"Manco and Manco is exactly where you should come for a slice after an afternoon on the beach. The pizza spot opened in 1956, and has since opened five more locations around the Shore. It’s great during the summer months, when lines wrap around the building, but you may find yourself driving here after you’ve switched to snow tires. The famous tomato sauce is swirled in a circular pattern, and while there’s a wide variety of toppings, you can’t go wrong with a cheese slice or their white pizza. Manco and Manco fans are so devoted they’ll drive from the Philly suburbs and back, just for one of these pies." - Sydney Mcelwee, Candis Mclean, Tonya Russell

"There are a few things you can always expect to see on the boardwalk: a group of 13-year-olds living a coming-of-age story, that mini-golf gorilla who intermittently spits water at unsuspecting victims, and a line out the door of Manco and Manco’s. Formerly known as Mack & Manco’s (and still called that by half the island), Manco & Manco’s looks like pretty much every other counter-service pizza shop on the boardwalk. Except that it’s not, it’s better. The slices are bigger, the crust is crunchier, and the cheese-to-sauce ratio is scientifically perfect. photo credit: David A. Lee" - Sydney McElwee

We had a wonderful server who treated us very politely. We were very hungry for pizza but our expectations werent high. The pizza was not very good but I have high standards as a new yorker. HOWEVER, once we had gotten our check we realized the scam this business was running. We were appalled to see that ONE PIE OF BAD PIZZA WAS 25.75. Considering how unreasonable this price was we were unable to provide an adequate tip. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE YOUR MONEY.

Google
Manco & Manco is the best pizza in OCNJ!! The server was friendly and we didn’t wait long for our pies. The sauce is out of this world and the crust is thin and crispy!! Always entertaining to watch the guys doing their thing!! One of the best parts of our vacation always!! Don’t change a thing!!!

Went in for a bite. Never been there before. Waitress was extremely rude and dismissive, was uncalled for. Floor was disgusting that my daughter asked me if they ever even clean the floor, which I hadn't noticed previous to ordering and they cant use the excuse "were busy", there was maybe 3 tables seated..... We should have walked out. Not worth the price you pay. In my opinion... keep walking.

Loved our dining experience… helpful, speedy, and friendly staff. The pizza is amazing. Love getting any kind you like by the slice! Just delish!

Google
Delicious pizza!!! Every time we're in OC we get pizza and it's always yummy. The white pizza was the best this time. Service was great as well!

Google
Absolutely my first stop after parking my car 🥰❤️🥰 THE BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD. I love the clean, crisp white shirts worn by the staff. I love sitting at the counter and enjoying the people around me. I just love Mancos. Oh and talk about a fast pie. Hot and fresh within minutes of sitting down. I also love to go around 2 or 3 pm never hit a line yet. Wait until 5 or 6 and you will wait for awhile. But it's so worth it. There's a chickie and Pete's a few shops away so if you are ever waiting in line have someone grab a bucket of crab fries.

Mrs Feltwell

Google
The best pizza! They have to locations on the boardwalk one only serves pizza & the other has more items on the menu. We are here based on a recommendation & loved the pizza!

Always go to this pizza place when in ocean city. Go to the location in Somers point sometimes. Both have great pizza. They accept credit cards now over $10.

Yelp
Ain't nothing like a boardwalk pie! Me and my kids went to Manco and Mancos after a spur of the moment trip down the shore. Spent a few hours on the beach and had to grab pizza before leaving. Now, we are Wildwood shore goers so our taste is keen to Mack's but we were impressed with Mancos! Nice seating area in the back, friendly staff, pie came out hot and fresh. The sauce was delicious, cheese was perfect and the crust. Oh the crust was crusting! Soft slight chew and great flavor. Next time I'm in OC I'll be stopping back in for sure. 2 sodas one large pie $35 Honestly I was expecting a higher price because it is the boardwalk. Pleasantly surprised and definitely worth every penny. Everyone ate. No crumbs left behind.

Gina F.

Yelp
I know Manco and Manco is crazy busy in the summer, so I don't mind the wait, but we have been loyal year round customers for decades and last night was the first time I ever had an awful waitress-she had a scowl on her face the one time she addressed us, didn't come back to check on us, and when we finally found her when most of us were finished eating to point out that one of the people at our table never received their Buffalo chicken slice, she visibly rolled her eyes and said okay. When she eventually came back with it, she just handed her the pizza-no apology, no so sorry for the mix up or the wait. And then came by and dropped the check on the table without saying a word. This is the kind of service that would make someone who wasn't a frequent patron never come back. I know it's mid August and everyone is tired, but you have to do better!

Michael D.

Yelp
Correction : credit cards now accepted.. Still is a very busy pizza store with home delivery. Still a bit expensive.

Paul D.

Yelp
This place never disappoints! My fiancé and I stopped in for a bit to eat on a Saturday evening. There was no wait and we were able to sit down immediately. We've been going here for years and it's always consistently great. Highly recommend trying out their pizza if you never have before!

Stoopid S.

Yelp
What can you say...still the BEST! I know there are lots of people that want there to be another King of the Boardwalk Pizza but Manco & Manco still reigns supreme I do prefer single slices over whole pies....much better crisp on the bottom The crust is a perfect thin and crisp and the amount of cheese is awesome...and it releases the right amount of grease Staff at all the locations I hit were great....smiles and patience even while being super busy

Samantha H.

Yelp
I always have to stop and get this pizza if in Ocean City. I believe this particular Manco & Manco location is take out only. This is boardwalk style pizza. The taste is very unique. If you're in the area and haven't had it before, you definitely have to try it. On my most recent visit, we called and ordered the pizza ahead for pickup. It was ready in a reasonable amount of time and tasted hot and fresh. The price of these pizzas are pretty expensive but I think it's worth it.

Jules C.

Yelp
It's just ok pizza. I really don't get the hype? I grabbed a slice further up the boardwalk at another spot when walking off the beach one afternoon and it was exponentially better. Maybe it's an OC thing, or an off day - but I would not go out of my way to get this pizza.

Peter Z.

Yelp
This is our"go to" pizza when we visit the shore, tried and true pie that could have something to do with memories and familiarity as much as anything else. Different than Connecticut apizza or anything back home in Boston due to the fact they sauce it last while the dough is cheese and toppings first then usually a chunky style sauce. Nice thin crust but lacks the chew I'm used to in a pie. But overall it's consistent and tasty. Don't sleep on the ranch, bacon and chicken that has chopped breaded chicken cutlet which seals the deal. A number of locations spread out across the boardwalk with a Somers point location also.

PloopyYT S.

Yelp
Certified fien. Me and my family been eating here since it was Mack and Marco. Only gotten better!

Noah M.

Yelp
When I first saw Manco, I was blinded by its majesty. Dumbstruck. I crashed my 2001 Honda civic through 3 ocean city parking meters in my state of mania. My ex wife Cherie was unconscious in the passenger seat, but still I stumbled into the greasy temple's storefront. 3 slices of plain pizza did the job. I unhinged my jaw like a great amazonian serpent and throated the magnificent za, much to the chagrin of the other patrons. As that luscious orange grease dripped down all three of my chins and onto the tile floor, I was surrounded by OCPD officers. As they cuffed me, I let out a viscous belch that shattered windows and made babies cry. I horrified law enforcement officials as I repeatedly vomited up my prize and reassimilated it on the floor or my jail cell. They had no choice but to let me go. My ex wife was in awe. 5 stars

Sylvia J.

Yelp
On the boardwalk of Ocean City, this pizza place always seems to have a line out front. You can take Pizza to go or you may sit at a bar stool or tables in the back. The atmosphere is casual. The pizza is good but not great. The ambiance is lively. I got a slice of the everything pizza, my husband ordered a slice of everything and pepperoni ( he seemed very happy with his meal). The pizza had a nice sauce but the crust was very thin and pizza was pretty greasy and I felt they were a little thin on the toppings ( at least on my piece). All in all it wasn't bad.

Yelp
Happy belated birthday to my Lily Bear! 6! We celebrated Monday with a trip to Ocean City, NJ! Playground, fudge, more fudge, and visited the peace sign on the beach! And of course a trip to our favorite pizza stop Manco and Manco Pizza ....but that's where it ended!!! You see they use paper straws, and while I applaud them for being eco friendly, the straws easily break. Especially with two young kids, who usually slobber on them and pull the straw in and out, while scarfing down a large delicious pizza. No problem...I'll ask the waiter for more. NOPE...Waiter tells me if I want a new straw I'll have to buy two more sodas! What! I press, but the poor guy says he'll be yelled at. So, Charles, the owner of a very successful pizza restaurant chain, wants me to buy two whole new sodas. I would pay an extra 5 cents for the straws, but that wasn't offered. I calmed myself. Then I get the bill, and realize it says "due to processing fees cash gratuity is greatly appreciated". Charles doesn't run a startup company, he runs a very successful chain restaurant that even in the winter there's a line out the door. But he chooses to take money out of his waiter's pockets! Manco & Manco Pizza and Charles are nickel and diming everyone! Again, I would pay 5 cents for the straws. But ruins my families memories of a place we love and cherish as we go thru life together! Guess we start bringing reusable straws on our OC trips. Update: Thanks for reaching out. Please let your staff know, they can give out an extra straw. The server was visible shaken by me asking, replying I will get yelled at. So a manager or someone is telling the servers, they are not allowed. Because of your response,I've moved my 9"one star to three stars. Thanks! Mike

Jeff M.

Yelp
I can't believe this was my first time eating hear after many trips to Ocean City, NJ. My loss for sure. The cheese pizza was really good. The Bacon, chicken, ranch pizza was AMAZING! I know so many people that make trips to OC just to go to Manco and Manco and now I see why. This might have been my 1st time eating here, but won't be my last.

Ben T.

Yelp
Forever my favorite pizza-- white garlic with broccoli. I've been coming here to get it for more years than I'd ever care to mention. I recently called for delivery while I was staying local, during the end of the season, and they delivered so quickly, my lazy ass was more than impressed! Again, forever my FAVORITE pizza.

Robert L.

Yelp
Wasn't very impressed, sauce had an after taste and it was very expensive for what it was. $26 for a plain pie. They also stop delivery after 7:30 we had guests arriving at 8:30 so had to order it early and keep it warm in the oven.

Kathleen D.

Yelp
Eh, don't bother. This pizza is severely boring and pointlessly expensive. For a medium fountain drink and one slice of plain pizza, you're paying $5. It's not worth the boardwalk price to me. Since I was alone, I sat at the open stool closest to the door. A couple guys walked in right before me and sat down further. They had their pizza slices before anyone even acknowledged me. The guy who took my order appeared to want to be anywhere else. He also served me the slice of pizza that had a big crusty, tasteless bubble in it. Lots of bland tomato sauce and hardly any cheese, aka my favorite part of the pie. I ate that thing quickly and bolted out the door in search of a second lunch.

Lila P.

Yelp
Easily could have been a tourist trap but Manco's has some good pizza. The plain pizza was a thin, crunchy crust pizza that was a little bit saucy. Order ahead to avoid the lines and enjoy pizza by the beach!

Don C.

Yelp
Have been going to Ocean City for over 25 years and this pizza institution has been a part of every single trip. (Back when it was known as Mac & Manco.... poor Mac... I'm sure he's enjoying life without Manco... who knows... ) The thin and crispy pizza has a distinctive spiral of amazing pizza sauce with cheese, always perfectly cooked. Get a birch beer and you've got a meal that is unique and delicious. Bring cash (no credit cards) and don't look for a salad. Other than that it's heaven on earth to enjoy a slice and make a Jersey Shore memory.

Tristan S.

Yelp
Wantttttttr moreeeeeeeee I ate four slices Just to be sure I liked it. I did. Get the cheese steak special.

Sylvia A.

Yelp
This place has a very good boardwalk pizza. It definitely lives up to the hype. Just FYI the pizza taste really delicious buy it is on the expensive side. Oh don't get me wrong. We have no regrets! We ordered a large thin crust sausage and pepperoni pizza. We paid $26.00 for it. The sauce and cheese was so delicious! The slices are huge as well and very satisfying. We received 8 slices and we demolished it. I highly recommend and will be purchasing another whenever we are back in the area. They also have indoor seating or you can take it to go & they also sell per slice which is very satisfying as well.

Mallory D.

Yelp
My favorite pizza on the boardwalk! This to me is what summer tastes like. If you like thin pizza with a high sauce to cheese ratio I am of the opinion that it doesn't get any better that this. One slice costs $2.50. Two will do the job every time! And there you have it.

Jenna P.

Yelp
I've loved Manco & Manco ever since it was Mack & Manco Year's ago. It is truly a timeless ocean city speciality. I love that the sauce is sweet, and the crust is crunchy!! I think the quality of the pizza is better if you dine in, rather than just get a slice on the go. My favorite pizza is the white pizza, or their classic margarita.

Jojo E.

Yelp
Well we finally got to try this pie. I will break it down for you in three parts, the crust was pretty darn good, crispy, good taste. The sauce was over seasoned and you couldn't taste the sauce. The cheese I wasn't a big fan of, not sure what kind of cheese, but not mozzarella. Would I ever go back? No If the pie was free would I eat it? yes If I had a $5 coupon off the $20 pie, would I get it? No

Amanda S.

Yelp
Always a pleaser! Yummy pizza. Love the sauce! Friendly staff. Not the most attentive but they got the job done.

Makenzie L.

Yelp
This place has the best pizza but recently when I went through the pizza was a little crunchy I'm not a person for crunchy pizza this pizza taste delicious but their prices are so expensive but definitely 4 stars

Veronica N.

Yelp
I can not say how much I absolutely love their pizza! Ever since I was a kid, I always associated the shore with their pizza! It's a must every time I'm on the boardwalk. You can eat at the counter, sit down or take it to the beach with you. It's always perfectly cooked & the crust is nice and crispy. I also love that they have birch beer soda, not many establishments serve it. They also offer a variety of other beverages like fresh squeezed lemonade. If you have never tried their pizza you are missing out!

Lauren H.

Yelp
Out of the three Manco shops on the boardwalk this one came in second. The pizza was good nice and fresh but not as good as the 12th Street one and better than the 9th Street one. I love sitting up at the counter and watching them make the pizzas! The sauce is to die for!

Jaron G.

Yelp
Manco & Manco has been a staple in my life since childhood. I never visit the shore without making a pit stop for some of the best pizza out there. Manco & Manco Pizza is the definitive taste of the Jersey shore. It never disappoints! Thank you for the fantastic food.

Cynthia F.

Yelp
I haven't tried too many pizza places on the boardwalk so I'm not going to lie about that. I don't really have much to compare to as far as boardwalk pizza so I won't even try. All I can say is that I thought this was pretty good pizza. I had the plain and I really enjoyed it. The line was extremely busy so I thought to myself "hey this had to be good." I was right it is good. Thank you for the delicious pizza. I would most definitely eat here again.

Krystal C.

Yelp
The smell draws you in... as I walked down the boardwalk none of the other pizza parlors were as fragrant. If you've ever had and liked NYC pizza then Manco and Manco is the place for you!!! Their slices are thin crust, with just the right amount of sauce. Pies only come in one size, about 8 regular slices for only $20. All they do is pizza and with 3-4 spots along the beach you're bound to find seating in one of them. My only grievance (reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is that they could've been more generous with the cheese or used a bit more dough. Even folded, my slice seemed a little wimpy.

Mark P.

Yelp
A lifetime of great pizza here! Today is no exception!! This is the #1 pizza place on the boards in OCNJ!

Jennifer H.

Yelp
My friend's husband RAVED about this place's amazing pizza, and we were so excited. After seeing and trying it we were both like WTF is he talking about??!! Greasy and mediocre at best. I like Randazzo's at 34th street but that is far down from the boardwalk, so I'm sure you can find a lot of reviews on better boardwalk pizza places on here.

Lucy S.

Yelp
It's hard for me to give this place a mediocre review because I've been coming here off and on for 15 yrs. But it's definitely not Mack and Mancos . The pizza is just ok. Reheated and barely hot. The service is tired. On my last visit, two snarky pizza guys were mocking the rest of the help in front of all the counter customers. They thought they were being discreet, but they were very obvious. Not the same customer service and quality of food I've been accustomed to over the years . It's sad. Maybe the owners should be more present. First time ever on a Friday night there was no line. I wonder why (?) *i want to also add this bit of ridiculousness. A slice of pizza is $2.50. A bottled water is $3.50. What??

Charles R.

Yelp
Pizza is fine. Accepts cash only. Workers cut and handle pizza slices and cash without washing hands in between or wearing gloves.

Wesley S.

Yelp
The pizza was DELICIOUS. Fairly thin crust. Cheese on the bottom, then sauce, then toppings. I only like to eat bread if it's really delicious, and this crust was worth every carb. We decided to go here because we were seeing their pizza boxes all over town. That turned out to be a good idea. This family chain of restaurants has honed an excellent recipe and efficient serving methods over the years. CASH ONLY

Angela H.

Yelp
The boardwalk is filled with a gluttony of fast food but one place most everyone agrees on is that grabbing a slice at Mac and Mancos is a must. No need to fancy up your thin-crusted slice with pepperoni or extra cheese because the blend of sauce to cheese is perfect. One flaw is watching the grease pour out like a faucet but c'mon it's pizza---what do you expect?! Grab a slice at the counter if you can. It's the best seat in the house and also where you can get fast service.

Mallory Q.

Yelp
This is truly the best pizza on the Jersey Shore. it's like the Krispy Kreme of pizza... thin and melts in your mouth. Delicious tasty sauce and cheese. Can't beat the crust. Just get plain! The guys are always friendly and fast! We go in here every summer w big parties/family reunions and there is always a good seat.

Mike F.

Yelp
I have been eating Manco's for decades and never disappointed. But today I tried their chicken strips and they were the best. We have been trying chicken strips from all over and was surprised that a pizza place had such good ones. Very big and crispy. Not too spicy like some. Hard to not order pizza when you walk by but try the chicken strips. You will not be disappointed.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Ordered a pie for delivery at 8pm; asked for half veggie half pepperoni and sausage. In Northern NJ, a veggie pie has veggies of your choosing baked at the same time with the cheese so it sticks to your pie. We should've known something was amiss when the pie arrived at our door 20 mins later. Not only did the veggies on this pie look like an afterthought; hastily piled onto an already cooked plain pie which was cold, but no extra cheese to hold it all together?! Worse, we were charged THIRTY DOLLARS for this pie, in other words, an additional $3.50 charge for EACH iNdividual veggie TOPPING on only HALF of this pie!! Never again. We'll be taking our business to Piccini.

Ayanbu O.

Yelp
I was referred to this restaurant but another Yelp user. This restaurant is really not bad. Service was good. I actually liked how you can sit down and eat instead of standing or eating on the Boardwalk having to deal with those damn seagulls. The pizza is good and will come back again.

Anthony G.

Yelp
Had the manco and manco pizzas at the sitdown location. Very good and loved the white pizza. Here, the regular cheese pie was very good. However, the white broccoli was mediocre at best. Not enough riccota on it, kind of dry, enough broccoli though was on it. Also, bland tasting. Very disappointing, will stick with the regular pie

Glenn C.

Yelp
I'm giving it 3 stars because it is better than a few other boardwalk spots. It is overpriced at around $4 for a small piece of pepperoni. The pizza tastes OK nothing great but at least it has a little bit of cheese and an acceptable crust. The seating is not the most comfortable but what do you expect on the boardwalk. Drink prices are average with no free refills. Service was OK.

Jay R.

Yelp
One reviewer said this pizza is for "shoobies." It isn't. This pizza is "Trenton style" and features the sauce on top of the cheese and a very crisp, thin crust. Chances are you don't have a place like this nearby, even if you are aren't a "shoobie." Yes its overpriced, its on the boardwalk. If you go to the boardwalk looking for a deal, you're crazy. The minigolf, the popcorn, the sodas, the suntan lotion, its all overpriced. Mack & Manco's is simply the best pizza on the boardwalk, and if you're looking for a thin crust style pizza, you're probably going to love this too. Although the crust can be extremely dry when not covered by cheese (just toss them aside and start a new slice), the cheese and sauce are very tasty, and along with the crisp bite from the crust, its an excellent experience. Service is quick even when crowded, however there can be a wait for seating. Another nice touch is their soda fountain, featuring at least two nice uncommon treats: Birch Beer and Strawberry Cream soda. I'm also a fan of Orange soda, but that's fairly common. Remember though, if you want a lot of beverage, there are no free refills, and Large isn't the biggest, order and Extra Large.

Ant D.

Yelp
When I went there with Ms. Francesca one time their gluten free pizza was the greatest. I can't wait to come back there again.

Andrew B.

Yelp
Last week I stopped at pizza place a little north of Manco's and was disappointed. Yes I said last week, my wife likes the OC boardwalk and I like pizza. I got a note from the owner wanting a second chance, but after what everyone told me I had to try Manco & Manco. The cost was more reasonable by far, $14 something for 3 slices and a large Pepsi ( last week it was over $7 for a slice and a msoda). I'm sorry to say the pizza wasn't much better. The crust was dry and the sauce tasted like it came from a can. please don't get me wrong I'm in no way a "foodie", but I like my pizza. Maybe I'm getting these places at the end of a long hard season and they are rapping things up. I hate give bad reviews and I love Boardwalk pizza. next year I'll try them earlier.

Steve S.

Yelp
Ordered a slice of Sicilian and was told they were out, but they could make one in 10 minutes. Long story short, 10 minutes later I was presented with a corner slice - my favorite! One slice was enough to fill me up. Nephew got the the Cheese Stake it was delicious! They have a twist on most pizzas - they put the sauce/gravy on top of the cheese.

Lindsay I.

Yelp
We stopped here for lunch after dipping our toes in the water. They easily accommodate large groups as we quickly sat our party of seven. We had a large pizza half cheese & half pepperoni and then a veggie pizza. It was loaded with veggies. The crust was crispy. 7 drinks & two pizzas for $71. Fast service and plenty of choices for drinks - Pepsi, Stewart & pure leaf.

Danielle G.

Yelp
Always great pizza and even better now that they offer gluten free. Dough is not the best gluten free that I have had but with the sauce and the cheese it is close enough to the Manco & Manco's that I remember.

Cory K.

Yelp
The best pizza on the Ocean City boardwalk, hands down! After 65 years Manco and Manco have this thin crust pizza down. Just enough spice in the sauce to give it flavor and just thick enough to hold, this us a master piece waiting to be enjoyed! Visit any location and you will find the same great pizza. At prime dining times there may be a wait, but it will be worth it! $19 for a while pie, you can't go wrong at the beach with this one!
