"I am so heartbroken with the closure of Manila Sizzling Wok, a Filipino staple of the Twin Cities. Not only was it delicious, it allowed Filipino food to be accessible and affordable to many, with its no frills, deli-style dining and takeout." - Eater Staff

We visited friends in MN and craved for Filipino food. It was a fastfood inside the mall but they had all the dishes we liked. We ordered sisig, barbeque, halo halo and mais con yelo. Everything was so good! It did not did not disappoint at all. We will definitely be back to try the other dishes.🇵🇭

First off, the pictures were misleading as these weren't the actual storefront at the Burnsville mall. It took us 2 days/ attempts to finally find it. Google maps also messed up the directions going there so we almost just gave up. (This can be corrected by retracing routes a few times going there until Google gets it) The food. They were delicious, true taste of home, and quite generous. However they tend to swim in fat/oil (sisig to be unsavory) The sisig was sadly not Kapampangan sisig which i truly missed) I missed a lot of Filipino dishes and many are not on the menu especially fish and vegetables. Available on the afternoon menu were mostly pork dishes, none of the healthier ones. The service was undeniably Filipino warmth and smiles! Regardless of regional languages, i was happy to listen to Tagalog served with my food :) I learned it may take a few minutes to prep or heat up the food so keep hangry at bay. I may come back but only for fish and vegetables, some Filipino desserts maybe. Mall atmosphere whichnwas kinda sad. Filipino warmth is like a steaming pot of soup on a dark, unwelcoming empty room.

The calamansi drink is made from a fruit that is like a hybrid between a lemon and and orange. Delicious! The blood broth pork (dinuguan) isn’t the most photogenic dish, but it’s extremely flavorful with a hint of vinegar. Tasty! The sour soup (sinigang) is good too. 👍🏻

I always go here for their pork belly sisig. This is where I get my Filipino food fix at the Twin Cities. I’ll drive here even though it’s kinda far from where im located. I love the service here, very warm and welcoming. I definitely recommend this restaurant as a Filipino myself. I need to try their Halo-halo next time

I have been hooked on trying Filipino food after learning about the variety it has to offer in its cuisine through Filipino food vloggers. I did some research prior to coming here and learned their menu is always changing. You can either check their Facebook page for the menu of the day or just wing it and see what they have to offer. I looked at prior menus and everything looked delicious so I was going to be stopping in regardless. Before I get into the food, I just wanted to note how friendly everyone was here. The customers shared some recommendations while the lady serving me also helped me pick out a couple dishes. The gentleman working was very personable as well and made me feel like family! He stopped by a few times to make sure everything was tasting good and was also great to chat with. I would recommend this place based on the customer service alone. It was a very happy and uplifting vibe that the workers were giving off which really made for a great experience. Now, back to the food. Since it's an á la carte menu, you get the opportunity to try a bunch of different dishes. I ordered the lechon kawali, pork adobo, dinuguan, lumpia shanghai, and a halo halo to go. Everything was delicious in its own way but the pork adobo was probably my favorite. The meat was ridiculously tender and flavorful. Although, the lechon kawali with the sauce they provided was pretty killer too. Everything was seasoned perfectly and nothing was too strong in terms of spice or flavors. The dinguan was new to me but a customer told me it was good so I gave it a shot. For anyone unfamiliar with this dish, it was meat I believe that is cooked in pork blood and other spices. I also got a cup of fried rice which paired well with the dinguan. The leftover stew could be topped over the rice too for some tasty bites. It might sound a little crazy if you aren't an explorative eater, but I found it to be pretty good! Don't knock it til you try it. However, if it really came down to the star of the show, it would have to be the halo halo. Don't get me wrong, I would come back for some pork adobo, but this halo halo was kind of life changing. It made me feel like I was in a game of Mario Kart if that makes any sense, specifically rainbow road. In other words there was a lot going on and I was trying to make sense of everything. None of these ingredients would've been anything special on their own, but when combined it was a masterpiece. You will have to stop in and try it to see what I'm talking about. This was the best treat I have had all year in terms of taste and uniqueness. Anyways, I will eventually make my way back here in the future to try some other dishes they're cooking up. If you haven't been here yet, make sure to stop by and show this place some love! You will be happy that you experienced some Filipino comfort food.

I've been waiting for what seems to be an eternity for great Filipino food. And finally... Manila Sizzling Wok serves it up with comfort, love, and great taste. The pork belly sisig is luscious and just goodness through and through. I don't want to share it with anyone. The lechon and pretty much everything is also delicious. The owner and staff treat you like family. So grateful for this hole-in-the-wall comfort food shop.
