelp
I really used to love this place and the staff but my most recent experience totally turned me off to this place for good. I dropped in a few minutes before they opened and asked if I could leave a bassinet from a stroller that we were talking to a local consignment shop we had brought it on our cargo bike with our baby and needed to come back for it and a drink after grabbing some food. Unfortunately we got a flat tire and couldn't come back right a away. We called a few times and it all seemed ok, but when we got back, it was made very clear that it wasn't. The first bartender was pleasant and asked us to wait. The second bartender yelled at me, my sleeping baby and my for year old, started talking to customers and shaking me for my atrocities, and followed me outside to dress me down on the sidewalk. Several patrons were astounded at her actions and apologized for her. I told her that I didn't think she was being very kind especially in front of my children and she continued to dress me down and invite me to never return. while I agree with almost nothing she said I can guarantee you that I and my family and everyone I know will definitely never returned there for buy anything from Manatawny.

Yelp
Had a good time here. Great cocktails. And I hate cocktails. I especially hate those cocktails that look like a frog's little habitat or some other kind of terrarium. I for real liked my cocktail. It was a winter cocktail with rosemary. But drink lists change often. There's no food. And it's priced in such a way where you really can't just hang out there. It's the kind of place you go after dinner on the avenue. Or before your dinner reservations. Seating is pretty accommodating but not really good for large groups. Prices are what you'd expect. Don't bring kids. They also sell liquors (because it's a tasting room), but not a liquor store. Sorry but you'll have to get your jäger elsewhere.

Yelp
(To the tune of "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" by Gary Portnoy & Judy Hart Angelo.... aka the CHEERS theme song) Making your way down EPA, where the restaurants are hot - If you're overwhelmed, grab a cocktail here, sure could help a lot. Wouldn't you like to get away... Sometimes you want to go Where are the drinks are not the same.... And you're always glad you're came. You wanna be where you can see The drinks have crazy names You wanna go where the drinks aren't all the same! East Passyunk - restaurant mecca, hot shopping district, and.... cocktail destination?! You betcha. This neighborhood spot is dog friendly and spirit-forward. Each drink I've sampled has been delicious, and their bartenders are typically down to get creative if you're more in the mood for a surprise (i.e. "I'd like an interesting take on an Old Fashioned" or "My favorite spirit is Mezcal - what's a cocktail that can channel that?" -- Loved it.) It's a small space, definitely cozy and if you don't get a seat at the bar, it's more the kinda spot you stop in for a single drink as it's tough to be someone standing in the place. But the price is reasonable, the drinks are delicious and creative, and the location can't be beat. They also occasionally host fun events with local vendors and creators, so keep your eyes out for those!

Yelp
The secret it out. Well, it was never a secret I guess. But for a tasting room for a (alright, now this seems obvious) very good distillery, that doesn't serve food, this place is hoppin'. Given, my most recent visit was on a Saturday night (again, with the obvious), but every seat is taken, with reasonable turnover, and the layout discourages too much bar crowding which I really appreciate. As for seating options, you have a small 4-seater by the front window, and you can fit a healthy amount of people in the very back at a booth-like object, or so I saw when people were there yesterday. Otherwise your options are the long bar, and to some degree, the narrow ledge behind it (but don't stand there, you're making it crowded). The skill with which two bartenders handle this whole scene is impressive. And not pouring taps either, this is a distillery tasting room after all, so we're talking about cocktails (including the Italian Market, where there's fire involved, check some reviews for that or just get it), with a nice bottle selection of beer and some cider as well. The best deals are the citywides, where a bottle of beer is upgraded with a shot of one of the liquors. But don't be too stingy, go ahead and get a Seranade to try out the house old fashioned, or the Italian Market for a show, or the Raise the Cat, which is tasty and delicate featuring pomegranate and rosemary. If you're on the fence, just go!

Yelp
We really wanted to grab a drink here as we heard good things about it. However, after the second passive aggressive comment from a second server, we decided to just get up and leave before ordering. We felt unwelcome and will not be trying it again.

Yelp
I went for a second time, had the most wonderful bartender and the best whiskey sour I have ever tasted.

Yelp
We popped in here for a cocktail but all the cocktails were whiskey! Whiskey is too cool for me, so ended up just having a quick beer. Felt like a fun neighborhood spot.

Yelp
This place is such an amazing addition to East Passyunk. I love the Ave's fancy eateries and south Philly bars, but this cocktail bar [that also serves beer] really fills in some spots that have been missing. I am not a big cocktail drinker, but I loved the Gorretti-Rita and the Art & Stormy. I do not like whiskey, but seriously give that first one a try! I have also been in to have a couple of beers, and there's BYO food policy, I believe. I have seen dogs inside too, FYI! Updated to add: I actually really do like their honey whiskey!

Yelp
i'm so excited for this venue to have opened! one part bar, one part pennsylvania small batch spirits store, this is a lovely addition to passyunk. i tried a few of the cocktails, and my favorite was the "italian market." in addition to being a delicious concoction, it's also a show (and lights up the interior with the fragrance of smoked cinnamon stick. served with a a little (gelato!) spoon of blue cheese, it drank a bit more like an after-dinner drink, but i could honestly drink it anytime and be very happy. the wood that the bar is made from reclaimed wood from an old farmhouse not far away. all in all, it's a fantastic atmosphere and a great place to have a drink and to take home some craft spirits to make your own at home. my suggestion: a martinez using their hidden river gin.

Yelp
First time here last night and will def be back. Great drinks, super friendly bar staff (Ben & I'm not sure what the other guy's name was but he gave us a shot since we were on date night with the baby at home), and just a great place to hang and have a few drinks. Think we'll try coming back with our 1.5 yr old (someone was there with a dog last night so seems like they wouldn't mind). Keep it up guys!

Yelp
Lovely little bar with fantastic whiskey offerings. A bottle of their whiskey has become my go-to gift for far-flung friends, and I usually like to have a bottle on hand. They make excellent cocktails, the bartenders are very friendly, and it's a nice place to visit before checking out the restaurants along Passyunk. I like the vibe of the place so much I had a photo shoot with buddies before my wedding.

Yelp
Living near Passyunk Ave we frequent the area for dinner- this has become our go to place for a night cap after date nights. Great selection of cocktails and friendly bartenders to accompany them!

Yelp
I walked into this place because of the high reviews and I like whiskey. After a minute of scoping around for a seat, drunk bro-ey guys started yelling at my wife and I that there's room, there's room. As we walked out, they continued yelling at us. If yelling at people walking in a bar is the past-time, it seems like a boring place. I can't do bro-ey.

Yelp
We live in the neighborhood and absolutely love this bar. Staff is always accommodating, kind and welcoming (but we also don't try and leave a baby bassinet and stroller at a bar before they open, Rick C. *eyeroll*). The ever-changing craft cocktail list always hits the spot, the Happy Hour special is awesome, and they have plenty of craft options for beer lovers. We've only had a few of the snacks but they were all delicious. The bar is on the smaller side so might not the best option for a huge group, but singletons, couples and small groups all come through. Yet another great option in a neighborhood full of excellent bars and restaurants!

Yelp
All of the liquor is Manatawny's distilled. The bartender made me a cocktail off the menu since I wanted something sweet. They can make off the menu drinks assuming they have those mixers. BF got the art & stormy which was a sweeter rum version of the dark and stormy. I really liked that drink and wished I got it. He also tried the Italian market, which the burn a cinnamon stick and cover it with the glass to get the cinnamon aromas in the drink. It was really cool to see. That drink also came with blue cheese on the side to eat. Everything tasted well together. The bartenders were nice and the space was intimate, definitely a bring a date to talk/get to know each other over drinks kind of place. Prices were not bad at all around $9-11 for most cocktails and cheaper for beer especially since it's all distilled from them.

Yelp
Cool little whiskey bar in an area that definitely needed a place other than Stateside to grab a decent whiskey drink. The place is tiny and can get crowded quickly, but they have a standing bar behind the main bar, so you'll always have somewhere to set your drink. They have a nice menu of mixed drinks, as well as wine and beer. My husband (the avid whiskey drinker) enjoyed the Old Fashioned he ordered, and he's quite picky about his booze. Great spot for before or after dinner drinks.

Yelp
This place is great, and super-friendly for families believe it or not! They even give out free cake for kids during eagles games. So if you want to actually go to a bar where you wont be ostracized for bringing screaming toddlers along, MSW is the place for you.

Yelp
Came here for drinks last week for a friend's birthday and was very impressed. The specialty cocktail list was themed for an event going on, but the drinks were awesome. Had a version of the dark and stormy which I really enjoyed. Cannot wait to come back and try more of the offerings.

Yelp
Great place. The bartender accommodated us with an off menu cocktail. When it wasn't what we expected he put it on the house and made sure to take great care of us. Great whiskey, even better bartenders!

Yelp
Very cool concept, and a great location. We came when they had first opened, so it was warm enough to keep the windows in the front open- the decor is nicely done, and I enjoyed my High Tea cocktail- the lady grey was a nice touch and well done, not bitter!

Yelp
Best local whiskey PA has to offer by far. Not only can you get cocktails here but bottles sales as well. Worth a stop in... Great addition to the neighborhood!

Yelp
Awesome place, the owners are great! Definitely a must hit while in Philly. Try the flight, a cocktail, and sip some whiskey.
