A Baton Rouge fixture since 1989 with nightly piano, Creole classics, and a deep wine list. Long admired by locals and often cited in 225 Magazine for seafood and oysters.

The food is as good as the hype. The cocktails are also great. Surprisingly, for a high end restaurant, the prices are actually really reasonable too. The restaurant is very clean and cozy. Our waiter, Pluto, albeit not a pro waiter by any means, but she was very nice and helpful. Very pleasant waiter and very pleased with our experience.

Google
Mansurs was alright! Many people in town recommending this as a high end Louisiana food spot. It’s not necessarily a steak house, but they do have that as an option. It is more so a seafood spot. I tried a lot of food - but overall, the food was very greasy. The whole point of the place is to saturate things in butter and oil. Almost makes your stomach hurt while you’re eating it. The grilled oysters are tasty but each oyster is sitting in a pool of butter - tasty but briefly before your body shuts down. I chose to do the soup flight - this was the best part of the meal! I got the gumbo, collard greens gumbo (daily soup), and the creamy seafood. These were all delicious, the flavor was great. I really liked the collard green gumbo, light and flavorful - yet loaded with protein! I had the fish special for dinner and in full honesty, I could not eat this. It was so insanely greasy that it was hard to stomach. The risotto was also sitting in a pool of grease and butter. Not good. I know some people enjoy very sweet drinks or a buttery and flavorful meal - but this was 5x in the wrong direction. Never had food this greasy except at a bbq spot. I hope that the team takes the feedback and possibly has more dishes that aren’t as greasy. Over all - fine food, but know what you’re getting into. Staff is very kind. The atmosphere was weird cause it was a high end spot but there were TV’s to watch places all over the restaurant. It’s not that type of vibe.

Google
Had a very nice dinner here. This was my first time going as I’m on a trip for work. I didn’t have a reservation but was sat immediately and they had someone playing live piano, which was a really nice touch. The atmosphere is very cozy and is great solo or for a date. The food was delicious. My waiter informed me the dish I ordered was the most popular and I see why now. Desert was just as good. All of the staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend here.

Google
High-end dining, had a business dinner here with my colleague. Service was excellent and nice atmosphere, food quality was mixed. The grilled oysters were excellent but the shrimp in the seafood salad did not taste fresh and the gumbo was a bit too salty.

Google
What an incredible dining experience! The service was absolutely impeccable, especially our server, Michelle! She was the sweetest!! And the food! Wow! Some of the best crab cakes I've ever had! Will definitely have to come back again soon

Google
Wonderful meal and great service. We stopped in on a busy Friday without a reservation. They offered us a seat at the bar or a later reservation. We chose the bar and had an amazing meal which included Char Grilled oysters and tile fish. The food was incredible and Savanah, our bar tender did an outstanding job with recommendations and service. Food was reasonably priced. Great restaurant!

Google
From start to finish, our experience at Mansur’s was nothing short of exceptional. We started with the warm crawfish salad, which was perfectly balanced with fresh greens and bold Louisiana flavor—it was a standout dish. For the main course, the cedar plank redfish was expertly prepared, flaky and tender with a smoky finish that brought the whole plate together. Every bite was delicious. The ambiance was refined yet welcoming, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Mansur’s continues to deliver elevated Southern cuisine with consistency and charm. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable dining experience in Baton Rouge.

Google
Elegant atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and fresh, delicious, local food on the menu. Always a wonderful experience. Highly recommend the swordfish if it's on the special. Outstanding! Also a lovely piano player for enjoyment.

Yelp
My wife and I celebrated a birthday recently and it was a wonderful experience! The food was delicious as always and service was equally fantastic. I had halibut which was some of the best I've ever eaten. My wife had the redfish topped with crab and mushrooms which was also amazing. Also a nice finish was the complimentary bread pudding to acknowledge our birthday celebration. This restaurant is definitely one of the best in the city! Thanks for a memorable birthday!!

Yelp
What a fine dining experience my family and me had at this amazing restaurant while visiting Baton Rouge, this is one to be remembered. They went above and beyond to accommodate a party of 9. The service, food and ambience was 5 We were in town for the Nationals Bowling Championship so alcohol was involved with several of our party before we arrived for dinner. Although I did everything to keep the noise level at the table down as much as possible it wasn't easy lol. We had a lot of happy people and that makes for a lot of laughing and talking over each other. My point here is the server and her team was AMAZING she never complained about noise or lack of organization at the table They served everything just as ordered and did a fabulous job. My son paid so I don't have the receipt showing who our server and her team was but the owner needs to know that we were there May 18th from 5pm to 6:45pm at the long table just past check in on the right and They literally rocked!!!! Thank you all for making this a Baton Rouge memory we will be talking about for years to come!!!! PS: I completely forgot to take pics of the food with all the action and for that I apologize. I can tell you the following items were ordered and were all superb choices: AMAZING fresh bread rolls with butter Filets and lobsters Shrimp cocktails Oysters There were several other dishes and I cannot remember but everyone was beyond happy

Yelp
Everything was nothing short of amazing. The atmosphere was relaxing. The servers were ON POINT! I was asked so many times by different servers if I needed anything which was great. I lacked nothing. The food was so great. The DUCK was super delicious, juicy and tender. I will be back for evening meal one day but this was a very great experience.

Yelp
This is one of the few restaurants in the country I would rate as being 5 stars. We are serious foodies and have a difficult time finding decent restaurants in the US outside of NYC, Chicago, etc. This one deserves all the accolades it has received - the food is wonderful, the wine list is great, the sommelier is outstanding, and the service is impeccable. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Yelp
The restaurant is tastefully decorated with white tablecloths and a live pianist playing in the background. There must've been 5 birthdays being celebrated since we heard the song Happy Birthday 5 times in 2 hours so it was a happy atmosphere. The food was amazing and nicely presented. I deducted a star due to the service was slow but overall this place was worth the high price. Yes! I recommend this place!

Aiyanah S.

Yelp
My favorite spot for redfish! They have this great Cedar-plank redfish with a lemon butter caper sauce that is good on the fish and any of the sides you get with your meal! Also worth trying: chargrilled oysters topped with blue crabmeat.

Yelp
Awesome restaurant to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. The ambiance and piano music were beautifully pleasing! Waitress was very attentive to our needs and knew the menu very well. She made awesome suggestions. Food was plentiful and delicious. Very pleased and satisfied.

Yelp
I got the Cedar Plank Redfish. It was absolutely on point, as usual. I highly recommend!

Yelp
I hadn't been to Mansur's in quite a while, but back in the day it was one of my favorite places in town. So, when my mom invited me and some others to lunch, I jumped at the chance. The food, overall, was good. The complimentary bread was excellent, as were the chargrilled oysters, I had the duck, which I enjoyed. Boudin arancine was also well done. Crab & Brie soup alright, but not as food as I remembered. The only real "miss" was my wife's cedar plank redfish, which was so salty she couldn't eat it. The main reason for the poor less-than-stellar review, though, was the service/timing of dishes. We were there for lunch on. Saturday, and there were only 1 or 2 other tables there, but it took SO long between courses and I just couldn't understand it. PAINFULLY slow. Because if that it took several hours to finish the meal, much longer than it should have taken.

Yelp
Chargrilled Oysters and Ultimate Omelette did not disappoint! Incredible!! Sunday Brunch!

Yelp
I can't say enough! Today is the 1st heavenly birthday for my Daddy & we had to come to Mansurs on the Boulevard for some authentic Louisiana eats! We started with Tchapitoulas Shrimp (thanks to iPhone spell check lol) & Zydeo stuffed mushrooms, with fresh bread. Then added the chargrilled oysters! Let me tell you, the chef needs to put that seasoned butter in a jar and sell it! Count me in for a case of it quarterly! Everything was so perfect from service to the placing of the food on the table. When I tell you they made the best Side Car that I have had in years! it was perfect! Then the main course! Shrimp and Grits. Well everyone knows Louisiana is where you get Shrimp and Grits but wow! It didn't have a lot of sauce/rue on it the grits were creamy. This is a restaurant that we will be going to every single time we go to Baton Rouge LA! Thank you for a fantastic night! We will be celebrating my Dads heavenly birthday here at least every 2 years! See you soon!

Yelp
We came here to celebrate 2 birthdays and a college grad around Christmas! The ambiance inside was so cozy and the Christmas decor was beautiful. We loved the oysters so much! My mom ordered the red fish and it was probably the best red fish we have ever had! They sent out a cute bread pudding desert with a candle and sang happy birthday! Such a nice touch.

Yelp
We drove in from Houston for a concert. OpenTable had them totally booked for Friday night but when we called they worked us in to a reservation. The food was extraordinary and very reasonably priced. To top everything off my wife and I had Carley as our waitress and she defiinedly made our evening special. So very attentive and sweet. She also told us about different local places to visit for entertainment the next day.

Neil H.

Yelp
Had the gumbo. Rue okay. Tasted a little off but good. Skipped any eating. Bit too crowded for me. Food looks good but made this a short stop and snack.
google avatar

Kristina S.

Yelp
Loved the ambiance in here. Our server was very sweet, knowledgeable and had any questions answered. Started off with the crab cakes and chargrilled oysters that were amazing! I ordered a peacock martini that tasted great and looked so pretty. Ended off with their cedar plank redfish with risotto and I loved it! Would definitely come back here again.

Yelp
The food always amazing and so is the service. I especially enjoyed the Sunday brunch. I can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Myra C.

Yelp
Ambiance is always amazing here as well as the service! We dined at the bar! I have to say I ordered the shrimp and duck egg rolls again which I have had so many times before and I couldn't believe how much better they were this time. They totally changed them and they were so delicious and flavorful.! Outstanding!
google avatar

Yelp
We took my mother-in-law out to dinner. We were given a private room. The service was excellent. The food was superb! I wish we lived in Baton Rouge because we would be regular patrons.
google avatar

Yelp
On my first night in Baton Rouge, I was so happy to find this joint. It's got an old steakhouse decor, which I love, and I left very full and happy. I sat at the bar and enjoyed a strawberry old fashioned (who would think!?!). The Brie and crabmeat soup was so rich and amazing. I also ordered a filet that was flavored beautifully and cooked to perfection. The bartender (Jenny...maybe..?) was AMAZING. She is so knowledgeable about the menu and gave great suggestions. What a gem!!

Yelp
Wednesday afternoon in the Red Stick and I attended Mansurs for a business luncheon. I've eaten here several times and the food is always excellent - some of the most traditional Cajun cuisine in BTR There for business I didn't take many pictures but had the best piece of Redfish piccatta I've ever had Mansurs - best fine dining in BTR

Josie S.

Yelp
Everything about this place is perfection! The service is incredible and the food is absolutely amazing. I leave thinking about when is the next time we can go back. We got the chargrilled oysters and they are the best I've ever had. I got the French Quarter Crepes and they were perfect! So flavorful and the fresh seafood is *chef's kiss* My husband got the fish special and it was incredible. This is a great place to go for a special occasion!
google avatar

Yelp
We were celebrating our 25th anniversary, and everything exceeded our expectations! The house made tartar sauce had fresh dill in it and went perfectly with the catfish that was perfectly seasoned and fried. The crab and brie soup was creamy and delicious. My husband's steak was cooked just right and very tender. The cedar-grilled redfish delightful. The Louisiana Lust was scrumptious as was the Butterfinger crème brûlée! Exceptional service and the ambience was romantic with dim lighting and live soft music.

PitmasterBR C.

Yelp
Next time you go ask if you could take a peak inside the kitchen, you'll see staff touching their phones and food at the same time. You'll see no hairnets on heads, you'll see staff touching food bare hands after just leaving the bathroom and smoking cigs out back. You'll see how filthy the kitchen is with roaches and mildew. Do not let those pretty Lilly White faces in the front fool you. It's Thug Life Culture in the back of house.

Gay M.

Yelp
I stopped here for brunch and had the eggplant soup with chicken. It was tasty although not one I would order a second time. The entree was stuffed shrimp I was disappointed the stuffing was smushy. My daughter had the gumbo and said it was middle of the road - same for the crème brûlée The staff was nice.
google avatar

Yelp
Started with the thin crispy fried catfish chips. These were good but if you like your catfish cleaned completely (all of the gray stuff removed) I wouldn't recommend them. We had a few pieces with that gray strip left in and those pieces tasted extremely fishy. For entrees, we ordered the cedar-roasted redfish and the chicken pasta alfredeaux. Wow! These two dishes were so good! My fish was fresh and I really enjoyed the creole lemon caper butter that came on top of it. This dish typically comes with parmesan risotto but I was able to switch that out for the stone ground grits which were very good. My husband's pasta alfredeaux was the best alfredo I've ever tasted. The menu said it was pasta tossed with a creole romano cream. The chicken that he added to this dish was also great. I will definitely order this dish the next time I dine here. And finally for dessert we ordered the Louisiana lust. This dessert was so good! It was a chocolate chip and pecan cookie cake served warm with a chocolate glaze. We also chose a scoop of vanilla ice cream to go with it. Overall, this place is really nice. I really enjoyed the lady that played the piano while we dined here. Service was great and our waitress was nice.

Yelp
Great food and an awesome atmosphere!! The service is superb!! My husband proposed to me at this restaurant 6 years ago and it was perfect!

Yelp
Our tennis team was in town for a state tennis tournament. Our party of 8 arrived on a Thursday evening, and we were in for a treat! Our waitress, Savanah, was absolutely wonderful. She was patient and took her time with each one of us. Our food was delicious, and everyone was raving over their different entrees. I wanted to go a little lighter, so I ordered the BLT Lettuce Wedge and the Crab cakes (appetizer). The salad and the crab cakes, with corn salsa, were sooo good! We ordered Butterfinger Crème Brûlée, and we didn't realize what we had been missing! I can't wait for our next trip to BR. This place will definitely be part of our plans. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
google avatar

Kim C.

Yelp
Server, Mike excellent. Attentive. Char broiled Oysters quite tasty. Sauce soaked by by exceptional fresh bread. Strawberry Spinach Salad good and fresh; but a bit too much dressing. Hamburger Steak - burnt on backside, but huge ... garlic mashed potatoes excellent. The best meal was the fish of the day - Mahi with Shrimp, Bacon over roasted veggies with an incredible glaze. Ambiance was great - casual to fine dining. The pianist was absolutely brilliant.

Zach H.

Yelp
Amanda single handedly made our night, we almost divorced but with her help, we worked it out and are still happily married. Absolute perfection!
google avatar

Gigi L.

Yelp
Amazing and delicious food. Cozy bar area. Haven't been at night just lunch but the atmosphere is delightful and customer service was on point. Don't pass this place up
google avatar

Yelp
It one of Baton Rouge's more established restaurants. Consistent in service food and ambience. Came for a birthday dinner of 12. They do a superb job of it.
google avatar

Sharmori L.

Yelp
This is my first time coming to Mansurs on the Boulevard with my co-workers and it was absolutely delicious! The ambiance was amazing, very classy and relaxing. Our servers were very attentive to detail and excellent with remembering the orders for our group. For the food selection, I ordered the Creole Chicken Piscatta. It comes with creamy mashed potatoes and topped with mushrooms and small peas. It was delicious! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others who are looking for a fancy restaurant for a special occasion (e.g., birthday, anniversary, retirement party, work gathering, etc).
google avatar

Marianne B.

Yelp
The food was ok. Since the new chef took over it seems to lack flavor and steaks had to be sent back twice by the time they returned the table the 3rd time it was pointless. The staff seemed overwhelmed. They were trying to be attentive but seemed to be more chaotic. I was a member of a party who said the service was usually much better and apologized for the steaks which is something the restaurant never took accountability for. Management seemed to lack direction or purpose.

Doug F.

Yelp
Great place for the wedding crew to have their rehearsal dinner the day before the wedding. Nice atmosphere also.
google avatar

Tanya C.

Yelp
absolutely delicious! we stopped by for appetizers before a scheduled show but will definitely return for the full dinner experience. grant was our server and was spot on with every detail! the dining room is beautiful and the piano makes for the perfect dinner experience. do not miss this opportunity for a great meal!
google avatar

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in Baton Rouge. A fine dining experience with good service. Great apps and entree options. The cedar plank roasted red fish with grits cooked in beer... phenomenal. I crave that meal often, it's hard to beat! The restaurant is nice; it's a great place for a special occasion.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely recommend this establishment if you're looking for great seafood in Baton Rouge, LA. The cocktails were great. The oysters were pretty good too. Not a fan of baked, prefer raw but I tried both. The sea bass was obscene. It was so good i almost ordered another one. The risotto bed it comes on is excellent and the veggies were prepared thoughtfully. The Louisiana Lust was one of the best desserts I've tried in my life. No lie. I was a fan of the service. I had a great time with friends there, which is the whole point of anything.

Yelp
It was our family's first time visiting Baton Rogue during Christmas Eve. We very delighted that we were able to get seated at Mansurs for lunch. The ambiance in here is really cozy and spacious. A great place to have a classy dinner with family or for romantic dates. The vibe is relaxing as the lighting inside is quite dim. For food we ordered: - Charboiled oysters: Mansurs offers very delicious silky oysters that are full of flavors. Very garlicy, salty and cheesy but it is not too much. Really good and highly recommended! - Duck Mansurs: This roasted duck is huge and very filling. So crispy on the inside however the inside is rather dry and a little bit though. It was slightly too much for us. However, nicely paired with sauteed vegetables and the sauce. - Fresh visiting fish of the day was Salmon. Pretty good and quite flavorful. The sauteed vegetables really bring up the dish well. - Steak & Lobster: Steak was well done, however, missing the tenderness and the flavors. Overall the steak was quite a miss for us. The lobster is great and very juicy and meaty. Really good. Mansurs is also well-known for its wine. It has great wine list for you to explore. They got an award of excellence for their wine since more than a decade ago. So, coming here just for a drink can be another option. Overall, Mansurs really offers great food options during lunch and we were so glad to have celebrated the xmas eve here. Very cozy ambience and great food. I wouldnt say that this place has very good food but they are decent!
google avatar

Nancy P.

Yelp
I was there for a birthday celebration, the waiter never acknowledged it, the waiter hardly said anything to us, no personlaity. The wine was bad, the food cold, had to send entree' back because of absolutely no taste. The dessert was even bad, couldn't eat it. we even had to ask for the birthday dessert, it wasn't offered. An all around horrible experience, and a huge waste of money. Definitely do not recommend!

Mike D.

Yelp
The reputation is real. Love the dark atmosphere in the bar!! Not sure what the main dining room looks like, and don't really care! Will always choose the bar. Appetizers were all amazing. The soup trio (All that Jazz) was so good. Steaks were better than expected. Service was top notch. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Col Charles A.

Yelp
Perhaps the premier dining experience in Louisiana. Food, drink, service set the standards by which all others are judged.

Krystal B.

Yelp
The food was excellent. Came for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. I had the Covington crab cake and it was fantastic! My husband had the duck salad and although he said the blue cheese was a bit overwhelming in some bites, the salad was amazing! I would highly recommend this establishment whether lunch or dinner.
google avatar

Will M.

Yelp
Always a great / elegant dining experience and the food is always great. Was a little disappointed with the service and the feeling a being pushed out the door but we were eating late.
google avatar

Shawn V.

Yelp
Food and service was great! Definitely got some chargrilled oysters (amazing) and then they are famous for their wood planked red fish which they pair over cheesy risotto and this dish is worth writing home about. I was not a big fan of their bread pudding sadly. Lastly, this place is nice inside but their chairs are wicker patio furniture and the tables are like card tables with table cloths on top. As my co worker said its like putting lipstick on a pig! The chairs were not super comfy but that can be overlooked along with the bread pudding as those are just personal preference type deals. Would def go back for the main courses!!
google avatar

Mohammad Javad S.

Yelp
It was very good. My wife ordered crab pasta Alfredo and I ordered chicken pasta Alfredo It was good

Olivia H.

Yelp
The food is really good at this restaurant oysters were even better. One thing that you must order is the duck off top. It's super crispy and it's just amazing.
google avatar

Timothy M.

Yelp
Very traditional BR establishment. Service and food are always good, and consistent. The wine list is pretty good. We prefer sitting in the bar area, as the tables are a little too close together in the dining room. It's not on our regular BR rotation; but we are transplants here. YMMV.
google avatar

Erin M.

Yelp
Ok not sure how I have never stopped by here before but kicking myself for being so late to the game. The food is really good and this is a perfect spot for a date night or special occasion. I had the redfish with added crab meat and I could have licked the plate. This plate was cooked to perfection. The shrimp and grits were good as well. Don't forget to check in and get your oysters. Hubs really enjoyed those and said they were some of the best he has had. The fish appetizer is also good. Hubs is not a big fish person and he loved that plate as well. Oh was crispy and hot. Yum yum. I got the booze cruise, a think a couple of the juices should be paired with other kind of juices in this drink but I don't call the shots. The waiter was nice and prompt. I am for sure adding this place to my list.

Yelp
Amazing food!! Can't wait to go back!! Service was phenomenal, ask for Adrian!!! yummy
