We stayed here for 3 nights for a work meeting in SD. We booked our room through World of Hyatt site directly and booked a king bed with harbor view. The hotel staff communicated with us prior to our stay and waited for us since we checked in quite late.
The room has a nice view of the harbor, Naval base. We saw several fight jets taking off the ship during our stay, which is amazing!
The Seaport village is right outside of the hotel with some shops, restaurants, etc. There is a historic carousel in the village, $5 per person.
Overall, it is a good place to stay for business, meeting, etc.
What knocked off one star from my rating:
- parking is expensive!
- room is very small (340 square feet), small sofa, a desk, counter with some small drawers, and a small fridge, barely enough space to roll our suitcases in. Photo via website is a bit deceiving. The bathroom is very small. Lack of storage space.
- no balconies
- everything close by 9 pm.
