11 Places to Explore in Aruba | Eater

"If it’s snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, or shore diving you’re after, you’re in luck; the breathtaking waters of Mangel Halto are awash in seclusion, shade, and shallow waters. Surrounded by mangroves and teeming with sea life, you may spot an eel, sea snake, turtle, or one of many species of fish on a quick dip into the water. Bring water shoes, as the shoreline is a bit rocky, and stay for the sunset — the view is sublime." - Marie Elena Martinez

Our favorite beach in Aruba. The mangroves offer shaded spots you can sit in or leave your stuff to go swimming. The tide is gentle for the most part and the beach is expansive. There are some rocky parts and sandy parts as opposed to only rock beaches on some of the Aruban coast.

This beach contains majority of the scenic steps that enter the ocean. Beach also doesn't get too deep. Great for people who cant swim well and even better for children.

Honestly, I found the Mangrove boring. Follow the road and go to this place in the photo. Some people just visit the mangrove and leave. This place in the photo is beautiful! One of the best places in Aruba to take photos. We walked through the mangrove. I fell in love.

Loved it!! 😍 This is an interesting, incredible beach. Please know that there are two parts to this beach. One part has no landing beach area but has staircases to allow you into the water but if you either walk or drive to farther down the beach, you'll see a small building and a path that descends down to an area with about six palapasand a before of smooth rocks in an ankle-shallowpool of moving water that is absolutely 💯 % clear. You feel as if you are walking out into the ocean while small fish visit your ankles in the water. I actually laid down in the water and almost fell asleep while the calming waters eased by my body. Soothing, relaxing and the very best part....very few people are there! My speed and my style...enjoy before the secret is out of the bag!

Absolutely beautiful!! Easy access to snorkeling. Water is shallow, warm and very, very calm. Lots of birds and fishes. Perfect for little ones.

Best snorkeling on Aruba! Fun fact: the little grass-topped stand are called palapas and are free to use (1st come, 1st served) throughout Aruba as all beaches are considered public property.

Stunning beach. Good snorkeling. Off the beaten path.

Love this beach, very nice quiet and not very crowded. most tourists will not go here because there are not places to rent beach chairs and no sand. I think it’s a perfect place to snorkel and enjoy the beautiful water
