Manta - Review - Wynwood - Miami - The Infatuation

"The food at Manta isn’t bad, but just know that two bowls of ceviche (and a side of tostones) will cost about $100. Definitely avoid the cebiche a la brasa, which is an incomprehensible $42. The chunks of grilled octopus are overcooked and there aren’t enough tentacles in here to justify the price. We prefer their cebiche manta. It swims in a cilantro leche de tigre and is topped with fried calamari. For $28, it’s less egregious than the other ceviche, and does the trick for a slightly overpriced Wynwood lunch break." - Mariana Trabanino

Excellent service. I came here and sat at the bar, where the customer service and attention from the staff was super (rarely do I see this level of service in Miami). I ordered the ceviche tacos, the lomo saltado, and a ceviche sampler, all amazing. Got tres leches for dessert, which was just ok, could’ve skipped it. Overall, fantastic place, highly recommend and will return.

Get the Tiradito Toho!!! The fish is so fresh, cut in thin slices and the sauce is absolutely amazing, the perfect combination of savory, freshness and texture! I also loved the anticuchero octopus with pesto gnocchi! The octopus was so tender and delicious, and the Peruvian pesto was flavorful and perfectly coated the gnocchi. The chicha sour was so yummy and refreshing! The service was superb as well, Raul was always checking on us! I definitely recommend Manta, must-go for sure!

Manta in Wynwood delivers bold flavors with impressive creativity. The tuna tataki with sweet potato is the clear standout, beautifully balanced and unforgettable. The scallops with parmesan are rich and elegant. The octopus with gnocchi has excellent flavor and becomes wonderfully tender toward the center though the edges are a bit firm. The meal is on the pricey side but the quality makes it feel justified. My girlfriend and I loved every dish.

One of my favorite dining moments in recent months! This restaurant perfectly captures a night out in Miami with it's electrifying flavors, fresh and creative ingredients and beautiful dining environment. Our service was immaculate. This was my first time trying the Japanese style of Peruvian cuisine so I was curious. Everything exceeded my expectations and I can't recommend it highly enough!

Incredible Peruvian food... Every dish was so fresh and flavorful. Plus every menu should provide photos like this so you know what you're getting! Our waiter, Jose, was absolutely amazing and made the experience perfect. Highly recommend the mixto ceviche and lomo saltado!

While in Miami, we went to Wynwood and planned our first visit to a Peruvian restaurant. The choice was the best we could have dreamed of. We had one of the most unforgettable culinary experiences of our travels. The dishes were beautifully presented and tasted delicious – true culinary poetry. Our taste buds were delighted with these sensations 😛 of unprecedented flavors. A place worth recommending to those who appreciate the culinary artistry of the people preparing the dishes at Manta restaurant… wooow… thanks to what we experienced here, we decided to visit Peru ❤️

I ate at this restaurant when I was in Wynnwood. They have a huge menu and great photographs of the food, which makes it easier to select items. I had the Tortilla las Manta (mahi-mahi tacos) appetizer and the Chaufa Fonca Peruvian fried rice. The tacos were very good. The fried rice was oily and average tasting for $26. I would get something different in the future. Total bill was $73.75, which included one glass of wine. Be aware they automatically charge a 20% service charge, even if you sit at the bar. Good customer service.
