The building is very old. Small windows dark pine wood. Rooms are dark. Check in is easy. Personel is good. They wecome you with lots of smiles. I did not eat at the restourant so I don't know about it.

I went to Hotel Mandalya in May 2013 and it is what they advertise a family run, loved and tended hotel in a beautiful location different from the business of Bodrum. It was lovely and warm and sunny - the water warm and all the facilities beautiful tended, upgraded and clean. The gardens a joy with hibiscus, geraniums and lilies. Great home-cooked food with local fresh ingredients presented beautifully and tasting so good. The owners are involved, friendly and very helpful. They helped organise a local boat trip out from the hotel- came to pick us up which took us out to quiet bays and fed us a lovely fish lunch. Also had fun buying food and goods in a walk to local market, we were the only tourists there at that time of the year. There are other hotels along the seashore and it does look like it gets much busy in high season..for me I would prefer spring or autumn. Highly recommended. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Have been here with my family (my wife and my son at 12yo) and friends for the last five years in row. Bored? Never.... The owners are friendly, the food is ravishing, the sea is the best around Bodrum. This is why we don't look for any other alternative for the last years. Does not have a five star luxury but this cool hotel has all the other captivating points which do not allow you to forget your fantastic memories. Mandalya Hotel is the one I recommend to everyone who expect a 'nice holiday'.

I just got back from a week at the mandalya hotel.I had the BEST TIME! It is a small family run hotel and I think it caters to all kinds of guest , couples, families with children, or the older generation.The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable and it was nice and quiet in the rooms. There was a pool and a jetty over the sea to sunbathe on or swim off and gardens full of beautiful flowers (I saw a tiny hummingbird!) .the food was so tasty and fresh with lots of local food and choice.I am now FAT!The family, staff and guests at the hotel were so friendly. I travelled alone and they really made me feel welcome and at ease.The hotel is situated in a bay which you can walk along with other small hotels and is close to the town of Turkbuku where there is more nightlife and music if you want to party.I enjoyed this authentic Turkish experience with none of the usual brits abroad .I will be coming back next year and recommending to all my friends.I loved it.

Mandayla is a small and charming hotel with an amazing beach. Perfect for travellers with small children and pets. The rooms are cozy and are decorated in the traditional Bodrum-home style. ||The hosts are very friendly and always around for your special needs if you happen to have any.

Family run hotel with 20 rooms only. Clean, waterfront location, safe and very friendly staff. Sea is crystal clear. Private platform on the sea, with sun beds on top. Staff serves drinks and food menu, almost all daytime. Looking forward to visiting in 2014, again.

The only thing that was good about this place was its beach. The staff was terribly inexperienced. The rooms were old and smelly. The price was cheap but overall it was not worth it. I don't think this facility deserves its current rating on tripadvisor. Normally I would rate it as 2 stars for its beach but I am giving it only 1 star because of its undeserved high rating.

It is always hard to make everybody in the family happy, especially on holidays. Kids want to run around, elder ones like to sit down and chat, young ones like to sun bath, but everybody likes to be as lazy as possible..There should be big pillows to lay down, comfortable seats to sit under umbrellas, friendly staff should be running around, you should be able to ask your cold beer to the seaside...Mandalya is the place to be, dedication of the whole family to make people happy..Thank you very much for being so nice to all of us...
