Beautiful grounds and lovely an awesome place to enjoy beer and pizza when nice out. Was a cold day when there and were inside. Had nice live music but plastic cups for all beer seemed odd. Was impressed with changing tables in bathrooms.

We visited Manor Hill Brewery on a nice fall day. The property is beautiful and the food and beer is excellent. 🍕🍺🥨 The drive-in is very scenic - after you pass through a residential area, you come to the long entrance of the Brewery and farm lined with trees. The parking lot is in between the brewery and a lovely picnic area. The property is large and even has goats, chickens, and cows. ‼️Pro Tips‼️ 1. There are 2 speed bumps as you enter but they are not marked. Our friends hit it pretty hard lol 2. Come on a Sunday during Ravens game, you’ll have the place to yourself. 3. Bring games, popup goals, and other activities for the kiddies 4. There is live music occasionally but if you’re in the picnic area next to lot it’s difficult to hear. 5. Mobile food ordering is a breeze with their QR code. Enjoy!! We will be back!!

It's late October and the leaves are changing colors... It was SUCH a beautiful drive into the property! 🍂❤️ We sat outside under the big tent for hours / most of our visit then went inside for the last bit of the evening. The bartenders were super friendly and the atmosphere was great in both spaces. We had #6 Farm Fuzz (we each brought home a 6-pack of this), #9 Munich Dunkel, #11 Manor Vale (I'm sad that this isn't available in cans), and I forget what else he ordered. 🍻 BEWARE OF THE SPEED BUMPS, COMING IN OFF THE STREET.

Great farm brewery nestled in Howard County!

The view on this 54-acre farm is beautiful. It's a working farm in Ellicott City, Manor Hill Farm is home to Manor Hill Brewing… Howard County’s first, and Maryland’s largest, farm brewery. Our brewing team uses high-quality ingredients to craft exciting and approachable beers across both new and traditional styles. They are open to visitors on Fridays (4-9pm), Saturdays (12-7pm), and Sundays (12-7pm)…stop by the farm and have a beer!

Great spot for families and kids to run around. Pets aren’t allowed but bring a blanket and some chairs and snacks and the kids will keep themselves occupied for hours. Very happy with this as a spot especially after going to the elioak farm come spring! Good selection of draught beers and cans!

Very chill farm brewery. Great for trying a few types of beer and now they have a brick oven pizza trolley outside. Delicious pies. Place is big enough to host large events, kids can play outside while you enjoy a walk around the farm with views. My wife likes their Farm Fuzz wheat beer (hint of peach) while I didn't care much for I Got You Six nor their Pilsner which had too hoppy and hazy. I expect my Pilsner to be clean, crisp drinking. Their straight up IPA did not disappoint tho.

Great farm brewery! Brews are all very good, if not a little predictable. Favs are the Kolsch and Wheat Peach. Lots of open space and plenty of seating, even on a busy afternoon. Curmudgeon warning here: While I don't mind a family friendly environment, too many parents dragging young kids (~5-10yo) out to a bar, letting bored kids yell, scream, and run around, with parents who ignore them while they drink. Had to move 3 times to avoid unsavory kids with disinterested parents. Suggest having adult only areas near the taproom so the rest of us don't have to deal with unruly, loud/screaming kids and ignorant, lazy parents. It seriously takes away from an otherwise relaxing and enjoyable brewery experience. This is a brewery, not a playground after all... (*Note: also a parent...)

I have no idea why it took so long to make it to Manor Hill Brewery. I have been to the Tavern in Ellicott City numerous times and love their food and especially their craft beers. The Brewery is a fantastic place with all of the great beers and a very clever converted trolley serving great pizzas and pretzels. What makes the Brewery special is the setting. Situated on a working farm, it is the perfect place to chill. Lot's of room to sit or play. Local live music and did I mention excellent beer?! It is only open on weekends. My only nitpick is they don't allow dogs, but I understand why.

This is a wonderful brewery with a delicious selection of craft beers! They don't have cider typically, but they did have a rotating hard seltzer. We visited for a cat adoption event that tied into a release with a beer inspired by their own two barn cats. The "cat beer" was amazing! I hope they bring it back in the future! All of the other options we tried were very good, but "Barn Cat's Meow" was exceptional! Parking wasn't great, but that might have been due to the event. There was an outdoor tent near the main bar. There was decent seating, but it did get a bit busy. It gets loud when there's a musician going, but it's still a wonderful time. While cats might have been the draw, I'd return here even on a regular day. Great time, great beers, and a good atmosphere!

What a stunning place, and the beers were good, too! You can't really beat Manor Hill on a nice day. It's family friendly, lots of seating and picnicking areas, fun events and fundraisers, and of course - animals! Parking is plentiful, and I found Manor Hill fairly accessible and palatable to different tastes. They have a captive onsight pizza truck, which was very tasty - though I do believe you can still bring your own food if you wish. Additionally, they sell some farmstand goodies. We came home with a delicious jar of pub pickles. They are open Friday-Sunday. I recommend reading their website for farm rules, which includes no dogs. Check out their website and social media platforms which both seem to be updated regularly with beers and happenings. If Manor Hill was closer, I could see us making this a regular spot. Definitely worth the visit!

This was a nice chill brewery in Howard county. All the staff was friendly. The pizza was just ok ..... we also had a pretzel it was ok as well. Fast service. They offer different pour sizes which is good. I have to return for the tasting room didn't see that. Nice and spacious lawn area to relax and chill .... Bring the whole family .... Very kid friendly.

This is such a cute and cozy place to have a picnic or hang outside with your friends and family. The brewery only has beers and no ciders and one seltzer- as a heads up. Everyone enjoyed their beer, the live music and fresh open air. The kids in the group loved visiting the animals in the back as well. It's a great place to play small outdoor games with your family or just read a book with a beer.

Been here once before when they first opened Returned recently on visit to the Baltimore area and they expanded Beer is still good Was sad to see they ban dogs but allow screaming, running around anklebiters I understand about their barn cats and no dogs But anklebiters running around unsupervised is a no-no to serious brew people Have a tent for families only away from beer drinkers if you must have anklebiters there I'm not the only one who was annoyed by them annoying drinkers on this visit

Let's start by saying we have been going to Manor Hill Brewery for years. There are a numerous amount of professional families that all gather there over the years celebrating everything from birthdays to graduations bridal and baby celebrations. We even participated in a huge fundraiser for a woman with ALL LEUKEMIA one year. Always did we enjoy the brewery and all it offers. Respectful to the owners and the people who work there. A few weeks ago the disrespect that was received in return was very uncalled for. We watched how the Leukemia/cancer woman was creating a space for her husband's birthday and then how the manager of Manor Hill Brewery was very rude and disrespectful to her. I watched as he would yell and threaten kids, but never did he approach a parent of said kids. Now, I do not know this woman, but I've seen her and her family and friends there all the time in their soccer uniforms. That weekend is when I finally put two and two together and recognized the manager is the same one at the Manor Hill Restaurant in old Ellicott City. I stopped going there for watching the way he says things to others. It's time for us and our friends to stop going to Manor Hill Brewery as I've noticed since his arrival all of the regular bartenders have gone with the exception of a few. And it's not changed for the good.

I've been meaning to get to the farm for some time. I really enjoy the classic IPA and often purchase so when we saw a post on Facebook we decided to head over. It's a very nice farm with malt options to sit around with friends and enjoy a nice day. We sat at the bar and had a drink and ordered off the food truck that was available. The bartender we had wasn't the most engaging but that's fine. We had a few beers and they didn't disappoint. The IPAs are hoppy and cold. The food in the truck was good but would have been better if it hadn't cooled. It's a beautiful farm with great views and today they had rescue draft horses you could engage with and pet. It seems they have activity every weekend so there's something for everyone. My only issue is not a dog friendly environment which is not a selling point because the competition in Maryland is dog friendly. We'll be back but this and the indifference of the bartender makes this a four.

What a great concept converting a farm into brewery. Very spacious venue. Ideal for beer tasting and private events. Food was provided by Jimmy's Famous Seafood. The food delivered some of the best seafood I have tried in Maryland. The shrimp and fries were hot and crispy. The shrimp sandwich was very good, but a little too much mayo for me. I also tried the fried bread pudding. It was different, not my favorite. The bread pudding was twinkie shaped. Lightly sweet. But overall, OK. Not sure if they are at the farm regularly or for events, but to drink good beer and eat hot food, you can't go wrong. Definitely checkout their website.

What a huge space! There were plenty of areas to sit, most outside, but indoors at the bar was great. There were 14 beers on tap so we had plenty to try. Their Farm Buzz Whitbier had just the right amount of fruitiness and their Manorita was fun one to try! We'd come back to try out all their new beers in the future.

I bought some beer by them from my local liquor store, it was very good. I have nothing else to say but yelp is making me say more

We came here for dinner and drinks with the family and it was a fun place to relax in a mild evening. There was a delicious food truck, CheeseUp, and we enjoyed some tasty French fries covered in cheese and a grilled cheese sandwich as well. The beers were awesome as always. The best part is the gorgeous land around the brewery. Fields and barns and even chickens made the evening fun for my daughter.

Great beer, great scenery, great food. If you don't like kids you should probably find somewhere else to go cause there are a lot of them but it's a big outdoor space so it's not too bad. The pizza is phenomenal and so are the staff. My one complaint is that they don't have actual glass cups but I can see why they don't.

Beautiful place to be. We went for the craft fair, and got a couple of beers. I did leave with a 6 pack, that was delicious. The service was great, and fast which was awesome! Mexican Food truck was good! The live music was neat, and it was an all around peaceful experience. Great vibes.

The place has a lot to offer! The area is enormous; there is a picnic area outside, space under the tarp, and an inside area where the magic happens. The staff is super accommodating. I have asked to try a couple of beers before choosing one for myself. The selection can please anyone from light Pilsner to heave stout! I liked the one with a peachy undertone, which gives you that slight flavor of the fruit without overpowering the taste. A big plus for this place is that you can bring your food or grab something from the food truck.

A new friend who grew up in the area introduced us to Manor Hill Brewing - had it not been for them, I would've never known about this place. It's situated in an area you wouldn't expect, but I find those to be the best adventures. Manor Hill has a super local feel for sure. You head "inside" their open air bar and order your pour (full or half) and find a seat. There are some high tops inside and then a covered tent with tables and benches immediately out front, with wooden lunchtables further back. Tons of seating space, not including where you can set up your own tent or picnic. Apparently they have rotating food trucks swing by and our friends grabbed tacos from the one on-site that day. I tried their hard rosé seltzer on tap and a full pour rang me $6 - a good alternative for 'non-beer' people who tend to lean towards cider. The only downside is that they close at 9pm and are only open on weekends. The bartender was kind enough to come out and let us know to get drinks in before last call. I can see myself returning again for another chill night, but perhaps heading here earlier in the evening.

I live nearby and frequent this brewery. Great outdoor atmosphere and good beer. However, while the road to drive in is paved, the road to exit is only partially paved (tire tracks) and in terrible shape. Even in an SUV it's unacceptably bad. Please spend the money to pave the exit road!

I love this place! It has a little bit of everything and it is so close to Ellicott City. There is a great deal of open space with benches and there is a paved area where they put tables out that are under umbrellas. The paved area is close to where you get the beers, which is an indoor area but it is completely open to the outside. They have beers to go as well, although the selection is not everything they have on tap. They had a food truck and a small farmers market type table out when I went. The table sold fall items and looked really cute. Just an all around fun place to spend an afternoon. The tables are all spread far apart and I felt safe there. They welcomed you to bring your own food to eat while drinking their beers.

"I love them so much. The pizza is delicious!"--my 6 year-old son Manor Hill has become one of our favorite spots to bring the kids and have a couple beers. Every beer we've tried (and we have tried a lot!) is great. The Pizza Trolley's pizza is indeed amazing every time, and is also the only pizza my picky eater of a son enjoys. There's so much space to spread out. You can bring your own chairs/tent to the hill or sit at tables in the outdoor tent (heated in colder months) or sit inside the tasting room. The bathrooms are always clean. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. There are some chickens and goats for the kids to check out. Last time we went the goats were play fighting, and it was quite an exciting show! Honestly we would go every weekend if we could!

This is a great Place to grab a beer and sit with the family. With plenty of space to spread out, bring a blanket or your own chairs and make your own little spot. There's no inside seating but again, there's plenty of room outside and a large parking area. Great offering of beers too!

This place has the best pizza and friendly staff on the pizza Charles and the cows are a plus

We recently attended the Harvest at the Hill festival and it was amazing! $15 general admission got you entrance, a tasting glass, and first pour. Additional pours were $5 and there were TONS on tap! The VIP tent had some specialty brews (I think I'm in love with ALL of the Jousting Windmill flavors!) and there were also some specialty cask brews. Several food trucks were on site and Manor's restaurant Victoria Gastro Pub had lobster rolls... yum! Totally looking forward to another event!

Beer was good. The vibe was great. The music was great. Their bbq chicken thighs got my wife sick and she hasn't thrown up in 12 years. She only sampled 1/2 of the raspberry seltzer. Got to admit never seen thighs that dry...

My second visit here was a bit of a different experience. First time, I spent the night at the bar meeting funny, helpful bartenders eating delicious happy hour food and enjoying flights of tap variety. This visit we dined in to enjoy the half price pizzas. I will say the pizza was scrumptious..for half price I was happy. Probably would pay full price though. I was a bit disappointed that nearly everything I attempted to order at the bar was tapped, leaving me pretty much just with water and whatever was left, which wasnt a fun happy hour. Though I would give it a third shot to try more menu items that sound yummy.

Located in Ellicott City. Down a one lane road at the very end. Just when you think you're lost, you found it! Nice outdoor area with picnic tables and corn hole. Inside has a few tables and a big bar. Flights are done in threes and you can write three separate flights on one paper (save a tree!) Prices were good too! Will be back!

I did my first curbside pickup today with the truck windows closed and it was easy. Until there's a vaccine or treatment this and on-line are the only ways I'll consider purchasing anything outside a grocery store.

Wonderful farm with welcoming owners. Plenty of space to relax and explore. The views are breathtaking. The beers are delicious. We've been twice to enjoy the outdoors during Covid and felt really confident in their protocols.

A great place to try new beers! I ordered the Yaldi! a couple times and had a few sips of my friends' beers as well. There is a tented area with heaters and tables/chairs to sit. You can also bring a blanket and sit near the fields for extra social distancing. There are bathrooms and more seating inside where you make purchases. There was also a food truck, but I didn't try the food since I ended up bringing my own picnic food. I would definitely go again! Plus there are COWS on the farm (and chickens) :)

Set at the bar and received excellent service. Why is the entire staff White?!! Howard County is majority non White, why does this brewery only cater to White people. Flying Dog, made in Frederick, is far superior and less expensive. The pizza rail care is very mediocre.

Wings were great burger was good but my nephew ate the crab sandwich in about 5 bites thats is definitely what I'm getting when I go back.

I so loved the experience. I enjoyed the beer, relaxing on the grass while my granddaughter fed the goats. The atmosphere is friendly & tranquil with a touch if serenity. I loved the cakes and fresh vegetables. The Citra beer was my favorite. Definitely will be back on my next visit to Baltimore.

Really cute place and super family friendly. They have goats and chickens. Beer was good and reasonably priced. We were not a fan of the pizza at all though.

I've been here twice and it's a nice little brewery with a great outdoor and indoor area. They have a nice area with benches where your kids can play but for dog parents, they have a no pet policy unfortunately. On the weekends they usually have a food truck, which has been of variable quality. Parking is plentiful on the side of the farm on the grass. If it every gets a bit rainy, they have an indoor area as well as an outdoor tent. It's a great place to spend an afternoon if you live in these parts of Maryland.

One of the best microbrews I've ever visited! I tasted nearly ever brew on tap and they were all awesome! I had signed up for a brewery tour and was a little disappointed to find out that they had no one available to give a tour even though I booked one, but they allowed us to do a self guided tour which was acceptable. And the flights were incredible and made up for it. Unfortunately no food. However, we knew that going in and planned accordingly. I highly suggest a visit.

Second time here- and unfortunately we had a negative experience. Our 4 year old is a little wild -but definitely not over the top- and she was scolded on multiple occasions. If your kid doesn't sit quietly - this may not be the place for you. I don't know if they have a situation where parents are neglectful- but we definitely were not- and just felt like they were breathing down our necks. A solution may be a playground or something to distract more active children:). We love the beer and place- just felt unwelcome on this occasion. A bummer because we had out of town guests with us- and it was embarrassing. It was also empty today - and still the bar had a line. The food truck was overpriced and not that great.

My husband and I have been enjoying Manor Hill canned beers for some time now, though rarely find it on tap for growler fills--freshly tapped beer always being tastier in my opinion. We finally made it out to the brewery on a beautiful Saturday late afternoon. While it was defiantly crowded, and a popular destination, they had ample parking and lots of COVID measures in place. Everyone there was easily able to find an area to socially distance themselves. Blankets, chairs and outside food are strongly encouraged, though there are some tables right outside of the brewery area. We had planned to eat from the on site food truck, it had sold out before we got there. I had a brief panic as we didn't bring any food, and the rustic setting made it seem like not much else was close by. To my surprise the brewery had a whole list of places that delivered and Doordash revealed that one of my ultimate favs-Shake Shack was available (25 min later I had a delish burger in hand). There were tons of families with young kids, including us, and everyone was entertained by the chickens and rolling down the large grassy hill. The staff were very friendly, the beer line was extremely short and efficient. My only complaint was that having to wait 15+ min for the bathroom (only have 2 single toilets)--they could definitely benefit from some temporary porter potties outside, and it would be nice if they sold some gluten free options as well like wine or cider from another local brewery since I have many friends who are gluten intolerant (have been many other breweries have started to do this).

What a hidden gem! I live close to this establishment and never knew it existed. They take reservations on line and they hold this pretty loosely. The beers were tasty and they also offer flights giving newcomers more options. They have seating inside and outside - they also have corn hole too. They allow outside food here so make sure you bring snacks!!!

Great idea of a brewery on the farm. Great laid back and peaceful facility. They have great ideas and recipes for craft beers. If you visit Maryland and love craft beer Manor Hill is must.

Went for the first time and had a great experience. Highly recommend bringing chairs to sit on the lawn. Good beers and plenty of space for social distancing. Did a great job enforcing everyone wearing masks when not drinking or eating, felt super comfortable during these weird times. We will definitely be back.

The owners did a great job converting the old building into an attractive, fairly large restaurant. The food was good. But I have two complaints. The first is the menu. My niece and I were looking for something simple before getting back on the road. We both ordered crabcake sandwiches, each thinking the price would be $14 based on the e-menu. Instead we were billed $28 each. The confusing display of prices on the e-menu caused both of us to think the price of a less expensive sandwich was the price of the crab cake sandwich. Second, the waitress was inattentive. In particular, we waited at least 10 minutes for the waitress to bring us a check. Finally, we got up to go find her. She was visiting with the bartender and expressed no regret for the delay.

Nice ppl. Samples are $4 for 3. Some beers you can only get in the growler. They have tables outside and in where you can stand or sit at bar. Bring your own food! There must be a pizza place close by because we saw several ppl leave and come back with pizza. The property is nice! They have a house on the other side. Looks like they are about to start making wine also. Only gave it 4 stars because I would have liked someone from the staff to walk me thru the facility and talk about what they do instead of a free for all.

It's a nice area to hang out on a sunny day. Had a beer with my partner and our dog in the field. We got asked to leave because dogs are not allowed because of rescue cats. But, service dogs are....

The Marriner family that gave us Victoria Gastro Pub has established their own brewery in Howard County: Manor Hill. While their beers have been available for a while at Victoria's and a few other local restaurants, they've only recently opened a tap room to the public on Saturdays from 12-4. Full disclaimer: I'm not a huge fan of very hoppy beers and most of their beers are "hop forward farm style beers." That being said, they do have a style for people of all tastes. Considering how new of a brewery this is, they are clearly pushing the limits of new, exciting recipes. The single-lane road that leads to the farm passes through beautiful countryside where they grow much of their own hops. Upon our arrival, Mr. Marriner waved us in, welcomed us, and eagerly introduced himself. Some of the same staff you might see at Victoria Gastro Pub was behind the bar serving up 12oz pours for $5 and flights of three 4.5oz. sampler beers for $4. Both Marriner daughters Tori and Katherine mingled with the group, as eager as their father to make sure we were okay (but with a cumulative effect of being almost too much for me; I just wanted to enjoy some beer!). No formal tours; just ask one of the staff and they'll set you up. Tori took us around and showed us just how much they've accomplished in the last few years to get this property up and running. You can wander around yourself too, though I would imagine that experience would work better if a few things were better labeled; without a guide, you might have little idea what you're looking at. As of this writing, they've only been open for a month, so I look forward to seeing how they progress and expand and continue to partner with Howard County farms and businesses.

Definitely worth a visit. They have 14 beers on tap, including a few that are exclusive to the brewery. A flight of three 5 oz. pours is $6. I had two flights, and the beers ranged from good to excellent. They don't serve food, but they do allow you to bring your own food. They grow their own barley and hops on site, which gives the property a charming rustic feel. The brewery itself isn't huge; they have seating at the bar, a few tables inside, and a few picnic tables outside with cornhole boards. So, it's a good idea to make a reservation, just to be safe. That said, we were there on a Saturday night and had no trouble getting a table either inside or outside. There was plenty of space for parking too. The bartenders were great too, one of whom took us on a brief tour of the brewery. Manor Hill is quickly becoming one of my favorite Maryland breweries, and I look forward to returning periodically to check out their latest offerings. If you're a fan of good beer in a pleasant and laid-back atmosphere, you'd be well served to check it out.

Update - We have been coming here regularly since they opened and love it. It's a wonderful family-friendly brewery that is warm, welcoming, and picturesque with awesome beer. Definitely 5-Star quality and wonderful outing for us on a sunny weekend afternoon. ------ This is a four-star review, but I suspect I will update it later to 5-stars. This is a young brewery with lots of potential!! Most of their beers are in the hops family, but they have a few non-hoppy varieties that are enjoyable as well. The Farm Fuzz and Fuzzed, for example, are peach wittes with great flavor. The Fuzzed is brewed with more peaches, resulting in a higher alcohol content and stronger peach flavor while the Farm Fuzz is a bit lighter. Both are very tasty. The Manor Farm IPA is great -- according to myself (who prefers wheats and stouts) and my husband (a lover of IPAs). It doesn't leave a bitter after taste and is still flavorful. Very nice! The coffee brown IPA has a good strong coffee flavor. This weekend they unveiled the Passion Fruit IPA which was also very good. It's a limited release, though. And similar to the Citra Splendor IPA, I suspect it will sell out. (The Citra Splendor was awesome - please bring it back for another round!!) The reason for a point deduction is that there isn't much to do other than drink in the bar area. You can walk around a bit for a self-guided tour of the brewery equipment and they pulled out cornhole, but there aren't picnic tables or other places to really settle in and enjoy a beer or two. Since the place is so crowded (I imagine they grew quicker than anticipated), there is limited room to stay and enjoy yourself. I suspect (and hope) that they will expand the outside seating a little and maybe move the cornhole slightly farther from the building so it's easier to use. I'm really looking forward to experiencing this brewery as it grows! Btw, the backdrop of the brewery is beautiful - if they offer it as a wedding venue, I would recommend that any engaged couple seriously consider it!

On a stroll to Chipotle one day I walked into a beer/wine store and a lovely gentleman was offering Manor Hill beer at a tasting table. It was delish. If I didn't have to drive home I would drank all their beer. Bought a 6 pack of the Farmhouse Ale and a bunch of since packs some that glorious day.

We have been here a few times with a group of friends and always have a fun time. The property is absolutely beautiful. I'll admit that I am insanely envious of the property owners, who not only live on this gorgeous property and have a beautiful house, but have plenty of beer to come with it all! Not necessarily my favorite beers overall, but it's a great place to enjoy good beer with good friends, and glad to have another local brewery in the area.
