25 Kid-Friendly Austin Restaurants That Aren’t Boring

"The massive Arbor Trails branch of this casual Italian favorite has a large patio just around the corner from the Arbor Trails mall playground. While there’s not a direct line of sight, it’s close enough to order food and drink, then watch the kids until dinner is served. The kids’ menu meals includes a scoop of gelato means makes this place a particular favorite for children, as does the small section of little tables available. The adults can grab discounted wine or a $4 draft beers on the happy hour between 3 and 6 p.m. on weekdays. Takeout and delivery orders can be placed online; there are indoor and outdoor dine-in services." - Erin Russell

The food is absolutely incredible. Fresh bread and olive oil as soon as you sit down. It’s too bad it’s just so noisy and there’s nothing to absorb the sound especially in the back room. We would probably eat here a lot more if it not for the noise.

Had an amazing dinner with my family! Everything was very clean and all staff were very nice! Everything is really yummy from appetizers to main meal and perfect to top off with a coffee or gelato! Both managers Maria and Sandra were walking around and making sure all costumers needs were met and that everything was tasting good. Really recommend if you are into pastas or pizza.

I tried their Fettuccine Chicken Alfredo. The pasta was surprisingly very dry. I figured it would at least have a bit more sauce. The service was fairly quick. However, we were disappointed to learn that we could not enjoy the birthday cake we brought to celebrate. We are not from the area and had no where else to go. (Such as home or a hotel). We were passing through and trying out this Italian restaurant. I have never heard of an establishment refuse people to have birthday cake. Very disappointing, it completely turned our mood around.

Great Italian food. I’m impressed since it’s a decent sized chain. The chicken Alfredo has good flavor. The baked ziti has a good tomato zing. The gelato is creamy. Prices are decent, little overpriced but you can share a plate with two people if you aren’t too hungry. For gluten free noodles, it’s not available for all pasta. The gluten free noodles are little dry and not as smooth and soak up much flavor as the regular.

Eggplant 🍆 Parmesan!!! Now that I have your attention, this restaurant is a great place to get "your pasta fix". Turn left just inside the restaurant and proceed to the counter to place your order. Put the number sign they give you at the order counter on the table of your choice, and a server will know where to bring your food. I recommend the Fried Calamari and Zucchini for an appetizer, the Eggplant 🍆 Parmesan or the Chicken 🐔 Piccata for an entree, and any of the gelatos for dessert (unless you are too stuffed to eat anything else 😁). Oh yeah, free bread with herbed olive oil arrives before any appetizer that you may have ordered. Lots of delicious desserts other than gelato are also available. Bathrooms are very clean.

First time here with my family. Food was great, way different than the usual “Italian” places. Service was quick and amazing. We got our bread, fried mozzarella and entrees, within reason. Lunette modo mio is the entree I ordered, definitely recommend it. Loved it. Fried mozzarella was some of the best I have ever had. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants Italian.

Normally the food is great, however thus time around it was awful. The pasta was so dry my son thought it was butterd noodles not fettuccine Alfredo and I also didn't get a stitch of sauce on my chicken mind u it's only served 1 time a week and if there busy sometimes I wait weeks to go in and grab a table today was my sons bday and that's the 1st place we wanted. Waisted 90 dollars today

Food is delicious! Recently they added dish: grilled salmon with vegetables. I enjoyed it so much, since I can’t have gluten, and my family usually eats pizza or pasta there. House wine is worthy to try, as well as coffee. This place often very crowded and because of this very noisy. On Mother’s Day line to order food was very long, but after we ordered , we have waited very short amount of time. They served our dishes, super quickly. We were pleasantly surprised! For the celebrations, the kitchen works really fast, and quality is still good.
