Where to Eat and Drink in Arvada | Eater Denver

"Arvada’s casual Belgian-style frites shop was inspired by its European predecessors. The frites are hand-cut, cooked twice, and tossed with sea salt. Served piping hot in paper cones, their sauces include ketchup, mayonnaise, and peanut butter. They are best enjoyed in the bier garden." - Gigi Sukin

The place is basic and nice, and the most important thing is that they have great fries.

We had Kapsalon, very fair price for very good location and good quality of food. Right in the city center. A lot of seats on the terras, nice to enjoy food and a view of beautiful street, and a few seats inside. Very good fries, a lot of cheese and meat, tasty sauce

This place is an absolute disaster from start to finish. The customer service is beyond unacceptable — you’re treated like a burden the second you walk in. Rude, dismissive staff who act like doing their job is a personal favor. No welcome, no basic courtesy, just pure attitude. As for the food? A complete joke. The fries were swimming in oil, soggy, undercooked, and tasted like they’d been sitting in a deep fryer since last week. Zero freshness, zero care, and zero pride in what they serve. It’s shocking that a business can survive while serving food this greasy and unpleasant. The atmosphere is equally miserable — loud, chaotic, and tense. You don’t feel like a customer, you feel like an inconvenience. I left with a stomachache and the lingering thought that I should’ve just gone home hungry.

I can’t say it’s the best fries I’ve ever eaten, but this one was pretty good too. The sauces of the hamburgers and the size of the meat were good. It’s worth coming for sure

The Manneken Frites is a very good fast food eatery in a very central location in Brussels. The French fries are excellent (and a middle-sized with sauce is 4euros). And fortunately they don‘t have long waiting times or queues, so service is not only very friendly yet also very quick. Highly recommendable when you fancy a snack. Enjoy!

Terrible service. It was really hard to communicate with the staff. They didn’t give us a receipt after we paid. They brought us an extra portion of fries, and we thought maybe we had accidentally ordered it because of the poor communication with the staff. Suddenly, another employee came over and started yelling at us, accusing us of trying to cheat them. We explained that it was probably a misunderstanding and that we were going to pay for it. The man kept shouting and was extremely inappropriate. I do not recommend this place—it leaves a very bad impression. It was clear they were trying to scam us out of extra money, especially since they refused to let us pay by card and demanded cash. Avoid this place at all costs.

Google
Manneken Fries on Rue du Midi in Brussels is a fantastic spot for anyone craving delicious Belgian 🇧🇪 fries. The fries are succulent and perfectly cooked, offering a delightful crunch with every bite. The variety of sauces available adds an amazing flavor dimension, allowing you to customize your experience, we opted for a samurai and a mayonnaise . The atmosphere is busy from the street side , but welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy a quick snack or a leisurely bite. After tasting their fries, you’ll definitely want to come back for more. Overall, Manneken Fries is nice to visit for both locals and tourists looking for a tasty treat in Brussels.

This restaurant is small and quaint but has so much to offer in terms of the food and drinks offered. The burgers are fantastic and the rose-ish beer I had was so amazing. I’d definitely go back!

Yelp
Classic fries near the Manneken Pis! I visited in summer and it was nice to sit out on the bustling street . Service was fast and the fries were delicious. They were extra filling, and my friend and I should have shared a single order instead of getting an order each. As a tourist visiting from Canada, I appreciated the fact the fries were made in beef fat instead of rancid vegetable - you'd be charged an arm and leg in North America for this.

Yelp
I think this place would be better served to keep the frozen food out of sight from the customer. They have a lot of frozen food out in the open in the glass casing. That being said I don't think the potatoes were frozen. They looked fresh and made the right way. In Brussels it would be sacreligious to serve frozen frites. These were crunchy on the outside with a soft interior. They were pretty good but probably not my first choice frites if I went back to Brussels. Seems like this is a late night spot where you don't really care what you are eating you just need food. The bathroom looked like it needed serious work and wasn't clean which is not a good sign. This place needs a little sprucing up and it would be better. Not sure I would come back with the plethora of frite places in town.

Yelp
It's crap... less quality than fast food! They have no spice, no pepper, no jalapeños, no spice whatsoever!! And they're only answer was... "Oh well!"

Yelp
Horrible service. I ordered frites with the sauce on the side. They gave me my order with sauce, I told them no sauce, the worker got angry and flipped the frites in a pan with other frites and repacked it again( mind you there are still pieces with sauce on it) and handed it to me. I explained I don't want any sauce, the worker insisted that there is no sauce on it and was annoyed and angry, so I said no thank you that I would like a refund, which he refused me, so I just walked out the store with out the frites and with out my money. This is not an honorable establishment and for a first time visitor who was excited, truly ruined the experience and was rude to me in front of the other customers as well. I also think the workers were racist. Treat the customers with respect. If I could give a 0 I would have.

Yelp
It way fries-day on a Thursday. We've been hitting up local friteries to find the best fries in Brussels. This week we decided to hit one that wasn't on any of the best of lists. We've eaten at a handful of fries spots downtown but this time we decided to give Manneken Frites a short. We didn't really have high expectations going into this place but when we arrived the line was short and I ordered right away. They only have one size of fruits and it costs €3.70, with a sauce. The wife ordered mayonnaise in I ordered andalouse sauce. It appears that uses William sauces which are actually pretty good. Overall the fries were really good. They weren't over fried and they were right out of the fryer. With Fritland not too far away, I think that manneken frites sometimes gets overlooked, or classified as a tourist spot. but I have to say the phrase that we had at American foods were better than some of the fries we've had at Fritland in the past. They don't however take cards so you must pay with cash. this is one of the only downsides. They also don't have any original sauces, they are all Williams sauces. If that line is too long at Fritland definitely jump over to Manneken Frites and get just as good of a quality fry.

Yelp
So I've been here twice, the first time was my first time in Belgium, and the second, well, my second time, lol. I went back because I enjoyed the food the first time. i won't say they are the best frites I've eaten, but I will say that they are pretty good, good enough for me to go back. The next time I'm out there, I'll be sure to check other spots for comparison, but This is not a bad choice for a quick bite to eat.

Yelp
I think that Belgian frites are overrated and this place confirmed my analysis. Oy Belgium! - Stop frickin' charging me so much for ketchup! Added about 20% to the price here to get them smothered in the red stuff.

Yelp
Great little place. Nice food on offer. As you can see from the pictures. They have a great size menu. The place is very clean, and the cooks are very friendly. Make sure to pop in, as it has seating too:)

Yelp
This place was fantastic. We were in Brussels only for the day. We asked around where a really good place was to get some frites. One of the locals mentioned Manneken Frites so we tried it and we were not disappointed. The frites were amazing. The Andalouse sauce was incredible. Great place.

Yelp
This place was okay for a late night snack but these are not the real Belgian frites!!! This place serves regular cut fries out of a bag and says they're legit. I'm telling you they aren't. The rest of their food, burgers and whatnot is very average nothing special and a bit pricy. The place is half outside as well so on a not so nice day you are stuck cramped inside. Something to think about. If you are looking for the best and most authentic Belgian frites, they are located on the corner of a small street in the middle of the square coming down from central station. The place is called Belgian frities. Always a line but worth the wait.

Yelp
Delicious!! I had my first frites here with sauce Andalouse. Small place, good to make a pit stop too on a day of walking around the city.

Yelp
Hot, tasty, affordable frites near Grand Place. Crispy outside, fluffy inside with just enough grease to bolster the flavor. Mayonnaise is excellent and they're generous with it. Very busy late at night, especially Thursday through the weekend. Surprised at the quality considering how many drunken tourists they serve.

Maurizio V.

Yelp
Mediocre. If you're a tourist you might like this place, but that would mainly indicate you haven't faintest idea of where to look for proper fries.
