"This 18C building, whose conservatory overlooks wooded grounds planted with hundred-year-old trees, is run by a Franco-Japanese couple who continues to knock the socks off our tastebuds. While Masako pours her talents into pastries, Julien finetunes his exquisite, flawlessly balanced culinary score: roast monkfish, girolles, mussels and hay or lightly seared tuna in spices, aubergine and cucumber. Regional ingredients invariably take the limelight (Normandy beef, Cahagnes poultry, cheese from local farms and locally grown veggies) and the chef often waxes lyrical about his suppliers when he pops into the dining room, as is his wont." - Michelin Inspector
We heard from friends about this sustainable restaurant and drove from Paris airport to come here. SO GOOD! Had the Discovery Menu and it was totally worth the drive. Everything tasted fresh and I would come back again. Definitely select the wine pairing! It enhanced the whole experience!

We've been eating at the Manoir about twice a year for some time, and it's really pleasing to see how Chef Julien's offerings have developed over the years. The quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail both in their preparation and presentation is at the highest standard. The move to an emphasis on the "decouverte" menu will challenge some, but works really well for us. Masako's desserts are always a delight to the eyes and tastebuds. Our lunch last week was as excellent as ever. As the Michelin Guide might say: "Worth the Detour" - if you have a chance, do visit. (And the wine pairing is an absolute bargain!)

Another fantastic visit, always a firm favourite for fine dining when in Vire. Julien’s discovery menu never disappoints, celebrating the seasonal, local, fine produce. Masako’s desserts are always to die for!

It was a nice impromptu lunch pitstop during our road trip in Normandy.
Flavors were great... except found the rumsteak(medium rare) to be extremely tough.

Fantastic place, lovely people and the food was exceptional. We visited by chance and we couldn't have been happier with the entire evening. By the way, the price (even with the poor exchange rate for the Brits) was a pleasant suprise too. Definitely returning again soon.
