Mandola's Italian Kitchen

I am a regular Mandola’s customer and usually visit the Bee Cave / Lakeway (BK) location, which is consistently excellent. Unfortunately, today I visited this location after a Costco run, and the experience was very disappointing. From the moment I walked in, the restaurant had a strange and unpleasant odor. The bathrooms also smelled off, which was concerning. I ordered the lasagna, a dish I know well and often enjoy at the Lakeway/BK location. This time, it was simply bad. The lasagna was undercooked and unappealing (photos attached). The bread was also terrible, hard and far from the fresh, soft bread Mandola’s is known for. We mentioned this to the manager, Drew, and a replacement was brought, but it was still not good. The main issue here is the food quality. Based on this experience, I do not recommend this location at all. If you want to enjoy Mandola’s as it should be, I strongly suggest going to the Bee Cave / Lakeway location, where the food and overall experience are consistently excellent.

Bland and overpriced. Plain alfredo and pasta was $16. Meatballs and marinara were acceptable but were not to the quality of a sit down resturant, 16oz drink was $3.5 Mostly self service. The alfredo, 3 meatballs and drink were $29 after tax and before a tip. Absolutely not worth if you care about flavor. Below basic fast-casual restaurant quality

Food is generally good. But this should NEVER happen! Won’t be back for a long time. Psychologically not possible. Share your opinion on what kind of hair this is???

I tried their Fettuccine Chicken Alfredo. The pasta was surprisingly very dry. I figured it would at least have a bit more sauce. The service was fairly quick. However, we were disappointed to learn that we could not enjoy the birthday cake we brought to celebrate. We are not from the area and had no where else to go. (Such as home or a hotel). We were passing through and trying out this Italian restaurant. I have never heard of an establishment refuse people to have birthday cake. Very disappointing, it completely turned our mood around.

Eggplant 🍆 Parmesan!!! Now that I have your attention, this restaurant is a great place to get "your pasta fix". Turn left just inside the restaurant and proceed to the counter to place your order. Put the number sign they give you at the order counter on the table of your choice, and a server will know where to bring your food. I recommend the Fried Calamari and Zucchini for an appetizer, the Eggplant 🍆 Parmesan or the Chicken 🐔 Piccata for an entree, and any of the gelatos for dessert (unless you are too stuffed to eat anything else 😁). Oh yeah, free bread with herbed olive oil arrives before any appetizer that you may have ordered. Lots of delicious desserts other than gelato are also available. Bathrooms are very clean.

First time here with my family. Food was great, way different than the usual “Italian” places. Service was quick and amazing. We got our bread, fried mozzarella and entrees, within reason. Lunette modo mio is the entree I ordered, definitely recommend it. Loved it. Fried mozzarella was some of the best I have ever had. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants Italian.

The food is absolutely incredible. Fresh bread and olive oil as soon as you sit down. It’s too bad it’s just so noisy and there’s nothing to absorb the sound especially in the back room. We would probably eat here a lot more if it not for the noise.

My wife and I love this place! The food is always fresh and tasty and seems to be prepared with great care. The staff is friendly and polite and seem to actually enjoy working there because they always provide service with a smile and cheery attitude. In addition, Mandola's has a clean and cozy atmosphere.
