5 stars with some reservation. I ordered the chicken alfredo pasta (pictured) to go. Good amount of sauce (some may think too much, but I like it saucy as long as it tastes good). That's a go to dish for me and most places have a generic boring sauce, this place didn't. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't amazeballs, but it's better than most I've had in Omaha. The reservation of the 5 star is just based on a few factors...the inside is a bit weird. From what I understand, you order your food at the counter then go sit down, so ask how it works if you plan on eating there. The parking is literally right off the street, so if you get a huge truck on one side, vision is bad when backing up. It's not quick food, but that isn't a bad thing at all, just be prepared. Service was good, they seemed nice. OH, and just pay attention to the days they are closed. Looks like every Sunday and Monday they are closed. Again, not a bad thing, just be aware.

Big portions for a good price! Order and pay at the counter and then find your seat. The place is small but also has patio seating. We enjoyed the oven baked chicken fettuccine Alfredo and the lasagna. The Sugo sauce is a good mix of sweet and tangy.

Google
Great food! Who only ever had carry out, so I can't comment on the atmosphere. My husband and I each get a different spaghetti sauce and split them. Meatballs are delicious! I've never had a bad meal. Service on phone and in drive through is friendly and professional.

Google
Absolutely perfect Italian food. My 1st experience was at an event which was catered by Mangia Italia, and it was incredible. My next experience was with 5 people, all ordering different things and appetizers, and every item was delicious. The staff is overly helpful and patient with new people on what they should order, answering all of our questions and explaining each item we asked about. I loved everything about this restaurant, and I highly recommend you try it.

I have been meaning to try this place for years and finally did! I arrived around 1130 on a Saturday and there was plenty of parking. (It's a small lot) When I went inside it was very small & I did not see any seating so thought it was take out only, but one of the girls behind the counter asked if anyone in line was dinning in and gave us menus and directed us to where the seating was. It is a very small dinning area - one table for 6, 4 tables of 4, and then 2 booths (maybe 3) that could hold 4-8 depending on size and comfort of how close you want to be to others in your group. (Tables cannot be moved together to accommodate larger groups due to fire code! Don't be mad at the nice staff for this) There is also an outdoor area, but I did not venture there due to it being cold, but from inside it looked pretty! The food did not take too long at all to receive. The appetizers were huge and nothing short of amazing! I got the bruschetta and spinach artichoke dip...this was a lot for 2 & half ended up coming home. For the main meals, bow tie pesto with a meatball side and bow tie chicken marinara. Again....both of these meals were amazing! I loved that the chicken was cut up in bite sized pieces in my meal and not a big hunk or large slices. The meatball on the side was huge! Staff was extremely kind, polite, and friendly. I highly recommend this place - even if it's just take out, you will be impressed and enjoy it just as much!!

Google
First time eating here (08-10-2024) Food was excellent! I recommend the meat lasagna and the pizza they were both excellent. The house salad had a mixture of different lettuces which was weird to me. BEWARE: If you order the vanilla cannoli's there’s chocolate chips in them but they don’t mention that there’s chocolate chips on the menu. What if I was allergic to chocolate? How I know is I took a bite and could taste chocolate. I asked the waitress if there were chocolate chips in there and she said yes. I said I ordered vanilla though and she seemed not to care about getting me another one with just vanilla. I get kind of sick eating chocolate. (Please see pictures below of menu not mentioning about the chocolate chips)

Google
Food was very good, maybe not the best but it was well worth the value. No beef only options, all "meat" options are mixed beef and pork. They do however have chicken which I got and was very good. People at the counter were rushed and I experienced not even knowing what was on the menu. In house diners have to seat themselves and order at the counter. They had one server for the whole place and he tried his best but on a busy night he was overwhelmed. Lastly atmosphere on a busy night is loud, and crowded and rushed. With self ordering there is lots of customers and employees all navigating a narrow foot path and echoing walls make it very hard to hear conversation even at your own table. In summary order out and eat in the peace of your own home food is very good.

Google
This was my first time here. I ordered the combo pizza and it was fantastic. I’ve had great pizza before, but this place was amazing. The best pizza I’ve ever had. My partner had the garlic shrimp linguine. He said it too was great. I would highly recommend this place. I see why it was so busy. if you have a great product, people will keep coming back. I know I will be back.

Yelp
I used to work down the road from this restaurant. It was a go to for my coworkers and I for lunch. They used to have a phenomenal lunch special, unfortunately they have had to raise their prices but it's still reasonable. The staff is always friendly and attentive and the inside has some cozy seating and they have a lovely outdoor patio. The pizza is very good and the Chicken Alfredo and Super Buffalo are very popular favorites.

Yelp
I'm always on the hunt for a good gluten free pizza, and this place nailed it. I knew they were famous for their pizzas, but who knew that the gluten free crust would be so amazing! It was sturdy, crispy, chewy, and soft. It did not fall apart or get too soggy. The bottom of the crust was delightfully crispy. The gluten free crust only comes in 10", but that's okay, because then I get the whole thing to myself. The cheese was fresh and the sauce was full-flavored. I added beef and they were plenty generous. We ordered to-go for a party of 6; the food was hot and on time. They did not miss any items on the order. Everyone loved the great pizza!!

Yelp
Our first here. Other customers we visit here now all rave positive and their foods look and smell really good. We are sharing a variety of rolls, pesto pizza and chicken primavera. Water drinks. Wine and beer options available. All is very good and we like a lot. Pizza is real good but we've had better.

Yelp
I love this local place!! The pizza and spinach dip are amazing!! They also have cannolis and those are soooo delicious as well!!
google avatar

Yelp
The ambience was small family owned place where the kitchen is probably bigger than the seating area. It was absolutely wonderful. The food is authentic and made from scratch by cooks who actually actually care. We have told so many friends about this in Iowa that it's crazy. We just happened to find out when we were In Omaha for a band competition. Now it will be a regular destination for us every time we're Inn-Omaha. You can't go wrong at this place, folks. My wife and I both give it our highest recommendation!
google avatar

Yelp
Mangia Italiana off top is one of the best pizza places in Omaha. I ordered a small combination pizza and I really enjoyed the taste. The price is reasonable the service was fast and friendly. Check them out if you get a chance!

Angela S.

Yelp
Fantastic food. The Sugo sauce is a little sweet just FYI. The lasagna was amazing, the Parmesan bread was delicious. I would not hesitate to eat here again. Definitely a favorite in Omaha. Service was prompt and attentive.

Yelp
We went to a fun Mickey Mouse birthday party for our 3 yr old friend Maya and her parents catered from Mangia and it was a wonderful assortment of delicious treats from Mangia to choose from! The supreme pizza was so good spicy from Italian sausage and other ingredients. They had beautiful fresh salads and lasagna that was also delicious everything was we're anxious to go get dinner there soon!

Yelp
Cozy little place with affordable prices and satisfying food in generous portions. Pizza comes out hot and fresh and the cornmeal added into the crust makes it perfectly chewy. There is a huge variety of both traditional and experimental (without being obnoxiously trendy) pizzas. It's worth the drive up north for a relaxing lunch where you never go away dissatisfied.

Yelp
Good minestrone soup, the lunchtime special (Buffalo Chicken Pizza) was a good starter combo, Will bring SO for her opinion

Kerri A.

Yelp
Outstanding food and customer service! We used Mangia Italiana for catering a funeral luncheon (for over 150 people!). Kara was so great to work with, and she made it so easy for us, at a time when we really needed kindness! The food was delivered hot and every bit of it was delicious! Everyone loved it. Highly recommend and eternally grateful!

Yelp
Had an fabulous take out experience! We had three large pizzas, for a Saturday evening get together, and its really hard to pick a favorite. We had the taco, buffalo chicken, and supreme. I LOVE how diced and fine the beef is, it is so good and the marinara, to die for, it is SO delicious. We got the cheese bread just so I can dip the bread to my hearts content in the sauce. It's excellent. We drove about 15 mins with the pizza and it stay hot and fresh. Even cooks up well on the blackstone the next day.

GayBeth B.

Yelp
Great pizza as usual- the chicken marinara was good but is stuck with the pizza next time!! Good service but always use take out and they usually are good about being in time.
google avatar

Yelp
In town for a series of meetings, a coworker suggestion led our group here. Did not disappoint, everyone in the group was blown away by their dishes. The "suga" sauce was amazing and a great recommendation. Service was great and everyone was so nice. Have found my new go to place when in town, looking forward to the next trip.

Yelp
Amazon food! They did an excellent job catering my mother's memorial and I still get compliments on the food! Delicious

Yelp
Small restaurant in an industrial area. Was really surprised by the inside and the food. Boys loved the pizza, but I really liked the the baked lasagna.
google avatar

Jay L.

Yelp
Service & Food was amazing some of the best pizza in Omaha! I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Cinthia M.

Yelp
My husband and I tried this restaurant. We got spinach artichoke dip. Unusual flavor than we have ever had before and it was really good. My husband got shrimp Alfredo which was really good but I ordered a pasta with sugo (described as a spicy Sicilian sauce) and meatballs. I was SO impressed. It's like nothing I have had before. Sweet and spicy. I would definitely get this again.

Yelp
I have been here so many times, but finally writing a review! Mangia is basically a take out only joint now for dinner, which is totally fine, because they are great at it! Order online to avoid holding on phone, and schedule ahead if possible. Orders are always ready on time, packaged perfectly, and hot and ready! Some of my favorite dishes are the fried raviolis, marinated chicken salad, tortellini alfredo, Hawaiian pizza, and can't forget the parmesan rolls! i also love that they will do half/half pizzas with their specialties - this time we did a half combo/half Hawaiian, so everyone was happy! Worth the drive to North Omaha for the best pizza around!

Yelp
Mangia does it all when it comes to Italian food and they do it well! We've had catering sized portions of pasta for events, I've gone for soup and a slice with coworkers on my lunch break, I've picked up pizza for my family... you name it and they do it. I love the garlic Parmesan rolls, meatballs, 4 pepper Italian sausage soup and carne pizza. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the dine in hours... you can only eat in for lunch Tuesday - Friday. Even though the dining area is small, we used to love to go as a family on a Friday night. I'm sure there are reasons for it but we really miss being able to dine in.

Madelaine A.

Yelp
We have been going to Mangia's since they first opened. It's always been pretty good. They do catering and their pasta entrees are very good. The pizza is kind of hit and miss . We bought a couple last week and the pepperoni was great but the Hawaiian was so so. Their chicken Alfredo was great. Prices have gone up but then everything has gone up these past three years

Lisa S.

Yelp
This is one of the places that you can get good pesto and I love their pesto with bowties. Their salad is always fresh and their dinner rolls are great and their customer service is very good.

Matt L.

Yelp
My review has NOTHING to do with the food. Frankly this is my favorite Italian place to eat in Omaha. We ate here a few times each month and have even catered several large events from Mangia. Unfortunately, we haven't been back in many years with the change in hours of operation. We aren't "take out people" unless it is something quick. The quality of take out is just never as good as eating at the restaurant. We work, so lunch isn't an option, and the dining room is NEVER open on the weekends or evenings. We absolutely love Mangia Italiana and have raved about it for years. I've eaten nearly everything off the menu, but we are simply unable to make the hours of operation work. Anyone looking for great Italian food, this is your place!

Yelp
Hello Mangia Italiana! Chicken Parm, Pizza, Lasagna, breads... what can't this place make that's delicious. Tried a little of everything. Spot on people. We had to wait for a while to be seated. They do not take reservations. Drive up line makes it a little difficult to get to the entrance without fearing for your life a little. Different location or setup could make the 5th star appear up top. Otherwise, come get some! Take out or wait for a table. Very fun staff and attentive for a Wednesday night for sure. Packed house.
google avatar

John O.

Yelp
This is interesting Italian food. Pasta is good. They have a sweet sauce that originally I wasn't used to. But it's been a good experience. I've only experienced catering or take out but food has always been ready. This facility is mostly take out. Not much sitting area so plan accordingly. Sugu sauce is must try. Pizza is really good.
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
Looking for the best pizza in town? Look no further! Mangia super Buffalo chicken pizza is the best pizza I've ever had. It just melts in your mouth. I've had many versions of Buffalo pizza and this one takes the cake! I also love their Sugo sauce in their pasta dishes!

Jody B.

Yelp
My favorite place to go for authentic Italian sauces, desserts, salad dressing and pizza. Great menu, something for everyone. Oh my goodness, the cheese rolls and house dressing. I'm drooling right now. Not a very big place so if you want to eat in, there may be a wait. Patio seating outside. Pickup window on side of building. Recommend ordering and pickup. My take on it! I don't want everyone finding out about this tasty, fabulous place. So, if I were you, don't go, you might hate it..which leaves all the more for me!!!!!
google avatar

Tylena S.

Yelp
I've been here quite a few times over the years. Small spot. Always good food and nice staff! The prices aren't too bad either. The food won't disappoint.

Yelp
Our toddler was playing with the little pumpkins that they had put out for decor, they gave her one to take home as we were leaving The marinara is sweet, the Italian sausage is a bit spicy. I highly recommend it. Can't wait to go back and try a cannoli!

A W.

Yelp
More of a takeout than a sit down place. Pizza is ok (Dante's is much much much better and not that more expensive). Salads are very meh. Had a shrimp pasta which was decent.

Patty B.

Yelp
Always get a meatball sub and it never fails me. Wait isn't too long and staff is very friendly! Definitely worth going to.

Jill G.

Yelp
Mangia Italiana is amazing! BK (before kids) we would have Mangia about every other month for our "Girl's Nights" now that our children take up most of our free time we don't get together monthly, but when we do Mangia is on the list for options and picked about 2x per year. I have never eaten at Mangia so I can't really speak to table service, but the service at the drive through and counter are always on point. The staff is friendly and helpful. The fact that it is located in a house is fun too. I would recommend Mangia (and do) to anyone I meet.
google avatar

Kayla B.

Yelp
My parents came to town this weekend and one thing my dad LOVES after a day of travel is pizza. We chose Mangia because of the raving reviews and the fact that they had thin crust (which is typically the only request in my household). We ordered the supreme and the Garden pesto chicken for takeout and MAN IT WAS GOOD. My parents could not stop talking about it and that's saying a lot. The one complaint was that the crust could have been crispier but we did have a 20 minute drive home so it could have been due to steam in the box, not a fair judgement. It did take a while about 55-65 minutes after we ordered, and they do charge a fee for credit cards. But overall would absolutely make the trip out again, great pizza, family owned, tons of options- what more could you want?
google avatar

Erica H.

Yelp
Best pizza in Omaha, hands down! Super buffalo is our family favorite, but we've never been disappointed with anything we've ordered. And they have the most amazing lunch specials!
google avatar

Chris H.

Yelp
Christmas Eve meal by Mangia! The food was delicious! We picked up and took to family Christmas Eve. Never had a bad meal!
google avatar

Ava F.

Yelp
SO YUMMY!! Everyone in my family LOVES this place the pizza is amazing there was one time when the wait was superrr long, it was my first time there but it was sooo good. Always get it for family gatherings
google avatar

Nia R.

Yelp
I love the chicken Buffalo pizza. The chicken marinara salad is also a great hit. Great staff. Family friendly.

Judi P.

Yelp
Food is great. Small restaurant, they do a lot of carry out. A friend had them cater her wedding and the choices were delicious and hot.

Mabel S.

Yelp
This was our first visit so we ordered a cheese pizza and a meatball sub to split. The pizza crust is slightly thick and not the crispy, Napoli style we are fond of but we've come to expect this crust from authentic, Midwestern Italian pizzas such as Orsi's. While it's not our favorite crust, it's still delicious and Mangia Italiana's is no exception. Perfectly seasoned sauce and quality cheese make this a pizza that we'll continue to order. We both agreed that the meatballs are the best we've ever tasted from a restaurant. Flavorful, substantial and yet, light as air. The Sugo is perfectly balanced salty sweetness and the hoagie bread holds up and doesn't dissolve under the meatballs, sauce and melted cheese. We ordered carry out for lunch on a whim and wound up eating really delicious Italian food that didn't break the bank. The drive thru staff was extremely pleasant and we can't wait to return for a dine in experience. Mangia Italiana. What a lovely surprise.

Risa P.

Yelp
Food is always delicious and I love how their system keeps track of what we ordered last time / makes it easy for me to place an order!
google avatar

Bryant M.

Yelp
I love this place! It's probably the best Italian restaurant I've eaten in in Omaha. Not as good as the north end in Boston but great for Omaha
google avatar

Cassidy J.

Yelp
Bang for buck a great place for Italian food! The place is always so lively but not very large so go during non busy times is best -- but you will not be dissatisfied! You can change up the sauces on most dishes, which I did, and asked for pink sauce! It was very very good!
google avatar

Christine H.

Yelp
Our entire family loves Mangia. My experiences are take-out only, which is your only option at this time as their dining room is closed due to staffing shortages. I always appreciate a business that thrives when located off the beaten path and Mangia is just that. The staff has always been very friendly and their portions are generous - I think the pasta entrees could be shared. For me, I have found the marinara based sauces to be a bit sweet at times so I gravitate towards alternative sauces, but overall the flavors are outstanding and whether you are in the mood for pizza, pasta, sandwich or salad they have a little something for everyone. I HIGHLY recommend their sour cream potato soup which is their soup of the day on Tuesdays!
google avatar

Becki H.

Yelp
Some of the best pizza in town !! Our go to ! Off the beaten path for sure but they do a great business
google avatar

Kellie S.

Yelp
Mangia is the go-to place for food when we order lunch at work! Their alfredo sauce is delicious, and you can't go wrong with a single type of pizza they offer.
google avatar

Anna O.

Yelp
Everything about this place is amazing. The food. The people. It's a must! They also do catering for any large scale events

Brian B.

Yelp
We ordered takeout earlier in May when we were in Omaha for a graduation party. I had the Combo pizza which was very tasty. The pizzas were ready at the time indicated.

Beth R.

Yelp
Mangia's is one of our favorite places for pizza. It is pricier than most but I think well worth it!
google avatar

Jim M.

Yelp
Based on the ratings I decided I checked this place out. It's got a small cramped dining room. I ordered the garlic Parmesan rolls. They bring out a couple of cold rolls that look like they came out of a bag or the refrigerator or something. The sausage in 4 pepper sauce was fairly decent and the sauce was interesting enough. The shrimp Parmesan was actually the best plate that I ordered with 5 to 6 medium-size shrimp but seasoned really well. All in all I was just a bit underwhelmed with the place although my wait person was very attentive and did a great job doing their part of the deal. I don't know that I'd come back to this place again.
