Manero

"A unique restaurant that has recreated the ambience of a traditional grocery store, where you can enjoy delicate tapas, Iberian hams, salted dishes, high-quality tinned products and even seafood, many of which are packaged ready to take away." - Michelin Inspector

A beautifully appointed upmarket restaurant and bar. Tried to book online but too late. Went there anyway and was lucky enough to be seated at high tables by the entrance. Despite not being in the main part of the restaurant the service was excellent; friendly and attentive, with great food and wine recommendations. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. By far our most expensive meal in Alicante but also our most memorable experience.

I’m glad I went to Manero, but it’s not a place I’ll be returning to. The service and ambiance were amazing, but the prices of the food for what you get don’t make sense. A friend and I shared some shrimps, tuna tartar, and garbanzos con espinacas— we paid 50€ per person and I left hungry. I’m glad that the waiter mentioned the shrimps were local. A worthwhile visit if you’re looking to splash out and have a bit of a fancy night, but otherwise you can skip it.

Upscale, creative, and with an extensive menu of options! Really lovely for a quick drink and small snack for happy hour. We were able to walk-in at 8 pm on a Friday and get a seat at the bar.

Stopped by at the dinner hour without a reservation and was given a table outside on the quiet side street - which was excellent. The food is delectable. The service, polished. The Maneto Negroni is inspired and much too easy to drink. I recommend highly.

When I stayed in Alicante, went three nights in a row to Manero. The staff is helpful and friendly. I haven’t booked never waited longer than 10 minutes to get seated. Surprisingly it has a champagne bar in the back of the restaurant.

Wow. Everything was very delicious. They recently being awarded with a Michelin recommendation, which usually is not a good sign for me. Impossible to find availability, tiny portions etc., turns out I am anti- Michelin, usually ending up at a fast food kiosk afterwards. I love a perfect bite, but I want more of those bites, not 1. Anyways, without any booking, we walked in and managed to get seats at the bar, can’t complain. We like Oysters, so ordered half a dozen. One of the best we’ve ever had. Mussels were canned and cold served, but tasty. Razor clams, great sauce and torched, again tasty. We finished off with Arroz, paella style but more juicy, can’t really say we loved the proteins in it, but it tasted good. A great atmosphere. Great music, 80s & 90s pop and rock ballads. Everyone smiles. Our waitress /barmaid Valeria, she was very attentive behind the bar. And finding Anis drink in the menu and savoring with this food made it an unforgettable experience for me. You’ll thank me later

Really nice decorated restaurant. Food is very tasteful! And the atmosphere is 10/10. We made a reservation in advance to secure a table.

Excellent traditional food. We tried the tapas and had some amazing cocktails. Definitely worth visiting.
