"Indian Garden is a venerable chain of restaurants with a location in Downtown Chicago before that was housed on Devon Avenue, the traditional center of South Asian-owned businesses in the city. This suburban location, Mantra, opened with the intention of refreshing the brand and attracting younger customers. Find the traditional Punjabi favorites, plus a few wrinkles on classics. Order online." - Ashok Selvam, Naomi Waxman

The food at Mantra wasn't as flavorful as it looked; most of the dishes we ordered were bland and overpriced. The one highlight was the lamb rogan josh, which deserves a good compliment for its taste. Everything else fell short in terms of flavor. The customer service was just okay, nothing exceptional. Food presentation was nice, hot, and freshly made. The restaurant has a lovely ambience, making it a pleasant place to dine. It was very difficult to find parking nearby and we ended up having to walk a few blocks to the parking garage. While there were some positives, the overall experience was just average.

I recently visited Mantra by Indian Garden in schiller Park, Illinois, after seeing some good reviews online. It was a 45-minute drive for us, and as we approached the area, we noticed that the surroundings looked a bit shady. However, the location of the restaurant itself is just okay. Parking seemed to be an issue, and it took us a while to find a spot. We had made a reservation, but upon arrival, my name was not on the list. Fortunately, the manager was accommodating and allowed us to have a seat. The place is very beautiful, with an ambiance that is quite unique for an Indian restaurant. It features a lot of plants and an outdoor view, and the front of the restaurant is also beautifully done. Their menu is extensive. We started with the Chillers Fresh Lime Soda and Masala Soda. The Masala Soda was very nice compared to the Lime Soda. For appetizers, we had the Paneer Ke Shooley (Indian cheese sautéed with onion & bell pepper) and Adraki Chaamp (smokey & juicy ginger-flavored lamb chops grilled in a clay oven). The lamb chops were delicious and tender, while the paneer had a bit of a sweet indo-Asian fusion taste, which my wife liked. For the main course, we ordered the Lahori Kadai Paneer (cottage cheese cooked in Kadai masala with sautéed onion & bell pepper) and my wife had the Dil Khush Kofta (potato dumplings stuffed with cheese in curry sauce). We also tried their Laccha Paratha and Garlic Mozzarella Naan. They serve rice for the table, which was good. In terms of quantity, it was worth the money. The naan was exceptional, and the paratha was also very nice. The paneer curry was just average, but the kofta was good. We were too full to try the sweets, but we plan to do so on our next visit. I would like to give a shout-out to the staff member who took care of us—he was very polite and communicated really well. Overall, despite the minor issues with parking and the reservation, our experience at Mantra by Indian Garden was enjoyable. The beautiful decor, diverse menu, and tasty dishes make it a place worth visiting.

Upon arriving we immediately noticed how clean and well put together this restaurant was. The decor and over all atmosphere was fantastic, beautifully styled. There were many employees all working together to set the tone of the restaurant by adjusting table linens and lighting. The food was absolutely the best we’ve had anywhere else In the country. Both of our waiters were dedicated and friendly, providing multiple recommendations. I highly recommend the Gin drink with egg white & turmeric. It was like nothing I’ve ever had - absolutely devine! This is a five star restaurant!!

Beautiful, cozy and romantic. Food is great although ask for peanut free food options if you are allergic. Some dishes are very spicy but they notify you about it before you order if you still are willing to try. Drinks are really good and cold teas for kids too. Interior design is very nice, we felt as we were actually in India. Stuff and service very nice and polite. We had an amazing experience. Price wise is also not bad at all.

From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a smile which warmed my heart immediately! Taken to our seats and offered water and drinks menu by Sai. Then the food was Absolutely amazing. It was our first time trying Indian food, I was impressed by the hospitality and the food. Delicious and I was over the moon with the spicy chicken I had Deserts that followed were equally as good. 10/10 def going back!

Great ambience and tasty food. Service is very good and servers are very kind. We could get in without reservations but the place is popular so I would recommend coming in with reservations. Plenty of vegetarian options. Masala Chaas was spot-on!

Google
What a cozy and comforting experience! It is such a great place! Food is delicious and service is attentive! Every item we ordered was a hit! Paneer sholley and paneer methi Tikki were outstanding! Koftas really were the showstopper at dinner! Mini papad and chutney were delicious!

Google
The ambience was great. Me and my friends enjoyed our Sunday afternoon lunch at Mantra. Our server was very polite in providing recommendations. We ordered lassi, Sweet lime soda, Masala soda and they were refreshing. For appetizers we had Dahi balla, Chicken lollipop, chicken 65, masala papad. The appetizers were great 5/5. For entrees we ordered lamb peshawari and Murgh Makhani. Usually most restaurants cannot go wrong with “Chicken butter masala” but unfortunately the chicken was overcooked and rubbery which was a disappointment. 😑 The desserts were amazing

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant for a special occasion, family dinner, or date! Both the exterior and interior of the restaurant are decorated so well and make for a wonderful atmosphere! We ordered the assorted pakora which were delicious and definitely some of the best I've had with so much variety. We also ordered the methi paneer which was decent. The mango lassi was okay. For the entree we got Palak paneer, kofta, navrant korma, and daal. The Palak paneer and yellow daal are definitely worth getting!! The navrant korma was too thick of a gravy and a very sweet sauce, probably would not get that again. If you can't decide what bread to get, you should get the bread basket! All the breads very soft and we loved the garlic naan.

Yelp
Mantra by Indian Garden has got to be the most aesthetic Indian restaurant I have EVER been to! The greenery indoors made me feel like we were in India again Would recommend for the aesthetics, relatively quick service, menu variety (GF/V/fish/meat/dessert), food taste and quality, and best mango lassi ever (gives Devon a good run). Would recommend ordering more dishes for larger groups as portion sizes are a bit smaller. Definitely check it out! I would totally go again with the fam! We ordered: : Veg pakora, mango habanero chicken lollipop, karavali prawns : Full tandoori chicken, paneer makhani, murgh tikka butter masala, kadhai gosht, fish tikka masala : Masala tea, mango lassi : rasmalai, kheer, pista kulfi : Assorted bread basket (butter naan, roti, onion kulcha, garlic naan), Garlic mozzarella naan

Yelp
We were in the suburbs so we decided to come get Indian food to go and saw that Mantra was on the way back into the city. There's plenty of parking up front and the restaurant is very easy to find. After ordering our food, there was a couch up front we sat on until our food came. Service was super quick after we ordered and we got our food within 10-15 minutes. The inside has a very casual vibe and is very nicely decorated. Now on to the good stuff, the food. We ordered the chicken tikka, aloo gobi, dal Tadka. One of the major things I didn't like about this place is that rice was an additional $5-6. It didn't come with our order which I thought was crazy. We also ordered naan and it literally only came with one naan. We asked for medium spice level, which if you're used to a higher level of spice, I do not recommend because our food came out tasting bland. Our order came out to be $90!!! NINETY! For food we didn't even enjoy. Definitely will not be coming back but hopefully others have a better experience

Yelp
Mantra by Indian Garden was very good place. I visited first time. It was our friends birthday we were 12 people. It was super fun. Good foid, good quantity. The server even sang a bollywood song for birthday person. The did cut cake and distributed. Very good place for parties. Great ambience and spacious

Lily A.

Yelp
Mantra has a very nice and welcoming interior and vibe. The service was also good, especially considering the restaurant was packed at the time. This was my first time having Indian food and Mantra certainly did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was very good and I would definitely come back again.

Yelp
I visited Chicago with my parents and decided to stop by before my flight. The restaurant is aethetically beautiful however the food is expensive and below average. I ordered tandoori chicken, shahi paneer which was specialty, and chai. The chicken was cold and precooked and felt just came out of microwave. The paneer had no salt. The chai was pretty bad. The feel was really good and I felt amazing but the food was below expectations. Service was slow.

Yelp
Went here after a tiring day in downtown, when we were looking for an Indian place at about 20 mins outside of downtown where there would be a convenient parking spot. And this Ambiance was out of the world!! I would go here just to relax and enjoy the relaxed environment. Service was very good and the food was awesome. We had Lahori Kadai Paneer, Bhuna Chicken, Kali Mirch Murg Tikka and Dal Tadka.

Sunny M.

Yelp
I have been coming to this restaurant for a couple years now. I have recently been informed that they do not let their waiters and bussers keep their tips. As a paying consumer if I want to leave a tip to the customer service people I would assume that they get to keep their tips. This seems like bad and unlawful practice by the restaurant to do so. Thank you for the food but from now on I will not be eating from this restaurant again.

Diana A.

Yelp
Excellent customer service! Atmosphere is so peaceful. The staff was very helpful to offer drink and appetizer recommendations.Food was delicious! Very authentic flavors. Highly recommend.

Lulu C.

Yelp
Oh my god! The food is delicious!. Truly Culinary Nirvana, I mean its a simple dish some may say, Chana Masala; but I can tell you I've had it at other places where it's overly salty or spicy. This dish is just right, balanced with the basmati rice, also not over cooked or salty. I got the cheesy garlic naan and it was the perfect pairing. Somehow my food was still hot when I got it delivered. I swear it took me longer to place the order on DoorDash. I really need to make it a point to go and dine in at their restaurant.

Yelp
I love Mantra. I found this beautiful gem a few months back (July) with my family before I went to fly out of Ohare for a work trip. We had great service and the food was absolutely INCREDIBLE. I was away for a week so when I came back my family picked up takeaway for me to eat once we got home because I was that impressed and was flying in very late. Again, incredible food and my partner said the service was great!! 5/5 Fast forward to a week ago, same situation with me flying back to Ohare and wanting to eat Mantra because they are THAT good. I was a little less impressed with the service. They were busy, but not PACKED busy for a Friday night. I felt that we kept getting looked over and passed up compared to the other tables around us. My family and I sat there for 2 and a half hours if not more. And I'm sure a good hour of they time was spent waiting for our drink order to be taken, food order to be taken, and for our bill to come so we could pay. The food again was fantastic; but I felt like we just weren't given the same service everyone else around us were given. Hoping the next time I'm in it will be different as I truly do love this place and would hate to stop coming due to service.

Yelp
While in Chicago we wanted Indian food. All day when I was looking I didn't find anything that stood out then later in the evening I came across this on Yelp. This restaurant is kinda in a old downtown area. As you pull up it's a nice looking restaurant. We walked in, no reservation but were seated quickly. The restaurant is beautiful. We ordered the Dahi balla, not quite what we expected but was good. I would have preferred the fritter to be hot and some kind of crunchy something to the top. For our main entrees we had the baigan with curry, and the shaeer paneer. Both were good but very similar in flavor. We wanted the baigan bharta but he said they ran out. The eggplant was lacking salt. The food came out in a decent amount of time. The waiter was good explaining things as well. I would be back to try some meat dishes.

Padma A.

Yelp
Great service by Ben and his team ... got us masala chai and mango lassi as soon as we were seated . I wasn't too happy with the chai so they refilled the pot with freshly made tea. The food was spot on , cannot go wrong with chicken biryani, lamb peshawari and naan. I will be back next year!

Nektaria R.

Yelp
Excellent service! Great food. Beautiful interior decor. A bit on the pricey side but worth it. Came here with work crew. Everyone enjoyed their choices. Next time I'm ordering naan. Looked delicious.

Lisa K.

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance but food was ok. We got the pindi chole, aloo khali mirch. We didn't like them. Chole had too much salt and aloo was bland. The paneer shole appetizer was good. The onion kulcha and aloo paratha was good . Shahi panner was good. Didn't like Missi roti. The restaurant was too expensive. We won't be back. They didn't even ask us if we liked the food.

Marie B. J.

Yelp
I was in town for the weekend and decided on Indian food close to my hotel for take-out. I ordered the chicken tikka masala, Dal soup, regular naan and a mango lassi. The chicken tikka was tasty although I found the color of it to be lacking the rich red color I'm used too. But, it tasted good. I didn't like that I had to order basmati rice as the main entree didn't include it so be mindful when ordering your dish. Also, I'm used to receiving two naan breads in a n order...I just received one (disappointing especially for the price of my total order)! The dal was written up to be creamy and it was watery and tasteless (was of a container). The mango lassi was good. I'd say this place is decent but certainly not the best Indian food.

Cherry O.

Yelp
This rating is based on a take out order and was delivered via Uber Eats. The food is delicious here and I imagine it would be even better fresh right out of the kitchen dining at the restaurant. But even for take out I was very impressed. They got the order right except they didn't give me onions which I requested but it's ok. They also forgot to give us mango juice which we ordered. Knocking a star for missing a part of our order. We ordered: Buttered Naan as well as garlic. I prefer the garlic much better over the regular buttered naan. The basmati rice was cooked perfectly and each grain was separate and plump. We ordered Murgh Makhani (butter chicken), Murg Tikka Butter Masala (chicken tikka butter masala), Daal Bhukara Makhani (lentils), Lucknowi Chicken Biryani. We also ordered the samosa which were delicious. My favorites were the Murgh Makhani (butter chicken) and the Chicken Biryani. These dishes were well seasoned not bland. We asked for mild and even that it has a kick but was tolerable especially with the yogurt sauce. My husband loves the yogurt sauce. He's not a big fan of Indian cuisine but he loves this place and wants to order again. My only complaint is that the chicken pieces in the curries were huge. Would have preferred more bite size pieces. With delivery our total came out to $115 so it's very pricey for the amount of food we got.

Yelp
This place is always a hit or miss. Sometimes with their service and food is so good and next time i get disappointed with it. This time both of the things- service and food disappointed me. I went there to celebrate my 40th Birthday. It was Tuesday - so not crazy busy but still they could not take care of their customers. Whatever we were asking about the dishes before ordering totally came opposite. We asked if the paneer tikka will be on sizzler hot plate, then server said yes. And when i cane in a regular plate and we asked, the manager said we don't serve anything on hot plate. Not to mention the paneer tikka were very below level of taste. We were 4 of us and when we entered, we asked for the end sofa seats and manager as there were 2 empty and manager said those are reserved and we seat guests there only a party of 6 and seated us at the entrance of main hall and outdoor seating. After sometime we saw that one of that seating was occupied by 4 guests and the 2nd empty sofa seating was never occupied till the time we were there. So not sure what causes all this. This place is always run by one man - not sure if he is manager or what but he is wearing same uniform like other servers. This time there was another guy in white shirt taking rounds. We complaint about all we encountered and he said i was not aware of this and will make sure next time it does not happen. So, i am skeptical now if i should be going there or not.

Pooja P.

Yelp
My friend and I went to go try out Mantra for dinner recently, and it was delicious. We started with spring rolls and dahi Puri - our favorite was dahi Puri. For our entree, we got garlic naan, paneer makhani and vegetable biryani. The paneer makhani was sweeter, but the garlic naan and biryani were flavorful and fresh! The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and reminds you of a small town in India! Service was phenomenal, and I'll definitely be back!

Rishi J.

Yelp
We went there on Sunday evening. The parking lot of the restaurant is small so had drop my parents in front of the restaurant and park the car on street across the restaurant. We ordered appetizer paneer ke sholay, it was similar to paneer chilly dry - indo chinese dish, but it a but sweet for my taste. Then in main course we ordered Navratan Korma , daal makhani, garlic naan and laccha paratha. We ordered masala chai for dessert. It was overall a very good food and good service. But i felt the wait staff of restaurant were trying get something off our table which were done with constantly which can be off-putting for someone. We definitely plan to visit again

Sankalp B.

Yelp
Mantra is a upscale Indian restaurant in Chicago. I was really impressed with the overall appeal of the place, entrance is very colorful and very well maintained and the overall decoration and feel of restaurant is upscale. We ordered kurkuri bhindi and Lassi in starters and for main course kadahi paneer and goat Peshawari with garlic Naan, the food was delicious and kudos to chef and his team I really enjoyed the flavors. Definetely recommend this place.

Jen S.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to come to Mantra for the first time since we love Indian food and our kids were at practice nearby. Mantra is more than a restaurant with delicious cuisine, attentive wait staff, and a romantic ambiance. It is an oasis. From its large vases adorned with floating flower petals, to its soothing classical music, you forget you are at a restaurant and not at a spa. The decor is both elegant and romantic, with carved statues of elephants, strands of lights hung in windows and crystal chandeliers overhead. We were seated immediately in jewel toned chairs and a tiny gold lamp on our table was turned on. We were served papadum (lentil crackers) with two dipping sauces- one green, one red. The staff was so attentive, I felt like royalty. We decided to venture from our usual Indian dishes and try something new. We ordered mixed vegetable pakora (lightly battered and fried vegetables), chana masala (chickpeas), dil kush kofta (fried potatoes with cheese) and bhatoora (fried bread). Every morsel was delicious! I especially enjoyed the dil kush kofta with the bhatoora. Even when we put our food away, we used some of the bhatoora to soak up the sauce since it was so precious. I also ordered a mango lassi which was the best mango lassi I've ever had which was served in a cute little bottle. Mantra had far exceeded our expectations for an impromptu date night- from the service, to the decor, to the cuisine. We will be sure to return again.

Maitri S.

Yelp
My mom actually brought us here for a family meal and this restaurant exceeeded my expectations! As soon as you walk in, you notice the beautiful decorations on their exterior- which continue to the interior. The vibes of the place truly make you feel like you're royalty in India. There's beautiful artwork on the walls and the lights add to the ambiance. You start off with complimentary papas and chutney and for someone who doesn't love papad, I couldn't stop eating. The mixed pakora were delicious, freshly fried, and came in a huge portion. The kofta was great (very creamy). The saag was a little too bland for us (lacking spices). The garlic naan and onion kulcha were good accompaniments to the dishes but I wish there was more flavor to them! Overall, we were satisfied and can't wait to go back for apps and the other entrees. The place was packed so try to make a reservation in advance!

Hector M.

Yelp
One of the best Indian restaurants I've been to in a while. The samosas are delicious, potato filling is spiced perfectly. Also had a shrimp appetizer, perfect. For entree the Chicken Tikka Masala, and Lamb Vindalu. Garlic naan and regular naan. All entrees were about $21 each but the quality and flavor are there. Mantra gets five stars from me. Also, service was great. Ambiance is really nice, it's a lovely restaurant.

Moquita Q.

Yelp
The manager along with all the staff was very accommodating. You don't have to have a reservation although a lot of places in Chicago, you do. The inside of this establishment was full of art. Everything is cooked fresh! Chopped and cooked. I could tell. You will have to wait about like 20 minutes but it's well worth the wait. They give you a complimentary like cracker with their dipping sauces. I ordered their garlic naan, and a vegetable curry!! It also comes with a side of basmati rice. It's enough to feed 2 people so keep that in mind when your ordering!! Curry was on the sweet side and it allow a slow heat.

Sunny P.

Yelp
This place was so packed! Right when you walk in, you see the bar and a lot of tables. The environment was very cozy and decorated with a lot of cultural pieces. We came here for dinner and ordered a few drinks, appetizers, and dishes to share family style. I highly recommend the Indian lemonade and mango lassi! It's sweet but satisfies your sweet cravings. Our service was great too! 10/10! They checked up on us very often and cleaned the table and refilled our water every time! I enjoyed every dish and every bite was full of flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Michael P.

Yelp
Gorgeous atmosphere...even better food! These guys have the best vegetable Korma that I have ever tasted! This alone will keep me coming back for more. Butter chicken and the Saag was amazing as well!

Jen J.

Yelp
For my 600th review, I wanted to pick somewhere special :) My husband took me here for my birthday a few years ago because his first choice of Bombay Chopsticks had been strangely closed. It turned out to be a memorably delicious dinner with nice ambiance. After the meal, we went to pickup my brother from the airport, and he liked the leftover naan and rogan josh so much that we later took him there to eat in-person. Since then, we've eaten at Mantra several times with my brother, and they've all been delicious dining experiences. At the beginning of the meal, Mantra offers complimentary papadum with three chutneys (tamarind is my favorite. Sometimes they don't have papadum though). We try to order something new each time from their fun menu, but we always order their fresh and fluffy naans. Other repeat items are their rogan josh, fish curry, and samosas. They also have vegan dishes. Their desserts are delicious as well. Food can take awhile to arrive during busy times so we try to plan accordingly. While Mantra isn't the closest Indian restaurant, it's one of my family's favorites. We hope to try everything on their menu someday. Highly recommend for a delightful, satisfying, and flavorful meal.

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
For starters, can we give an applause for take out presentation? The bag is not pictured (mainly because we feasted immediately) but, I really enjoyed the thought, time, and money put into the carry-out bag- from the rope handle to the artistic logo was well-made. I ordered I believe the Chicken Vindaloo which had a tolerable medium spicy level, the chicken was perfectly cooked (moist and seasoned). I found it to have an intensely spicy, but nothing short of bright, acidic, and vinegar-tinged notes. Im usually a yellow curry or tikka masala girl, which was in direct contrast to what I'm used to and I loved it! I paired this with a butter naan which was light, fluffy, but still had a delicate crisp to its leavened nature. I will definitely recommend this place to my family.

Rakell M.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to go for delicious Indian food. They have never disappointed me. Flavors are spot on and all the staff is attentive from the moment you walk in. It has stunning appeal outside and is just as beautiful inside with vibrant decor. If you haven't tried Indian food, do yourself a favor and try this place!

Tamia P.

Yelp
I love their food Always get as a carry out but recently dined inside. The inside is beautiful Only reason it's not 5 stars is because they seem unable to truly adjust the spice level. I love spice but damn, sometimes it's just not enjoyable, even when low spice level is requested

Neelam B.

Yelp
Elegant and welcoming What a beautiful decoration of reception Very yummy appetisers and soup Vegetables snack were super . I ordered Gulab Jamun and kheer in dessert but didn't like kheer. Best place to celebrate with your family Nice view outside mains Service was little slow. I had excellent experience and highly suggest this restaurant

Jasmine S.

Yelp
Great food, great service by Keethrana The butter chicken is tasty and you can have it mild; the masala tea is house made -- incredible. Would definitely recommend!

Sridhara D.

Yelp
Good meal! Good decor although the place is in a nondescript location. Decent service as well.

Steve R.

Yelp
Absolutely WONDERFUL! The food was SO delicious; the staff was very attentive. I don't live nearby, but I will go out of my way to return to this fine restaurant.

Chase P.

Yelp
Ignore the negative reviews. This place is amazing. My girlfriend and I went to dinner here and had such a great experience. The staff was super kind and attentive without being overkill. Karthik was really good and gave wicked recommendations. The food was insanely good. I have to rec the Mozz and garlic nann - that and the maderloren paneer was incredible. It's a perfect spot for a dinner or a date night and the neighborhood is lucky to have a spot like this. Negative reviews obviously are having bad days as their reviews are the opposite of what we experienced. Don't let them shade you and check it out yourself. I rarely make reviews but this was so solid we both decided to. We will be back.

Barry T.

Yelp
Amazingly delicious and flavorful Service was spectacular professional and attentive Very relaxing and comfortable

Steven M.

Yelp
What a great little place. We visited while we were in town. It's an interesting interior and lends to the atmosphere in a big way i got the butter chicken, my wife got tikka. the portions were a lot bigger than expected and the presentation is well thought of. we also got butter naan which was quite perfect. it makes me wish more indian restaurants served this type of bread. we had plenty to take home and make a second meal out of it. i really say give it a go. chances are you won't be disappointed. the service was questionable. the table side manner was a little lacking. but not worthy of deducting stars. see photo

Sourav S.

Yelp
Food was average and the service slow. Ambiance is very good. We had ordered chola bhathura and were kind of misguided by the waiter to take instead of one.

Vibha B.

Yelp
DOWNFALL in SERVICE Went in for Birthday dinner Midweek. I used to love this place, but this time I had bad experience. Ambiance- No change in the ambiance. Greeting-We went in and thee Manager (I believe) had no response, no smile, no greeting, and just asked,"four?" and we said'"yes" he made us sit on the a table, but when I asked we want to sit at the couch boot, He said that you are four and only 5+ parties can sit. told him that there are people sitting on the left corner and they are 4, he mentioned that they had reservation. No worries we sat down. 10 minutes after seating, they came an Asian family of 4, well greeted and they were made to sit on the couch. discremination and bad attitude towards selected guests of the community. Service - Our server was new and so had to call the sernior person, instead of making him shadow, the other server just asked him to leave. we ordered. Food - MASALA PAPAD, which had 3 pieces stacked on one other, only the top papad had cilantro and other two did not. VEG PANEER KABOB- good, but very dry and bland. last time we were here 2months ago, they served us in a fancy platter, but today they gave us in a plate. when asked, why so, the server told us truth, that those fancy platters are saved for the guests who sit at the booth. which I found very strange. PANEER TIKKA - we ordered this first time, DO NOT TRY THIS. poor presentation. when I picked up the picture online and asked what is this manager was very rude and said,"mam look at that picture carefully, this is chicken tikka." the way he said, I just kept quiet but he should learn how to talk to guests or should be fired. But the chicken tikka presentation is much better than paneer tikka and definetely I can make better at home. It was not even properly marinated. LAHORI PANEER- tastes good, small quantitiy. Magnolian paneer is much better. another thing we noticed, the serving size was much smaller than last time i was here. Checkout- no propblem, but when we got our bill from our server, he heard a loud scream from one of the guest there, 'THIS IS NOT OUR BILL". we turned around and manager was there, saying, "Oh, let me print your bill." definetely manager is not doing a good job there. also, while we were leaving, there was a group of 4 men who walked in and they were seated on the booth as well. I am curious now, all the groups seating on the booth were party of 4, why were we denied when we specifically asked for it? As much as I always want to come back, this time experience does not make me want to come back.

Yelp
I mean I loved it. Every bit of it. Kashtha roti stole our hearts. We had it with Navratan korma which was different; but good. The veg biryani was AMAZING especially eaten with the korma. And the raita with biryani was great. I have to say the tropical breeze drink was a big disappointment and don't even drink it if you have a questionable liking to guava. But they graciously changed it to an old fashioned. Overall again, loved this place. Pista kulfi also, amazing. Just loved this place

Yelp
Delicious!! One of the best Chana Masala meals I've had! The chef even made it vegan for me.

Yelp
Holy cow-what a treat! On the road from KC(sorely lacking in good Indian cuisine) arrive nearly half hour before close and this place wowed us! Despite our lateness, the staff was so welcoming, kind and attentive. The ambience was amazing, basically had place to ourselves due to lateness. Now the food- so delectable, I had to just sit and sniff it. We didn't go all out, wanted to get out quick. Butter chicken for me, my husband had fish curry(mahi-mahi). Mine was perfect. I'm a spice sissy and it was just right. My husband said his fish had the most incredible texture and seasoning and my butter chicken-well it melted like butter in my mouth. Right by the Ohare airport, if you are near by definitely go. If you're not, make the trip! Oh yeah-food truck parked out front-how do I get them to Kansas City??!!

Yelp
Terrible food, esp for people who know how things , kebabs and other dishes taste, it was terrible from that stand point. To people who are new to the food ; may find it ok

Yelp
This is one of the BEST Indian food places in the entire Chicagoland area. Fresh & hot off the oven-the way Indian food should be. Amazingly put together, the food here is superb. Stop reading and go here! The only thing I'd say is, it's not "budget" friendly. But, when it's this good, who cares!? It's worth the money!

Yelp
One of the best Indian restaurants with amazing ambience and service. Shoutout to our lovely server Juan who was so kind and helpful. The Lahore paneer and appetizers were delicious. Definitely a must-go!

Yelp
I've ordered take out about three times and dined here for the first time last night. I'll start by saying if the food wasn't great tasting, we would not have stuck around to dine and can't recommend eating in to anyone else. The gentleman who handles take out orders and seating treated us as if we were unwelcome and in each interaction his tone and body language suggested he wanted us to leave. First off, I walked in to ask how long was the wait after a few ppl outside indicated they were waiting for take out or just chatting after their meal. The host said it would be 15-20 min but he couldn't say for certain. So I say okay, no problem. Before I could ask if he needed a name, he summoned the person behind to step up. So I waited and asked after he finished talking with the other person to ask. He smirked & responded by saying no, I'll know you and walked away. So we sat outside on a bench in line sight of the window so the rude guy would not forget us since he'd see us at all times. ( (Not to mention I called to ask about the wait time before we arrived and there was no answer). SECOND, We ordered a cocktail while we waited. Same guy tries to persuade us to dine at the bar that's largely being used to store rows on ROWS of take out bags. We politely declined opting to wait for a table. (Service issue) THIRD, when a group of tables opened up, the same guy seated 2-3 groups who arrived AFTER us. In fact, one couple walked up and asked about the wait and were ushered to a large corner table by the window immediately. So I approached the desk again and he said, "oh yeah, I have one for you now". No apology. When I probed, he said "I got busy". After he noticed me taking photos, he removed his name tag. Smart move on his part this time. (Host issue) FOURTH, our table still had crumbs and food remnants on it. We had to ask to have it wiped at which time I noticed the floor surrounding us had a pile of crumbs too! As if some kid dropped the complimentary snacks out of the basket and stomped on them. (Cleanliness/Sanitary issue once seated in the middle of a pandemic) FIFTH, our Butter Naan was COLD by the time it arrived. I've had it warmer after picking it up for takeout and driving 15-20 min. (Food Temperature Issue m) Food: We ordered chicken tandoori, basmati rice, naan, butter chicken (it was lukewarm) and cocktails. (bill $73) ... All of the items were great tasting and the chicken in both entrees was very moist. However, the temperature was lukewarm even though we were seated closest to the kitchen than anyone else! Also, I was puzzled by the fact that we didn't get the sugar cubes we watched others enjoy including getting thirds and fourth helpings. Overall a very disappointing dine in experience, largely due to the host who if I had to guess is the owners son or the manager. He was a real jerk as depicted in other reviews. Value for money: 4/5 (small, great tasting portions) Temperature: 2/5 Dine In Opinion: I wouldn't recommend dining in. My only suggestion would be if they're stretched thin is to say we're done seating for the night. TBH, it was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in some time. (We dined on August 20th, there's no outdoor seating, and if it matters to you there's no mask mandate for the establishment & most employees and diners were without.) Cleanliness: 2/5 Seating placement: 5/5 Ambience: 4/5 Service: 2/5 (bus boy and order taker were attentive)

Yelp
Had a late dinner here after driving in from Michigan last year (2022 fall)- yelped and found this place. Food was fantastic - vegetarians had Bhindi and Lahori paneer and Peshawari Chole. I ordered goat and goat biriyani. Fair warning this food of the type that you would get in India! So bones marrow and all... Taste of these goat dishes was fantastic- this is food you dig in with your hands after protecting your clothes. I think we also had kingfisher beer with the food. Service was reasonably quick, I think - it's been a while. The ambience is a bit dated but not overly bad. All in all 4stars

Yelp
Self proclaimed food from NJ passing by Chicago. Looked up good places to eat near airport. 3.5 stars. 2.5 to 3 for food and rest for the service and ambiance. The lamb chops for $30 is not worth it. It's not grilled fresh, possibly boiled than grilled. Leema Samosas we're just regular samosas. I am only with the $10. The two lamb dishes - Peshwari goat, Laal Mas, and naans were okay. I cannot comment on the authenticity of the dishes, but they will pass as good curries. Onion kulcha was not kulcha, looked more like stuffed cabbage naan.

Yelp
Ricky and Keerthana were very pleasant servers! He was very patient while we asked about all the different dishes. They made the lamb bryani extra spicy! And it was perfect! Beautifuly decorated with lights and flowers.
