Where to Eat Korean Food in Denver | Eater Denver

"Speaking of lack of atmosphere, this tiny cafe hidden without signage on the second floor of an office building leaves decoration to a few tables, a mounted whiteboard menu in Korean, and a stack of cardboard boxes. No matter. The sweet ladies who run it light the place right up as they turn out soothingly fragrant soups like samgyetang with rice-stuffed chicken, ginseng, and egg and the beef-noodle soup called seolleongtang, accompanied by dishes of seasoned salt and chile paste for flavoring to taste (as well as a rainbow of kimchi and other banchan, of course)." - Ruth Tobias

You would never expect to find such a phenomenal restaurant at a hospital. The food was unbelievably good and high class in an approachable setting. We were thoroughly impressed with each dish we got. The chef certainly knows how to pair unique flavors together. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in the area.

Google
Ok yes it's in a hospital but that just means the food is more or less for sure allergen free. The food is priced super well made super well and has a fantastic rotation of foods. I love them I go as often as possible and I am gifted with hearty food. Want to go more inexpensively? Get the soup trio 8 dollars 3 soups and you can get free coffee from the self service so this could probably be stretched as a light meal for 2 or a full meal for 1

Everything we ate was delicious!! Burgers, pizza, chicken strips, french fries, dessert, EVERYTHING!! Don’t let the location deter you from trying the food. The price for this quality would been triple elsewhere.

Google
So Manna’s restaurant is located in the hospital. This unassuming restaurant is awesome and provide quality food at a reasonable price. We come here often when we are in the area. This is a must try!

Google
What a fabulous experience! We had our Friday night "date night" at Manna. The menu is unique with something for everyone! The staff were ALL friendly, and service was top notch! We can't wait to come back and try more!! Highly recommend the brick oven pizza with homemade crust; fresh salad bar offerings and the garlic parsnip soup was fantastic! You also won't be disappointed with the buffalo chicken dumplings!

Editing from 3 years ago. Great food for a hospital. Probably one of the best restaurants in all of Castle Rock. However.. I should have stuck with my usual Lamb burger or tried the special or something on my last visit. The 16” pizza (plain cheese) was well done and way more crispy than I like it. Not sure if I got someone else’s pizza or they forgot about mine or that’s how they are cooked for all varieties. But the bottom crust was falling off from the top, was like hard flavorless cardboard. Normally I love thin crust pizza with a crispy crust but this was not what I grew up with in the northeast. I couldn’t get a good enough taste of it and am not sure I will get pizza from here again.

Google
This is the best gluten free restaurant you can visit. They actually have gluten free fries, fried is separate oil from gluten containing foods. The down side is they aren't open on weekends, and they are closed at weird times like the day before holidays, and on random days for employees events. It's a good idea to call and see if this place is open before dropping by.

I recently visited this restaurant inside the hospital in Castle Rock and I was blown away by the incredible experience I had. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the most friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond to ensure I had a great dining experience. The prices were incredibly low, especially considering the high quality of the food and service. I was impressed with the selection of dishes, and decided to try the short braised beef dish which was absolutely delicious. The beef was tender and juicy, and the flavor was rich and complex. I also appreciated the generous portion size, which left me feeling satisfied without breaking the bank. But what really made my experience stand out was the amazing customer service. The staff was attentive and responsive to all of my needs, making sure that I had everything I needed to enjoy my meal. They were friendly and engaging, taking the time to chat with me and make me feel welcome. I’ve had quite a few restaurants in castle rock and this place blows them away by comparison. This is an absolute gem at the hospital. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic meal with excellent customer service, low prices, and amazing flavors. The short braised beef dish was a standout, but I'm sure all of the other menu items are just as fantastic. Five stars all around!

Yelp
Let's start with, I know it's at the hospital and that part it strange considering the level of food they serve but I'll had to move past that part eventually and so should you. We moved here 5.5 years ago from Chicago. We heard from many people that we had to check out Manna and I think we were all secretly weirded out but the thought of going to the hospital to dine. I have had some serious health issues since childhood so hospital food by its very definition is not appealing but this is NOT hospital food. I promise! We finally went to Manna last year for the first time when we had some family in town and we needed to find somewhere close to home to go eat. We sat at the big table by the window and John was our server. We ordered everything you could imagine off their menu and not a single complaint from any of the 8 people with us that day. John was WONDERFUL!! I have to give him a huge shout out for his attention to detail, kindness and knowledge of the menu. We even had some obscure question that he didn't know the answer to he promptly ran into the kitchen to ask the chef. I love their limited menu. Less options means they are focusing on making every dish perfect and that's ok! This is how more restaurants should do it. Their pizzas are great. We love the prosciutto with mozzarella. I've probably had it about 7 times since. Their burgers are awesome. Nice quality ingredients and made fresh. The buns are never stale and they brand them with a "M" every burger, every time. Their fries are always fresh and delicious. Nothing is greasy and I think that's why we like them so much. We love our calories but we are not fans of grease at this house so we tend to favor restaurants that are not greasy. These folks definitely qualify. The staff here are friendly and did you know all their tips are donated to the hospital? I love this. We were assured by our server that they are well paid and in support of this arrangement. I love it. We order from here probably every few weeks or maybe once a month since our first visit and being that we cook VERY well at home, says a lot about our neighborhood Manna. Thanks for all you do guys! We love you!

Yelp
This restaurant is located in AdventHealth Castle Rock right by the main entrance. As an employee you can use your badge to pay which is nice! This is truly an elevated hospital dining experience. Most hospitals just have few selections for food but this restaurant has a full menu and wait staff. The food comes out fast and they are very friendly. Everything we tried was delicious. They have weekly menu options for a special burger and pizza of the week. You can also order ahead for pickup too which is a nice touch. If you're loved one is in the hospital this is a nice reprieve and escape from visiting the hospital. There is plenty of seating inside and if you take your food Togo there are outdoor areas to sit as well.

Yelp
Weird spot off the lobby of the local hospital with OK'ish service but tasty and healthy food and a salad bar.
google avatar

Eileen B.

Yelp
Located in Advent Hospital, and easy to access -- enter thru Emergencty entrance/Main Not your typical hospital food. Nice pizzas -- can order gluten free crust. My favorite is the Diamond Ridge. Great salad bar. Tips go directly to charity.

Yelp
This is probably one of the best "hospital" cafeteria I've ever seen. Foods are reasonably priced and completely customizable. The Yucatán cauliflower taco was very delicious, as the cauliflower is soft and flavorful and sweet, though I'd wish they had corn tortillas option instead soft wheat tortillas. The crispy Brussels sprout was very toasty and a bit bitter but that's expected with Brussels sprout. We had cojita on the side from the taco so it's perfect to sprinkle on the Brussels sprouts. The custom pizza was the best, fresh ingredients thin crust, flavorful. Just what we wanted. Since they close on weekends we ended up ordering more, like the Colorado Lamb Burger with blueberry sauce and local goat cheese. The flavor was great and unique! And some Mac and cheese for the kids. The younger ones didn't like the Mac and cheese because it's probably creamier than they are used to (which is actually more preferably for adult palate).

Yelp
This restaurant is so good. Worth the drive down from Denver for sure! Trying to recreate the flank steak foccocia for dinner!

Iphone 1.

Yelp
Servers are all very nice and food is always cheap and tastes amazing, Love the religious side of it.

Yelp
This is one of the better meals I've had in Castle Rock. Pizzas are handmade and cooked in a proper pizza oven, tasted great. I got the steak, cooked perfectly and tasted good. A little under seasoned maybe for the relative thickness, but a minor critique. We will be back.

Terry H.

Yelp
Yikes - $76 for two - so much for much lower meal costs at Manna. We had a wedge salad (teeny, not that good (which is very surprising for Manna whose dishes are almost always super flavorful and delicious) and it costs $10! I had the steak dinner, which had potatoes and broccoli on the plate - good stuff. But my wife had the salmon dinner, which had fish on humus - not a dinner plate at all, So disappointing and expensive (for Manna) and the service was friendly but slow (and that happens once in a while). We'll go back but will order items we know, or get very specific about their specials.

Yelp
Soooooo I have been going here for awhile now each time I go visit my brother. It's a must go for us to eat. It's a hospital restaurant haha. It's inside a hospital and they have pretty damn good food for hospital food. They change their menus a lot too so you get different dishes to try. When we recently went to visit we had the Thai curry pork cutlet which was so good! It has crispy jasmine rice! The curry was bomb! Definitely wish they gave more hahah! Their cilantro lime wings was good too! My brother always orders their elote totes which is good too! Their kids meals come with a drink and dessert! Can't go wrong with that for $7! We definitely always come back so def a must try if you haven't been yet! Don't get discouraged by the hospital haha the food is good!
google avatar

Lauren M.

Yelp
First of all, the service is second to none. The food has a very curated taste that makes it feel home cooked- I had the tomato soup and grilled cheese! And the prices were amazing!

Amy W.

Yelp
Always interesting delicious foods and a very pleasant staff. Money well spent. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Yes it is inside the hospital just left after you enter The 3 soup sampler was nice, beef broth meh, but the clam chowder and tomatoe soup was dope! I got the pickle pizza and because i wasnt into pickles so much the big chunks of pickles was too much, i thought they woulda been sliced other than that it was all good! Service was fantastic much class and politenes! Ambiance is very nice too i sat at the bar.

Yelp
#1 most awesome deal in dinning! Stopped by to try the new menu! Cola braised short rib and Lebanese Muhammara! Beyond delicious!

Jacqueline M.

Yelp
Fantastic food and service!! It's my Moms favorite restaurant in the world and is definitely a new go to for me! My kids even love their food... Everyone is happy when we eat here :)

Yelp
What an amazing surprise this place was! I almost didn't go, but thankfully trusted the other reviews. The food was astounding!! Go! Enjoy!! And tip well...all tips go to charity!

Yelp
Have never had a bad meal at Manna. Everything has been 5 star quality or better. People my think this is a hospital cafeteria, but it is the furthest from it. Manna gets recommended in FB groups for places to go and have Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. It is in the normal rotation of places to go and eat for this family.
google avatar

Susan B.

Yelp
This is not hospital food. It is exception food prepared in a healthy manner. Pizzas are first class. Soups are to die for. House made gelato changes daily and is delicious. You can't beat the prices.

Pam L.

Yelp
The whole experience was 5 star from start to finish. The servers were friendly and because it was my first time, helpful with suggestions. I ordered the Chicken Katsu. Off the charts flavor. I wanted to lick the plate good. The ambiance is quiet, the decor is modern and it wasn't so noisy that you couldn't hear your party talking. Impressed!!!!

Joanna A.

Yelp
Each week I have lunch with family and or friends. Decided to look for a new restaurant than the ones we go to and enjoy. Would like to share an incredible experience (who knew) at Manna restaurant. With casual ambience, that serves (no pun intended) a cornucopia of delicious food, locally sourced, (where the menu lists the vendors that they purchase from), each dish is marked with letters so you know if it is (V, Vegan, GF, if it contains nuts, etc). The service is excellent, at a price that is NOT to be believed! You can leave a tip, which you should, (here's the caveat) the tip is donated to charity). The location was a bit of a surprise let alone a shock. Located in the lobby of a hospital. That's right, you heard me, in the lobby of Advent Health, in Castle Rock, Colorado. When our server asked us if this was our first time dining at Manna, we were told we were in for a wonderful culinary surprise. During our meal we were greeted by Dan Shay, thanking us for coming and explained what Manna is all about! Kudos and accolades to Manna, its staff, for the excellence of its food, service, conscience of how a restaurant should do business!

Yelp
People always do a double take when we say that one of our favorite restaurants is at the hospital. But it's true, this is one of our favorite places! The food consistency and quality has gone slightly down in the last few years (I'm blaming covid and staffing) but it's still really good. Especially for the price! We can feed our whole family including an appetizer (or two!) and beverages for under $40...that's nearly unheard of nowadays! The kids meals are huge...my son always has leftovers for the next day. His favorite part is the little cup of gelato he gets after the meal! I love that it has a seasonal menu (although it doesn't seem to change as frequently in the last year) so there's always new stuff to try. The service sometimes isn't super attentive/great but not terrible.

Emilie M.

Yelp
They've changed the menu and the majority of the items are spicy as in middle eastern spices, curry, etc. For a hospital, you would think they would have some comfort food style offerings, but even the waiter said that most of the food has a certain kick to it. My tummy couldn't handle it.

Terri D.

Yelp
Food was tasty. Service was fairly fast. Atmosphere was nice, given that it was inside the hospital.

Dan M.

Yelp
2 times in a row closed mid afternoon?!! They have short week as it is now you can't expect them to be open when they're supposed to be! Whatis they're problem?
google avatar

Kris S.

Yelp
The food at Manna is always stellar and the service staff are always pleasant. we go here at least once a week if possible. It really is one of the top, if not the top restaurant in Castle Rock.

Mike P.

Yelp
Great food for a hospital or actually anywhere in the Castle Rock area! Try them now!
google avatar

Matt B.

Yelp
Get the heck out of here! The best food I have had in Colorado since moving here! The 4x4 burger out of this world. The staff so sweet and welcoming! No tipping allowed so I always give to the charity they have attached! Could not be a better place for incredible food
google avatar

Christian B.

Yelp
Manna is an underrated Castle Rock gem - This unassuming little restaurant at the bottom of the Adventist Hospital provides guests with a surprisingly gourmet dining experience in intimate booths in a quiet area off the lobby. Manna has a wide variety of amazing Vegan options including dairy-free cheese, plant-based meats, and a range of customizable plates that can be made vegan after removing an ingredient or so. This restaurant is tip-free so the staff receives a wage without relying on gratuity and they're routinely helpful and friendly. For the high grade of food offered Manna is amazingly affordable and oftentimes we leave paying less than $35 for two people including an appetizer. Definitely check out Manna as it's one of Castle Rock's best dining experiences with actual chefs in the kitchen, seasonal menus, and cozy vibe.
google avatar

Pete S.

Yelp
Service is horrible ambiance is awful it's located in a hospital I would not recommend coming here ever!

Maria Teresa L.

Yelp
Nos encantó! Comida rica y diferente !!!! Volveremos!! Quiero probar la sopa de tomate con burrata!!! Rico

Abi R.

Yelp
The Manna is my favorite restaurant in Colorado! The prices are excellent and the food is always tasty. They have a unique menu with items or entrees that you can't get anywhere else. They rotate their menu every so often with new entrees or mains as they call them, with new intriguing combinations. At one point my favorite dish was a pumpkin prepared fish with a marshmallow glaze with steamed fruit served with it. It was amazing. My favourite items to order are the Diamond Ridge pizza and the Cinnamon Sugar Plantains. The Diamond Ridge pizza is a combination of beef prosciutto, fig preserves, fresh mozzarella, gorgonzola, parmesan, and balsamic glaze. It is FANTASTIC! The staff and service is always pleasant and do well to answer questions about the items. I always go to the Manna if I have the chance. They are closed on Sundays and Saturdays.
google avatar

Kelly T.

Yelp
You wouldn't think to go here since it's located in the hospital, but it has delicious food!
google avatar

Dawn A.

Yelp
The ramen was so good, my son won't stop taking about it! That's the typical experience when ordering at Manna. All of the food is good...and that's no exaggeration! The outside is a very unassuming and the entrance looks as if it's a typical cafeteria. That couldn't be further from the actual truth. The inside looks and feels like a nice restaurant. You'll completely forget it's attached to a hospital! A definite hidden gem!
google avatar

Jillian C.

Yelp
This restaurant is an interesting cross-section of fancy restaurant and cafeteria. Staff were not super attentive but were nice. Prices are outstanding. The burgers are delicious! The other things we ordered were...odd. The flavors didn't come together well. Nothing was poor quality, just not worth getting.
google avatar

Carol S.

Yelp
I have been eating here for years and remember the first time someone told me about it AND said it was located inside CR Adventist. A great restaurant in a hospital? How can that be? This place is seat yourself, but they have wait staff that waits on you after you've sat down. The food is creative and delish. I've yet to have a less than wonderful meal there. Just wish it wasn't a 30 min drive. In fact, the only complaint I do have is that they don't serve liquor and aren't open on the weekends. I wish they would have an entrance from the outside so as to avoid having to enter the actual hospital lobby where they still require masks. Ugh! I still didn't wear one. And the fact that the hospital requires the employees of the restaurant to wear masks it complete and total overreach. There isn't a restaurant in the entire state requiring masks, except this one. Enough already.
google avatar

Randy M.

Yelp
The food is amazing. The staff is even better. I wish every hospital had a place like Manna.

Maggie H.

Yelp
Chef Billy is fantastic! I wish this had a 2nd non-hospital location so folks would be more inclined to dine here. Chef Billy puts incredible care into everything he makes. The dude is a rockstar.
google avatar

Sarah H.

Yelp
My partner and I were tooling around Castle Rock when hunger pangs hit. Not being familiar with the area, I pulled up Yelp to see what was highly rated in the area. We were hesitant to visit a restaurant in a hospital, but the sheer volume of enthusiastic reviews convinced us to give it a go. So glad we did! The atmosphere was a very pleasant surprise - beautifully decorated, comfortable, and sleek. Our server was a wonderful friendly woman who joked and conversed with us throughout our meal. We ordered a ton of food because we couldn't decide on what looked best. That was okay because the prices are so reasonable, we could afford to pick and choose and take the leftovers home for future meals! We were very pleased with the variety on the menu and the quality of the food we tried. We are looking forward to visiting Manna again the next time we are down south!
google avatar

Lori H.

Yelp
A+++! Excellent menu options. Great place for birthday lunch for a friend. The Pickle Pizza (not sure of the exact name) was interestingly very good! Try it! You'll like it!!

Alexa S.

Yelp
Great food. A new special daily for reasonable pricing. No alcohol license which isn't bad, just something to know.
google avatar

Kathy D.

Yelp
Incredible! Who willingly goes to the hospital to eat? This hidden gem should be on your list of regular places to eat - lunch, dinner or date night. Wonderful service, fabulous food (tasty with beautiful presentation), quiet setting and affordable prices. The menu is locally sourced, creative and eclectic. Manna is located in the lobby of Castle Rock Adventist Hospital.
google avatar

Joe Y.

Yelp
Hidden gem at the Casterly Rock. The restaurant is located in the hospital entrance on the west side of building. It's weird coming to a hospital for food but if you think about it, the doctors and patients probably need healthy food right? Lots of superfood options for gluten free people and vegans. You sit at a booth and your servers will take your order. They don't accept tips! You pay at the end and the cashier has a tip jar which you choose a non-profit to give your tips to if you choose. Price is reasonable and my favorite is the salad bowl for $5 and they have sliced beets, we've got the beets we've got the beets... yea!
google avatar

Toni N.

Yelp
I can't believe this place is in a hospital. It is so good and I will be coming back! They regularly change menu items and have amazing prices. Soups are 4 dollars for example. I got the Nashville hot chicken katsu and I wish I could have it everyday. It was plated beautifully and I would give it a million stars if possible. Everyone needs to come here. Don't be fooled that it's in a hospital!
google avatar

Eric C.

Yelp
Nice to see a great restaurant in a hospital. Adam and Chef Dan do a great service there. Bring your family by and get some good food at a fair price.
google avatar

Steve Y.

Yelp
We were looking for something different and we found it. This gourmet food is prepared to order and is amazing!! We tried the cola braised short ribs and the Chicken Katsu. Never had either but we have now found a favorites. Don't let the location ( in the hospital, yes in the hospital,) fool you. The servers were so attentive and spot on. Orders are cooked to order, and you must come early, but it is worth it. Looking for a new local place with something different, you have to check this place out!! A repeat for sure!!
google avatar

Ellen H.

Yelp
So I made a trip to the hospital just to check out this restaurant and I am so glad we did! We got the roasted asparagus and local mushroom tacos. When I bit into them I was so delighted! I couldn't believe how many great flavors were encompassing my taste buds. The presentation was beautiful as well! I know I will be coming back here for them! The gluten-free Panko crusted chicken wings with the aioli were just as tasty! I loved the Meyer lemon aioli! It came on a black slate with aioli on the bottom for you to dip. I also got a small plate at the salad bar because they had so many options up there! Grape leaves, fava bean and sun-dried tomato salad, and another cauliflower, artichoke and feta! Everything had the perfect balance and flavors! We were definitely not expecting this place to be that good! I can see myself coming here again!
google avatar

Adrienne A.

Yelp
Giving back never tasted so good! Fish sandwich, brussel sprouts, and plantains were each equally delicious. My boyfriend shockingly went for the all you can eat salad bar because of the options they had. Aesthetically I thought the decor was pretty nice. It felt like a really nice casual kitchen. My first course was the brussel sprouts. I would describe them as tasty and fun! Fun because they were fried (or was it grilled?) making the outside layers light and crispy. Tasty because the sauce on the plate was a little sweet which was a nice contrast to the bitterness sprouts tend to have. Second course was the fish sandwich. Its crust was a perfect buttery golden color. The fresh cut veggies looked and tasted like they could have literally come straight out of the garden moments before. Dessert was the plantains. Delicious! The plantains definitely are sweet, however I didn't care for the avocado sauce that came with them. PROS Appropriate Portions Pricing - You can afford to eat here on the regular Quality - everything looked and tasted super fresh Rotating menu - I like that I can look forward to different items on the menu as season change Local Produce & Farms CONS Easy to miss because it's located inside the hospital I would like to see more vegetarian and vegan options It's confusing what the "protocol" is when you arrive... I didn't see (I could have missed it) signage that told us to seat ourselves or wait. No alcohol - it's in a hospital so I get it Overall... this place is delicious, easy on the budget, and a great conversation starter because it's in a hospital (not to mention that tips are donated towards local community wellness).
google avatar

Yelp
Top place to eat in castle rock for me right now. Moved here recently and have been upset at the lack of culinary scene or good food. Came here yesterday and OMG this place is amazing and super affordable. At first my husband and I did 3 circles around the parking lot until we realized we actually had to go in the hospital. Cons: - bathroom is down the hall in the hospital lobby - no alcohol - it's in a hospital Pros: everything else!! - Super Cheap deal for awesome sustainable fresh and delicious food - tips get donated to community programs - chefs Bar top table open view of kitchen - The food actually tastes amazing and has great presentation - the food is sourced locally and they have have a garden THIS PLACE IS A MUST TRY AND TOP CONTENDER IN THE CULINARY SCENE OF CASTLE ROCK

Yelp
Hospital food? 4 stars? You better believe it! Other than an overcooked burger, everything was excellent.
