The place was beautiful and location just breathtaking. Unfortunately this fell below my expectations of what 5 star should be: The Rooms: Decent and clean but the beds were not very comfortable. Instead of a queen mattress they put two twin mattresses in a queen frame. Service: standard but not 5 star hospitality. I will say I really liked our server at the restaurant. Food: Food was actually great, except the lamb was overcooked. Loved the drinks. Spa: The facilities were very nice. The vitality pool is not hot so don't be surprised when it takes you a couple of minutes to get in but after awhile it was quite refreshing. Foot bath was also on the colder side. My favorite was the sauna. Treatments: they were nice but not mind blowing so I would recommend on getting the basic treatments done. I had a 90 minute facial and I thought you would get some massage but instead all I received was a 5 minute hand/arm massage. The body massage was a lot of hot compresses vs real massage. It was also confusing because when we got there was not an attendant there to let us know next steps and what to expect. All in all I think the experience is worth a night in the beautiful spa countryside. Nothing in life is perfect, so I am still glad I came.

I fell in love immediately with the pool the surrounding, the staff and everything. Like a fairy tail, really nice to calm down after a hectic day to day life in berlin…

Plus points: fabulous location, comfortable room, peace and quiet, great food esp the breakfast|Disappoints : lack of attention to detail (fittings in room not checked, fruit in room very poor quality and not replenished)|Spa treatments poor, not what you’d expect in this sort of place and this price !|We were meant to have a 7 course meal on the second night but only got 3 as “the kitchen hadn’t been told”. Maitre d sorted it and we got some food and free drinks but again, in a place like this, a major mess up|No real apology for the dinner debacle and we got the feeling that they don’t really care.

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times in the past and always recommended it to clients and colleagues, which makes my recent experience all the more disappointing.||During my stay from 20th to 23rd April, I had booked two rooms — one for myself and one for a colleague, Mr. Jackson. We both settled our respective bills on the morning of the 23rd before departure. However, I later discovered that my card had been charged nearly double — a total of £1,638.89, plus two separate currency conversion fees.||To make matters worse, it appears that one of the charges was for a Mr. Stone’s stay, despite the fact that he had booked his room independently through Booking.com using his own credit card. I contacted the hotel on 27th April to request an urgent investigation and refund. As of today, I have received no refund.||I am extremely disappointed by the lack of communication and accountability. Mistakes can happen, but being ignored for weeks after raising a serious billing issue is unacceptable — especially from a hotel I have been loyal to for years.||To any future guests: double-check your charges, especially if travelling with others. I will also be contacting Booking.com to raise my concerns.||I hope this review encourages the hotel to finally address the issue and prevents others from having a similar experience.

Just driving up this majestic place is a sight to behold.. You enter at the end of a 1km drive and the "wait" is not for nothing because you are met with what must be one of the most impressive entrances to such an establishment anywhere in Belgium. Happily, the service and quality of what this hotel/spa/resto offers will not disappoint. It is ideal for couples who are looking for a romantic getaway for a short break.But it also caters for families and, indeed, everyone is made to feel very welcome. It also has a terrific spa and fitness area and an excellent restaurant. The only pity, for those lucky enough to stay, is when you have to make the reverse drive up that drive and leave.......

My mom booked this hotel as a gift for my 30th birthday, and I can’t tell her just how disappointed I was, so I’m gonna write it here and hopefully help others avoid this place. Pros: - beautiful environment in the forest - hotel looks very nice from the outside - in the evening a receptionist brings you a little chocolate and says good night Cons: - the ratio of price and value is crazily out of balance. For 500€ a night in 5 star hotel you would expect something completely different. And the fact that whatever you want - from minibar to breakfast, is charged extra is wild to me at this price point. - bedrooms don’t look like at the picture at all. They are pretty ugly, all the furniture looks super cheap and just worn out. TV doesn’t work properly and the water in the bathrooms changes temperature all the time. Not even gonna mention the weird glass see-through toilet that lets your partner watch you sit on the toilet while they shower. - cleanliness and hygiene were terms unknown to the staff. From dirty bedsheets, dirt towels to general not very clean facilities - kinda gross. When we raised the issue of the bedsheets with the staff, they just responded with “uh ok” - facilities in terrible condition - we used the tennis court, first we had to wait an hour for a gardener to clean it as it was super messy and clearly not being up-kept, with a little trail that led to it which was literally falling apart. We borrowed tennis balls from the hotel, a pack of 8, which only had 5 balls, out of which 3 were broken. - the spa deserves its own feedback. It wasn’t all that bad, except the fact there was no one working there so if you had any question or needdd anything there was no one to ask. Pool was freezing cold, foot bath was broken and leaked water all around, no seats had cushions on them, they were all thrown on a pile in the corner, some of which were pretty dirty. - my biggest point is a general lack of information about anything. Reception doesn’t tell you anything and there is no written piece of information in the room either. What time is check-in and check-out? What time does the spa and restaurant close? What time is breakfast? Guess. And good luck trying to get attention of the receptionist which is also the bartender, waiter and bus boy at times. Oh and lemme just save you false expectations of doing anything in the evening since both the restaurant and spa close at 8. This was great surprise to us the first day when we arrived at 19:45 just to leave right away just to get anything to eat. Also if you have any dietary restrictions better bring your own food. At breakfast, which cost ungodly 29 euros per person, there is already a preset menu of items at your table. No veggies, just a bit of bread and cheese. If you want anything else you pay extra. I asked for gluten free bread, which got them startled and I was told to wait half an hour for the bread to arrive. There is more but I guess these were the main points, enough to ruin a weekend I was really looking forward to. Very shameful, I will for sure never return here. This place is a glowing example of the fact that money can’t buy class and all the rich people in the reviews who claim otherwise suffer from serious case of delulu.

Very nice location, good spa, dog friendly, exceptional good food. For the price the rooms could have better interior design and staff was overwhelmed with service, orders and accounting

Overall a good experience, the spa was incredibly well equipped despite not being large. The common area is very comfortable. The only bad point is that the bed was rather uncomfortable and we woke up with some back pain, especially the second day, since you kind of dive into the bed. Either the mattress was too soft or it was already a bit old, I would go for the second.

Great ambiance. The food is from excellent quality. The presentaties of the food is from outstanding quality. Never seen better. The service good be better. No wine by glass or tasting package that matches the dishes. Very expensive. That makes my review a 4 out of 5. Not the best price/quality.
