Madame D and Gul & Sepoy in Spitalfields Will Close | Eater London

"A new bakery concept slated to open on the ground floor at 4 Duchess Walk, near Tower Bridge, in October. Delays to the larger Tower Bridge site have given the team more time to refine and perfect the bakery offering, and the owners hope it will complement the new restaurant while providing opportunities to retain staff affected by temporary closures elsewhere in the group." - Adam Coghlan

Delicious Gorditas and Pupusas! Tacos also excellent, the meat is so good here. Pan de Jamón is absolutely incredible, worth a visit just for this.

I had an incredible experience with this bakery and its owner. I went looking for an authentic Mexican bakery to supply dessert for a family get together and I’m so pleased I came across Manna. I stood out very obviously, but I was greeted by friendly people. It’s a very tight space, but i was impressed by not only the large selection of fresh baked goods, but groceries and home essentials, too. As I expected, Spanish was the primary language spoken in the business, which I was prepared for, but the owner spoke to me in excellent English, which was very reassuring and accommodating! He helped me place my order, which they made FRESH for me specifically, since I did place a larger order (30 pastries) I was given a reasonable wait time - only about a half hour and when I returned, not only did the owner bless me with a slight discount, but he included a few other pastries for me to try! I am so thankful for their above and beyond service and the desserts were DELICIOUS! This place is the real deal! Thank you Manna Bakery for your kindness and service to me and my family! I will definitely come back!

Excellent street tacos. Preferred the beef over the pork but both were very flavorful and well seasoned. Excellent meat to tortilla ratio. The side of beans were seasoned perfectly; probably the best beans I’ve tasted. The rice was a good accompaniment to the beans. To go orders only. No onsite seating. Super cramped inside with the bakery and other select groceries but worth it for these tasty street tacos and sides.

Although hard to find parking since no off-street parking and place is small they have plenty selection of fresh sweet breads, fresh made meals to go, and other selections with quick in and out many people come here often.

Google
Their pupusas are amazing! Came with a delicious sauce and coleslaw that was perfect to cut the richness of everything else.

Yelp
Some days the cookies are good, some days they are bad. I have been here just 2 times and im not going to waste my time going back. Im better at making the ameretto cookies with more flavor too. Plus, nothing is pretty just simple and you must pick it out yourself. After covid no thnaks.

Yelp
OMG! I had two tacos and they were the best I've ever had 5***** . They were very kind and courteous, and the prices exceptional. They have a assortment of bakery items, beverages and ethnic brands of food. This is my new go to in a quaint area. there's something here everyone's pallet.

Yelp
Authentic. Much like I get back home in Southern California. I got the concha bread and different fresh baked goods.

Yelp
First time I was there was December 23,2020. Had a steak taco and it was amazing! I saw the reviews, it was close to supper time at home and didn't want to order to much to spoil my appetite AND I thought if it wasn't great I only had one taco. Was I wrong to only get one... should have gotten a dozen and thrown supper out at home! The green sauce and lime on the side was perfect. Also got some baked goods(apple turnovers) and beyond belief! I next visited December 29, 2020. Got a beef tongue burrito! It didn't disappoint. Got the red spicy sauce this time. Great heat! It reminds me of a qudoba burrito with rice, pico de Gallo, cheese, crema-absolutely perfect, only more/better flavor. This time I tried the queso cheese turn over and WOW! Super nice staff and customers (a customer helped translate). It's a hole in the wall that is WORTH the visit!

Yelp
Great selection of baked goods. Everyone was very nice. Ordered the carne asada burrito and tacos along with pollo tacos to go. Very delicious. Will be going back again.

Yelp
This burrito is probably the most authentic tasting burrito I have had in the states. The seasoning of the meat, the flavor of the sauce. All great , a little heave on the cheese to top my burrito but it worked. The sauce though.... This little hidden gem is awesome!!

Yelp
Manna has an almost overwhelming number of pastries, and everything we tried was delicious. Sweet and flaky cream cheese stuffed triangles, beautiful churros, jalapeño and ham buns and the list goes on and on. The staff is helpful in guiding choices and their prices are very reasonable. Don't miss this little gem of a bakery!

Yelp
Fantastic!!!! A gem no doubt!! Tacos were incredible along with their choices of baked goods. Do not miss out on this hidden place!

Yelp
AWESOME, authentic Mexican bakery, and super cheap to boot. Their sweets are not overly sweet, which is a refreshing change. Having an office meeting? Stop by there for some cookies to share...everyone will love them!

Yelp
First time at this wonderful heavenly bakery! My sis and I stopped on Wednesday later afternoon. We didn't realize the variety that they offered. Every single item we purchased was delicious! Most of what I bought I had never tried before. We will definitely be going back. This is a place everyone should try!

Yelp
Been here a couple times in the past year, awesome products, some very interesting ones, too, but ALL very very good and SO reasonably priced. Clerk present was super accommodating and even gave me a few sample tastes! You gotta try it at least once.......that'll hook ya!
