This is a must stop for me!! Artisinal butcher with burger blends, meat sticks...get the THUNDER DUST. Bakery with cookies, brownies, cupcakes and fresh breads! Fantastic chef with rotating specials and well stocked deli with prepared foods that are made with real food. These Manchester folks sure are lucky! Nearly 2 hour drive...worth it!!

Wow! Wow! Wow! I am impressed. I am a Muslim and let me tell you that I am impressed with this place. I was afraid that the people would be mean to me because I don’t see Muslims in this area and everyone was so kind; overly kind. God bless them all. 🥰❤️ I purchased food from the dining area and it was delicious and fantastic! I explained that I am vegetarian and they accommodated my needs. I love animals too much to eat them 🥰❤️. The store and the goods were also very good. Everything is so clean. Highly recommend 🥰❤️

What a great market. They have a fantastic hot gran and go with salsa, wraps, sandwiches, pulled pork, macaroni fried chicken and so much more. I got a pulled pork power bowl and it was absolutely fantastic. Pulled pork and beans had a great flavor. They have a great meat market and baked goods. All farm to table.

Google
Great market, great customer service and even better meat! We drive over 50 miles one way to get our meat here. Highly recommend.

Google
WAY OVER PRICED! They have a good selection, but the prices are double - With their meat market, only select products, and limited supply, even the beer is "SPECIALLY PRICED". Went there on vacation to an airb&b and got breakfest and snacks and a case of beer for almost $200 - then my friend bought dinner from the meat market, and wine, for more than me. Thats over $400 for 3 people and one weekend. TO BE REAL - There is a Dollar General across the street we should have checked first, because we went there for ice and a foam cooler, and it was still injust of how much we spent for the meat, and freezer foods. WAY OVER PRICED!!!!!!!

Google
Disappointed with the customer service. I stood waiting at the register while three employees stood around chatting, completely ignoring me as I tried to quickly buy a coffee creamer and get back to my day. It may not seem like a big deal, but small moments like this matter. Good customer service is about respect and acknowledgment—if you can’t even greet a customer, why should they come back?

Google
Nice clean store, with an awesome meat counter. Since they raised their beef prices to an absurd level, as of this post, National price of ground beef was 5.50 a pound, 7.50 a pound is robbery. I will be going else where.

Google
A nice gem for quality food without needing to travel to Chelsea. A bit pricey, but nice meat department and beer cave.

Yelp
excellent chicken strips, lasagna, meatballs, beef pot pie, and chicken. Great meat counter with great cuts of beef. The staff is very helpful and courteous. In fact, everything I have had is delicious.

Yelp
I have not been to the store yet; however, I have purchased soup from the gas station near Loch Erin. The first soup I purchased was the ancho beef chili. OMG! Out of this world. The depth of flavor definitely made my taste buds happy. Last night I tried the smoked sausage and bean soup. Again, you knocked it out of the park. I have noticed that your sandwiches go very fast from the gas station so they must be amazing too. I am looking forward to traveling to Manchester to check out your store. Keep up the great work!!!!!

Yelp
Manchester Market is my first stop when visiting town. It's a go-to destination for artisan breads, Noggle Farms meat, fresh produce, locally roasted coffee, prepared meals, handmade gelato and more. Those Yelp reviews prior to 2021 need to be taken down and disregarded. This is a completely different establishment which took over an abandoned grocery store--the one these ancient reviews are referring to. Yes, it has the same name, but the founding partners are experienced in major food establishments in the Ann Arbor and Jackson area, and have created a completely different experience with first-class service combined with small-town ambiance. Do NOT trust any review written before 2021. -

Yelp
Stopped at the deli for a veggie bowl and was way greeted by the owner. It was a delicious meal. We also received such an excellent large dish of gelato filled with five different flavors that was locally made. Only five dollars! Don't miss this.

Yelp
Expensive but a relief to have grocery in Manchester. Deli and butcher very knowledgeable. Sad to see the local farmer's market leave last year.

Yelp
If I lived in this town I would travel the extra miles to Ann Arbor to shop at real grocery stores. Aside from the dreary interior, the Manchester Market takes full advantage of it's no-home-to-a-Meijer small town. Need batteries for the new Christmas gift Nerf Guns? Too freaking bad, kid! At $9.98 for the small pack, we'll buy a few gallons of gas and you can wait until tomorrow! Have a hankering for some ice cream? It had better be real bad in a pregnant sort of way craving. Otherwise, at almost $7.00 a half gallon, we'll hold off and buy the good stuff next time we're "in town".... You aren't that far from the big city, so unless it's an emergency situation or that pregnancy craving; make a list, take a drive and shop elsewhere.

Yelp
For a town as small as Manchester, we're lucky to have any grocery store at all. Manchester market has a decent selection, fair prices and almost never any waiting in line.

Yelp
I donlt know who Jennifer W from Auburn Hills but my thought would be...stay in Auburn Hills. The Manchester Market is a small town grocery, independently owned, and operated for as long as I can remember. No the prices may not compare to Meijer, but this store has employed local folks for years. I can't count how many kids have worked their way through high school working at the market. You usually can't just run in and out, because in our small town, you are always going to see someone you know in addition to the folks who work there. Sorry you don't like what we offer in Manchester, it obviously isn't the place for you.

Lori L.

Yelp
Jennifer is correct some items cost more at the Manchester Market than in Ann Arbor; but there are many items that cost less at the Market than Meijer or Walmart. This is a small town business that employees local residents. The Manchester Market has the best meat in the county and the friendliest employees. I was born and raised in Ann Arbor; I go there to work; but I will do my grocery shopping at the Manchester Market!

Dan W.

Yelp
Again just recently bought a nearly $6.00 pint of Ben & Jerry's (Which is insanity, Well over $1.00 over normal retail price anywhere else) and it was disgusting! It was covered in frost and tasted and looked as if it had been freezer burned and thawed and refrozen several times. I have never tasted ice cream quite like this and I am a huge fan of Ben & Jerry's. The next day I went to the store to do some RECON and noticed that the freezer barely seemed to be working properly, there was a large amount of ice built up on several items as well. I don't know why I even bother to go to this place, I have had several negative experiences there. This time I truly think will be my last.

Yelp
This is a superior small town market with some but not all of the limitations that implies. It is unrealistic to expect pricing to be competitive with larger stores in larger towns. It does carry high quality (but somewhat limited) fresh produce.. The meat and poultry selection is always fresh and fairly extensive. There is a limited selection of deli items. The store is always clean and keeps convenient hours. The market staff are local and friendly. Manchester Market is a real asset for those who live in the area as the nearest competitors are at least a 22 mile round trip away.

Kathy S.

Yelp
The store is very convenient with friendly service and great chicken! I stop in at least once or twice a week. I also love running into friends and neighbors there. It is a small town store.

Anne K.

Yelp
The employees are friendly if you are friends or family. Otherwise, you are lucky if they acknowledge your presence. I can't count how many times I have gone through checkout without ever making eye contact or hearing what should be an automatic "thank you" or "you're welcome". There is now a Dollar General across the street where I can purchase items that can't wait (milk, eggs, bread, etc) and their employees seem to understand the value of good customer service. I agree that their meat selection is very good, but their produce is poor (why, in a farming area?) I am tired of being treated rudely. If the owners of Manchester Market can't impress upon their employees the importance of treating all customers with courtesy, they are going to continue to lose business to Dollar General.
