"When you have exactly 10 minutes to scarf down a meal, Mango & Mint is the answer. The takeout-only Vietnamese counter on Webster has quick meals down to a science—their menu of bánh mì, rice plates, and vermicelli bowls are portable and hefty enough to double as a doorstop. Order anything with their perfectly salty-sweet grilled pork, and get a thick smoothie that tastes like actual mango or strawberry, rather than fruit-flavored sugar." - Julia Chen

I'm pretty picky about my Bun mi but they have a really nice food. Friendly price & generous portion. The bread is even thicker than my arm😅😂 Will definitely go back

Google
So glad my family and I stumbled on this place. Absolutely delicious! Service was so friendly! We got the pork lemongrass vermicelli, chicken lemongrass rice plate, the avocado spring rolls, a strawberry banana smoothie, and my now favorite tea, lemon, ginger honey tea. We will definitely come back here when we visit Alameda. Please check this place out if you haven't already!!!!

I was not expecting this to be any good. Im picky with my Vietnamese. However the servings size was amazing. The meat was very...sweet?? But good. The spring rolls were amazing. Huge. The people were very nice and working hard. I would definitely come back, especially for the vermicelli plate. But maybe order to go as the seating is very minimal.

Ordered take-out. Bbq bahn mi & spring rolls. Unfortunately both items missed the mark for me. The bahn mi is HUGE however bbq pork is lacking taste (tasted more like steam pork as there’s no char or bbq taste at all). It is still a good value meal due to its generous portion, size and filling. Perhaps I may go back & try other flavor next time. The fried spring rolls were completely a miss for me, unfortunately the ones i got seemed to have been fried and refried again as the skin was quite dark and the filling was on the dry side. I really enjoyed the side salad that came with the rolls. Came around 11am on a weekday, and everyone behind the counter seem extremely busy as no one said hello or welcome or even smile. I wasn’t expecting a lot but a short greetings would be nice. I was very excited to try this place out and may give it another go in the near future. For now im going back to my usual bahn mi spot in the island 😊

Google
Tried the BBQ pork bahn mi - delicious. Absolutely a ton of food (could have shared it with another person and been full). The pork was tasty. The pickled veg were great and the jalapeno was generous.

Google
I work close to this location and I have tried to frequent them however this last time will be my last. They always take way too long to get food out. It took them 12 mintutes to put 4 already cooked egg rolls laying in a hotel tray in a box and hand it to me.

Google
Cashier/chef was super warm and friendly. Ground pork and fried egg bahn mi was gigantic (def enlightening for 2 meals), with luscious fluffy French bread, incredibly fresh and crunchy veggies, and savory fillings. Would def go again when in the neighborhood.

Mango and Mint in Alameda offers a refreshing Vietnamese dining experience with an extensive menu of fresh ingredients. Each dish delights with authentic flavors, earning a well-deserved five stars. A true gem for food lovers! Carry out, so no dine in. Great bar eats.

Yelp
I've visited most Vietnamese restaurants in Alameda, but many are not great. Coming from San Jose, where I've experienced excellent Vietnamese food. If I want good Vietnamese food in the East Bay, I go to Oakland. Mango and Mint opened last year, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I ordered the Lemongrass pork vermicelli bowl. The bowl has grilled pork, vermicelli noodles, lettuce, mint, cilantro, cucumber, jalapenos, fried shallots, peanuts, and fish sauce. The meat quality was flavorful and not super fatty, like in some places. The fish sauce you pour into the bowl before mixing everything up is delicious. I had their BBQ pork banh mi recently, and it was great, too. They stuff their banh mi a lot compared to other places, but it's also expensive. An average banh mi in Oakland is around $6-8 compared to $12 at Mango and Mint. Their vermicelli bowl is at the right price point, so I recommend ordering this.

Yelp
Pineapple coconut and tags I tea Lemon grass pork banh mi Spring spring rolls All 10/10

Yelp
$12 banh mi??? To my surprise, the sandwiches are actually HUGE & really good. I usually get my sandwiches at Ba Le in Oakland but Mango & Mint is a great alternative and without the wait. We also ordered a chicken salad and the portion was pretty big, the large clam shell container was packed. I got their mango strawberry smoothie as well and they make it with apple juice. I prefer milk to make it creamy but the juice was quite refreshing. I definitely want to come back and try their other items.

Lili M.

Yelp
Gave it a shot 2 more times after my last review. Idk what happened but they really UPPED their game. Bread both times was CRISPY and the meat to vegetable ratio was perfect. We waited during a very busy time for only 7 minutes the first time and 10 minutes the second time. There is seating available to wait and/or dine. They've added new items to the menu such as wonton soup and vegan banh mis! It's right next door to the Cookiebar ice cream shop in case you want to get a sweets fix. Glad they seem to have listened to the community's reviews because I want to see this business thrive. Yay Mango and Mint!!!

Olivia S.

Yelp
Absolutely delish!!! Came here on a whim and had some of the best bahn mi of my life! The bread, pork, pickled veggie and cilantro ratio was perfection! Service was fast and had big portions that we easily could have shared. Cool little outdoor seating but limited. Our server was kind and fast! I will definitely be recommending this place and coming back soon!

Nadine Y.

Yelp
Pretty easy menu to read where they offer vermicelli bowls, various types of banh mi's, rice plates, egg rolls, spring rolls and smoothies. I ended up getting the ground beef banh mi which is huge! Easy to share with someone else. While the ground beef was good, it was very watery where I felt like I should have gone with a different choice of protein. What I will say is their spring rolls are delicious! You can also see them put the spring roll together which is cool. There is little seating inside and maybe 2-3 tables outside where you can sit. If you have a big group, I recommend maybe going somewhere else to eat. Overall, pretty good and would go back to try a different type of banh mi.

AJ S.

Yelp
I've been here so many times and have always loved it, but today was a huge miss. In the fresh roll there was a lack of herbs, lack of filling, and very strange textured and flavored peanut sauce. The sauce was gloopy and almost like a slime that slides off the spoon. I think they had someone new today making the rolls, they were very meager and some bites of the rice paper wasn't quite soft enough. Before they were packed and delicious. Disappointing because they aren't cheap (but they are a full meal). They got out the order quickly, but I would rather have it take longer and be done well. The other items people were getting aside from the fresh rolls still looked good though. Not sure I'll want to come back for the rolls after this experience tbh. I may come back and try the bowls again, disappointing for sure. This used to be a favorite.

Michelle C.

Yelp
The sandwiches are HUGE! We walked over on Sunday and placed an order for 4 sandwiches and there was a lot of other people waiting for their food as well so it took some time. The wait was definitely worth it and I was extremely full after eating just half of my chicken Banh Mi. I also got to try the tofu and mushroom banh min and the mushrooms were sautéed very well and was also extremely filling and delicious! Although there is some seating available outside, this is more of a grab and go sort of place than sit down restaurant. It's really good!

Sharyl J.

Yelp
I have been here a handful of times now for their banh mi. They're super tasty and a great size! I have also tried the egg rolls and they're also really good! It's cute inside with a small section to eat as well as tables outside. Will continue to be a returning customer :)

Joyce S.

Yelp
Came on a Saturday afternoon and they were pretty busy. We ordered at the counter and waited for them to call our number to pick up the food. We got the shrimp spring rolls and chicken banh mi along with two smoothies- strawberry mango and mango pineapple. The portions are big here. The spring rolls were packed with shrimp and very refreshing. After two rolls I was already full. The banh mi was also packed with chicken and the bread was toasty. The smoothies were just alright although they came in a big cup. We ate outside and it was nice warm day. The place itself is pretty small so there's not a lot of sit down space. I would definitely be back again if I'm ever in the area.

Lei I.

Yelp
Mango and Mint, has quickly become my go-to spot for banh mi sandwiches. I've only had the lemongrass chicken banh mi so far, and it's absolutely delicious--tender, flavorful chicken with the perfect balance of herbs and spices. The combination of ingredients makes for a truly satisfying sandwich. It's hands down my favorite place in Alameda to satisfy my banh mi cravings. Parking can be tricky with street parking available, but the small dining space offers a few tables inside and outside for those who prefer to eat there. The staff is friendly, though they don't engage much in conversation. My partner tried the BBQ pork banh mi once, but unfortunately, the pork wasn't shredded, making it a bit difficult for him to enjoy. Despite that, the overall experience has always been great, and I'll definitely be back for more!

J K.

Yelp
Way overpriced Vietnamese food!! Just went here with a few friends recently got a few sandwiches and they were good but nothing special just bigger sandwiches with more bread lol and definitely not worth the high prices. There are so many inexpensive Vietnamese spots that are way less money and just as good or better here in the bay. Extremely overpriced basic tasting Vietnamese food. Ambience is a small little comfy spot and service is decent.

Nadav M.

Yelp
I'm a fan. The menu is a good amount, within those items there's some variety. Chicken, pork, tofu, shrimp. Salads, sandwiches, rice bowls, spring rolls, vermicelli bowls. The place is really small and the seating is not too much. The place always seems to have people every time I pass by or pick up my food. I've had several of their bánh mì and the chicken is my favourite. The pate one is nice too. I'd prefer the rice plates over the noodles, just preference. Their presentation is always attractive. A bit pricey. AC transit buses 20, 51A, 96, and the O all bring you here. Plenty of bike locks around.

Zita M.

Yelp
Came here in search of a new Banh mi sandwich shop that also offers iced Vietnamese coffee and I am happy to report - they are a good spot! I visited two other shops in Oakland in the past and 1 other one in Alameda but this shop is the one. So stoked! Now I don't have to drive to San Franciso when I want a good Vietnamese sandwich ... because as ridiculous as it sounds .. I did that. ;) Will def come back. Street parking is available. I came around 6p and it was easy to find parking.

Anya H.

Yelp
I'm so happy to see a new spot in Alameda busy! Really wish this business the best of luck. It's great to grab and go. There's 2 small tables inside and 2 outside. I've ordered the bun vermicelli and loved the lemongrass chicken - really flavorful and spring rolls and both are sizable orders for what you pay. Love the Vietnamese coffee too. It's right on Webster next to Cookiebar! Street parking could be tough but there's some in the neighborhood.

Melissa L.

Yelp
So glad to finally found a banh mi sandwich shop that didn't skimp on the meat . Small cafe with limited seats by window - mainly for to go orders. Made an online lunch order and service was great - on time and quick . Combo banh mi - loaded with cold meat, pate and fresh crunchy veggies wrapped in toasted bread - 4/5 Lemongrass pork banh mi also has pate! 4/5 Pork rice bowl - box was heavy filled with salad , rice abd lots of meat -added egg roll for $2 more( a bit pricy for egg rolls but it was worth it when it has taro inside ) 4/5 Bbq pork won ton soup - new - there's about 8-9 pieces of won tons and it came with cabbage ( a bit hard) would prefer bok Choy or greens . 3 /5

Karen Y.

Yelp
Portions are large and food is tasty! Since the restaurant is smaller, we ordered to go. Parking could be difficult but street parking only. Service is friendly and restaurant is bright and clean.

Mindy L.

Yelp
On a hot day, the vermicelli noodle plate hit the spot! The flavor of the tofu was delicious and all the ingredients were super fresh. They even offered a sesame sauce instead of fish sauce for a vegan friendly option.

Jordan H.

Yelp
Mango and Mint is a consistently delicious place to get lunch or dinner. As a vegan, we SO appreciate the vegan mayo on the bahn mi, and now the vegan spicy seitan. The portions are big and the price is right. We highly recommend the mushroom tofu bahn mi, the tofu or seitan vermicelli bowl!!

Karen C.

Yelp
I've passed by Mango and Mint several times in the past month since it opened, but only just got the chance to try it. It's a small little spot with only a few tables, so we opted for takeouts. We ordered the following: 1) Shrimp Spring Rolls - these were fresh and decently sized with nice shrimp. These were solid spring rolls, but nothing special 2) Lemongrass Pork Vietnamese Sandwich - definitely worth it! The sandwich was packed! The bread was fresh and toasted with a good crunch! The lemongrass pork was tender and flavored nicely. The pickled veggies were gave a nice crunch! My partner absolutely loved this and would get it again! 3) Lemongrass Pork Vermicelli Noodles (Bun) - again, the lemongrass pork definitely shined. The portion size here was great as well! Another solid dish The meal was solid and the service is pretty quick. It's worth trying if you're in Alameda and craving Vietnamese food, but probably not somewhere you would go out of your way for.

Yelp
This was the best banh mi I've had in the East Bay. I've tried other spots and have felt so-so about them. That's why I feel very delighted to have discovered this spot. We came for a late weekday lunch, so it wasn't busy. They have a little bit of outside seating, so we enjoyed the sunny day. I ordered the bbq pork (because it came with pate, yum) and added an egg. She got the same sans egg. When our order came out, first impression was "dang, that thing is massive!" We then dug in -- and it was phenomenal. Plump baguette, well-executed char siu, and a great balance of pate, house made mayo, and veggies. It brought me back to banh mis I had in Hoi An. Decided to get a smoothie afterwards for the hot day. The Pineapple Coconut was delicious and fresh. I loved that it wasn't overly sweet or indulgent; the natural ingredients shined. What a fantastic experience here. It's now my go-to spot for banh mi. Can't wait to go back!

Melissa V.

Yelp
Yummy avocado berry protein smoothies! They add ginger when asked. They're a bit pricey, but yummy. Their banh mi sandwiches are on point. The bread, the chicken, daikon, carrot, cilantro, mayo ratio is perfect. And they're priced well.

Helen W.

Yelp
This place just opened about a month ago and service and food did not disappoint. The place is small and they do have a couple of tables for people to eat there if you want. We took ours to go. The sandwiches themselves were $12 each but they really stacked the sandwich. We ordered the lemongrass pork and combo. Both were good but I preferred the combo. Definitely need to come back and try some of their other items.

Yelp
1606 Webster St Alameda, CA 94501 "Mango and Mint" opened on March 15, 2024 in the former site of Left Field Dogs. This Vietnamese eatery offers Noodle Bowls, Rice Bowls, Eggrolls, Spring Rolls, Salads, Coffee and Smoothies. I dropped by on Saturday at 6pm to checkout the place. The young lady was very friendly and took my order. They accept cash and electronic payment. I wanted to get the BBQ Pork sandwich, but they ran out of BBQ pork. So I ordered the Spicy Chicken sandwich. YIKES! That spicy chicken is spicy hot! It was also loaded with crunchy pickled veggies. I was surprised at how big the sandwich was. Most sandwiches at other places are like baguettes, my sandwich was like a sub. I also ordered 4-pcs of Eggrolls. They had a free eggroll promo, so I ended up with five. The dish came with dipping sauce and veggies on the side. I was told the eggrolls were made of chicken and shrimp. They were crispy and delicious. My order was packed as a to-go order. They do have limited seating for eating there. I saw two tables inside, and 3-4 small tables outside. However, it should be noted that this place is right next door to the Cookiebar ice cream shop. When I was there, I saw people with cones sitting at tables in front of Mango and Mint. Would I return? Yes, I want to try the salads and drinks. Support Local Business!

Yelp
So happened to be walking by so decided to get into line and trial the bahn mi. It was the lunch hour so there was a slight wait to order with 2 people in front of me. The menu ranges from typical sandwiches and other Vietnamese rolls, and some bowls as well. After ordering I again stepped aside to await my BBQ pork sandwich. As I watched the ladies run back and forth prepping the orders then take an order, it became increasingly obvious that either they were still getting their workflow in order. Or they are understaffed. Because all the food sold is pre-cooked. The items just need to be assembled. Having said that, the wait wasn't atrocious, just longer than I expected for such items. The banh mi is a good size. Definitely big enough to feed 2 reasonable people. I did notice that they don't use pickled carrots or daikon, etc. So I did miss that flavor inside. However, they do include pate in a few of their banh mi which I always love to eat. So I think this is an ok place to eat. Prices are not super cheap but comparable in the area.

David A.

Yelp
I've been working in alameda lately and had to find a lunch spot. This was top rated and super close to college of alameda so I placed an online order for pick up. The food was ready to go when we arrived and the staff was super friendly. I ordered the bbq pork and rice plate and my buddy Dave got the shrimp rolls. Both dishes were excellent! Pork was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The spring rolls had large pieces of shrimp that seemed really fresh. I've been back a few times since then and only wish they had a location closer to home!

David M.

Yelp
Service was fine. It was a busy time. It's an order at the counter and wait setup. Limited seating inside and outside. The portions were very generous. It was two meals for me. The lemongrass grilled chicken was all white meat and delicious. The menu is limited but the food was delicious.

Kendall H.

Yelp
We came here per the recommendation of my aunt! She particularly loves the fresh rolls. We saw them being formed with a GENEROUS amount of avocado, I'd be interested in the future! Many people ordered Bahn Mi which I was debating on ordering. It looked really fresh and very generously filled! FELLOW MAYO HATERS BEWARE- it does come w mayo! I'd never seen it served with mayo before. I ordered the tofu rice bowl! The rice was perfect and tofu was just okay- I didn't love the marinade it came with mixed mushrooms. It was VERY salty. I would NOT order the tofu again. I'd sub for any other type of meat. I tried a bit of my mom's chicken vermicelli bowl which was delicious! The service was a bit slow and there is very limited seating. Overall I'd come back to this for a cute neighborhood bite.

Rebecca M.

Yelp
This little shop makes the best Vietnamese spring rolls that I've had in the Bay Area. Lots of veggies, excellent not-too-sweet peanut sauce, well seasoned chicken inside, beautiful presentation. Great smoothies too. The people making the food seem to take pride in what they make. Highly recommend.

Sammie L.

Yelp
I tried the banh mi and the vermicelli bowl and both were delicious! Great flavors and well made. There's two tables for inside seating and we went for a late dinner so we were able to eat inside, great meal!

Cee O.

Yelp
This little spot did not disappoint! Visiting Oakland from LA and of course I run to Yelp for good local eats and this popped up. I love a good Vietnamese sandwich! I will start by saying everything was so very fresh!! I had the lemon grass chicken sandwich and chicken spring rolls. So yummy! The cashier was very friendly. It is very small inside. Maybe 2 parties at a time can eat. A small table or 2 out front as well. It's on a busy street with not the best parking. Outside of that there are NO complaints! Highly recommend this spot for some fresh eats!

Diana A.

Yelp
I ordered a spicy chicken banh mi and chicken spring rolls. I had to forgo the the chicken spring rolls because they told me it would be a 30 minute wait! Little did I know it took them 40 minutes to prepare my banh mi sandwich! There was a fair amount of chicken and the bread was good, but there was nothing spicy about the sandwich. There were so many people waiting, people were pouring out of the storefront and practically on top of each other. It was an awful experience, the sandwich was just ok and not worth the wait ir chaotic environment.

Rina D.

Yelp
Cute little place! The workers was very nice! The Banh Mi that I ordered was huuuuuge! Very tasty too! I think I got the Char siu pork. Would like to try this place again when I'm in town.

Leo C.

Yelp
Big portion sizes make the prices worth it. Solid Banh Mi. Really tasty pate. Definitely would suggest calling ahead if you're in a rush.

J G.

Yelp
I just moved to Alameda and I'm sooo happy I'm a block away from this spot. Delicious banh mi and shrimp spring rolls! I still need to try the vermicelli bowls but I loveee a good banh mi. They give so much filling the sandwiches are huge and they give a generous amount of pâté without having to ask. Service is great as well. Def recommend for those who don't already know about this gem.

Jeanne L.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food, freshly prepared and the freshest ingredients. This wonderful find has such a positive vibe, probably emanating from the very kind and friendly staff and proprietor.

Stacey B.

Yelp
Awesome new food place! We biked over to try this new place for lunch. We got two vegetarian tofu mushroom bahn mi sandwiches and two smoothies. The woman at the register was careful taking the order, listening carefully and repeating it back. I wanted no jalepenos and the bread not toasted, whereas my spouse wanted less mayo. I got the tropical green smoothie and he got the pineapple coconut one. The total was $43-something - not a cheap lunch, but not bad for the amount of food. Both sandwiches were stuffed and filling. They definitely do not skimp. Both sandwiches were made exactly as we ordered them, and labeled so we knew which was which. We found the tofu very flavorful and really liked the sandwiches a lot. We thought we'd each eat half and take the other half home but we couldn't stop and ate the whole thing it was so good! Another plus - the woman put the smoothies in a cardboard cup holder and packaged the sandwiches on the other side with a bag around them so it would be snug and secure in my bike basket. Thank you! It worked really well, and the smoothies didn't spill even though they were full. And since they were both green, they sprinkled a little coconut on top of his so we knew which was which. Yay for attention to detail! We took the food to go and biked to a local park to eat. Although the sandwiches were packed full, they stayed together pretty well and were not hard to eat on a bench. There were plenty of napkins available to take with us, so we could wipe our fingers. It is possible to "dine in" because they have two indoor tables and two outdoor tables, but they are small and I wouldn't bet on them being available -- this place had a steady stream of customers, including lots of families with young kids. The place was very clean, and I noticed the food preparers all wore hairnets and masks. Overall, I highly recommend! I'm looking forward to coming again sometime to try other things. Given the spring rolls and smoothies, my kiddo would even eat here.

Han F.

Yelp
Legit spot. Small and Casual dine and outdoor seating in or take out. Friendly service. Food is spot on. $12 for banh mi but it's huge and enough for two to share. They offer so much meat, pâte and pickled veggies. Their rice dishes are also hefty with the meats rice and veggies. $15 for either chicken, pork or pork and chicken combo. Also got the Vietnamese iced coffee for $6 and was super happy with it, perfect coffee and condensed milk but not overly sweet. I'll be back for sure.

Hanh T.

Yelp
Everything is so fresh !!!! The sandwiches are packed I mean it's heavy where I can knock you out and that's a good thing I promise . Worth the $12 ! We came on a Tuesday and we go our food super fast . The coffee was good too not too sweet . The spring rolls were good too but not my fav I don't think I'm a fan of pickled veggies in it but they were packed and tasted fresh as well ! Highly recommend

Stephanie Y.

Yelp
Newly opened, Mango And Mint has a pretty concise menu - vermicilli bowls, banh mi's, rice plates and pick your protein. They also have egg rolls, spring rolls and smoothies. I went with the chicken rice plate, shrimp spring rolls and a blueberry protein smoothie. Good is the perfect descriptor. Everything was solid and reasonably priced, but nothing I ordered took it to the next level. Protein wasn't super abundant in both dishes: a lot more rice than chicken and mostly greens vs shrimp, but again, solid. The smoothie at $8 was huge, albeit a bit plain as it was solely blueberries, spinach and whey protein powder, but it worked. Overall, a nice little hole-in-the-wall offering fast casual Viet eats in a bright little store front. No seating available, this is take-out only.

Dhoris P.

Yelp
It's a small restaurant off of Webster. We love bahn mi sandwiches so we had to try it from this new place. There are only 3 tables inside and most people were ordering to go. It took awhile to get our sandwiches. It was during lunch, and they were busy. We got a table and we both had the tofu bahn mi sandwich. It was bigger than most we've had and a little bready. It's tasty, but just average. There were more cucumbers than tofu as you can see in the photo and the tofu didn't have much flavor. There are better bahn mi sandwiches in Alameda, but we had to at least try this new place. Would come back and try other dishes.

Jacqueline A.

Yelp
Had lunch there today, lemongrass pork Banh Mi...OMG! Haven't had such a great vietnamese sandwich in a very long time. This one came with lots of meat and pâte, hard to find. Will be heading there to try other things for sure. Check them out!

Wanda R.

Yelp
Mango & Mint in Alameda offers a refreshing Vietnamese dining experience with an extensive menu of fresh ingredients. Each dish delights with authentic flavors, earning a well-deserved five stars. A true gem for food lovers! Carry out, so no dine in.

Tracy R.

Yelp
I don't understand why everyone is raving about this place. We ordered dinner for delivery tonight. We had a couple of banh mi, a couple of chicken and rice bowls, and some eggrolls. The portions were very generous, but the food wasn't great. The bread on the banh mi wasn't the right kind of bread, there was way too much food in it, and the flavor wasn't awesome. Generally, it was maybe a 2.5 out of five. The chicken and rice bowls seemed OK and our diners ate them. The tofu bowl was bad and my vegetarian refused to touch almost any of it. The rolls were adequate. Too many other choices - I won't be back. But if you don't mind, bland food, and you want generous portions, go for it.

James T.

Yelp
Only two small outdoor tables. About 30 Minute wait so it's a great idea to order ahead. The bun noodles were cooked perfectly and cold like it should be. Ordered the $2 add on egg roll which seemed small. I appreciated the freshness of the vegetables. The grilled pork over rice was good as well. I didn't try the Bahn Mi which I thought was steep at $12. Street/meter parking.

Min L.

Yelp
Fire BBQ Pork Banh Mi. Too many banh mi spots fuck up on the bread. This place is fresh and lovely and the Char Siu is tender and fantastic. New kid on the block is gonna run these old spots out and I'm here for it.

Jenny Z.

Yelp
Nice new alternative for lunch around the island! Priced at $12 a bahn mi, I find the cost a bit expensive, but I will say that 1 bahn mi can definitely fill two bellies. I visited on a weekday around 11:30AM and the shop was empty, seems like good time to beat the lunch rush. The place is small but there are at least 2-3 tables inside and a few more outside. I ordered the spicy chicken bahn mi and the combo. The combo was huge! I didn't find the spicy chicken to be too spicy, I'd say mild, quite flavorful. The combo was decent, it has all the typical cold cuts. The pâté was generously slathered on one side, but the baguette wasn't too crunchy. I actually tossed the bread into the oven the next day and it tasted much better. The pickled veggies weren't too pickled, but still added a great balance to the overall bite. I'll definitely be back to try their other food selections and their smoothies!

B. G.

Yelp
I've been here twice and would not recommend if you intend to get non-meat items (I.e., the tofu). I got the tofu rice plate with veggie egg roll and fried egg and a mango mint smoothie. $30 for a lunch that lacked any flavor. Most of it ended up in the garbage. Where to begin? A scoop of steamed rice, assortment of sliced veggies. Pickled julienned carrots that I do better at home many times over. Tofu was fried but they poured some sweet, obviously bottled, sauce over it that made the tofu soggy and just tasted awful. The egg roll was bland and even the fried egg was meh!! So disappointed to pay so much for a meal that was so off the mark. I could cook a similar dish at home that would have tasted so much better :((

Best spring rolls in the game. Nicest people in the world. They make it fresh right in front of you. In & out shrimp is high quality along with everything else.
