MANGO TREE RESTAURANT

This place is just a tourist trap. Went here for breakfast and all the food we ordered was mediocre at best. The food does not warrant the price they charge as well. The whole place is maintained enough to trick foreigners into thinking this is an authentic Indian restaurant, but it's very cheaply maintained and you can tell that they tried to cost-cut everywhere possible just enough to keep the illusion going. The only good thing I can say is that the food arrived quickly. Do not recommend.

What I liked: Delicious Food: The taste and quality of the food were excellent — definitely one of the highlights. Good Service: The staff was polite, attentive, and ensured we were well taken care of. Nice Ambience: The background music and natural setting created a calm and relaxing atmosphere. What felt odd: Footwear Policy: Guests are asked to remove their chappals/shoes at the entrance. While it might be part of the restaurant’s tradition or concept, there was no clear explanation provided. It felt a bit unusual for a dining place. Overall: A must-visit for the food and ambience. Just be prepared to dine barefoot!

The food was tasty, and the service was excellent. We had dinner at this restaurant, and everything we ordered was delicious. They offer a wide variety of food options to choose from. Just a little bit pricey comparing other restaurants in the area. But overall experience was great.

Visited Mango Tree again after years, earlier it was near the Virupaksha Temple, now it’s at a bigger location with good parking. They have both floor and table seating. Tried something new this time. Momos were average, Greek salad was very disappointing, but the dal rice was simple and delicious. Ended with a banoffee pie, absolutely loved it!

We had dinner here. We liked the floor seating concept. It is relaxing. The food was a little more expensive than other places (it came out to around Rs 500 per person with a drink and a shared desert) but it was tasty. The Banoffee Pie seemed to be a local special and it was well worth it. Don't go by its size because it can be quite filling.

During our 3 days in Hampi trip, we went twice to the mango tree for having lunch. We ordered south Indian Thali, The food and service is amazing. A very friendly atmosphere. We tried mango lassi and buttermilk as well both ware best to have.

While in Hampi, we dined here twice and in my mind this is top notch restaurant. Once we had south Indian thali another time we had pizza and other stuff. Every time we had awesome experience. I would highly recommend it.

One of the best restaurants in Hampi. You have 2 kinds of sitting arrangements, One is regular on table and another is sitting on the floor (Cushions) which is a very cozy and homely experience. Service was fast and staff members are very friendly. Food was excellent. You can try anything and everything on the menu without any doubt. #mustvisit
