Let me begin by saying I will absolutely come back here. With 4 whole floors of different products and experiences, it is no wonder why this place is alluring and gets tourists and M&M enthusiasts excited. For the entire family (or however your group's demographic), you could say this is a must among the activities in your itinerary. I personally like the fun music-making machine on the 2nd floor.
The location is somewhat centralized clustering with the Coca-Cola store, the Stranger Things store, and FlyOver Las Vegas, so you aren't traveling far for all these.
Here is the reason I am giving this place 2 stars (for now). On the 3rd floor, there is a section where you can customize your own bag of M&M candies. There are 3 kiosks available, and they give you a variety of choices in terms of text and/or graphics. The machine itself will stop you from continuing if what you enter is deemed inappropriate/vulgar/offensive/insensitive/etc., and there is a database for certain words, phrases, or combination of characters that are programmed to flag the system. And that makes sense, especially in a place where young kids who enjoy M&M candies can also read what they say, and most responsible parents and caretakers don't want to expose kids to that type of language.
Apparently, (and there wouldn't be any way to know ahead of time unless you purposely sought it out) they also actively restrict anything directly or indirectly associated with BTS. Even if you try to be slick and make the candies say something more discrete, they will likely catch on at that point and stop you from continuing. Some lady named Bernadette was being very adamant about this, and it took a separate associate to explain that it was a copyright issue. Deep down inside, I knew there was more to it that they didn't want to reveal. They did come off a bit rude in the process, but how could they not be? Whoever nailed down the point to treat BTS similarly to hate speech must have been absolutely serious about it. But hey, it's their house, not mine.
Parking: Two main options, neither of which are likely to be free. MGM Grand is free the first hour, but 1-4 hours is $15, 4-24 hours is $18. And that is kind if a far walk. Showcase mall parking is much closer, but it's $13 for up to 2 hours, then $16 for the rest of the day.
