Clubstaurant Mandrake Is Miami’s Most Over-the-Top New Spot | Eater Miami

"I visited the 5,000-square-foot Mandrake at 210 23rd Street, the latest clubstaurant from the team behind Miami River’s Kiki on the River. A life-size gold gorilla greets guests at the main bar while teal subway tiles and neon Chinese phrases line the wall; a hallway clad in vintage Chinese wooden gates with Japanese cherry blossom branches overhead leads to the main dining room hidden behind velvet drapes. Inside, Christian Lacroix-upholstered chairs surround an oversized faux rhino head sculpture emblazoned with the phrase “Me So Horny,” and a mural by Juan Rozas rounds out the space. The Asian-inspired menu includes sushi and Izakaya-style plates like shrimp and scallop wontons and duck gyoza, while larger dishes include whole fish tempura and a 32-ounce ribeye steak. To drink, there are sakes by the glass and bottle, a selection of Japanese beers, and wine by the glass or bottle, and the cocktail program pays homage to hip-hop with named cocktails such as the Future Hendricks and the Meek Dills. Mandrake is open for dinner Monday to Saturday from 6 p.m. to midnight; for reservations call 305-397-8036." - Olee Fowler

From the moment I walked in the service was immaculate, the door guy (Carlos) extremely friendly and professional felt very welcomed as walking in, the hostess was very attentive and helpful on getting me the perfect table and having my first experience being happy and welcoming ! She even got me a free drink on the house and gave me advice on what to order from the menu :) my waiter Pablo was very much attentive and creative talker he made me feel comfortable and relaxed knowing what to order he even made me my first drink and went back and fwrd on getting me the ingredients I asked for to make a pisco sour ! The food was good. I wouldn’t say 5* but definitely 3.5* if possible. The buns I ordered braised beef and pork , the beef was delicious the pork was so bad I returned it , my server took care of it. It was very chewy and seemed not fresh at all! The salmon sake nigiri was yummy the rice was a little cold and like super sticky but overall still tasty and fresh fish the rice could of been old . Okay now the salmon tacos was my favorite! The actual drinks was not my vibe it felt like the bartender didn’t have much experience I ordered the pisco and it was made with ice and very foamy , the lychee martini was so strong!! I couldn’t even drink it it was flavorless just strong, I would come back for the ambiance, service , and maybe to try more food no drinks though.

Disclaimer: THIS PLACE IS PRICEY. However the food was phenomenal and the cocktails were amazing. Our server Susie was on point all night and very personable. Would return after saving another $250 for the visit lol

Google
Beautifully decorated restaurant with high energy entertainment and great music! My girlfriends and I had a blast at mandrake, I definitely recommend this place They offered a one-woman burlesque show that night which was SO fun to watch and they also offer shisha options. Their food was not the best i’ve had considering the prices but it was well presented

Ambiance, service and experience is great. The food is not so much. Lots of sauces cover up the flavor profile of the dishes.

Google
I was very impressed with the utilization of the space for this swanky Japanese spot . The food was amazing and so were the drinks all very unique to my liking . I also visited the patio area was very beautiful and live . Food came out hot which is hard to come by nowadays . I can’t wait to visit again and try something new . I hope this location stays open for a long time

Amazing place! Came here for my friends birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. Great service, food and ambiance. The definition of a Miami restaurant with great music. The appetizers are so good !

First time I came to this restaurant was about 3 years ago 2019 and it was awesome. I was recently here and it was horrible. The service was horrific. Our waitress was super nice but they didn’t have most of the drinks at the menu. It got to a point that we told her to just bring us what they had. The food was good but it took forever to the point that they gave us complementary shots. At this point I was thinking about writing a review but it was until I went to the bathroom that I decided to post a review and pictures of how disgusting the bathroom was. (See pictures here attached.) I was extremely disappointed and I wouldn’t recommend this place again. There are other better places in Miami at this moment than Mandrake.

Google
Many of the comments here state the same thing, but in all honesty, you should save your money and go Anywhere else. We made a reservation for 6 people at 7:15pm on a Saturday. We were the Only patrons in the whole restaurant until almost 9pm, so how hard is it to give us excellent service? We ordered many dinner items, but they were out of several items on the menu, no problem, but also several of the items that they did have, and we ordered never came to the table. We asked for their best desserts because we were celebrating a birthday, and our waiter said they only had a cheesecake and a lava cake, the cheesecake arrived cut in half 🤦🏻‍♀️ we have seen plenty of other desserts that they post online, so I guess they were out as well? The drinks started out right, when we first arrived and ordered them directly from the bartender (she was great) but the quality terribly went down when we ordered them through our waiter. We spent about $200 at the bar, and about $600 at the dinner table, because they also include an undeserved 22% mandatory tip, when the service was subpar. At around 9pm, other patrons finally started arriving, but the restaurant was still nowhere even half way full, and we asked our waiter Sean what time was the show going to start, he said should be around 9:30pm, but if we wanted to stay at our table for the show, we would have to also purchase a bottle, we couldn’t just keep on ordering drinks… we were infuriated, after spending about $800. The only reason we didn’t order a bottle to begin with, is because it was 6 of us, and we all wanted to drink different things. Needless to say, we asked for the bill and left, none of us will be Ever coming back. As I said, you’re better off literally going anywhere else.

Yelp
Mandrake is a cool spot to check out. There's a cute phone by the front bar for the perfect insta picture. There's also a stripper pole next to it. The cute neon sign is where everyone eats. The performers are entertaining and full of energy. The music was good and the food was better. I had edamame and sushi. The presentation of the sushi was A1 in a cute boat.

Yelp
food is decent, not anything crazy. the place is beautiful, definitely more of a picture place than anything. service is lackluster. never got my water filled, food was only okay. tastes fine, no nuances or anything so if you're looking for a more elevated experience i don't think this is the place.

Yelp
Heard nothing but great things so wanted to give it a try for my Anniversary dinner. walking in the place is really nice and within the theme but extremely dark inside. We sat down for 30 minutes until our server greeted us which turned out to be the hostess. She was really nice and did apologize for the wait, she had amazing recommendations. Heads up your voice will be done for from how loud the music it, but it's does come with a show. I started off with the Sake to Me which is a lychee drink and it was delicious, so I had to get another one lol. We ordered the Mandrake roll as an appetizer but came after we finished our dinner. The roll was wasn't I expected but it was extremely overrated, can definitely can get better at Blue ginger. I loved the skirt steak, it was cooked BEAUTIFULLY. You can see from the picture! The bill wasn't too bad but 22% tip is automatically included which is crazy. They don't have valet parking but a nearby parking garage which is two blocks away.

Yelp
This place has amazing decor and is influencer worthy for pics. They have a lot of entertainment varying from a magician to a flame eating girl to a Chinese dragon. Despite the entertainment and decor the menu doesn't have a lot to choose from. I went for a Bach and most of the girls in the bachelorette party got the fried rice. It was not good. Pretty dry and meh. Most of us didn't like it but we were too hungry to find something else. Some of the apps were good though. Service was also not the best. This seems like a fun date spot for just drinks and entertainment or like a pregame sitch with a group.

Yelp
This restaurant is very Instagram/Tik Tok appropriate. Other than that I wasn't impressed. The doorman was very polite and professional, gave us a nice welcome (once we said we had reservations). The hostess was welcoming as well, sat us right away. After that was when it went downhill. We waited a little over 30 minutes to be acknowledged after that, despite making eye contact with several staff and being right next to the bar where apparently the waitstaff hang out near. Finally, the hostess noticed us and asked if we had been seen yet, which we hadn't. Finally the sever comes over and says even though "they" already gave her a bunch of tables she'll serve us. Huh? What does that have to do with us? Anyway, moving forward, we place our food and drink orders. Meanwhile we're trying to enjoy the show (dancer that day) but the staff are enjoying standing around watching it blocking our view. And the guy recording (maybe the Social Media Coordinator for the restaurant) is following her so we really can't see at all. Luckily the food was actually good. We only ordered two sushi rolls and the garlic ginger rice (no garlic taste). The drink we ordered was a waste but I don't recall the name. Now for the part that makes me not want to recommend this place to others. The waitress we had was charming although she was full of it, but her charm is probably how she got hired. As we were waiting for stuff (never got a water refill) she was dancing the night away in the corner of the bar with the other staff. I'm all for enjoying yourself but please serve your paying guests simultaneously. Time to close out the bill. I'm not from Miami but have noticed all the restaurants have the "service charge" included. Google search has mixed opinions on whether the service charge is the tip/gratuity or not. I'm naturally a tipper so I confirmed with our server before I inserted my card into her card reader that the tip was included. Her whole attitude changed and she said it wasn't. Then she proceeded to over explain how she has to split the tip with whoever. I don't need to return to this restaurant or recommend it to others.

Yelp
Went for a party, was excited to have some hookah till they stated it was $120 for a hookah pipe, yeah okay. nice try.

Yelp
They recently reopened after covid. Made reservations online, greeted at the front desk. First impression, BEAUTIFUL LAYOUT. Sexy and intimate vibe. My rating for the food Appetizer 3/5 Sushi 3/5 Cocktails 5/5 Atmosphere 5/5 Service 4/5 We came during the week so there wasn't a crowd. They are known for the lounge and hookah on the weekends. They also have private events and special guests. I hope they do well moving so forth! It's a beautiful spot. Will come back during the weekend!

Yelp
The food wasn't bad. They seated us next to the kitchen. We literally saw a rat coming out of the kitchen. We asked for the manager, a lady responded "manager isn't here, but I guess I can be the manager today" we told her we just saw a rat coming from the kitchen, she gasped and said "oh, no!" Which was an extremely fake reaction as if they're used to it. We asked to leave right away they give gave us a discount even though the whole bill should've been compensated god knows what that rat was doing to the food in the kitchen. They brought us some shots to "forget" and they were joking about it as if this is not the first time this happens. It made sense why there were so many empty tables in the restaurant.

Yelp
My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary this Friday. We made reservations for 7:15 , right when it opens. We now know to reserve for later in the night. We had to wait on many occasions for our table, food, etc. Normally in this case we'd end the night with a bad taste in our mouth. But, Hannah the floor manager saved our night and made it worth the troubles. Hannah , the floor manager, recognized every time they forgot our food and always jumped in to make sure things got done. She brought us some food on the house for our troubles. Overall, Hannah was the reason we left with a smile and a good impression overall. I highly recommend the wagyu fried rice and Mandrake roll. The food was good overall, but some things were over priced for the quality.
google avatar

Enrique O.

Yelp
Our waiter Cathy was great and she's the only reason I'm not saying much else about service. Only thing is that the food was highly overpriced and not worth it. I've had better chaufa from a food truck.. and btw if you're planning on going for any bday celebrations, make sure you know that there is a $150 dollar fee just to sing you happy bday... lol

Yelp
MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT EVER!!!! It's decorations, food, and drinks were out of this world. The service was good. We went for my boyfriends birthday and the staff came singing with signs and sparklers which made it even more fun. The drinks were strong but mixed very well and the food was perfectly cooked (raw and cooked at the perfect temperature). The entertainment was fun to watch and honestly I was super surprised and not at all expected to enjoy it as much as I did. I recommend! There's also a bathroom attendant which I thought was a nice touch to the organization aspect of it. Music was fun and they also have hookah for those interested at an additional charge.

Yelp
They sat us at a table where water was dripping from the roof. When we brought the leaky roof to their attention, they moved us to another table and sat another group at our previous table. When they began to review the menu with us, more than half of the items on the menu were not available. In addition to that, our server seemed annoyed from the time she walked us to the first table. The ambiance is beautiful, but my experience wasn't a good one.

Yelp
Great food and good service! If you like French Asian fusion this is a good place Dinner party atmosphere

Yelp
This place is an absolute scam. We went here yesterday evening for NYE 2023 and prepaid $1000 for 5 people. The prepaid package stated that it included all taxes, service charges, and fees. We ordered a total of 8 cocktails, but were charged an outrageous $448.02 at the end of the night. This included a fake fee of $186 that was simply listed as "New Years" (we literally witnessed our waiter input this into the POS separately). He thought he could take advantage of my mother, who is a foreigner and could not understand the BS terms he spewed out. Mandrake is not an honest business. At the end of the day, it is the establishment's fault for not teaching their staff to treat customers with integrity. Whilst it may seem glamorous in the photos, this is a shady business that will try to take advantage of their guests. Do not even consider going here.

Yelp
I enjoyed the restaurant a lot! We decided on it last minute and the staff was very accommodating. We def got there after the shows but the DJ was great - beautiful people, our waiter and food runners were sweet too. The bar is busy and some drinks took a while but the food is phenomenal. We had the strip steak, shrimp fried rice and both were some of the best dishes i've had in a long time. Mandrake is def worth the visit!

We had dinner and it was the best. Our server was amazing and did an excellent job of suggesting different dishes. Food was amazing and service Outsatnding. As the evening progress, so did the Atmospher which turn out to be alot of sun. Not unexpensive but worth it. Try it and enjoy

Yelp
This place took me by surprise. The decor is what originally drew me in, but the food and presentation exceeded my expectations. I was not disappointed by any part of my experience, made for a great date night. Maybe be three stars on yelp, but Michelin in my heart.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night reservations at 9:30pm. Got here on time for the grace period at 9:45pm. I waited around 15 minutes. I was expecting to be seated inside but they said the main room was reserved and gave me the option of sitting in the front room or in the patio I told her I was okay with sitting in the front room and then she said I would need to wait more even though it was empty ay that point we were hungry so we sat at the patio there was a big fan so we were not that hot and luckily it stops raining. we we're greeted by our server susie. She was attentive and nice. I should've read the reviews before coming because they said they had this problem with waiting for a table. We ordered a lychee martini which wasn't strong at all and was in the worlds smallest cup!! The main entree menu consists of 5 things. We got the wagyu steak I ordered it medium well and as you can see in the picture it was medium RARE. The steak was tasteless. Moving on.... We got the wagyu rice was okay.. the rice tasted a little old. The steak was a good temperature. My boyfriend chicken was okay too pretty tasteless the little sauce they put made it more delightful. The ambiance is nice here, the decor is beautiful and is what really makes this place. They should really think of adding more appealing appetizers and more choices for the entrees. Overall out of 5 I'd rate this place a 2. Out of 10 a 5. Won't come here again. Wasn't worth the price! They charged $20 for WATER. I hate places that do this. That's a basic thing they should offer without charging!!

Yelp
Saw this restaurant all over social media super nice layout inside nice staffs and great service there's no valet that sucks and the restroom is located on the outside of the restaurant The food was super good the dessert was a passion fruit cheesecake is too die for we order the empanadas super good the dumplings were amazing and a sushi roll If you are in the area come check out this place .

Yelp
Not sure about the negative reviews, we came in for dinner on Wednesday night and were that impressed we came back on Friday for drinks (we were only in Miami four nights). Fit out is amazing they have obviously spent a lot of money to get this place looking great. It is a bit eclectic in that there are two dining areas a large outdoor area and a penthouse lounge/bar. It's a little like TAO Group concepts that are high energy dinner come club, but if you can get into the front dining area it is more intimate and not as busy. Service was amazing both nights from all staff. On Wednesday the young lady serving us was awesome, we got into a good conversation and eventually the GM came over. He gave us a tour of the premises after dinner and went above and beyond. It seemed he did this or something similar with a lot of the tables that were seated. We ended up staying after dinner and sat at the bar with Carolina. She was absolutely amazing and the real reason we came back on Friday. Friday was a different scene as the place was packed. We sat at the back bar and tried pretty much teh whole cocktail menu and some hookah, both were amazing and again Carolina was a star. Will definitely be back each time we come to Miami!

Sabrina G.

Yelp
Worst service ever! Do not recommend. Waited an hour and half for half of my parties food. Had to ask for a refill on drinks 3 times. Another overhyped Miami place....

Aimee L.

Yelp
Really nice intimate yet tropical contemporary theme. Hector, our bartender was AMAZING. He is a true mixologist! Hand crafted drinks based on our preferences. The lychee martini from their craft cocktail was to die for we had two rounds of those. He truly was the highlight of our night.

Yelp
The good was pretty good I ordered lemon drops for drinks the California roll for an app and salmon for the main course all and all the food was good the drinks are a little bit pricey hell the food is too California roll $23 the salmon $42 the lemon drops the server tried to get me for the $75 one I told her hell no add grey goose please. They don't give you full plates for the main course I feel like I could have got more rice and a side of some type of vegetables for $42.The service was good tho fast quick and accurate they sell hookah also for $150 the Ambiance is beautiful it's definitely a vibe they also have a little show a throughout dinner that was fun and a live DJ.

Yelp
Attempted to dine at Mandrake but it wasn't written in the stars. My party was one of 4 parties in the entire restaurant yet we weren't even greeted by the waiter or anyone. There were 2 girls upfront, at least 2 bus boys, and 6 waiters. We waited 12+ mins at our table before getting up and leaving. Service is deplorable.
google avatar

Raveena G.

Yelp
Overpriced, rude staff, extremely long waits but a fun ambiance with picture worthy decor. We had a fairly large group with a 10:30 pm reservation, however we weren't seated until 11:45 pm. We tried to order right away but the last meal did not arrive to the table until after 1 am. Probably a tactic to spend money at the bar. Several meat meals were not cooked to the desired temperature as discussed when ordered and staff tried to contest the complaints. Food was very average, not worth the wait or money.

Yelp
Last night, I went to the Mandrake for drinks with a good friend and we had a great experience. I ended up having the fried rice with crab as a small appetizer. I'm giving this place 3 stars because my pork belly appetizer came out after I received the check. The waitress failed to bring out my appetizer and was so annoyed that I no longer wanted it on my check that she gave the appetizer to the table next to me. It was extremely rude and uncalled for behavior, given the fact that she failed to provide adequate service. Nonetheless, there are great vibes throughout this place. I took lots of pictures and there were plenty of other servers that stepped in to pick up the slack. Drinks: Delicious. Nice and strong. Beautiful presentation. Ambiance: Perfect. Photo and Video ops throughout the venue. The music was on point! The dragon show was cute. Food: Tasty. However, this isn't the place you'd come to if you're starving, unless you don't mind ordering multiple plates. Portions are small.

Yelp
I came here with a group of 10 for a birthday dinner and it was very extravagant. The decorations are seriously breath taking. We got a table outside and service was great. Definitely a place you want to show up a bit dressed up. Casual is not the appropriate attire here. I ordered the Alaskan king crab and uni inaniwa noodles. It was pretty good but I found it a bit too salty which completely overshadowed the taste of uni. It really mostly tasted like the crab. At the end of our meal, the birthday girl was surprised with a chocolate mousse dessert with sparkles and two life savers hahaha. It was a very cute experience. Overall the food was okay, but this place is definitely not worth the price. My friends were not a big fan of their drinks. They ordered the same drink and each tasted different from each other in terms of alcohol content. What you are paying for is really the decorations, vibe, and experience. If they knocked the price down a bit, I would say it's worth it. Otherwise, I probably won't be coming back.

Yelp
HORRIBLE!! HORRIBLE!!! HORRIBLE!!! We waited 1 hour for food and 1 hour for drinks. Our waiter was the worse! The manager was very rude and didn't try to rectify the situation. Instead he sent his cheapest bottle of champagne to the table, thinking that our party would've accepted it. We kindly rejected it. When it was time to pay the waiter took 45 minutes to process our cards and bring them back to our table. What a shame, it's a beautiful restaurant with many untrained staff. Management could use some training as well because customers service is nonexistent. We will not be returning to this restaurant!

Yelp
Mandrake was absolutely stunning!!! As soon as you walk in you no longer feel like you're in Miami as you experience their Chinese tea garden with lush greenery. The only hiccup of the night was that even though I made a reservation ahead of time, our table wasn't ready. The manager directed us to the bar for a free round of drinks for the inconvenience. As soon as we were seated it was an experience, from the live music, to the Chinese parade with dragons and the whole atmosphere around us. The restaurant is dimly lit and decorated so nicely. I started off with the popular "Mandrake drink" which was the perfect mixture or sour/sweet and full of flavor. Me and my friends ordered the shrimp and enoki pad thai, beef tenderloin, pork belly, grilled asparagus, potatoes, seafood dumpling and a seafood tempura roll. My faves of the night were the pork belly because it was cooked to perfection, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The beef tenderloin was amazing, filled with so many different spices and herbs. The service was slow at times but our waiter made up for it with his big smile and great costumer service! I would definitely recommend Mandrake for date night, girls night or a special celebration. They have enough space to host any type of crowd.

Yelp
Took half an hour to get drinks, the hookah we ordered never came and twice we had to ask for a server to come to take our food. The food we got wasn't that great and took quite a while to come out. Overall the service was terrible, the music was so loud you couldn't hear a person next to you, and the price was way too high for the level of professionalism not on display.

Yelp
The girl and I hit Mandrake last week for the 40th birthday of one. Well, you know South Beach Stay At Home Mums...whew. Happy to be out and on fire. The restaurant was live by the time we got there and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. As locals are aware, Whole Foods can be a scene let alone a trendy dinner spot. Mandrake did not disappoint on this evening. This space has seen several other projects in the past several years...I have to say that I love what Mandrake has done with it. As with Kiki (it's sister spot), Mandrake's design is super engaging and kind of psychedelic. Both the inside and the courtyard are sort of plush and rich with color. Vibrant. And sexy. Well as is apropos on a Saturday night everyone was happy to be seen and in the scene, our 5Some included. Our server was the fantastic Rudy. He was attentive, friendly, warm and just overall cool throughout the evening. Our crew is a blend of meat eaters and veggies, so we enjoyed a real variety of goods. the girls ordered several sushi plates including the gorgeous sushi platter. We also added on the Butter Lettuce Salad, Mixed Veggies and the Asparagus side. A real table favorite was the Eggplant Shishito dish. That sucker was DELICIOUS. We ordered a coupla more of those! As expected the music was on point and every now and then big ole Birthday brigades(including ours!) would appear with fog, horns and overall hotness again reminiscent of Kiki. The only mistake we made was cashing out and leaving too soon!

Yelp
Love this spot ! Very cozy.. intimate vibe and cute decor. Upstairs is like a lounge where you party all night long. Their food is consider small plates so don't expect to be full after ordering several plates. I like their drinks. I think this is one of my favorite restaurants

Yelp
Visited on 11/04/2022 - First time coming to Mandrake for a birthday dinner and the ambience is amazing beautifully lit and decorated establishment with charm and character. However the service was lackluster to say the least our server was very disorganized with taking the tables order leading everyone to get their foods at different times and more times often than not he could be see having more fun when bottles came out rather then tending to his guest. Aside from that the food was ok nothing really special about it, it was however plated beautifully and made for some great pictures. Was it worth the price maybe not but the experience of eating with a live strip show makes you forget about that. Lastly and most importantly me and several of my group observed a flying palmetto bug aka a roach inside the establishment watched it fly around to land on the cloth seats and eventually make its way inside the seat into the wood part. Also when going outside to take pictures by the swing witnessed 3-4 mouse's running around the outside area. Mandrake wasn't a bad time at all honestly was a fun experience and would recommend trying it at least once, however once is all i needed.

Yelp
The food was great but the service was terrible. The staff were very "indifferent" to myself & my family. I went last night for my birthday dinner but the tone & the treatment by the staff was horrible & I believe it was because of our race. Ex: They have an amazing outdoor space to take pictures & they have a preferred door to go out of to the area. A staff went through another door to the area to tell me I looked nice & wish a happy birthday, a waitress then came outside to tell me she "Told me not to use the other door" when I never did. I sent my drink back because I didn't like it & waited over an hour for the new one. I was asked did I have reservations at the door before being let in, when the people in front of me (of a different race) were let in immediately. Although it wasn't overt, the way I was made to feel is extremely off putting & that would be why I would never go there again.

Yelp
Horrible ! Horrible ! Horrible ! This place is laughably bad . Incredibly disorganized . Staff is rude . You would think that they would have some semblance of professionalism if they make you wait 2 hours to be seated with a reservation . But sadly it's not true .. they walked us to our table after waiting 2 hours just to be put right next to the bar . Which is 2 rooms away for the dining area. The hostess repeatedly told us she is getting the table ready for us and then ran off ... this continued for an hour and a half ... everyone is stuffed by the bar awaiting tables everyone is frustrated . I dont understand how this place would even have a decent reputation . Take my advice and stay away

Yelp
I am so disappointed with my experience at Mandrake Miami and I still can't believe it. The pictures look amazing and the reviews were positive, but I am shocked. Mandrake Miami gets 2 stars from me because the food was so mediocre. When a restaurant boasts as much as they do about their food and atmosphere and doesn't come through, there's more on the line. Most of Mandrake's rating for me comes from their decor. Absolutely gorgeous and true to the pictures that I saw. The indoor and a outdoor area are unique and every time I looked around I found something new. Gorgeous place. I ordered the Mandrake drink which was cute and tasted really good. After that, I ordered the lobster Maine rice and the self-titled Mandrake roll. The fried rice literally tasted like any run of the mill, takeout restaurant fried rice. It tasted like it was warmed up in the microwave and the lobster was thrown in at the end. The Mandrake roll was alright but it didn't taste like anything. It lacked flavor. Mandrake Miami is extremely overpriced for what they're offering, and it's not worth the bill. They automatically add in a service charge. Which, doesn't really bother me because the server was nice. This place is nice to see and feels really exclusive but not worth the price. Wouldn't recommend to anyone who didn't want more than a photo and a few drinks here.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere the drinks were great and so was the food. The show was really entertaining. It was a little loud for my personal taste but I had a great time
