Yelp
After returning from Europe, we were craving Chinese food so I did research on Yelp to find an Asian restaurant that offers authentic dishes.
For drinks, they had beer, wine, sake, cocktails, and Coca Cola beverages. I wasn't in the mood for an alcoholic beverage so I ordered a Shirley Temple.
For appetizers, we shared Crab Rangoon, Scallion Pancake, and Agedashi Tofu. The Crab Rangoon consisted of eight pieces of deep fried rangoon filled with cream cheese and imitation crabmeat, The rangoon's skin wasn't very crispy and the filling was cream cheese heavy. The Scallion Pancake consisted of crispy, flavorful, not too doughy pieces of dough stuffed with scallion. It was served with a sweet brown vinegar and scallion dipping sauce. The Agedashi Tofu consisted of deep fried, fresh bean curd served light tempura sauce and bonito flakes.
In between appetizers and entrees, we shared West Lake Soup, which consisted of a seasoned broth with minced beef, egg whites, scallion, and parsley. In addition to the soup, we shared two dinner entrees Crispy Walnut Shrimp and Sautéed Shanghai Bok Choy with Garlic. The Crispy Walnut Shrimp consisted of heavily battered butterfly shrimp topped with mayonnaise sauce, candied walnuts, and chilled canned pineapple chunks, and served with blanched broccoli. The Sautéed Shanghai Bok Choy with Garlic was just as how I would have expected it to be.
We were so full that there was no dessert in the horizon.
