Got my wisdom tooth extracted today and my experience was more than great here. The oral surgeon Dr. Marz and his team did an amazing job. They talked me through everything before it happens, what to expect and showed lots of patience with me. The front desk staff was very sweet. Their financial lady was sweet and very informative. I would definitely be back if needed with the service I was provided today.

I love this place when you're underassured or not.Insured low income. This place is amazing.I've had my wisdom tooth removed.I had to have jaw surgery here and my son.Just had two cavities filled all very, very amazing

I brought my disabled sister here after learning she had severe gum disease, broken teeth, and many issues including the need for extractions and partials that were quoted at another dentist to be around 10k to have done. Manos de Cristo estimated her treatment at half that cost. My sister doesn’t have dental insurance that covers much with managed Medicaid and only receives SSI. I was feeling overwhelmed at the cost, but it’s not optional. Elva, an angel in the back office, felt my apprehension and suggested that I call the Central Health MAP program and apply for dental benefits and explained that my sister would likely be a candidate for their program even with Medicaid. I came home and applied immediately and less than a week later, my sister received her card and will pay $10/visit. Everyone at the clinic was kind and supportive. I can’t tell you how relieved I am. My sister felt very comfortable and is now looking forward to a healthy smile! Thank you to everyone at Manos de Cristo!

There’s so many good things I can say about Manos De Cristo, and honestly… nothing bad. I’ve had cavities, crowns, and now root canals, as a small business owner I have to watch what I spend. This is cheaper for me than insurance and I feel that they are honest and now trying to get sells. Don’t be ashamed to use their services. I love it. And just my opinion. But they have the hottest dentist’s in town. Anglo woman speaking Spanish. Muah!

They are the best! Preventatively got all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted here. After getting a quote from another dental surgeon estimating almost $4000 for the work, I did a same day walk-in appointment at Manos de Cristo and got my teeth x-rayed and a quote of ~$1500 for the wisdom teeth extraction (which includes the follow-up appointment). They don't do sedation at this clinic which is part of the reason for the reduced cost but since they still numb the gums and mouth, being awake for the procedure was no big deal. The procedure was about an hour and Dr. Marx and RDA Diana were phenomenal! I appreciated how Diana applied air along my left arm as a helpful distraction when receiving the local anesthesia injections. Post procedure Dr. Marx was professional, took the time to explain what to expect, and Diana detailed the post-care instructions. The follow-up appointment 2 weeks after the surgery went wonderfully. The RDA Rosie was absolutely sweet and interested in my comfort. She offered to recline the chair so I could lay and relax while I waited for Dr. Marx to join and provided friendly conversation. His check-up on my teeth was quick (2 min), confirmed my healing was progressing well, and Rose kindly explained how to use the flushing syringes to support my continued my recovery over the next 2 weeks. Her positive energy was a delightful way to bookend my treatment with them. Only downside was the long wait time for the same-day walk-in appointment and the follow-up appointment, but for the affordability, quality of care, and incredible staff, it's totally worth it! Highly recommend!

Today I came without appointment for a tooth that was hurting. It wasn’t an ER case yet, but they still did my fillings right away! The prices are affordable, the dentists are very professionals and the assistants very kind. Thank you so much!

Google
My experience with Manos de Cristo has been more than satisfactory. The people are so friendly and helpful. The cost is "normal" and affordable. I wholeheartedly recommend Manos de Cristo.

Google
This place is genuinely amazing. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Cannot reccommend Manos enough!!

Yelp
I had a full exam & two old fillings replaced here & was SO impressed with the efficiency, friendliness & professionalism of this amazing place. The dentists were gentle & expert - you are in very good hands.

Natalie L.

Yelp
Try doing "Dr Phillips mouth care system" for a couple months before making any permanent procedures!

Mari M.

Yelp
The 1st time I went they were very helpful, clean and organized. They will work with anyone's financial situation if need be, and they're pretty darn good at their job. They'll make you feel comfortable if you're not. I recommended my twin, she also needed her tooth pulled or extracted and the same went for her as well. I've sent other people and friends I know as well to Manos De Cristos facility and I'd be happy to let others know as well.

Genelle G.

Yelp
Dr. HOFFMAN is the best sweetest humble dentist i ever have been too. They all there are super nice and professional. Quality compasion for her work and exceptional care in her work though have made her my favorite!

Yelp
What a Blessed Place. Manos de Cristo, faithful to Jesus offers a daily food pantry and clothes closet from 8 AM to 11 AM Monday to Friday. They also have a very affordable and trustworthy dental service with check ups at $75 where they accept MAP cards. We thank Jesus for their faith and their blessings. Amen. ‍

Yelp
The people there are working to help those in need and they are very kind and understanding. It was one of the first places I found when I arrived in Austin and they did not disappoint.

James W.

Yelp
Went there to get a tooth pulled but as a white guy they sent me to a fancy dentist whom I thought qast going to give a discount. But I was wrong and it cost me 750.00 to remove each of 4 teeth they recommended removing, putting me in debt for years. Shame I wasn't treated as well as all the rest of the Hispanic clients there.

Kiersten W.

Yelp
I'm giving 2 stars because the saving grace to this office was Dr.Jenny who was very pleasant and refreshing to deal with after the previous interaction I had with his staff . I went to Manos De Cristo as an emergency due to intense wisdom tooth pain I couldn't tolerate anymore, when I arrived to the clinic I still was not in the best head space so I was a little loopy when interacting with the front desk. Working in healthcare myself I know that you need to deal with people who are in pain with empathy and patience , especially when your clinic could be potentially doing surgery on them . The lady at the front desk repeatedly called me back to the window because I kept missing signatures (my fault) but I could tell in her tone she was annoyed by this while I was walking back to the waiting room I heard her say very loudly I might add " she just left her ID up here and everything " talking to her other coworker about me and rolling her eyes ". The rude lady was Hispanic , had tattoos, and her hair in a bun I leave this description just so if seen by her HR they know who she is . Anyways I called back a day later because I had questions regarding sedation (they quoted me 480 for 2 wisdom with only local anesthetic) she did have any knowledge of medications used and had a very snarky ugly tone when speaking, she told me she would have a doctor call me back with more information, I never received a call and she hug up before I could say anything further . I was so put off by the representation of Mantos De Cristo I decided to proceed in a different direction to get my teeth extracted I ending up paying 560 for full general anesthesia and all 4 teeth pulled at hill country oral surgery in Buda and it was an amazing experience from the front desk to the lady who wheeled me out from surgery . Hope this helps!

Yelp
Cancelled my appointment without telling me. Tried to tell me they reached out via text and call to confirm the appointment and I showed them my text log of unknown numbers showing that was not true. I asked for a whole day off of work for this only for them to cancel without telling me. Now my appointments been moved and I'll have to lose another day of work for this. Completely unprofessional.

Yelp
This place is great specially if you don't have dental insurance. Very comfortably priced but exceptional experience. There was one tiny hiccup on one of my visits that isn't even worth mentioning because it was partly my fault but that right there just shows how good this place is. I was petrified of the dentist well into my late twenties and now I've finally thanks to the staff here have been able to become regular with my doctor visits. They shot me straight without insulting or belittling me. Thanks Manos de Cristo recommend this place as much as I can 10/10

Yelp
As an English speaking Mexican American born and raised in Texas, I feel this nonprofit caters to non- English speaking immigrants in the area rather than to everyone that is seeking their services. My first complaint is the xray tech did not bother to put the radiation vest on me, another female dentist walks in without introducing herself and states oh you need #14 pulled out, I was like every other dentist has told me that it is tooth #15, she was like oh whatever, same difference. Yes, she did actually said that as a professional to a paying customer. $50 for xrays on Monday, August 08, 2022. Scheduled for 7am $200 extraction on Thursday, August 12, 2022. Arrive and told I'd be referred to another clinic that offered reduced rates to Manos de Cristo customers. Disappointed but okay, I need tooth #14 extracted. Long story short, I feel robbed, deceived and taken advantage of. I was referred to Austin Oral Surgery 512-591-955, told I'd receive a 30% discount but they wouldn't confirm a dollar amount but to expect no more than $84. Austin Oral Surgery appointment setters also would never give me a dollar amount even after I stated I am on a limited income. $204 for panoramic xrays that Manos de Cristo had done but AOS wanted their own. $127 just to talk (consult with dentist) No one checked my mouth for sores or gums for bleeding only looked at the tooth and scheduled surgery . Actual extraction with anesthesia will be $ 738.50. Imagine being in pain, desperate for help, going to non profit that claims to help the sick and poor and being referred to a fancy Westlake oral clinic that wants you to pay a thousand dollars for your pain to go away. That was my experience. Being Christian I will leave it in God's hands and pray I can come up with some money to have my tooth extracted. The audacity of Austin Oral Surgery to have business practices when setting up an appointment for a low income customers referred by non profit Manos De Cristo in Austin TX to not confirm dollar amounts or what to expect financially when setting up an appointment for dental services. Not only in the four times I called before setting my appointment to get someone to confirm dollar amounts with discount for low income customers and no one would answer my question when I arrive and have "consultation" to schedule extraction of tooth. You are placed in front of a nurse's station where any employees or other persons within ears range can hear your personal business of financial payment. Its embarrassing and a manipulative business practices that seriously have been giving me anxiety and panic attacks. How can you claim to do charity work or work with a Christian non profit but not be forth coming with discount prices. Sure you give a 30% discount but you also know these desperate people like myself don't have medical insurance and live pay check to pay check. A $200 consult and xray fee is a lot for someone that just went to manos de Christo non profit and paid $50 for xray and possibly $200 for a tooth extraction. Now you want me to pay $204 for another xray and $738.50 for a tooth extraction with anesthesia with a clause in my financial obligation that you can later charge my debit/credit card if you deem necessary and you don't discuss what steps your business will take if I have a cardiac stroke or medical emergency while I'm under your care under anesthesia? No thank you, you are not doing me any favors so don't treat low income patients with no medical insurance as charity work.

Yelp
Today was my third visit to Manos de Cristo, and it for a cleaning with Cory. As with everything so far, he was the best dental hygienist I've ever had. He was personable, had a sense of humor and very kind. I've truly dreaded every appointment the last six years until I found Manos. The others were typically in a hurry and would dash in and out of my room. The staffs were all phony politeness and far removed. At Access Dental they obviously recruited them the day before from some fast food joint where they couldn't make it. I've been afraid to give these guys a good review for fear it would be more difficult to get in. Even Rose the assistant was very competent. My intake eval last month began with palpating the neck and shoulders for swollen glands, something extremely rare for a dentist to do. Dr. Leeser was slow, methodical and went over it with me carefully, and i left with a treatment plan that addressed items of urgency, unlike the last place I went to who gave me an incomprehensible diagram with strange synonyms in place of regular words like cavity or root canal. I hope my business makes it in a year or so then i can give them a big fat donation! They really deserve it.

Aaron W.

Yelp
The dental assistant was extremely rude, X-ray the wrong tooth and acted like it was my fault. Then would only setup appointment for extraction 8 days later. Paid $50 for exam to leave in the same pain with no antibiotics for the infection . Now looking for some where else to have the teeth extracted.

Yelp
The dentist, Dr Devine and his assistant Rose were so amazing. I came in for a tooth extraction and that tooth had also abscessed, so I was in a LOT of pain and really nervous about the procedure. They were so patient and kind to me, very thorough in explaining everything and making sure I was good and numb before rushing into the procedure. The nurse even held my hand during the shots and somehow Dr Devine gave me the least painful shots in my mouth I've ever had, considering how tender the whole area was. I have no words for how grateful I am for their treatment of me. They genuinely care and I feel very fortunate. The only negative thing I can say about this dental clinic is about the receptionists, but the doctor and nurses were so great that I didn't wanna take away any stars from them. But just be aware that the rude and unhelpful receptionists do NOT represent the team in the back. Also, whenever you call to speak to someone, it'll usually only ring once and then go to voicemail, which is full 90% of the time. When it's not full and you do leave a voicemail, you will not get called back. The receptionists do not care about your pain, experience, or well being, and I'm not really sure how they still have jobs there but hopefully this is something that will be addressed soon. Thank you Dr Devine and Rose! I am healing up great.
google avatar

Jamie M.

Yelp
I had to come back and give a updated review. I have a long treatment plan scheduled and it will cost thousands of dollars. I have a rare disease that causes the acid in my stomach to essentially melt my teeth. I am in for the long haul. I have scheduled many appointments and the second appointment I was going to be ten minutes late. The woman that answered the phone doesn't care that I am driving 40 miles Nor does she care that I am spending lots of money. She flat rescheduled me for 3 weeks out. This was her way of paying me back. So watch the office behavior. I fully expect to talk to the dentist about this. So I am anxious to see how the conversation goes when I call the business manager. My money can go else where.

Yelp
I am forever grateful and happy I found this place! I'm self employed and unfortunately cannot afford dental insurance. So I've been putting off my teeth for YEARS. It is very affordable and the dentist are thorough and really do care!

Johane T.

Yelp
Was ok, decided to get insurance instead. Was only a bit more expensive than what quoted here but totally worth it.

Yelp
They are better than community care and I recommend this business to anyone and Ms.Rose is FREAKING AWSOME!! And Ms.Gabby is always nice and friendly and understanding. All in all Manos de cristo is the best!

Yelp
My initial exam was done by nurse Ismelda and she was highly knowledgeable and fast. She assessed what I needed and got me seen ASAP same day. I suffered a blunt force trauma when I was 13 years old and lost tooth#11 20 years later as it became infected and abscessed. Mania stepped in to help me get a referral for an implant which normally cost about 6000 to 8000 for 2400. I am very grateful for their highly skilled nurses like Ismelda and my other exam nurse Elva who have worked in the industry well over a decade and were far better dental nurses than I ever was when I used to work with a maxillofacial surgeon almost 10 years ago. Nurse Elva gave me great advice to opt for the implant vs a flipper not to up-sell me but because it truly is the best choice given my condition and dental issues. A flipper would not have been good given the aesthetics and my age or the fact that I would have bone resorption if an implant would not be used.
google avatar

Alireza S.

Yelp
The doctors are not really experienced but two ladies at the front desk are the worst. They are rude. You can say they hate their job by just looking at them. They ruin the entire experience for you and treat you like you are worthless. I was standing talking to one of them to let her know that "I have an appointment right now" she didn't even say hi, she didn't say anything instead she started to talk on the phone for 5 minutes while I was standing there without even paying attention to me. After that she comes back and she didn't even bother to apologize for making me stand there. This has been happening every time, during the last two month, I have come to this place.

Yelp
Thank god for this clinic my husband broke a back tooth and we have no dental insurance we where recommend by Volunteer Health Clinic to go there the very next day we went and the staff was amazing got my husband X-ray and told him he had an infection and the rest of his tooth had to be pulled out within 3 days he has his tooth pulled and a few antibiotics he was as good as new thanks to all the staff you guys are sent from heaven
google avatar

Jewel G.

Yelp
You get referred by Community Care... then they charge you $45 for an xray for your crown and root canal... And if it's a molar that needs a roof canal they refer you some where else. Yea they are money hungry not concerned about the public. It's all hype!
google avatar

Twilight S.

Yelp
They are wonderful! I was dying (not literally, but it felt like it) from a toothache. They are decently priced and pretty nice. (yeah, I rhymed. Deal.) I would recommend them if you need dental work and are in a bind.
google avatar

Lily L.

Yelp
Manos is devoted to empowering individuals through educational programs, food and clothing programs, and a dental clinic so that the working poor in our community can gain dignity and self-reliance. Manos offers many opportunities to be involved by providing a helping hand to those in need. It is indeed a unique and rewarding place to volunteer!

Yelp
Boy, does this place stink and I only got a consultation. Please let me qualify the shockingly bad qualities of this dump categorically. 1) Front Staff: Nice. Not out of their way helpful, but have no complaints. When I told them i had my own X-rays, they seemed annoyed and insisted I still needed to pay the X-ray fee. Okay....But worse, they said that if the emailed X-rays weren't clear I'd have to get new X-rays. Again, words I haven't heard from other dental offices. The tone is starting to set. 2) Dental Nurse: She told me she had 15 years in the profession..I just don't buy it. She seemed confused and out of ways in simply opening X-Rays and taking some doctor notes. She appeared so lost. And AGAIN annoyed I had my own X-rays Scanned. 3) DENTIST NOW it gets good. I had been to an expensive dentist in downtown Austin who had found 3 cavities, so I knew where I was treatment-wise. I just decided to come here for a cheaper price. This doctor, whose name I wish I knew, magically found an EXTRA SIX CAVITIES, and 3 BABY TEETH. Again, according to this dude I have three baby teeth at 24!!! And whenever he saw these cavities to be extensive he jumped toward root canal without hesitation. I also had a broken tooth which one of the better and longer lasting treatments is a crown. He instead went for the cheaper process of bonding. I have since moved to California and seen three other dentists all of which laughed at the idea of the baby teeth and only found the original 3 cavities. This dentist made up three baby teeth and six cavities for his own profit. These doctors were in Beverly Hills and would have had no problem taking my money at their egregious prices if applicable. Garbage treatment. I don't know how this dentist sleeps at night. 4) Cost: You're checking this place out because you probably heard they are cheap. Let me put you at ease, they are not. Their consultation with X-Rays is $45. A good rate but nothing spectacular. Deals like that exist at most dental offices. Their filling rate seems cheap at $135, but most dental offices are similar rates if you drop the dental sedative layer applied to the filling. Without the sedative, most rates are similar. Overall because these charlatans find more problems with your teeth, the entire treatment will be more expensive. At my expensive California Dentist I payed $2600 for three fillings and a Zicronium Crown. Here I would have payed $2900 for seven fillings and 2 root canals (the imaginary baby teeth had to go to an Oral Surgeon.) Again more expensive, probably shoddy dentist doing shoddy work that was unnecessary. Verdict: Just don't go this place. You deserve honest treatment and this place will not offer you that. Let them understand their dishonest measures will lose them customers.

James M.

Yelp
Thank you to the dentists who volunteer their time here. My final cost of extracting 4 teeth was a measly fraction of what 2 other dentists were planning on charging me!
google avatar

Ben M.

Yelp
I have to give a big shout out to Manos Dr Christo. These guys gave me an exam for an abscessed tooth on Thursday then extracted the tooth on Monday. Mrs. Rose the dental assistant helped me to feel at ease and educated me about my particular condition. She was super friendly and you can tell she has a heart the size of Texas for her patients. The dentist himself was also very friendly and so fast he made sure that I was completely numb where he was working and had the tooth out before I even knew it. These people are amazing and for a very extremely reasonable price. I recommend them for everyone. I've never been to a better dental facility.
google avatar

Ayla G.

Yelp
I thought Manos de Cristo was a charity type clinic. I have herd it is either free or VERY low charge for dental care for the poor. I work in the dental field and we would send our pts that were in a financial crisis there, only to have them come back with a list of fees that were more expensive then ours? I sent my friend there who had a dental emergency that the cost for the exam and extraction was actually more expensive then a few dental practices I worked at. & That is that they were boutique spa dental practices. This place is not a charity, community service, non-profit organization they claim to be. It's sad really. Austin needs a charity type clinic, I hope they open a REAL one soon.
google avatar

Jenny Y.

Yelp
I am so impressed by the dental care I have received from this organization. For those not familiar with the services they provide, check out the website. They accept patients who do not have dental insurance. The cost of treatments/ procedures is deeply discounted. I have never been treated so well and with the compassion the entire staff has exhibited to to me and other patients. The team is professional and it's so obvious that they love what they do. I should have done more research but I think it's funded primarily by donations. I have a fixed income but when I have extra $ I will figure out how to become a donor and volunteer anywhere they need!
google avatar

Kelly M.

Yelp
I was really pleasantly surprised by my experience at "Manos." Last time I was there I had a tooth extraction and the Dr. was kind and caring and knew what he was doing. He also made sure that I knew what I was doing so that I didn't run into any problems. I didn't. Today I had a filling. It was my first filling in many years and I was a little nervous. I didn't need to be. The Dr and the hygenist both took great care of me. My treatment plan was revised and I was on my way (after a reasonable payment) in just under an hour. I wish that I had insurance but until I get some, I'm really grateful for Manos!!!

Yelp
Yesterday I had a terrible experience here. I understand that it is a facility geared towards poorer clintel, specifically those of us without health insurance. That, however shouldn't mean you treat your patients like fast food customers. I have never had an extraction while awake so I didn't know what to expect. I started having an anxiety attack as the novocain was administered. I was hyperventilating and physically shaking in the chair. THe doctor continued on, unphased by the fact that I was distraught and never thought twice about the fact that my face was shaking while he had a needle in my mouth. He offered no consolation, only a nurse tried to calm me down and reassure me everything would be ok. Onto the extraction... Yet again, hyperventilating and shaking. This mad wouldn't even take the drill out of my mouth so I could catch my breath. It was an awful experience. If you're tough as nails its worth it. If you have any second thoughts, spend the extra cash to go to a real dentist. I was also left with nearly no after care instructions. All I learned I got from the internet... Which can be vague and misleading. With no follow up appointment I'm just hoping this is how it's supposed to look and feel. Only reason for the two stars instead of one was the demeanor of the nursing staff and the fact that they're here to help out those in need. Will NEVER go back.

Yelp
I received exceptional care at Manos de Cristo at a fairly affordable rate. Going to the dentist is never fun but all in all, I had a great experience here.

Yelp
This place suck. The dentist are very disrespectful towards you. I mean a patient who just want help
google avatar

J E.

Yelp
I had a great experience at the Manos de Cristo dental center. The dentist who helped me was nice and I didn't feel that she recommended unnecessary work, which I have felt before at other clinics. I would definitely recommend it to people who don't have insurance and need dental work.
google avatar

Franzi Z.

Yelp
The receptionist Elva is the worst., apparently she thinks she is God., but not, we are patients and you are the receptionist Elva, so please... treat us well... that is your job! really mad at her all the time I go... JS ( don't have bad words for nurses and doctors, they are great)

Yelp
New Crown today..Thank you Dr. Sandoval and Emelda, you ROCK! See you again in a few weeks for the next tooth. Looking forward to having you repair all my teeth.

Yelp
The dental clinic run by this charitable organization is so badly needed! I'm a working lady without dental insurance and hadn't seen a dentist in over 5 years due to the expense involved. I found out about MdC through a friend and I am so extremely glad they exist. They took care of the 4 fillings I needed and referred me to an endodontist for a root canal-and with the referral from the clinic, they gave me 50% off! I would have never been able to afford these services from a typical dentists' office. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Come prepared to wait for an hour + for your appointments, but with this kind of discount, it's worth it.
google avatar

Rosa D.

Yelp
I just want to start off by saying how absolutely traumatizing & damaging this experience has been to me and my family all because I am "poor" & have no dental insurance....HAD no insurance. This has been 4 months now to complete a root canal, that according to your office manager, the dental staff are completely qualified to do. Which I also realize I am CCing her on this too! :) I initially went in for what I thought was cavity, turned out I needed fillings & a FEW root canals. I walk in and I am greeted with "Hola como estas? como yo puedo ayudar? " or something of the sort, I can only imagine because I have BROWN skin?? I dont speak spanish, I am actually Brazilian, to me felt discriminatory. I had also come in once before just to do the X-rays and was sent away because I had my baby & was unaware I couldn't bring her back there with me. waste of gas, time & energy. Not to mention she was incredibly rude at the front desk AGAIN. Then I had the full exam X-rays offered to be done when I finally was seen (walk-in), the dental asst. there 1st off seemed SO put out that she now had to do more X-rays on me than originally. After the 1st dentist said I need to have my fillings possibly reconstructed because they were breaking off (after being pregnant, chewing ice, not seeing a dentist for almost a year...) I was ok with it, this was in september.I scheduled my next appt for October, hoping to get it all done, when I told them I would be scheduling for all of it. she sounded surprised. Unbeknownst to me, there would be MANY appts. involved for one relatively "simple" procedure. (I have a small baby, I have to have my husband take off of work to watch her for numerous appts, costing our single income family to hurt by him missing work.) I really needed something where it was no more than 2 appts. & that was never explained to me until after they started. When I came in for the appt. & they started to work on one tooth for the root canal, to make a long story short, the file broke off in my tooth. I have never heard of this, nor has this ever happened to me. Not only did the very sweet dentist seem totally shocked and walked off to get advice I'm sure...explained to me what happened, told me that I need to NOW go to a specialist to get it out. I went to payment desk & they told me to go to South Austin Microendodontics & that it would only cost me $50 & they will just take it out. I go there the same day to see "Meredith Overstreet DDS" then she looked at it, after I actually was told I had to pay $65, and then got NEW xrays, so probably a grand total of 20 Xrays just this day alone. After getting my X-rays, she then told me to "just go back to Manos, I should be fine & they can just continue the root canal & put a crown on it because it seems the file totally filled the root. OR I can finish the root canal with them for $720." ALL of this after I was told by Manos, that it would only be $50 & then removed! So, I call back to Manos, telling them all of the above. They told me it should only be $50, that they would have to call them back & straighten things out. I waited, I think it was about a WEEK later that I heard back from Manos and they told me then, if I go ahead & get it done at Micro. that it would be the $250, then come back to Manos after getting the file removed, and they won't charge me up to the $250. I asked to speak with the office manager and she had to call me back. If I recall correctly, this was also ANOTHER week later. Meaning between MY birthday, SONS birthday, I had a temporary filling with a file still in my tooth waiting for this call to tell me what I needed to do! When she did call me and told me THE exact same thing. I asked then would I be responsible for any difference above the $250. She didn't seem to understand what I was asking, I tried to rephrase it, then got frustrated by her telling me the same thing over and over, which was not answering what I was asking. I then hung up out of pure frustration. I didn't hear back, ever again. Last week was the first time I had called again, requesting my X-rays to be emailed to me. The lady who answered first spelled my email wrong, so then sent it to the wrong email. The second I called and spoke with today confirmed wrong email. So very possibly someone has my personal info/X-rays, its taken longer than 3 days to email them to me, when the other place took 1 minute. While I still have a temporary filling with the file in my tooth 4 months later. Spent all my money toward getting this worked out & leaving me to not know what to do. The issue wasn't really the money in the long run, but more the fact that I didn't want to have to come in to use your facility ever again. Obviously, unlike the office manager said, your staff are not FULLY qualified to do specific procedures..... i.e. "obstruction removal"! The office manager couldn't have been more rude, belittling everything, talking down

Yelp
I was referred to Manos de Cristo (Hands of Christ) by a government agency. It is one of several places where I looked for affordable dental care. The experience I had there was, to say the least, horrible. The lady at the front desk (Elba) was being very rude to every person in line ahead of me. I overheard her insulting the intelligence of a gentleman and heard her disrespecting another lady that was very disappointed when she found out how much money she owed to the clinic. Elba was very rude to her when she told her bluntly (raising her voice, almost yelling) that there was nothing she cold do to help her. Needless to say, I was already expecting her to yell at me as well. And sure enough, she made me feel like a beggar when I inquired about their services. A place with such a name (Hands of Christ) should be a little more careful when hiring its employees. I'm a very religious person and was definitely expecting a more humane treatment from a non-profit organization like this one. And I say humane because I never expected to get anything free from the clinic, but I definitely expect from any organization to treat its clients with respect, dignity, and in the case of a place called Hands of Christ, a minimum amount of empathy and compassion for the sick and poor. There is no place for a person like Elba in a clinic that uses the name of Christ. I got my tooth removed at a different clinic. If the front desk is already treating people like that, I don't want to find out how the surgical procedure would be.

Yelp
This place is great for people without insurance HOWEVER: Expect some pain. I had a wisdom tooth extracted and they prescribed me 600mg Ibuprofen... I am in so much pain. Seriously beware. If you have any other option consider it. OW WTF WHY?!

Yelp
My husband and I have been patients of Manos de Cristo for over 13 years, and we have both received excellent care, without exception. From the front desk, to the dental assistants, and hygienist, to the dentist, they have been kind, gentle, extremely skilled, and accommodating. As a medical social worker, I have referred patients to Manos, and they also have had excellent care. At one point, I had to go to a private dentist, back when Manos was closed several days during the Christmas holidays (they no longer do that). I spent alot of money for very little actual care and was very glad to return to Manos! I recommend them, without reservation!

Yelp
The front office receptionist have zero business dealing with the general public. They offer absoluty no customer service especially (Elva) she is very rude and needs to be moved for the front.

Yelp
The two receptionist are the rudest people I have ever met in my entire life. Those girls doesn't know how to treat people in a friendly way. It is a pity because I like the doctors, but they are ruining my experience there. It had to say it, enought is enought

Yelp
I was treated with such care and respect at Manos de Cristo. I saw Mollie, and she is by far the best hygienist I have ever had! Normally the dentist gives me enormous anxiety and is extremely painful. Mollie made me feel comfortable, relaxed, reminded me to breathe, was very friendly and truly educated me on how to take care of my teeth. No judgement, no fear, no worry. It was like a day at the spa! Now I have a dazzling smile and fantastic confidence all thanks to my friends at Manos de Cristo! I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Yelp
I'm so glad that this dental clinic exists! As a non-traditional student, I'm too old to be on my parent's health insurance and too poor to buy my own. Manos De Cristo offers low-cost dental services like cleanings and fillings. They also offer walk-in appointments from 7-9am Monday through Thursday. Go early and be prepared to wait for a while, but they'll get you in. I went after I cracked a molar. They took radiographs, determined that I needed a root canal, and referred me to an endodontic specialist who gave me a 40% discount. I'm not sure how much a cleaning is, but fillings cost about $120 each. The staff is very nice.

Yelp
Every time I come on time there running behind, their front desk staff is always rude when they call, they demand you call them back to confirm but there always late to get you back. They act like there doing people a favor with their demeanor. Y'all should really look into your customer service and the way they speak to patients. The front staff needs to change their attitude.

Yelp
I have been going to Manos for over 10 years. The people in the front desk are getting better everyday. The last two times i went to manos I had some work done by some dentist name Sandoval. First she was so rude to me. Then she was suppose to do a crown and I felt very uncomfortable the way she was talking about other customer in front of me in very cruel manner. After many weeks my jaw still in pain. looking for another place to finish my work...

Yelp
Thank you for an awesome visit Manos de Cristo Dental Team! The receptionists were respectful and caring, the staff that saw me before the dentist were professional and kind, and a great thank you to Dr. Sandoval who fixed my tooth: when I tell people what happened and show them the work they always say "which one is it?" Thanks Dr Sandoval for giving me a tooth that looks just like the rest of my not so perfect teeth! Most stress-free dental visit.

Yelp
This clinic provides excellent care at a reduced rate. The staff is professional and compassionate. I got out of jail 2 years ago with very little money and lots of problems with my teeth. I now have a healthy set of teeth and can't thank Manos de Cristo enough. Dr. Sandovall is my favorite. She is so thorough and takes time to explain what she's doing in laymen's terms. There are no surprises and no pain.
