"Modesto’s Mango Crazy has expanded to San Francisco with its best-selling mangonadas in tow. The mangonada is a sweet-spicy Mexican dessert layered with mango sorbet, diced mango, mango juice, lime, chamoy, and chili powder. The place specializes in Mexican street snacks." - Janelle Bitker

I really liked the ceviche, I would say it’s more like 4.5 stars because there is no place to dine in (but gave 5 because I think is due to covid and hopefully they can add seating at some point), service is good and the ceviche was delicious

Google
Tasty, refreshing and healthy !! Loved it, must try. I went there with a friend and we shared a large fruit cup. The fruits were fresh and it came with a spicy sauce which was fresh too, spicy and tangy!

We ordered the 16oz fruit cup and orange melon juice. The guy at the register didn’t repeat the order or anything, told us the price so we paid and waited on the side. He walked to the back after taking our order. The girl at the bar gave us the fruit cup, we waited a while for him to come out, then we realised he only charged us for fruit cup and missed the juice. As soon as he came back to the front, he told us: “Have you got your order? Sorry you can’t stay in here you have to leave” I understand they might not want people to stay in because of covid. I just thought that the service was a big ignorant and rushed. So I didn’t even bother paying extra for the juice, service was not worth it. The girls were lovely though.

Google
Very good! I had the tostilote and my daughter had the corn in a cup. The tostilote is the corn in a cup with your choice of chips on the bottom. It was a generous amount and everything tasted fresh.

Google
Don’t miss out mangonada. Special spicy flavor. fruit cup is delicious as well. Clean and friendly staffs. Only few chairs to dine in.

I had the mangonada, it’s recommended. The fruit juices are also good.

Everything is fresh, great service, the mangonada and mango agua fresca were amazing!

Yelp
We were looking for something cold and fruity to help us cool down on a warm Sunday afternoon, and Mango Crazy was an excellent choice. Yes, parking is tough in the Fisherman's Wharf area, but I was able to order and pick up the drinks while my bf drove around the block. It worked out. The place was fairly empty, but bright and inviting inside with a few stools and a counter for seating along the back wall. The service was fast and friendly, and it took less than 5 minutes for our order to be ready. We got the Miami and Very Berry smoothies to go, and the tastes were just what we needed, great flavor, perfect amount of sweetness, and absolutely refreshing. I especially loved the Miami, a nice combination of strawberry, peach, and lime. I would definitely return for this alone, but they offer so much more as well.

Giselle S.

Yelp
Delicious smoothies at a great price! My favorite is the Miami, it has a perfectly balanced sweet & tangy flavor. We've always experienced fast & friendly service, I recommend you stop by for a drink to sip on while you enjoy walking the pier.

Jacqueline W.

Yelp
It was delicious, fair sized portions. Friendly service and clean looking place. Easy to walk in and order.

Yelp
I'm not a mangonada expert. I just play one on TV. But even I know that it's a treat that should be purchased in specific neighborhoods where you can be assured there is a market for it. That's why your chances of getting a good one increase considerably in areas like the Mission, the Excelsior, Fruitvale in Oakland, and 23rd Street in Richmond. I wouldn't add Fisherman's Wharf to that list, where I would assume tourists come to a spot like this out of curiosity like when you can't help but buy a bag of the mini-donuts on Pier 39. Or remember sourdough puffs? I loved those...(sigh). I came here for just that reason and saw that the mangonada was only one variation of the sweet and savory mango creations they made here. I ordered the $9.95 16-ounce Mangonada (photo: https://bit.ly/3MmqBmy). While it had most of the requisite ingredients like chamoy, tajin, mango sorbet, and even a strong kick of hot sauce, the chunks of mango were not nearly ripened enough. At least there was a tamarind straw to suck and gnaw on. I kinda felt they went through the motions of a corporate recipe without showing a true flair for the craziness the name would suggest. MANGONADA - 3 stars...middling mangonada with no genuine zest AMBIANCE - 3 stars...typical wharf-type business SERVICE - 3 stars...highly zealous but not quite effective TOTAL - 3 stars...when's the next 19 to the Mission? Yelp
I love this place. Their Fresca and fruit cups are amazing. I walk there once a week just for those two things. The service is spantacular. Everyone in there is nice, helpful links, and friendly. The ambiance could use a little help but is worth the trip to the pier.

Nhi L.

Yelp
Was trying to find tostilocos by north beach without trying to go all the way to the mission and came across this place! I got the mango pineapple smoothie and cevichelocos which I've never heard off. Mango Pineapple smoothie: 4/5 Cevichelocos: 3/5 I think it was lacking lime and salt

Cecilia D.

Yelp
While walking down the pier to Ghirardelli, we passed by this little smoothie shop, which also sells ice cream by the way, to grab a drink. What drew me in was the fresca drinks...the ones in the big tubs filled with fresh juices and horchata...ya...those. It is so nice that they offer those fresh drinks, and smoothies, and ice cream. A little of everything that will make everyone in your party happy. So I was wanting something fresh and thirst quenching so I got the cucumber and lime fresca....so worth it. It was just so refreshing and tasted great. My brother got the melon & pineapple fresca which they said was also amazing. My daughter and son got the mango pineapple smoothie, and they said theirs was amazing. So you know what, I think they are amazing. Give it a try if you are ever by the wharf. It is worth it on a hot day.

Cheri L.

Yelp
I had mixed feelings about Mango Crazy. In the Fisherman's Wharf area there are not many options for the food that they sell so I was excited to give them a try. My order was the horchata, mangonada, and strawberry milk. The mangonada was pretty good, some mango pieces were super soft while others were a little hard but I can understand that the season might not be the greatest for mangoes; it was fine regardless. The drinks however were not the greatest. The strawberry milk was ok but it didn't seem like it tasted like fresh milk and strawberries, it was more of a strawberry "drink" if that makes sense. As for the horchata, it looked good but really just tasted like horchata flavored water. I'm not sure if it was the ice but the strawberry one wasn't watered down so I don't think so. I did try this place out also because on Instagram they said that the aguas were 50% off at "any location" for Memorial weekend, but when I went they said they were not half off and that it was only in Modesto (even though I showed the post too). I'm not sure if they were misinformed or if the advertisement was wrong but it did say "any location" and only listed red bulls or online orders as exclusions. Normally I would not have minded that I paid full price eitherway, but I didn't feel like it was worth the cost. The service was quick and friendly otherwise. The Mangonada was at least $10 and the drinks were at least $5 each, all were the smallest sizes. I feel that there are other places around SF that sell the same for cheaper. I can't say I would go back again but if you're in the area really craving something from their menu give it a try, but maybe check the reviews for which items are best.

Yelp
50/50 on a Wednesday summer afternoon - yumm. Love the spin on a mangonada where it also has pineapple chunks in addition to mango. I like the textural contrast and flavor mix that the mango adds. Love that the mangonada and 50/50 mixes here don't skimp on the hot sauce so it has a nice sweet salty spicy kick. I asked for extra hot sauce and they delivered. On the pricier side since it's right in the touristy stretch, but still a tasty treat if you're in the area

Maria M.

Yelp
I used to eat Mangonadas all the time when I lived in NYC. When Mango Crazy opened in Fisherman's Wharf I was beyond ecstatic. It's a colorful store offering Mexican Street food inspired fare from ceviches & smoothies. What is a Mangonada and why am I obsessed with it. They serve delicious mango sorbet ice cream, diced mango, mango nectar juice, lime, chamoy, and tajin which is chili powder. All these ingredients make for a fabulous Mangonada, topped off with a tamarind stick. These are some of the dishes I order: Bionico is their version of a fruit salad with apples, bananas, grapes & strawberries with cream and with granola, honey and coconut. The Strawberries & Cream is like a strawberry shortcake without the cake. Quite delicious it's nice a light not too rich! Corn in a cup was interesting corn with mayonnaise, cheese and lime. If you want something a little tart the Diabolito is made with lime sorbet instead of mango. Also topped with Chamoy and tajin. I order Mangonadas from here at least once a week. Yes they are that good I keep coming back for more.

Ash P.

Yelp
Had the mangonada and it was sooo good! Never tried anything like this before and the combo was amazing. Also happy for a healthy dessert place near me! Service was super nice too!

LeeLee C.

Yelp
Pretty looking fruit presentations. A busy shop. The agua fresca tasted like syrupy diluted with water.

Ankita G.

Yelp
If you are a big fan of mango, then this definitely is a place to visit! They have Mangonadas and other mango drinks with spices. I tried their fruit cup and Watermelon Guava aguas frescas and absolutely enjoyed them. They have varieties of aguas frescas to choose from.

Lissette L.

Yelp
Food is amazing and fresh! They have lots of variety to choose from. Service is friendly and quick! Vibrant spot at Pier39!

Yelp
I was craving an Elote in a cup today so I decided to go try it from Mango Crazy. The service was good, the lady greeted me with a smile which was nice. Once I got my Elote in a cup I got excited because I've been craving one for a while. I regret it. The corn was disappointing, barely had any mayo, all corn. The corn had an off taste to it as well. Nothing compared to a street corn vendor. Better off saving the $10!

Abraham A.

Yelp
As I was walking by I noticed they sold elote, English speakers would know it as, corn in a bowl. Elote, is delicious steamed corn smothered in: cheese, mayonnaise, chili, and a hint of lime. They're very few places in the Bay area that can serve a decent elote and this is one of them. Definitely a nice treat and I can assume that it's healthier than candy. Mango crazy had other Hispanic type desserts that I'll definitely be back to try.

Lynda S.

Yelp
OoOoo I saw someone walk by at Pier 39 with a mangonada and I had to look up where to get one! Truly one of the better ones I've had. Super welcoming vibrant colors walking in, service cashier was ready and willing to answer questions today and being super clean inside in one of the busiest tourist areas adds to the top star rating from us. Yelp checkin offers an aqua frescas with a food purchase. They let you sample the daily flavors before choosing - we asked what was most popular and was advised mango was so tried it and ended up grabbing it. Watermelon was the other sample we tried and it was good to. These are fruit infused waters. They were both on the very sweet side of being infused waters. They do offer a mango crazy rewards program that gives you $5 after 50 points and I think it's a $1 a point if you are local or plan to be back with the sign up of an email. I'll be back for sure since we seem to cater to lots of out of town family members.... yummy! Just finished my mangonada and already wanting another - soooo very addicting on this beautiful SF day!

Lilian L.

Yelp
My cousin Syd got me the Diablito today after going to the Alamo (Lime Sorbet, Chamoy and Tajin): it comes in either the 16oz and 24oz. And it was pretty good. Comes with a tamarind straw.

Sonya E.

Yelp
I'm in SF for work and as I was walking back to my hotel, I saw this neat shop with bright lights and people staring at the displays. I checked Yelp and the Pina Del Mar seemed like a good treat after a long day. It's ceviche, chopped pineapple, and chopped mango with hot sauce -- topped with Tajin seasoning and lime. Wow. Talk about a spectacular craft! It's impressive and tastes as good as it looks. The staff are friendly and one of the owners shared he may open another branch in the South Bay! It would be a popular spot for sure as they also have fruit cups, ice cream, smoothies, and other dessert items on the menu. Also, it's conveniently located on the Pier and is easily accessible no matter which restaurant you walk off from on that strip. Five stars well deserved!

Amy L.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious and great service! My friend and I got the Pina Del Mar, Ceviche Boats, Mangonada, pina colada and the ice cream cookie with vanilla and a chocolate swirl. The ceviche boats were hands down probably the best thing I have ever eaten and it was so refreshing! These ceviche boats are hollowed out cucumbers topped with ceviche, lime, salt, hot sauce, and tajin. I was initially apprehensive to try this only because I have never seen or heard of it before but each bite I took was as refreshing as the last. It's full of flavors and it also has bits of avocado in them! The Mangonada was pretty good as well especially because they had a tasty mango sorbet on the bottom and the mangoes tasted pretty fresh. I'm not a huge fan of the chamoy but that is probably the main part of what makes mangonada what it is. The pina colada is a must try for a drink choice and the ice cream cookie was no doubt yummy as well. Really enjoyed this place because it tastes fresh, the store is very clean, and the workers are very nice! I will definitely come back again and next time I will try the Tosticeviche!

Connie M.

Yelp
I normally don't crave mangonadas unless it's hot weather but for some reason on a cold rainy day my palate decides it wants mangonada, a combo of icy cold sorbet with chunks of mango fruit topped with some spicy sour sauce. My bf ordered the strawberries and cream because he thinks the mangonada mashup of sweet and salty and sour and spicy is just weird. Maybe he's the weird one. Both were bomb.com! Although I wouldn't normally eat the mangonada on the regular I can see myself coming in to get a fruit cup on a hot summers day. The strawberries and cream--oh my word it was dang delicious and definitely indulgent. Imagine layers of cream, granola, raisins and strawberries. It wasn't too sweet which I liked but for more money you can add condensed milk. Luckily we checked into yelp to get the free agua if you buy a food item. I highly suggest the watermelon agua! So refreshing and naturally sweet. The staff were really nice too. They started in the Modesto area and it's great to see small places grow. I see big potential here and I'm happy a fruity place finally opened up near me...tired of all the coffee and pizza lol

Lili L.

Yelp
Very nice and clean environment, order a fresh delicious water and a "corn in a cup" that I had the choice of putting hot Cheetos powder ... so so worth it. Súper sabroso. I gotta locate the ones closer to me now cuz I would love to stop by again and any chance I have.

Priscilla W.

Yelp
Dang... I've had a fruit cup kinda like this before but this one was spicyyy! Not sure what the difference is with this place verses other places but I'm not complaining! The only thing that sucks is I had a piece of hard mango (yuk) which sucked on it's own, but then I had one piece of soft mango that I was looking forward to and it fell on the floor... sad day.. but other than the hard pieces of mango, the fruit cup was good! Hubs got the tosticeviche, he said it was spicy but good.

Eddie C.

Yelp
I stopped here because daughter no. 1 wanted a Mangonada. Context, We were on vacation to visit SIL in Sacramento right smack in the middle of the first covid lockdown. This trip was booked during this time becasue round trip tickets from MSY to SAC were $114 each! I digress... Walking to the Fishermans Wharf we spotted this place from across the street thru some construction going on. Make a quick turn to check it out. I gotta say, by looking at the other folks posted pics, we were lucky that there was no one in there. Walked in, looked around and was out in no time. My daughter was super thrilled to get one. I tried it and I am no a fan but I must be an oddball. Wait, I am an oddball. She approved and I approve.

Emily G.

Yelp
Only tried their "Locals' Favorite" smoothie, so this review is based on the Hawaiian smoothie. The menu says the Hawaiian smoothie is "strawberry, banana, pineapple." A 16 oz is $7.49 and a 24 oz is $7.95. For $8, I watched them pour a cup of strawberry syrup (from a bottle), half a banana, and a slice of pineapple into the blender. The smoothie tastes like an artificial strawberry granita :( I would've been fine paying $3 for it, not $8. Service was good and maybe their other menu items are better. But would probably pass on the smoothies again :-/

Kelly M.

Yelp
This place blew my F-ing mind. Flavor bomb! I would drive 300 miles just to eat here again. Head over heels in love. Top 3rd favorite place I've ever been to. I'm definitely Mango Crazy!

Qwen M.

Yelp
Smoothies were sooooo good! Pina colada was my daughter's favorite and I had the strawberry banana and pineapple. Delicious. Staff and service was great. We will be back!

Diann U.

Yelp
Went here a few months ago. Great customer service and very helpful. Not alot of sitting area. Must go early like right when they open so that way you can catch a seat to the side by the wall. Everything we ordered was delicious and tasty. Will definitely be back if ever in the area.

Sheila P.

Yelp
We got the 16oz fruit cup and it was really delicious! Had a variety of fruits, including jìcama, with tajín and chamoy sauce. Really refreshing. I didn't want the mango and pineapple sorbet so I got the fruit cup instead which seemed like the healthier option to me.

Juan H.

Yelp
Had Ariel as a wait person and he was awesome! Did not need to wait on anything! Had drinks out super fast, then food and extra chips and salsa! We didn't need to ask for refills because he already had it on our table before we could ask! Seated outside and it was beautiful looking out over the water and boats! Highly recommend!

Meredith B.

Yelp
YES OH YES. Stop by and get yourself a bite to eat/snack while walking along fisherman wharf/pier!! This spot will for sure be poppin' during summatime! Make sure to order an Agua Fresca-- both mango and blueberry/pineapple/strawbs are delicious corn in a cup aka similar to deconstructed elote is super good!! Come and support this spot, I will for sure get my Agua Fresca on whenever I'm back in SF :)

Fiit Vs F.

Yelp
Amazingly sweet, fresh and delicious mangos topped with tajin for the added kick and flavor enhancement.

Tram H.

Yelp
The BF and I were staying at the Hotel Zoe only a few blocks away from Mango Crazy, and so we decided to come here in the morning. We ordered a mangonada and corn in a cup, then upon checking into yelp, I saw that we were eligible for an agua fresca too! So we showed the owner (Henry) and he was gracious enough to give us two agua frescas on the house. I was a fan of the cucumber lime, and the mango orange. Henry was really great, we had a great conversation of how they started in Modesto and slowly made their way to their location on Fishermans Wharf. The corn in a cup is basically elote made easier to eat, and it definitely hit the spot. I love corn, and I love elote. My BF was a huge fan of the mangonada and so was I because they give you nice crisp and crunchy mango on top that gives a nice sour contrast from the sweet sorbet. I wish they had opened before I moved away from the city, but the BF and I have definitely made it a point to come here when we are in SF, and I also remember Henry saying that maybe one day they'll open a location in San Jose which I would probably cry and go broke because I would go all the time. Henry was very humble, and I feel for him having to commute to and from Modesto to maintain both stores. Friends, please give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. I don't mind the prices, because they're in San Francisco with high rent to maintain and also Fisherman's Wharf can be a dangerous place at night, so WE NEED TO PROTECT THIS PLACE AT ALL COST.

Diem N.

Yelp
My coworkers go to a reunion and decided to come here. We were not disappointed. The customer service was great and fast. All my coworkers loved the food or drinks they got. I love the flavors and fresh fruit. I'm definitely coming back to try the different things. The prices are not bad for the quality and quantity of food you get. I love the fresh fruit and different topping. You are near great landmarks like a fisherman what. I got the 50/50. I love fresh pineapple and mango. It's so good. Please come down and check out this local businesses.

Alexis E.

Yelp
Came up to the Bay Area from LA and this spot definitely caught my eye. We came in and tried some of their agua frescas and wow i was blown away by how damn good they were. We were on our way to get some coffee so we didn't order anything right away but we did come back and we got a mangonada and a fruit cup and wow they were SO good. The fruit tasted fresh. Everyone working there was super duper friendly, made fun conversation about where were from and recommended us a few different things to try out before we decided on what to get. Kenny for sure took care of us! Big shout to Xalli as well, she made our orders and she got them taken care of real quick. This spot is for sure on my list of must stop places whenever I come up to the Bay Area now!

Long C.

Yelp
Value 4/5 Taste 4/5 Service 4/5 Presentation of food 5/5 Appearance of the establishment 4/5

Lawland L.

Yelp
I learned about this new cuisine on Pier 39 and wanted to try out this Modesto favorite. My 50 staff enjoyed the Aqua Frescas and Mangonada offerings that were tasty and memorable. Get the cerviche for sure. They delivered on time and please try them out its the bomb. Good quality and meet the tastebuds of all!

Dior H.

Yelp
super amazing service, fresh and delicious food, and the store itself is adorable! we got the mini puffs with nutella ice cream and it was perfect.

Diana H.

Yelp
The staff was very nice especially the GM named Henry. He was so helpful, allowed us to try different flavors of aqua Fresca. We ordered the Tosticeviche added corn and avocado and it was so delicious. The seafood was fresh, tastes amazing and they also allow you to add your own amount sauces depending on your taste. Also got 2 aqua Fresca drinks: Mango Orange & Cucumber lime. Both of the drinks was so good you can taste the real fruit and it's a great refreshment, not too sweet but perfect. Overall had a great experience and will be going back.

Sinella A.

Yelp
BEST CORN IVE EVER HAD. The service was amazing and the food was a million times better than that. I got the tostielote & a large tropical aguas frescas, and they were both so delicious. They need to open a location in LA if they haven't already, because I can't keep coming to SF for this. Edit: I was so impressed that they used corn on the cob and cut it off rather than using canned corn. You could tell because there were chunks of corn kernels stuck together. Such a good experience

Graciela P.

Yelp
So after the Big Bus drop us off by Fisherman's Wharf, thankfully it stopped raining I mentioned to my sister we should get something warm to drink since we had the girls and it was cold. Yeah well that all went out the door once I seen a Mango sign lol. Two of the girls just wanted a bag of Takis, chips just chips lol. The older one asked for a medium vanilla shake, yup a shake in the cold. My sister got some Tostilokos without the cueritos since she can't eat pork. I got the Bionico without the coconut, and we ended up splitting a Mangonada. Everything was very good and fresh. We definitely enjoyed snaking on this in the cold walking to the car lol. We would definitely return to this spot when in the area again, the ladies here were very friendly and attentive.

Richard M.

Yelp
Tijuana, Mexico meets San Francisco in one of the most delicious ways possible! I am so glad this is here! Being someone from San Diego, this is fantastic!

Jacob-Kiki H.

Yelp
Seriously! This is a hidden gem at fisherman's wharf. The food was all incredible. It's just authentic style Mexican fruit, ceviche, corn, and sorbet. The woman who helped us was very kind and explains things well. My wife grew up in Mexico and knows and loves the taste of Mexican prepared fruit and ceviche. She reports this is all incredibly authentic. We went with my three children who all loved it as well. Where there is so much processed food and junk, it's good to just have plain, simple relatively healthy food. If you're walking in this area, there is nothing more refreshing than eating cool fruit while you do it. Next time we're in this area I will for sure be back.

Eli L.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I stopped by on a whim. Not only was the food amazing (we got the bionico and the tostielote), the guy that worked the front was extremely kind, informative, and accommodating. The kind of customer service we received was the kind that brings you back for seconds. Should have gotten his name, but if the manager is reading, please let the guy know who was working on Sunday, May 24, that he's doing a great job.

Raquel T.

Yelp
Wish I could give this a 5 star rating but it's difficult to do when you find inedible things in your mangonada! At first I thought it was a piece of glass but my coworker confirmed it was plastic. I would have it again, as well as try other items.

Mark W.

Yelp
Disappointing and lacks flavor. I had a lot of hope for the place but it wasn't that good.

Lea W.

Yelp
At first I thought this was a bit pricey but considering how much seafood you get it was totally worth it. All of the ingredients were fresh! It was slightly under seasoned but this way you can add tajin and hot sauce to your liking! The free agua fresca when you check-in on Yelp was an added bonus. I will definitely come back to try the other items on the menu!

Hanna A.

Yelp
I ordered on door dash. The store didnt give me my order and gave different kinds of fruits rather than just one. When i called them they said they will give me my original order. An hour later i still haven't received. I tried calling them 5 times and they're just plainly ignoring my calls...

Jaclyn G.

Yelp
I was craving a spicy cold treat and the mangonada did it for me. It had a decent amount of heat to it and the sorbet was exceptional.
