This riverfront restaurant with lantern boat views has the best small plate, shareable tapas! 🐟 Our group’s favorite was the Pinchos: open faced sandwich with anchovies and chimichurri 🐟 The duck pate 🐟 Sea-viche was so fresh, straight off the boat 🥭🥧 Have you ever heard of mango pie? I hadn’t but it’s a 👏 must 👏 try! If you meet the owner, Duc, you’ll soon understand why this is the most well-executed Asian fusion in Hoi An. With firsthand experience hand making tortillas and mole in Mexico, to serving sushi throughout Europe, he’s blended the freshest of foods and balanced flavors in a way only those who have cooked globally can do. The restaurant has a level of food hygiene, cleanliness, and attention to detail that surpasses the local norm. Pairing that with the elevated dishes and the price point is a perfect match. Truly a world class experience!

Mango Rooms is an absolute gem for anyone who loves fresh, creative, and comforting dishes. Hands down, the best meal I’ve had in Vietnam . Everything was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is attentive without ever feeling overbearing. You genuinely feel looked after from start to finish. Portions are generous, making it perfect for sharing, and every dish arrived hot and fresh. The owner even took the time to sit with us and was an absolute delight, and the staff were equally lovely. Located right on the river, the restaurant has a beautiful ambience that makes the experience even more special. The space is also adorned with the owner’s daughter’s artwork, adding a unique and heartfelt personal touch. Highly recommend for date nights, family dinners, or anytime you’re craving comfort food with serious flavour.

The red snapper special was one of my fave meals of the trip and one of my fave tacos ever (from someone who’s been to CDMX!) The shrimp tacos were also delicious as a great one-bite mini taco. I also enjoyed the ceviche blanco, which was fresh, creamy, and slightly spicy. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. Service was great, present but not overbearing. Mocktails and dessert were average— I did love the vanilla + black sugar ice cream which is made in-house! Pricy for Vietnam even considering its location, but I personally felt the cost was justified. Overall a great meal and would recommend, especially if you can get a table by the riverside <3

Without a doubt, the best restaurant in Hoi An. We ate at Duc’s three times during our visit, and each time was truly special. The food is made with fresh, local ingredients, and everything is prepared with exceptional thought and attention to the smallest details. The atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming, perfect for both lunch and dinner- whether you’re coming to celebrate or just to sit and enjoy time together. Don’t miss this restaurant!

Coming back after a few years. The delicacy, atmosphere, service and cuisine themselves are all improved and even better than before (which was excellent already). Chef Duc has cooked some new dishes himself with a touch of organic ingredients and fresh fish from the sea, bringing a mout-opening experience to us. The service is also excellent since they give us enough private space along with warm and welcoming experience.

Hands down most attractive restaurant I’ve visited in Vietnam, with indoor seating or a deck onto the river. Better food than Madame Hien (and a little more expensive). I had the seafood pappardelle with tomato sauce - the homemade pasta was very authentic and the fish perfectly done. The cocktail, something with gin and hibiscus, was sourly delicious. The orange cake could’ve had more substance to it, it was too light and didn’t taste of orange. They were kind to swap out the cream for coconut ice cream for me; sweet and creamy and a delight.

This restaurant deserves so much recognition. We’ve been travelling around Thailand and Vietnam for almost a month and this is the best meal we have had throughout the whole trip. The waitress recommended the specials to us, which was the duck and fish and I’m so grateful we went for it. They were our favourite part of everything we ordered, although everything was delicious. Especially the lotus hummus. Chef Duc even came out to ask how we enjoyed the meal and shared his story and how his restaurant and food came to be. Everything about this experience and food has been top notch 👌👌 If you are in Hoi An and don’t go to this restaurant, you would truly be missing out.
