On the Grid : Manolo & Rene Cafeteria

"This 24-hour corner Latin cafeteria is located in the heart of the CBD, convenient & instant gratification for your late night appetite. The super burger and omelet sandwich are in high demand as is the cortadito and freshly squeezed OJ. You might get sucked into a conversation with some of the local characters, but you'll be want to focus on eating your ham croqueta instead." - Lemon Yellow

The 14 Best Pop-Ups In Miami

"Where To Find Them: Occasionally at J Wakefield, Fort Lauderdale’s Sidewalk Bottle Shop, and more.  Sandoches calls its Japanese sandos “inspired by Latin America.” But other than some subtle touches like cebolla criolla and an aji salsa on the pork belly, these are basically just tasty renditions of Japanese sandwiches. The crust-on shokupan is squishy yet sturdy, and protein options usually include things like brisket katsu, chicken katsu, and egg salad. But the best thing on the menu is the side of fried, fluffy mashed potato balls topped with an airy cheese sauce. Sandoches is good about posting upcoming pop-up locations, so keep up with their Instagram to find them and their little potato balls next." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino

Simple and delicious Cuban lunch at Manolo and Rene Grill! The Cuban sandwich was crispy and flavorful, the flan was rich and creamy, and the Cuban iced coffee hit the spot. Great Latin music and friendly service made it even better. A must-visit if you’re in Miami, near Brickel, and looking for Cuban fare.

Catherine Ling

Google
Absolutely love this place! Served with amazing hospitality and the Cuban sandwich was fresh, light, but super filling. I’ll be sure to come back anytime I’m in Miami.

Google
Was in Miami and was craving a Cuban sandwich; saw this place and ordered a Cuban sandwich and cheese empanada. Sandwich was very good and fresh! Girl at counter was friendly and gave me advice where to relax and eat at nearby park.

We arrived on July 12, 2024 at 0945 for a morning breakfast. It was delicious, a hot ham, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich with coffee and orange juice and a guava pastry. The service was friendly and customer focused (authentic Fonda Latina). Nothing fancy but great food and friendly service for a great price. I do recommend and will return again.

Google

Google
Authentic Cuban bistro. Open 24 hrs. They serve a really good breakfast. Their Cuban coffee is to die for.

Google
Excellent sandwiches, but avoid the toilets. I wanted to eash my hands but So soap, smelly. They lose a star for that.

Jacob Goldstein

Google
Really fantastic food and reasonably priced. Easily some of the best Cuban sandwiches in town. However, when I went, the bread on the Cuban sandwich was a bit soggy. Luckily, the flavor made up for it. Also, very kind staff and overall great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This was the best option in the area for late night food, and it was pretty good! The service was great, and I enjoyed my sandwich. Fries were big enough to share! I wasn't super impressed with my papaya smoothie, it was okay but it separated pretty fast and wasn't my fave. Wouldn't order that again. All in all, a decent spot for late night eats!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent Cuban food. We ordered two entrees. My friend ordered steak with frites, it comes with a large sub roll buttered and toasted. We shared grilled chicken, extra onions (absolutely delish), rice, sweet plaintains and a side of beans. Literally the most outstandingly delsih black beans of my life. Portions are generous. You will leave full! We also got perrier's and something else, that I can't remember. Place is clean, and service is good. They are open 24 hours people! Perfect for a late night bite for my last night in Miami!!!

Yelp
This 24 hour Latin diner was excellent! I went with two friends, and each of our meals were perfect, which was especially appreciated since it was 3am in the heart of the city! I'd recommend this spot to anyone looking for a late night option with good vibes, quick service and great taste.

Yelp
A good spot considering that its open 24/7, better than fast food joints. The milkshakes are yummy I love that they have papaya, I added banana to it. I also tried their cubano sandwich and breakfast sandwich.

Yelp
This place is awesome. Authentic vibe. Piping hot food. Loved the empenadas. Fries ok. Service was friendly. And prices were reasonable. Can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Yelp
Working in the area very very early morning & late late nights, over the course of two weeks. I had many meals from breakfast sandwiches to traditional Cuban dishes. This 24/7 restaurant came thru with quality meals, appropriately priced everytime. Service was decent, depending on how busy they were. Ambiance a little hole in the wall, but don't let that deter you from giving them a try.

Yelp
When in Miami, I want three kinds of food; Cuban, Cuban and more Cuban! Monolo and Rene was close to the hotel with good reviews. It's open 24 hours, and has a nice "local" feel to it. Service was immediate and very friendly. I had the slow roasted pork platter with black beans and rice for $16. The pork was tasty, maybe a touch on the dry side, but with plenty of garlic and sautéed onions. The beans and rice were solid, really good. I would certainly dine here again.
google avatar

Curtis C.

Yelp
Prices are pretty good and it's open 24 hours. This is a good spot to kill some time if you need to before a cruise. I had the cubano and while it wasn't my favorite cubano ever, it was good. There was plenty of meat.
google avatar

Yelp
My friends landed in Miami pretty early and we were looking for a place that served drinks at like 9am. (We wanted to get the vacation started lol) This seemed to be the only place actually opened at that time in the area. Was giving deli vibes for me. We were able to order Cuban coffee, food and a bucket of beers. The staff was super friendly and let us chill for awhile and enjoy our drinks.
google avatar

Zanita W.

Yelp
One word: EMPANADAS!! Went here the day before a cruise in Miami, Florida and I had a huge craving for some since they are sorely missing in Michigan. They had two flavors: chicken or beef. Both were very delicious, fresh and cheap. The small restaurant itself gave mom and pop vibes and it screamed Cuban culture. It's an excellent option for those having a night on the town and need something to eat late at night.
google avatar

Yelp
Fairly new to the area and came in twice for take out. First time ordered the roasted pork platter with black beans and white rice, steak platter with black beans and white rice, and side of maduros. All were absolutely excellent! Melt in your mouth tastiness and very rich in flavor. Came back the following night for a Media Noche and ham croquetas which were equally as delicious. The place is conveniently open 24 hours in the heart of Downtown and has an old Cuban Miami feel to it. Definitely returning and highly recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
Nothing amazing, but good solid food. Cuban sandwich was tasty. Ice cuban coffee was ok. Service was good.
google avatar

Ricardo R.

Yelp
Manolo and Rene is your topical Cuban food, the nice thing is they are opened 24/7. Service is good and place is clean.

Yelp
We had a late flight into Miami. Upon checking into our hotel a little past midnight, we were all hungry. Everything in downtown Miami was closed except for bars. Luckily this place was right behind where we spent the night. Manolo and Renee to the rescue!!!! We order 2 turkey sandwiches and 2 veggie sandwiches and an order of fries. In true Cuban fashion all sandwich come pressed and believe me the crunch and the butter spread on top makes the sandwich even more enjoyable. Our turkey was fresh cut slices with mayo, tomato and lettuce. The veggie was the same but with some Swiss cheese. Manolo and Renee are open 24 hours. There was a descent line when we arrived and people were walking in and out with phone orders. This pretty much sums up how amazing this place is.

Yelp
2.5 Stars, rounded up to 3, only bc the couple running this place looked hard working. After leaving the club @ 5:30 am, I was in the need of drunk food. MRG was near my b'ness partner's place near Biscayne in DT MIA, so I thought I would try it: I'm sorry I did. Out of all the sandwiches I had while I was in MIA, this was the worst. The bread did not have a nice crust that I am accustomed to at Cuban places, nor did it have much meat for the price. Regarding the meat, it was bland. How can lechon be bland?! Likewise, the fries were unmemorable, and a small portion for the price. All in all, an overpriced mediocre place that barely deserves 3 Stars. I'll go to bed on an empty stomach after a hard night of partying, before I would return here.

Yelp
Stopped in to grab lunch as it's our last day in Miami. Anytime we come to Miami ... getting a Cuban is a must. My boyfriend got the Cuban which he said was good... but one of the best. It didn't have pulled pork ... more so sliced pork like the ham. So far the best Cuban sandwich has come from Key West. I had chicken wings and rice and beans. Very typical... nothing amazing to write home about but no complaints. The ladies at the counter were very friendly and the food came out fairly quickly... I'd say no more than 10 minutes.

Yelp
Excellent Cuban Sandwich and other dishes. Great portions, Very nice staff, affordable prices. Real Miami vibe, great music.
google avatar

Chris D.

Yelp
For a late night little Cuban taste and my very first time for us to eat Cuban food. We are very impressed. Hot and fresh had quite a long line so you knew it had to be good not our room to eat in there but you can get it to go have a good shit. I had the turkey sandwich on the Cuban bread which is pretty tasty. Need a little bit more dressing sauce, french fries were nice and hot thick and I had the sweet plantains which were very good

Yelp
This is the worst restaurant experience I've ever had in Miami. I was RACIALLY ABUSE by the salesgirl at the diner. My boyfriend and I went to the restaurant and ordered shakes sandwiches and a cup of coffee, and the person who ordered told me to call the number. However, during the two meal pickups, I did not call the number, and directly addressed me as QINK
google avatar

Anissa C.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place! Everyone was nice and helpful! The food came out hot and delicious! I ordered the a bacon and egg cheese croissant! Y'all the croissant was made in house and is soft and buttery!! And the coffee was delicious as well!!
google avatar

Carlos S.

Yelp
staff friendly / polite ! turkey sandwich on cuban hero bread -no bueno , 2 thin slices of turkey isnt a sandwich to charge $15 bucks for seriously if the tomato slice is thicker than the meat portion we got a problem i felt like i was eating a cuban lettuce & tomato sandwich turkey flavored !!! i gave 2 stars bc the cafe con leche was perfect & restaurant is clean , if not (1) one estrella would've been the rating . step up your sandwich meat content to toppings ratio standards . i'll be back to post any changes if i notice any upgrade to the sandwich then i'll edit this posy & add the appropriate star rating

Yelp
Miami's premier 24hr spot. Manolo has been in the city for over 30 years and is a great late night choice when there's few choices. I really love the variety of the menu- it's super basic items are sure to please everyone in the crowd. Portions are filling. The service is always great and quick too. A refreshing smoothie after the club, late night wings, or early morning omelettes are sure to please. There's some seating inside- wish they would put a bench outside though as it can get tight.
google avatar

Jb C.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Had pork platter and sweet plantains. People were extremely friendly. Hint-- A little bit of effort (e.g. trying to speak Spanish) and being a pleasant person go a long way to creating an enjoyable experience almost anywhere.
google avatar

Anna G.

Yelp
If you want a classic Cuban sandwich, this isn't the place. This is a basic ham and Swiss on a Cuban bread, Mayo included...yuck!!! In a good note, you can't mess up a bottled beer...cheers

Elias V.

Yelp
Ricos sandwich cubanos y está abierto las 24 horas. Nosotros regresaríamos por más. Los recomiendo.

Yelp
This place hits my favorite childhood meal . Food was so good. . Great customer service. The dine in section is cozy and spacious.

Sam M.

Yelp
Loved it. Some cold beer, a Cuban sandwich, chicharrones and Lechon. Come on, that sounds great, no??? Cortadito for dessert. It was great. Go to Manolo's.
google avatar

Maritza D.

Yelp
Marlen hace el mejor cafesito de Miami. La amo! The best! Super fast service too always. Open 24 hrs
google avatar

Jenn T.

Yelp
Very good empanadas and even better hot sauce. Open 24 hrs ! Definitely go if you're in the area looking for a late night meal.
google avatar

Bart G.

Yelp
Great spot to grab a quick bite. Off a side street in the downtown Brickell area, very convenient to area hotels. Open 24 hours and been around since the 1970s- they know what they are doing. One of the best Cuban sandwiches I have ever eaten. Friendly staff. Good choice for takeout. Solid beer selection for a smaller restaurant.
google avatar

Charles W.

Yelp
Small and busy 24/7 joint that serves exactly the kind of food you'd probably want after some drinks or if nothing else is open. They have a ton of different kinds of sandwiches here - Cuban style. Though the wait can be long depending on when you get there, the service is actually quite fast and the food is solid. Highly recommended if it's past like 11pm and you're hankering for a Cubano.
google avatar

Brad M.

Yelp
This is a great go to on a late night. Our food was hot and fresh at midnight. Shoutout to the couple running this place working hard!
google avatar

Kimberly C.

Yelp
It's been years since I've been to Miami, but one thing I remember (besides the beautiful beaches) is the yummy Cuban coffee. I used to drink a cortadito every morning. Don't let the tiny Dixie cup size fool you- this coffee packs quite a punch and is so delicious. I ate a guava pastry and drank a cortadito and it was just as good as I remembered. The place is open 24 hours and has many Cuban food options, but I wasn't really hungry so I just had the pastry and drank the coffee.
google avatar

Gary P.

Yelp
I would rather starve than eat here again. Food is so bland and I'm sure it's also reheated. I got the burger and the egg that was on it was very tough to bite through like plastic and dry. Had a couple of drinks and headed here at 5:30 am. I will never return there. They need to close shop. My stomach is bothering me a lot now. That's what I get for trying it I guess. I rarely leave reviews but this place is worth saving someone else some money.

Jeremy And Marni D.

Yelp
For late night eats by the hotel it was solid. Good empanadas and a Cuban sandwich with 2 Modelos under $30? All good.
google avatar

Christine A.

Yelp
Ordered a ham and cheese croissant. Came with mold! $15 penicillin, thanks. Can't write much else but this is a food safety issue for sure.
google avatar

Knickerbocker R.

Yelp
I walked here when I was staying in downtown Miami and it was almost 1am. I was happy to find a place that was open because downtown Miami can become a ghost town late at night. This place was pleasantly full of people. I had a ham and cheese sandwich with French fries. The service was quick. If you are looking for find dinning, this is not the place to go. But if it is late at night and you have been drinking stop by. It was local and I enjoyed my meal.

Gloria A.

Yelp
Great food service, delicious prices, friendly service. They're open 24 hours, which is super convenient.
google avatar

Yuliet R.

Yelp
I wanted to try this place since I live in the area. They're open 24 hours, I called 5x to try to do a pick up order and they would not pick up the phone. Mind you, my boyfriend and I had walked by the place an hour earlier and saw a girl scrolling on her phone inside. Ridiculous
google avatar

Audrey S.

Yelp
I haven't eaten here and hate being a Karen. But what I saw here made me so mad. I seriously watched an employee working outside dump all of the trash out of a trashcan and onto the city street. I was very confused why he would do this. He then proceeded to sweep all of it INTO THE STORM DRAIN. Not okay. So not okay. This is why our beautiful bay is so polluted. Please teach your employees to clean and to not be awful.

Jenner L.

Yelp
Food was great. The service was nice and fast. We stayed around the corner and went twice, once for lunch and once at 3 am for a snack before we left Miami. Quality of the food and coffee was excellent both times.

Alma B.

Yelp
Amazing service and delicious taste of Miami in Bayfront area! Natural juices were a HIT!!!
google avatar

Tiffany M.

Yelp
Just no. Go here if you're intoxicated and have no regards for cleanliness or sanitation. The nastiest croquetas I've ever had. I don't think I ever saw the man making sandwiches use gloves. We only ate here because we were starving, just landed and had nowhere else to go. Do yourself a favor and Uber eats from elsewhere. It's what we should have done.
google avatar

andreniki s.

Yelp
Parts of my area I have sloppy yes delicious burger Avila have a 2000 calories in one burger. I came back but I try to breakfast, I order them turkey cheddar cheese omelette. That was disappointing omelette as I recall no seasoning, but they do give you lots of cheddar cheese call mom and they're nine bucks what do you expect. French sandwiches moving forward I'll go to the Mediterranean place right next to them food there was reasonable and delicious
google avatar

Jasmin M.

Yelp
This was my favorite quick bites spot on m last Miami trip. After a late night or not wanting to spend to much money on food I would come here. The food got the job done. I tried the philly sandwich, fried chicken burger, chicken platte, and the Spinach and cheese empanada. Did i say the SPINACH & CHEESE empanada.... lol .... yall get it. That was the best empanada hands down. If your looking for a late night spot this is a great place to try.
google avatar

Doris D.

Yelp
Line was super long but great place open late and food was delish ! They had plantains which I was craving at midnight. Great staff super friendly even late at night and I'm sure they were also super tired.
google avatar

Sue C.

Yelp
This place is so good for no reason! Literally love this hole in the wall. Iv lived in Florida for 20+ years and this is one of the places I'd always recommend!
google avatar

Sid B.

Yelp
Dryest food I've ever had. Nothing has effin sauce on it. If you deliver and don't purchase the sauce, you're screwed. Bread on sandwich was stale at. Fries doesn't come with ketchup and they wanna charge for it. Quesadilla is pretty much all just tortilla and chicken. Barely any cheese. Dear restaurant, You're feeding drunk people, not body builders, put some freaking cheese in there. What do you have a against fat and flavor? Ugh, I wanna gag thinking about how dry this food was. I had to put Mayo on everything just to get it down my throat.
google avatar

Matt G.

Yelp
Little hole in the wall. I liked it. Had the cuban. Wasnt bad at all. Very humble little place. Would def try again.
