"Located in the Arcade downtown, Manny's House of Pizza has been owned and operated by Brooklyn native Manny Macca since 1984. The restaurant underwent some major renovations in 2017 and emerged as popular as ever, with Macca still tossing dough in the window and Manny’s still serving New York-style slices to hordes of hungry lunch patrons." - Eater Staff, Delia Jo Ramsey

Went in for a slice and it was amazing!!! As soon as I finished went back in line for more. They were out of the pizza rolls at the time but was offered one if I was willing to wait and I gratefully accepted. The made me my own roll on the spot and 15 minutes later I was enjoying one of the best types of pizza I have ever had. I am only visiting for a couple days but I will be back before I leave!

Incredible slices! Thin, nice crisp, good flavor. Little bit of flop. Old school NY pizza here. Line out the door but it moves fast. Can’t wait to go back and try other options! 8.2 that’s a review 🍕

When homesick, I bring myself or ask my girlfriend to hit Manny's House of Pizza. Manny's is by far the best NY style pizza downtown Nashville. Convenient location, excellent customer service and is run by the family. Manny continues to make the pies so don't miss out!

This is a great spot for lunch. If you plan to dine in, I would a lot allot an hour because there is usually a line outside the door. I got the specialty pizza with all of the toppings and it was huge! More than enough for one person and it was delicious. Perfect place for your cheat meal. 😂

Google
Great family-owned pizza joint, with really nice folks in the Arcade. If you get there right about 12:00, the line will likely be out the door - but don't give up, it moves fast and it's worth a little wait. My favorite is the pepperoni and mushroom - I guess I couldn't ever wait to take a picture of it so I put the stromboli instead (which was also delicious!) If you get lucky enough to catch a Sicilian (deep-dish), don't miss out - Manny will make you one to order, of course - but I lucked into getting a middle piece and had them stick some pepperoni on it...it was fantastic! Don't let the small store front fool you, there's PLENTY of seating in the back...and if you don't want to buck the line on your way out, just go out the side door exit (not readily apparent where it's at - to the right of the end of the serving line...)

Google
Been eating lunch at Manny's for 12 years now. Family owned and run. Such a pleasant experience. If you want the best NY Pizza in Nashville look no further. Great crisp with quality sauce and ingredients. Try the lasagna too.. Got me 2 slices for lunch while in downtown. Always a treat!

Google
Absolutely the best pizza that my boyfriend and I have ever had. I am obsessed with the cheese pizza, and he LOVES the Hitman pizza. The hitman is a pizza on top of a pizza! SO GOOD. Manny is super friendly and makes the best pizza around. A MUST-HAVE if you’re in town!

Carrie

Google
Best Pizza Ever !! If you haven't eaten here you absolutely should. I also ordered a cannoli an it was amazing an the shell was still crispy 💗❤💗

Jordan P.

Yelp
Amazing is how I can start this! This is a local family owned pizza shop. I was greeted with kindness as soon as I walked in. The daughter of the owner even brought my dog water as she can tell he needed it. The pizza was ready quick and was hot! Pizza slices are large and absolutely scrumptious! I honestly could order a whole pie and eat it alone. If you're looking for a good spot to get out of the heat of Nashville this is located inside an arcade. Has outdoor seating with shade and fans. Would totally be back before I leave Nashville!

Buddy B.

Yelp
I found this spot by luck on Yelp. I thought I'd try it and had the best pizza I've ever had. Maybe one of the best things I've ever tasted. The crust alone is worth 6 stars. Ingredients were incredible, from the salty anchovies to the earthy olives. If your in downtown Nashville, hit the alley and find Manny's. You won't be disappointed.

Grant E.

Yelp
Hidden away in the arcade (you'd never know it's there unless you walk by) , Manny's serves up classic New York style slices. Thin bodied with a nice crust to it these big slices are some of the better in the Nashville area. Prices are very reasonable and taste is king.

Johnny M.

Yelp
We love you Manny. I was truly saddened to read today that you're closing after 39 years. It's my hope that you do reopen in the Arcade. But if that can't happen, I hope you'll want to make your fantastic food at another location for many more years. Thanks for being such a good friend to everyone who ever walked through your door.

Lilia O.

Yelp
Food was delicious! Service was excellent. Order way before closing as they stop taking orders hours ahead of close. Deep dish had to be ordered 24 hours ahead so we were not able to try it.

Morgan J.

Yelp
Pizza was awesome and the service was very personable. Family owned shop that was walking distance to the bars on broadway

April P.

Yelp
Finally made my way downtown and tried Manny's. I came Friday after 1pm the munch crowd has passed. The line was the door I probably waited 10 minutes. The guy was quick to get my order and super friendly. I got 2 cheese and 2 pep pizza. It's a huge pizza one slice and you'll be content. The sauce was nice not too thick not too thin. The crust was a little bland for me on the cheese but the pep pizza was good. It wasn't greasy or anything. There are outdoor sitting plenty of tables. I would recommend going after lunch crowd. I wouldn't be surprised if the wait time is longer. I would comeback if I'm ever in the arcade.

Howard F.

Yelp
A slice of Brooklyn here in Nashville, an oasis in the midst of a desert of lousy pizza. God Bless Mannys

Claudio r.

Yelp
Best Pizza in Nashville! I'm from New York and Italian and I've had phenomenal Italian food in my life and Manny's is the best in Tennessee!

Nashville T.

Yelp
lost their lease after 39 years as area us being re-developed! temporarily cliosed while manny looks for new location! best ny pizza in nashville!

Kevin G.

Yelp
Some of the best pizza in Nashville. You got to earn it though! Parking is scarce and expensive. The lines are long but it's totally worth it. Just a family style pizza joint that works hard to make good food. The classic arcade area is cool and chill to enjoy your slice and people watch. Me and my son loved it.

Kimberly S.

Yelp
Absolutely, hands down the PARAMOUNT pizza in downtown Nashville. Manny is a dreamboat and has the gift of the Pizza gods flowing through his veins. The staff is always phenomenal and I constantly leave with a happy tummy and a big smile on my face. MUST TRY! You'll be hooked.... Xo Manny! We love you! Thank you for my birthday pizzas

Stephanie P.

Yelp
If you're looking for authentic NY pizza this is the place. I'm 44 years old & i have been coming here since i was 12. Me & my cousins would ride the bus to church street mall & stop by Manny's for a slice. Times have changed but the amazing food at Manny's is timeless. Nice down to earth Italians who know what quality food & good service is suppose to look like. By far my absolute favorite pizza spot!

William K.

Yelp
Back again and their food is still absolutely incredible with Manny himself making it. Locals love this place but if the tourists on Broadway knew what they were missing I guarantee this place would be even busier. This is the definition of a family-run restaurant and it shows in the quality of their food. They are a lunch-only place given their location, but if you make the trip you will not be disappointed.

Jack M.

Yelp
Decent slice of pizza. I ordered a slice of cheese. The cheese was generically gooey and not an incredible blend. The savoriness was not there. I found the crust too crisp. This dominated the mouthfeel experience. This pizza was ok. Nothing amazing. If I went back I'd try the lasagna.

Doris T.

Yelp
I love this place!! every thing on the menu is delicious. I've been coming here since I started working downtown and that was in 83, they made so changes but the food has stayed the same, check it out you won't be disappointed!!

Sidney R.

Yelp
Being a true New Yorker, I didn't know if I should try pizza in Nashville. this plain slice of pizza was better then some NY slices. Definitely a must try in Nashville! So delicious, quick and easy.

Walter J.

Yelp
Manny has been in Myrtle for a long time. He makes the best sub or hero in town. The meat is piled high. He is located across from Pirate Land Campground.

Julia O.

Yelp
In a weird little spot called the Arcade. People waiting on line - always a good sign. Ordered 2 slices to go - 1 cheese 1 sausage. The young woman behind the counter asked customers if they'd like garlic, red pepper flakes and/or Parmesan sprinkled on. But she was doing something else when my order came up. The young man behind the counter put my slices in a bag. Not asked about the spices. So I asked for them. That's the problem I experience these days. The invisible 58 YO woman syndrome. I always try and be nice and I ALWAYS tip 25%. The pizza was flavorful w/a crispy crust.

Dawn P.

Yelp
Best pizza! Their sauce is delicious and they are a true family business that has been there for years with great food and customer service! Very clean too! Our only complaint is we didn't find it sooner in our trip!

Hank D.

Yelp
The real thing that's all the way from Brooklyn NY and it's no joke. Sitting in the middle of the Arcade it's the go to for anyone looking for a slice, whole pie, calzone or rolls. The family is hanging tuff in a tight spot literally and some what figuratively with Covid restrictions. They are consistently the best pie in town hands down. I have not had the subs yet, but I am sure I won't be disappointed. Real family business that will not disappoint since I have lived in Nashvegas since 1997....

Quinn Thomas G.

Yelp
Loves the pizza, love the vibes - family who run it could not be more kind and hospitable. Highly recommend

Khaled A.

Yelp
Just arrived Nashville and needed a quick snack to help us with our hunger till dinner. The places closes at 4 so don't plane to eat here late. Very casual and old school feeling place. Place your order at front and then pay at the counter. We opted for the cheese slice. Which was heated and came really hot and crispy. The pizza was good it's a pizza after all! But nothing really special about, so good stop to help with your hunger that is fast and cheap. Here is my rating: Cheese slice: 8/10

Cherelle J.

Yelp
Great pizza. I'm a plain Jane so I ordered cheese pizza it's really good and quick. I will return to try different items on the menu.

Bruce K.

Yelp
Manny's is a little "divey" but it's divey in a good way. Like it hasn't been updated in 30 years or so. Because when you have great pizza, why mess with it? That said, the pizza is not quite "New York" style. It's very good and it's very tasty but I thought that my slice with pepperoni was perhaps a little too doughy and not nearly large enough as the kind of stuff I would expect in a New York pizza place. BUT IT IS NOT BAD! I also had a piece of the lasagna which was quite good. Meaty with a good amount of rich meat sauce and the garlic bread pieces were great for scooping up that sauce. It's not as good as my wife's - lol - but like the pizza, it is also good. Manny's was good. It's perfect for lunch food for all the office workers in the area.

Andrew B.

Yelp
So, this was a "homecoming" of sorts for me today. My wife works downtown and brings me home a slice of their pizza whenever she eats there for her lunch break. I fell in love with the first bite which was literally over a year ago and somehow have never made it downtown to actually eat there. HOWEVER,...today that was rectified! Anyway, I had the spinach and ricotta calzone...OUTSIDE THIS UNIVERSE! While I could just say how good they are over & over, I'll opt to mention a little about their hospitality as well. They were so courteous and welcoming-ALL of them. While Manny was making pizzas, his daughter and son were running the rest of the show and just flat nice good people. I ended up having a nice conversation outside with their son-good dude for real. It's good to meet good people here and there because they're not so common anymore in 2020. Thanks for making ridiculously good pizza and calzones, and more importantly, thank you for being quality human beings in these trying times. GO TO MANNYS HOUSE OF PIZZA!

Tot O.

Yelp
Great family run pizza joint from NYC. I don't know which is better... the pizza or the people who make it??? Either way, you can't go wrong at Manny's.

David A.

Yelp
This is the best pizza in Nashville. Manny use to work at the famous Spinoni Gardens in Brooklyn. If you want NY pizza this is the place.

Denis G.

Yelp
We showed up here with a bunch of guys, and left extremely satisfied. Best calzone I've ever had. Must visit!

Joey R.

Yelp
First time trying this place and was not to impressed. The crust was hard as a rock. Maybe the cook had the temperature too high up or was in a rush. Other then that, I would say the sauce was flavorful.

Steven L.

Yelp
The TN State Museum has the delivery bicycle used by this restaurant on display in a temporary exhibit. After seeing the bike and reading about them on the plaque, I had to try it as soon as possible. I did. I loved it. Manny lived up to the hype on it being REAL New York pizza. I know. I'm originally from the New York City Area. All ingredients were perfect. The sauce, the sausage, the cheese and crust were spot on. Oh, and if you like this pizza, there are two other places to try. Joey's House of Pizza on Elm Hill Pike and Angelo's Picnic Pizza in Antioch. The owners of these three restaurants are all related and all produce a great product. Well, there is not much to add. Go there, but get there before 4:00 PM. Most of the establishments in the Arcade (their location in Nashville) are only open for lunch on weekdays.

Nick R.

Yelp
I'll start by saying this. Manny's is better than Joey's but not as good as Five Points. The restaurant had plenty of seating (take a note there Joey's) and people taking your order weren't yelling at you about what you wanted. The pizza was delicious and cooked perfect. The calzone was equally delicious. The worst part is it's located downtown where you have to find and pay for parking but not bad for an occasional visit.

Paul M.

Yelp
Thank goodness for this place. I moved from Brooklyn to Nashville a couple years ago and have been really missing good pizza. The owner is from L&B in Brooklyn and makes a very authentic L&B Sicilian type pie. You have to order it a day in advance but it's more than worth the effort. I can't say enough good things about this place and the owners.

Scott P.

Yelp
Best pizza so far in Nashville. Cheese was flavorful the sauce was low acidic and the crust had a bite and a crunch to it. I don't know why I haven't heard of this place yet but definitely worth checking out.

Missy H.

Yelp
the food is good but watch your receipt. I ordered a roll which is $6.86 before tax. I did not eat in and I didn't leave a tip. My receipt was $10.58 so I was over charged by Manny's wife at the register. I don't appreciate that because I'm a long time customer. Very disappointed. I will go and show them my receipt to see what they have to say.

Drew D.

Yelp
Grew up here around Nashville and have eaten almost every pizza place downtown. This place absolutely drags all of them. Always hit a fresh just how you like it ;). If you like your pizza a little on the crispy side ask for extra crispy. First bite will have you food moaning.

Coco G.

Yelp
I just wish that I hadn't waited until I was flying out of Nashville to give it a try! The pizza was good & the customer service had a great East Coast quality... in the BEST way.! The warmth & family feel made me want to stay.

William W.

Yelp
We all know parking downtown in a major city is difficult and costly, so Manny's isn't a place you just pop into for pizza. But if you find yourself in downtown Nashville for either work or play, and you get that craving for an authentic slice of New York pizza, this is the place to go! Manny Macca, brother of Joey Macca (the genius behind Joey's House of Pizza), bakes up that same authenticity in the arcade shops downtown. These Brooklynites have blessed our town with incredible pizza pies for decades and locals are forever grateful. I visited Manny's recently for the first time in a decade and was instantly reminded why this is one of the best pizzerias in the Southeast! Colloquially referred to by the locals as Arcade Pizza, or simply Manny's, you shuffle through a narrow gauntlet upon entry, squeezed between a wall and the old-school counter, Manny's domain. It is here you are expected to place your order quickly and succinctly, just like New York! When the line stretches far enough outside the restaurant, Manny barks at you if the door is held ajar. You either stand inside or outside, not both! After paying at the cash register, you proceed to the dining room where the space mysteriously opens up, tucked behind other businesses that front the arcade, the vintage decor having changed little since the '80s. The focus here is pizza, not interior design, and yet despite the no frills ambiance you feel like you are someplace special about to eat something worthy. The cheese at both Manny's and Joey's so perfectly complements the flavor of every slice, like the best pizzas in the Northeast. I don't know the secret to cheese that tastes substantially better than all those substandard pizzas out there, but Manny has mastered this art! The pepperoni is very fresh and all the toppings are stupendous! You won't be disappointed (unless you like that weird Chicago pizza).

Ernie F.

Yelp
Absolutely, hands down THE BEST pizza EVER!!! Crust is thin and crisp. Sauce is perfect. If you only get a slice with no toppings, it is still outstanding!

Felipe P.

Yelp
Great reviews, great pizza coming from a New Yorker eating new York Pizza.Straight from Brooklyn, Mannys is the best.

Nicole P.

Yelp
Hands down best pizza in Nashville! Manny works relentlessly everyday- I know this because we have a neighboring business and I notice him in the window morning and night. He always gives me a great big smile and wave, you know, a real heartfelt smile; I kinda wanna give him a hug every time. The pizza dough itself is proportioned correctly to the most perfect amount and it's crispy factor is 100%. The sauce has the right amount of seasoning which compliments the blend of cheese. I can't say enough about this place except, please do yourself a favor and go here! Like now. Did I mention it's owned and operated by a sweet Italian family?!? Go here, now.

Tim J.

Yelp
Happened to walk by and had to try the pizza from this place. Absolutely did not regret it. The pizza was amazing and definitely a must try if visiting in Nashville. This place is family owned and everyone there was extremely nice and friendly. The food is authentic and the service was great!

Magda G.

Yelp
Delicious hall in the wall that is a really treat. Excellent inexpensive pizza with decor from 1970's if I must guess which just adds to the apparel of this place. It was Saturday evening around 5:30pm and if you live in Nashville or visiting, you will quickly learn that city aside from bar scene pretty much closes to any food. I was lucky to find this place ready to close but the super sweet owner sold us 3 slices of pizza, ice tea and 1/2 calzone for under $20. Very good pizza, thin crust with a crunchy hint. I wish that we would have found this palce the first day in Nashville.

Zoltan U.

Yelp
This place is the real deal!! Are from New York or Jersey??? This place will tickle your taste buds just right....tastes like home!!!!

Joe N.

Yelp
I went to Manny's for the first time today. While waiting for my pizza I discovered that Manny is from Brooklyn. He then pointed out that his Sicilian pizza is modeled after Spumoni Gardens in Gravesend Brooklyn. The crust is thick and crispy, the sauce delicious and the cheese was delicious. He did duplicate Spumoni Gardens. The pizza was awesome. Best in Tennessee as far as I am concerned. I cannot wait to taste his subs and calzones. 5 stars!!!!

James W.

Yelp
Probably the best lunchtime quick pizza joint I have been to in Nashville. Family owned and operated by an original New York pizza maker. This is certainly new york style, and very tasty. Surprisingly their other entrees like Lasagna are really good also. I usually stop in once a week as the price is reasonable, fast service, and they have a large dining area if you eat in. You can't go wrong here, so be sure and stop in!

Sandra Z.

Yelp
We had the stuffed crust with pepperoni and sausage pizza that they split for my husband and myself and also a piece of pepperoni and cheese pizza. Boy where they great. Not sure what magic they used but some of the best pizza we have had in a while. The thick crust of the stuffed pizza was fantastic --- not too much crust and the then New York style thin crust pizza was perfect. Wish we lived here! Definitely worth the trip.

Melissa B.

Yelp
Yes I am a fan of this PIZZA joint downtown in the Arcade building. I have eaten here a few times over the past four years since I moved to Nashville..and EVERYTIME!!!! EVERYTIME!!! I have enjoyed it. The inside dining area is " a little dark and dingy" but hey I am here to EAT the pizza not rate the dining room...but honestly they need Chef Ramsey or a local stager in there to redo the dining area... But the FOOD!!! The FOOD is killer!! I would eat here again and again!!! I am a pizza fool, and I love this Pizza..and the prices are great too!!!

John S.

Yelp
Came on a recommendation of a co-worker. Staff gave a very accurate estimate on the time to get the food. Pizza was excellent. Just the right combination of ingredients with a good dough to sauce/toppings ratio. Seasoning gave it the extra touch that pushed it over the top to be one of the best I have had. Only negative was the overall condition of the dining area & restrooms. Very dated! That being said I would not hesitate to come back. Just come early because they close at 5 on weekdays.

Michelle F.

Yelp
The best pizza in Nashville. This is not a statement I take lightly. I have tried pizza all across the city and Manny's is nothing short of perfection. Located in the arcade and only open m-f during Business hours which can make it tough to get there, but man is it worth it! Everything they serve is delicious. Manny is at the window making the dough, their employees are always friendly and helpful and his wife is running the cash register. Straight out of Brooklyn they are no nonsense but love their customers. I always recommend Manny's to everyone!! It is true Brooklyn style pizza and it reminds me of the pizza I miss from New England.
