Again I have to add that the management has not gotten the water fountain to work after a full week of being open. And the bathrooms have not been revamped or updated. Gotta do a better job. The pool is basically nice. But the grills don’t work and the shower water is on cold only. They could do better for the prices but it doesn’t take much to have a working grill for these prices.I should add that after this review was posted two new grills did appear so that is very nice. Now if we could only get the missing water fountain back!!?? And now that the water fountain is back in place and working for the kids I can say only that they still have to get the outdoor showers working correctly on hot and cold and thier bathrooms could use a revamp for next year.

Kids classes are a joke. Don't take your kids here. Just Google how to have your children get use to the water. The RI sport center is $70 a month. The people working this place are clueless and uninterested in making progress.

Nice pool for learning to swim. The membership is kind of expensive for membership if you are not a resident. But we really enjoyed it when doing baby swim class as part of aquafit swim class. Also the location is very convenient from queens to get to. It's outdoors though so good only for summer. The indoor pool on the south of the island is better for all seasons but is currently undergoing renovation.

Went there today.. got there around 12:30.. they wouldn’t let me in because it was full capacity & I came all the way from Long Island. It cost 70.00 for a weekend day pass. Apparently it gets very crowded. Maybe I’ll try again during the week. I hear weekday passes are 55.00, today was a waste of time for me I had to take the train & bus to get there & then couldn’t get in. Very upsetting!

They need to update the website. No time slots anymore so go when it opens to secure a spot. No towels provided. Chips, Gatorade, etc available for cash purchase only. It’s basically a public pool except it costs $70 per day. Seems like a nice spot for local families with memberships though.

It's worth it. Be sure to bring your own towels, flip flops and lock for the lockers. The bath/locker room could use a renovation remodeling. The environment is very chill. I do plan to visit again.

It went from $75 last year to $150 in 2023. Might as well get a pool pass for a nice hotel in the city.

Ridiculous prices ! $150 for day pass??? They clearly don’t want non residents there!

Yelp
I had a lovely time here. The admissions fee for non residents of Roosevelt island is $55. So some of the cheapest pool prices in the city. They have little snacks you can buy like chips and bars. The mural is beautiful although you can't realllyy see it since your basically standing on it. The oool is a nice size. Not huge but I didn't feel like I was too close to anyone while in The water. The lounge chairs are nice and there are umbrellas that you can open up for shade. The locker/bathroom situation could have been nicer for a swanky little pool but it wasn't horrible. I think I'm just skeeved out by bathroom in general and all the water. Wet floors. Hair on the floor. Someone left the shower running. Just silly gross little things that it would be nice if they checked and kept it a little tidier. I will say there were lots of kids at the pool. Earlier in the morning the younger the babies. Most of them weren't bugging out like this was hurricane harbor but I did have to curb my conversation as they swam up real close and didn't have much concept of personal space. Not horrible though. It could get annoying but they didn't bother me much. I'm pretty patient. Some of my friends were not as thrilled with it. Overall a nice pool and if you don't mind a few kids being around I'd def recommend.

Yelp
I love going to the pool in the building where I live at so that's why I go to convenient. I like it.

Yelp
In my opinion, this place is a disgusting nightmare. Spouse convinced me to come here from Manhattan for the day. This is the worst day of the summer thus far. The place has no food, no service, is overrun with loud crying kids, chairs are uncomfortable, people are packed together, can't move chairs or umbrellas...... I could go on and on. If you have money and standards - stay away. Zero chance I would ever return.

Yelp
I would first like to say that this is a very nice pool club. It's convenient, clean, pretty and has friendly staff. I arrived today for the first time since last year as a non resident after confirming that the price was $55 per day for non seasonal membership online, only to be told that the day pass has now been increased to $150. Practically three times last seasons rate! It's quite disappointing since I live equally close to Roosevelt Island and the UES. Unfortunately, for that rate, I can take my pool days elsewhere. I did enjoy my stay since I had already traveled there and was looking forward to it, however, prices should be updated accordingly! I don't think I would return.

Yelp
For a whopping $200 for a day pass, shouldn't we be getting free drinks and a massage? They don't even provide towels, and the pool is overflowing with screaming kids. Give me a break.

Yelp
Took my daughter for private swim lesson in January. Wasn't sure what to expect due to Covid-19. Was very impressed with how they're taking proper precautions. Hand sanitizing station available on the pool deck, instructors wearing face shields, and overall friendly staff. My daughter was enrolled in 4 private lessons with Nick and he was absolutely amazing.

Yelp
I participated in the semi-private swim classes for adults. The instructors were so patient and I made good progress in a short amount of time. Michael is so responsive to messages and was flexible with my very fluid schedule.

Yelp
Amazing classes on island that help our kids grow and develop. Valuable to have this training on our RI - my kids have advanced a lot on the island. I think the pool being warmer in summer will help but overall the staff is great and teachers are caring and challenge the kids.

Yelp
The whole group is amazing!! They worked so well with my son! We can't wait to sign up again next summer!

Yelp
Great swimming lessons for children and adults! Nice pool and knowledgeable instructors.

Yelp
I've been looking for a Covid safe place to take my son to learn how to swim for a couple months now. He's 6 years old and can be a little hyper-active sometimes but I was amazed at how instructor Nick was able to work with him. Not to mention after only a few weeks my son started swimming short distances on his own. Also if you're worried about Covid this program is definitely taking all the precautions. Everyone on the pool deck is always wearing a mask and the instructors also wear face shields at all times!
