I see why Manna Kitchen is voted into top 100 vegan restaurants in the country. Tasty as all get out! Discovered this gem of a restaurant while visiting Benedictine University. What. A. Find! Large menu. Good prices. The yellow lentil soup was so tasty that after we split a bowl? We ordered a second one. Huge quinoa and arugula salad with balsamic reduction. Candied pecans- roasted sweet potatoes. Oh yes!

I am not vegan but sometimes crave vegan food and I wanted to try this out for my mom since she is vegan! I ordered the Tower burger and It was delicious and had so much flavor . It was decently sized for me so I will finish the rest later, but it made me so full halfway through. Also I ordered a red velvet cookie and it was so perfect!

I’ve gone to Manna Kitchen since it first opened in 2019 and it honestly keeps getting better every trip. I always get their cauliflower wings that come in multiple flavors! On this trip, I got the BBQ chicken sandwich is legit AMAZING. My mom also got it for second time with me and she loves it and isn’t even vegan! Dad also enjoyed it and he eats meat! It comes drenched in a delicious BBQ sauce, it’s crunchy on outside and tender when you bite and comes with pickles, ranch and coleslaw. Added fries to make it a combo for just around $16. Got the Carrot cake to go and it did not disappoint. Their cakes always are on point and the same was true on this occasion. While the price point is higher for their options, their portions are HUGE and definitely well worth it. Lastly, Josh’s service was phenomenal. He is friendly, kind and did a great job checking in with us and provided great recommendations. So happy Manna is in the western suburbs!

Very glad to have a vegan restaurant nearby. We liked all the dishes we tried; I especially liked the Reuben sandwich. The desserts are great, but since we visited late evenings they tend to run out of all the popular dessert options.

1/22/25 update: -mac attack burger with garlic parmesan fries 5 - This is a good size burger. You probably don’t need an appetizer. Meat is Beyond Meat, has cremini mushrooms, garlic aioli, fried onions, and mac ‘n cheese. Overall, it’s a very clean burger. I finished the burger with no greasy or oily fingers, I didn’t have to wash my hands in the bathroom. Patty wasn’t dry, it was slightly juicy. The mushrooms gave it extra flavor and the fried onions gave it a nice crunch. The fries were crispy and an adequate amount of garlic parmesan. No ketchup needed. -mac n’ cheeze 5 - The new version of mac and cheese was yummy. Very cheesy but not overpowering. -black forest cake 5 - Don’t underestimate the size, very shareable between two people. Slightly rich chocolatey taste. Cherry filling was enjoyable in the middle and little on top. -panang curry bowl 4 - huge bowl to satisfy your needs. It came piping hot. The aroma is light and the taste is mild compared to curries that you would find at Thai/Indian restaurants. Tofu was slightly firm. The broth was coconut flavored, it was more subtle. I would have liked the coconut flavor to be a little more prominent. Overall, it’s about 4.5. I’ll round up to 5. I also recommend trying tower burger, cashew mac & cheeze (that’s how they spell cheese on their menu), and vegan seitan chorizo tacos (favorite). ———————————————- 2/22/24 update When I walked in around 12:40 pm, I was astonished to see it empty. I was greeted right away, that’s a plus in my book. I chose the seitan chorizo tacos along with garlic parmesan fries as my side. I ordered a Mexican chocolate for dessert. They also have free water in the corner with enormous size cups. As you can see from my pictures, they have adequate seating. I’ve been to some places where there are only a few tables, but this place has more than a few. Service was fantastic, the employee asked how my meal was and was very attentive. Overall, it was a great improvement from my last visit. As for the prices, they are actually pretty standard for vegan food. I’ve been to Denver, where I ate a variety of vegan food and desserts. The prices were about the same range. I’m not vegan but my palate is eclectic. -Seitan chorizo 5/5 - I really liked the corn tortillas, they didn’t crumble apart. The seitan chorizo tasted like the real chorizo. It was filling, clean, and I had no bloated feeling afterwards. The avocado salsa tastes great when you use it to put in your tacos along with dipping your fries in it. -garlic parmesan fries 5/5 - Very far from being salty, you can smell the whiff of parmesan before taking a bite. Not overwhelming. Nice crunchy taste, no sogginess, and there is an iota amount of oil at the bottom for dipping. -Mexican chocolate 5/5 - very smooth texture. Not super rich, just has the right amount. This is a very good dessert to end the meal, it’s not heavy either. —————————————————————————— I would give this place an overall 3.5. Service was really friendly. The Tower Burger was pretty decent. Good taste. Fries were well seasoned. Ample food for the price. Crab cakes were good not great. For the price, i would have liked to see another crab cake thrown in. Sweet chili cauliflower wings were decent. I like to have wings with a little more moisture inside. A little expensive for what you get. Cashew mac and cheese I really enjoyed. Definitely one of my favorite dishes from here. Good flavor and balance. For the price the portion was good. Indonesian sweet vanilla pudding I really liked. After a filling meal, the dessert is light and not too sweet. Overall, it’s worth going to once since not too many vegan restaurants. Price was fair on certain items and others were a little overpriced for what you receive.

I’ve been coming to Manna Kitchen for three years now, and they never disappoint. A lot of places start slipping over time, but not this one. The food is just as good as the first time I had it. I got the Chik n Sand sandwich (again, because why mess with a good thing?), and it was perfect—crispy, flavorful, and just the right amount of sauce. The buffalo sauce gives it a nice kick, and the chik’n itself is super crispy on the outside and tender inside. Honestly, if you didn’t tell me it was vegan, I wouldn’t even know. The people here are always so nice, too. They make you feel welcome and actually help if you can’t decide what to order (which is me, every time). If you haven’t tried this place yet, do yourself a favor and go. You won’t regret it. This was my second visit to Manna Kitchen and I must say, they have truly maintained their standards of taste and quality over the year. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The PanangCurry we ordered was simply amazing. Every bite was bursting with flavor, and the balance of sweet, savory, and tangy notes was perfection. It was evident that great care went into preparing this dish, as each ingredient shone through, creating a harmonious and memorable culinary delight. The Crispy BBQ Chik-N Sandwich was a revelation. The combination of crispy, flavorful "chik-n" with tangy barbecue sauce nestled between soft, toasted buns was a true masterpiece. Each bite was a symphony of textures and flavors, leaving us craving more long after the last crumb was gone. As for the Sweet Chili Cauliflower Wings, we were blown away. They were the perfect marriage of crispy and tender, with a sticky sweet chili glaze that elevated them to new heights. Even non-vegetarians would find themselves reaching for more of these delectable morsels. Overall, our dining experience at Manna Kitchen was nothing short of exceptional. Not only was the food outstanding, but the service was also top-notch. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring we had a memorable meal. Whether you're a returning patron or visiting for the first time, I highly recommend Manna Kitchen. It's a culinary gem where every dish is crafted with care and precision, ensuring an unforgettable dining experience. We're already looking forward to our next visit! FAMILY OWNED HIGHLY RECOMMEND Damm i was so impressed with this place. They have great options and guess what everything was vegan. We we’re welcome by the mother and daughter who run this place. They were very flexible with us placing the order and also helped us choose what we can order. The time we went, they were in process of cleaning the dining area as they were closing for 2 hours break in afternoon. We ordered CHIK-N-SANDWICH - it was good. It had fried chicken along with tomatoes and lettuce buffalo sauce. We also ordered Panang Curry bowl - actually that was really really good. I so loved the taste that next time i will order that again. On side we ordered some extra Fried Chik-N Wings. I definitely recommend this place for the vegan lovers.

Manna is such a gem, i will find any excuse to make the trip out from the city! The french onion soup is such a treat as it's rare to find such a good vegan version. Their vegan chicken sandwich is delicious, the sauce and slaw make it perfection. The BBQ wings and mac n cheese were a hit with our whole table and the perfect items to share.

Google
Vegan. VEGAN 100% !!! Fantastic recipes. The food is AMAZING. Cream of wild rice soup, special of the day 'Varenyky', club sandwich. I would eat there every day. (I was disappointed though when I reviewed my pics later and realized they didn't put the shytiaki mushroom bacon on my sandwich. Never realized it while eating the sandwich.) Did I mention 100% VEGAN !!!!! So happy that I live close to Manna Kitchen. Please do yourself a favor and bring someone you love!!!

Yelp
This is my first time to Manna Kitchen (as I am just visiting here) but it won't be my last (I'll be back to Manna next time I'm in Chicago!). The food was magnificent - filling without making me feel heavy. I had the Black Bean soup and the Tower Burger - both were delicious (the soup is amazing). The staff member was patient and knowledgable. And the service was very fast. The presentation of the food was beautifully done. The dining area is simple. It is very clean. The music played is from the 70s-80s and at a pleasant volume. Great place!

Yelp
They have all reusable dishes, silverware and even cups for water with a dispenser and a little area for recycling. I got the fettuccine Alfredo special with grilled "chicken". It was tasty and fun to get a vegan version. We also ordered the beet soup special, the house fried "chicken" appetizer, side Mac and cheeze, massaged kale salad, club sandwich, and the Marsala "egg" fries. I like that they also make a lot of their own proteins out of seitan instead of just the store brand plant based meat products which they have but not in most dishes. The food is really good. I really liked the Mac and cheeze, the fried "chicken" appetizer and the beet soup the most. They don't seem to make their own drinks but they do have a lot of great food options which is all homemade and they do offer some delicious healthy drinks for purchase. They also sell a small selection of nut butters, baking ingredients and kale chips that they make as well as a few more snacks that they don't make. Like a very mini vegan grocery. The ambiance is nice. Lots of live plants and comfortable booths and tables. I especially love the table in the corner by the window and big plants. I worked right near there for awhile and tried everything on the menu. My favorite was the specials and especially the soups. Loved everything I got. It's also organic! Can't beat that. :)

Yelp
I've been here a couple times and always ate in. It's usually pretty quiet and dinner. They have a great selection of vegan foods to buy, also. I used to get one of the curries, but I don't see that on their menu anymore, their "burgers" and fries are great also! Happy to support a vegan restaurant in the burbs!

Yelp
I've been here before a couple times, but never left a review. It's large for it's location with open seating. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The cashier was super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Everything was clean and organized. I had the American burger with fries and an apple juice. The burger's sauce was slightly tangy that added a great flavor. The fries were large and crispy, but not greasy. I decided to also try the green tea cake. Everything was great. I didn't even finish my fries there was so much food.

Yelp
Went here for a quick lunch with colleagues! This place is decent for vegan food lovers! It was my first time trying imitation setian chicken sandwich . It was tangy crispy and deep fried! The fries were good. The panang curry was very tasty. It wasn't spicy but decently flavored! It had all vegetables and tofu! If you are in the neighborhood I do recommend trying this vegan place at least once to get your vegan taste buds on:$

Yelp
I actually never realized this place was there until a friend was looking for a vegan restaurant in the area. Even if you aren't vegan like myself, the food is amazing! I had the taco salad and it did not disappoint! The meat tasted like chorizo and that is no small feat! My friend had the Reuben and again on point! I will definitely be back and recommend it! Service was excellent as well!

Yelp
1/22/25 update: This is my third visit to Manna. Portions were improved on my second. It has been consistent with my third time. We came on Wed night close to 7 pm. I ordered the mac attack burger and an Arnold Palmer. I paid extra to upgrade to garlic parmesan fries. I also bought a side of mac n' cheeze, and black forest cake. My girlfriend got the panang curry bowl. Service was very friendly and helpful. Desserts were mostly cakes this time. Pricing remained the same. -mac attack burger with garlic parmesan fries 5 - This is a good size burger. You probably don't need an appetizer. Yelp
This place is the best vegan restaurant I've ever been to. It blows away all the vegan places in the city. They have so many amazing items on their menu. And the chef is outstanding. I love how they have a new special every week.

Jen L.

Yelp
This is decent. I wish the food had a bit more spices added to it but I can't complain about the menu. It has enough variety to peak this non vegan's interests. If you're vegan, this place is heaven.

Yelp
I am not vegan or vegetarian and am hooked on how much flavor and how good the food is. Absolutely a tasty place to eat. Back in town for a conference and had to come back to Manna Kitchen! I am from Ohio, and discovered Manna Kitchen in 2023 thanks to YELP. I was in the area and checking out places to eat and I was inspired by what I read and saw. I now plan to stop here every visit I can. Manna Kitchen has great food and friendly service! Ambiance is great and love supporting a small business. This visit the other side of the dining room was closed but there was still plenty of seating! I brought two other coworkers with me this year. I had the House Fried Chik-n (love the maple mustard sauce) and a side of Greek Fries. Washed it all down with a mineral water and all three of us split two desserts. Absolutely recommend!

Yelp
Wow so excited we found this gem... great selection of vegan options. The food is tasteful and fresh. We ordered the Reuben, tacos and Chana masala. The desserts were amazing as well. The team was very polite and welcoming, I look forward to more visits and so glad this is in the vicinity...

Yelp
Had amazing lunch with colleagues. We ordered penang curry with tofu and chicken sandwich with fries. Penang curry was loaded with veggies like cabbage, sweet potatoes and mushrooms, beans and carrots. It could have used little spiciness though. Buffalo sandwich was amazing. Fried, spicy. Great taste too. Definitely recommend trying this place.

Yelp
Can't believe it's been around 2 years since my last review! Manna Kitchen continues to be my #1 spot for vegan eats. Seriously, no place does vegan food better than Manna Kitchen. Even if you're not vegan, their food here is just delicious point blank. Family owned and operated, this humble and spacious eatery has got all the quality ingredients and warm hospitality. The employees here are always so helpful and sweet. There's convenient parking right outside the store too. The place can get pretty busy even right when they open; they make everything fresh to order so even if there is a wait, it's totally worth it. My personal favorites are the crab cakes, club sandwich, and buffalo cauliflower wings. One thing I'm dying to try is the Soul Bowl which looks delectable. The pricing here is also extremely fair (this is a very affordable restaurant especially for vegan food). You already know I'll be here again soon. Highly recommend Manna Kitchen!
google avatar

Yelp
Everything I've tried is delicious. I would ding them a star for taking away the chix wrap they used to have but I'll just hold onto hope that someday they'll bring it back. The club sandwich is outstanding.

Yelp
We had a delicious lunch thanks to Manna Kitchen and Yelp Chicago We're not vegan, but we want to incorporate more plant based foods in our diet. I had a Crispy BBQ Chik-n  Sandwich.  Did I know that it wasn't really chicken? Yes,  I did.  Did I care? No,  I didn't. Did it taste like chicken? Somewhat. Was it good? It was very good. The sandwich was huge, with a mild bbq sauce,  topped with colesaw, pickles, and ranch.  It's also a really great looking sandwich that tastes great. Upon entering, I originally thought that the restaurant was small.   However, there are 2 dining rooms, one more for large groups and private parties. I also got to try an Arnold Palmer drink (I've been wanting to try one for a while) iced tea and lemonade. It was really good. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Would we eat here again? Yes! Did our visit convince us to go vegan?  No,  but,  we will definitely be eating vegan more often. You need to make this a destination for vegan food!

Yelp
This was my first time trying out Manna kitchen. I am a die hard carnivore, but I love my veggies and am always open to try new things. I placed my order over the phone, asked what they would recommend, and ordered the Panang curry bowl. I was told that it would be ready for pick up in 20 minutes. I arrived 20 minutes later and was surprised to find the door locked. I tried to open it a few times, I saw people inside, they just weren't opening the door. After about 5 minutes, they did come to open the door which had been locked. They explained that they had been slammed and short handed, so they locked up until they could catch up. I was surprised they didn't just leave the door open and ask people to have a seat and wait. I think that would be good practice in the future instead of keeping customers locked out. The restaurant was clean and well cared for, and the Panang curry bowl was amazing, some of the best I'd ever had. I would definitely go back for that dish, I hope they figure out their staffing issues and stop locking the door during business hours.

Yelp
I went to Manna Kitchen with my wife and son. I got the wild grain bowl, my wife got polenta triangles (the weekly special), and for my son we got a side of mac & cheese. This was my second time having the wild grain bowl, which is really tasty. I love the "goat cheese", the hemp seed pesto, sweet potatoes, and candied nuts. My wife enjoyed the polenta. Polenta has a nice flavor. I tried a couple bites and the sauce was delicious. The mushrooms were a nice touch. My son seemed to enjoy the mac & cheese. He ate it without complaints, which is a relief. Pro tip: Their carrot cake is delicious! Vegan food can be pricey, but everything seems fresh and it was filling; we actually had leftovers. Service is excellent, and the interior is rather nice. They also have an interesting selection of snacks and butters that you can buy.

Yelp
Manna Kitchen is by far the BEST place for vegan eats in the Chicago suburbs (and even rivals many of the "go-to" vegan places in the city). It's always a pleasure to stop by here. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items, the open seating makes for a comfortable atmosphere, and the unique/fun beverage cooler along with Manna Organics retail products enhance your experience. The Tower Burger is absolutely fantastic. Their homemade barbecue sauce is perfectly sweet yet tangy, and the homemade patty is soft with a balanced umami flavor. They were out of the mozzarella when I stopped by, which I know would've been the perfect finishing touch, but it was delicious nonetheless. The Garlic Parmesan fries are a must get if you're a garlic-lover like me! Perfectly crispy and generously seasoned, these were incredible. Do not forget to order a side of their cashew cheeze sauce on the side for dipping! I wish the prices were a little cheaper or the portions larger to justify the price; the burger patty could have been much thicker and more substantial for the price with a more sizeable amount of the toppings (more than one piece of lettuce and one pickle, more crispy onions) would be better while the fries fresh-cut rather than pre-made crinkle. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu though!

Yelp
We are not vegan but wanted to try this place out. I ordered the Panang Curry. Panang Curry Chicken is one of my all time favs so I was pleasantly surprised that this tofu dish was pretty darn good. The flavor of the sauce was nice (although I wish it had more of a kick) and the combined textures were great. 4 stars. My husband opted for the Caesar salad. It was rather pricey for the ingredients included and the capers made some bites too sharp for our liking. 2 stars. The service was okay. There were two people in the kitchen from what we could see and one woman at the front of the house. She did not seem very friendly, but not rude either (maybe because she needed help). I also didn't like that they served my husband's meal and my meal so far apart. He ate some of his salad and then waited until my dish came so we could eat dinner together. I think the meals should have been served together. Other; --Located in a strip mall. Adequate parking unless you come at a very busy time. --Order up front. They will give you a number to put on your table. They bring your food out to you. --They have a little retail area for packed vegan foods. Tip for the restaurant: I ordered an Arnold Palmer. I thought they would bring my drink to the table. I was not told it came in a can and was self serve from the fridge until some time later when husband went back up to the counter to ask about the drink. I think you should mention this to your patrons this when they order.

Yelp
All the food was great and it was nice to look at the menu without trying to figure out what is vegan. We had the Greek fries appetizer (good, especially the dipping sauce) and I had the Mac Attack Burger with baked beans (wonderful). We had a nice leisurely meal with friendly service. This was nice as my cousin was in from Alaska. My husband loved his seitan chorizo taco, too. My non-vegan cousin raved about his meal, too. We left satisfied, but still got the Strawberry Cake to take home. We'll definite make the trip back from Indiana.

Yelp
The food here is amazing! Everything on the menu is vegan!! What a find. We had the Greek fries, Caesar salad, sweet and spicy cauliflower wings, baked beans and the buffalo chicken sandwich. The staff is very sweet. Good value for the money and I can't wait to try the red velvet cake. The restaurant is lovely as well. We will be back! All the stars!!!

Yelp
This place is my favorite!! As a vegan it's so nice to have a fully plant based restaurant in the area. I know whatever I am going to order is going to be safe to eat and will be delicious! Lately my favorite has been soul bowl!

Yelp
my first time experience eating at all exclusive vegan restaurant and it was a hit ...the food was amazing as well as hot and fresh. I ordered the chicken sandwich with fries it was very crispy and tasty I didn't feel like I was missing real chicken. also ordered cauliflower bites appetizer this also was super tasty and crunchy almost reminded me of pakora with a nice sweet and sour glaze. the lady up front and kitchen staff super friendly and helped give recommendations. I would be curious to try their fettuccine Alfredo dish apparently it was a big hit they ran out earlier in the day and had to turn people away. I liked the seating area the bench was silver and very comfortable. Def will be back again when I'm out in the area.

Yelp
Okay, so I'm not a vegan, but I love vegan/vegetarian food done right. But I want to be honest, despite vegan food now being more popular and readily available, not a lot of it is really good. Manna Kitchen is DEFINITELY an exception to this. I ordered the Tower Burger to go. I really wanted to dine in the incredibly calming and comforting ambience (the dazzle of the silver, the calm of the blue) however I was on call and knew that I'd get called, so I took the food to go. The "fermented" Patty is what had interested me in this entree, and man, that patty was poppin'! It was a well seasoned, nutty, umami patty covered in a whole smattering of goodness that I was too busy eating to even note. The fries were FRESHLY fried, and perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside! I washed it all down with a Ginger Lemon Olipop - refreshing, delicious and guilt free, what more can you want? While I was waiting for my food to be made, I began looking around and could not help but start shopping. Everything looked so interesting. In addition to my fresh food, I walked away with two bags of Kale Chips (Tahini flavored and Curry flavored). The Tahini is savory and delightful, but man, those curry flavored kale chips are where it's at! Absolutely delicious! Also bought two bags of crunchy snacks - Fig & Ginger, along with Coconut & Banana. Also bought some Butterfly Kombucha and every flavor of Ollipop! And lastly, I bought a MASSIVE lemon poppy seed cookie - this was the absolute BEST end to a fantastic meal. Not too sweet, just right, soft but not crumbly - pure cookie perfection! Just that cookie alone will bring me back...however, I am going to go back for some of those Bowls I saw on the menu as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!

Yelp
We stopped here after a run to renew our drivers license for my wife and I. The owner was just getting there when we pulled up, she advised us that they have different hours right now, and not opened yet. We did a small shopping run and returned to this restaurant. We just ordered the Tower burgers, that came with fries. These burgers were vegan but I would never have guessed VEGAN. They were very good with a bit of hotter pepper, just my style. The fries were a little too salty for me, but my wife loved them. All in all we will go back here again as everything we tried was perfect and owner was very nice to us.

Yelp
Vegan have a bad rep for disgusting food that are wannabe meat but you know what? It's 2023! Vegan food are now absolutely delicious! I try to explore and eat everything and I am glad I did because I loved it! Hubby and I got the Fried Chick'N with maple mustard and that was amazing! The batter was so crispy and yummy!!! And we shared the tower Burger with fries and burger got a kick yo! Luckily I love spicy food but seriously, it'll kick yo mouth like woah but in a good way hahaha! Something about their oil bc them fries were also excellent. My first time trying kombucha and I picked the mango turmeric and no no no no no. That's all I'm gonna say. I love Vegan food and since I'm always in the neighborhood at H-Mart, (gotta support our Asian market) I'll definitely stop by every time I'm in the area!

Yelp
This is the best vegan restaurant in Chicagoland. There are a wide variety of menu items daily for lunch and dinner (closed Sunday/Monday). Our favorite is the Rueben, an enormous sandwich than can easily feed two. The Mac and Cheese is a nice side if you don't want the fries! The restaurant itself is clean and friendly with two areas to dine in. We often just get a tack-out. A real find in the Western suburbs!

Yelp
As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the staff who explains how their foods are locally sourced and use organic ingredients. I was a little skeptical at first but they explained the concept to me. After you place your order, they have a small area where they sell some of their parent company Manna Organics bread, nut butters, kale chips and snacks. They also sell a variety of non alcoholic drinks and kombucha. I ordered the Chicago Style hotdog which came with seasoned fries. They were very busy with walk-ins and carry out so the wait was over 25 minutes. The hot dog came with tomatoes, onions, relish, mustard and dill pickle and sprinkled with celery salt . The only thing missing were sport peppers and a steamed bun. The fries were very good and not oily but salty and I didn't taste and seasoning. Many people were ordering the cauliflower wings so I guess I will have to go back. Located in a busy strip mall..definitely worth a visit to the first plant based restaurant in the Western Burbs.

Yelp
I was meeting couple friends for lunch before the holidays. One of my friends is a vegan, and we decided to check out this restaurant. It's first time for all of us. This is a counter order service. There's a menu with clear indication of allergies, and every menu is vegan. The staff is friendly and patient with our questions. We had Buffalo Cauliflower as appetizer. For our lunch, we had Greek Soup, Fried Chik'n, American Burger (with Impossible Burger), and crinkle fries (best fries in my opinion). It was a good introduction to vegan food. The Fried Chik'n was made of Seitan. The coating was crispy, the texture was tender, and the flavor was robust. The soup was warm and comforting. Overall a good place to try out vegan foods. My friend who is vegan was quite pleasantly surprised to see a restaurant serving fully vegan menu. I am sure we will be back again.

Yelp
If you like FOOD, I'd suggest you come here. This is a vegan restaurant with LOADS of options and flavors that will leave you so fulfilled. Let me walk you through the experience: Starting out with my entry into the vegan kingdom, I received some of the best service Ive ever experienced. The server was super friendly, had recommendations and was very conversational. We talked to him a bit and decided on a plant based wrap that tastes like chicken and panang curry made with tofu. Food: The chicken wrap was good, flavorful and crunchy. The panang curry was ABSOLUTELY DIVINE. It has tofu and sweet potatoes with rice, it was quite filling and wonderfully delicious. Probably one of my favorite dishes I've had in a while. There was a wide selection on the menu, including an array of desserts. The Olipop and Mighty Manna bread were also fun additions. Truly enjoyed the ambiance, spacious seating, the food and the beautiful service. We've basically told all our friends (and even enemies!) in the area about this place ...we're coming back!!

Yelp
I was excited to try Manna Kitchen and I was not disappointed. We went on a Saturday and it was packed. The cashier/server handled the crowd calmly and quickly. We had to wait a bit to order because there were customers in line ahead of us. After we ordered we had to wait for a table to open, fortunately one did before our food arrived . The entire time we were there, there was a steady stream of customers. My husband tried the Hot Dog and fries and was not disappointed. The portion of the fries was very generous and the fries were excellent. I had the Sweet Chili Cauliflower Wings and was blown away. They cauliflower pieces were huge and the breading was crispy. The sauce was not overpowering and sweet. Since it was so crowded service was good, but we were not offered plates, silverware or napkins. The server was doing the best she could under the circumstances. The food was very good and if in the area I would definitely return.

Yelp
Always busy during dinner rush, parking can be a bit challenging especially on the weekends. Walked in and was greeted and given time to make our selections. Prices are a little bit on the higher side but that's expected given this genre. Decided to dine in, food took a little while to come out maybe 15 minutes. It was very fresh and hot. I will say like other people have mentioned about the tower burger ,it's mushy. Personally it didn't bother me ,but if you are looking for a more firm Patty or more resemblance to an authentic meat burger I would recommend the beyond Burger. Plenty of seating, lots of tables in the additional room. There are a lot of vegan snacks, different types of jerkies along the wall when you first walk in. Lots of different drink choices ,but the soda pop is very pricey at $4 a can. Overall I would give it a 4.5 but I'm giving it a 5 just because the service and the staff were very friendly.

Yelp
The food was amazing! That curry is fire: the perfect balance of sweet and heat, full of yummy veg and so tasty, and the portion was very substantial. The tower burger - I cannot even explain why it is so good: soft, flavorful, great toppings and sauce. Even the chips (too good to be called fires) - salted with flaky salt and not greasy. Great craft sodas & other drinks. And...those pastries!!! We bought 3 to take home and share. Divided them among family - vegans and non vegans. Everyone was amazed and wanted more. Even the staunchest non vegan loved them and didn't realize they were vegan until someone said something. Toast with the spread this morning was amazing too. We'll be back! Let's talk about the staff...what's amazing, welcoming, talented people. We set near the register to observe the customer service. They were kind with each other. They were patient with difficult customers. They were knowledgeable about substitutions for dietary concerns. Honesty, the staff alone would be a reason to go back.

Yelp
Can we get a 10 ?!! Greatest vegan options and taste I have ever had! Even in the big cities. This complete gem is a treasure for all of us western suburbanites. Warm greeting on entry and doors were open a few minutes early which is always a nice start. First thing you see when you walk in... bakery. Humongous cookies, cake slices. They all look " non vegan". That's my way to prep! I Started with the fried corn tacos filled with mashed potatoes. The fresh salsa made with cutting perfection fine and fresh ingredients! Ate every morsel. The guacamole, a small amount just enough to dip the corn taco into was also heavenly! Next into the club sandwich, loved the shiitake tofu protein sliced nice and thin along with the guacamole, lettuce, tomato, pickles and that bread! Not just from a bag kind of bread, so fresh but fried in a pan so it was nice and warm and had a touch of crunch but under you can clearly taste the soft. Carrying into the next entree I didn't eat the whole thing ( at first, I waited till later that evening) but the curry Panang! Was hot dang! I couldn't stop for each bite led me to another. Absolutely no skimping on tofu and the tofu was perfectly firm Right along with the sweet potatoes. This came With rice on the side. Easily a meal for 2. On the top was the tastiest mushroom - I believe enoki. Nice touch! Okay, don't judge me. I got the lemon poppyseed cookie. It just looked so moist. Huge and moist. Not one moment was a bore. Each bite softer than the other. The Lemon was just enough right along with the poppies. I just CANNOT get over the moist vibe. Thank goodness it was a large cookie for I couldn't stop The Manna date bread. I don't understand how it can be so moist?!!! No oil?! It's a dense loaf but the kind you hide so no one else eats it. WOW! Love this place! Love that it is so close to me! Cannot wait to get back!

Yelp
All vegan so those looking for plant based options should come here. It has things on the menu you wouldn't think could be plant based but they are so try pretty much everything if you can afford it. Manna is located far and way from other places like it out in Lisle. Good place to put something like this because there was a demand that wasn't being filled. The prices are as expected kind of high but are pretty reasonable for high quality vegan food like this. Came here on a vegan date. It was about the perfect place for one. The menu is entirely vegan. Also it's fairly nice inside while still being casual. They take your order at the counter and bring the food to your table. Both of us really wanted the Baked Mac N Cheeze. It's $11 for a pretty big portion. It's topped with veggie mushroom bacon. This has a very cheesy taste. In spite of no actual cheese. The fake bacon was crispy like the real thing. For dessert we had the Peanut Butter Chocolate Bar. It's about $6 each. This I thought was more pricey for the portion than the actual entree it seemed. Even so, it was almost worth that much and we didn't complain for too long about it. There was so much else to try but our stomachs and wallets couldn't take any more. Everything on the menu is vegan and plant based. It has a variety of styles including comfort, Mexican, and more. The prices are mostly affordable and the Mac N Cheeze is probably the best thing.

Yelp
Great vegan eats, including salads, bowls, sandwiches, sides, desserts, and more. Most ingredients created or prepped in-house, others chosen tastefully. We had the Righteous Rubin sandwich, the Manna Club Sandwich, fries, Southern Baked Beans, and, for dessert, carrot cake and Black Forest cake. The Rubin was the best, cakes were tasty. Everything we tried was great. Would go again, no question.

Yelp
Great place to eat, one of a kind food not found anywhere else! Very nice employees and peaceful environment.

Yelp
Have you tried eating vegan? I hadn't either really. My family has some problems with dairy though, so we have tried several options at home lately, but this was our first fully vegan restaurant. And it was good! Our lunch was a club sandwich, buffalo cauliflower, and sweet potato fries. Now substitutions are obvious and yet satisfying. Dried mushrooms for bacon doesn't sound like it is going to work. And I admit you can tell the difference. But it still scratches the itch and tastes good! We are used to beyond meats so the chick'n was no problem. And I love buffalo cauliflower, bettwr than buffalo chicken if I am honest. Seriously some good food with no animals harmed. Did you stick around? Then you get to know the secret. Try the cakes. They are wonderful. The carrot cake was hard to put down. The menu changes often though, so try what you can get.

Yelp
The moment you walk in you're greeted by a happy smiling face with a warm welcome! The space had nice vibes and had a private party section on the other part of the restaurant. My kiddos came with me and there were a couple options that they would actually go for (which I was pleasantly surprised by). They bring the food to your table after ordering and it was very quick. I ordered my kids some buttered elbow noodles and french fries... Can't go wrong with the classics! They ate them up and really loved the fries (myself included). The vegan cheese sauce was good too. It has a really nice consistency and flavor I wasn't expecting. I also ordered the tower burger with fries and it was SO AMAZING. I had read reviews prior to ordering and was not disappointed. It is a little messy so prepare yourself haha the tomato-ey puree combined with the fermented (yes it scared me at first too) veggie burger and crispy onion strings were a great combo and the chipotle aioli on top had a nice kick without being overwhelming. I definitely recommend that entree for first timers like myself... I even ate my leftovers for dinner and it was still just as yummy. I am curious as to what the other vegan meat and cheese substitutes taste like so I definitely would like to go again! And I'm by no means vegan whatsoever... But sustainable food is the future right? Happy eating!

Yelp
Visited for the first time on a Saturday afternoon at 2pm. Doors were locked even though there were people inside eating. A lady came to the front door and told us that they were not letting people in even though there were available tables. No signs posted announcing temporary closure. Apparently they were under staffed for the day. We were told to come back with no time when they would re-open.

Yelp
Recently came back from the airport and wanted a place to eat a really healthy meal. Absolutely loved this place. It's got great positive vibes upon entering. Tons of great drinks to choose from, even their organic soda. The food is fairly priced and our host was really kind and friendly the whole experience. It's a nice quiet place, I wouldn't say it's a romantic place but very casual. It gets great foot traffic too. Some of the best burgers and tofu too! I tried some of their coleslaw too which wasn't bad either.

Yelp
Went here for the first time for lunch and liked it so much took my wife for dinner the same day! Service is courteous and quick. Had the BBQ cauliflower wings which are healthy and tasty. The Rueben sandwich is filling. Enjoyed the tofu masala bowl with the right of amount of spice, not too hot. Asked to have extra cilantro which added a nice touch. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
My sister arranged for takeout for us. She eats here often and loves everything. I am a vegetarian and need to eat gluten-free and she's an omnivore who is super open to trying new things. We each had the burrito bowls with tempeh. I dislike creamy things and ordered mine without sour cream, which they still added, but I was able to scoop most of it out. I should have skipped the "creamy queso", too. That was my mistake, so I take full responsibility. It made the whole dish quite moist and saturated. My sister loved her meal plus a side of jack fruit crab cakes. I appreciate the skill and effort that went into the dishes, but I'm afraid they just weren't for me. But I will give 4 stars as the food was served hot, ready on time, and the quality was good, just not my cup of tea. I'll return soon and hopefully be able to increase my rating to 5 stars.

Yelp
I was expecting more from Manna, but I was left slightly disappointed given all the rave reviews. I really did like the option to purchase a variety of healthy alternative foods, such as different local nut butters, cake options, etc. I think their offering really contributes to the message of the kitchen. Cauliflower wings - the flavor was great, but didn't end up seeping through the cauliflower - just stayed on the outside. This was my favorite dish of the two just because the flavoring was awesome. I really liked that they included the dressing as well! Manna burger - my burger was just too heavy and soggy! I didn't find the burger to have much flavor and thought my fries were almost stale tasting. I will say, the decor is great! I liked how the interior dining area is really spacious, and they have outdoor seating available for the warmer months. I will definitely come back to try the other dishes customers rave about, but just found the dishes I tried to fall flat.
