Mantra Specialty Coffee Minibar

Seriously excellent coffee in a hidden gem of a cafe not far from the historic central market. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their coffee. And the cakes are so delicious too. Nice space with inside seating, and cool outdoor seating under the trees to chill. Free WiFi too.

Great place to have your coffee. Aside from main tourist routes, if you want to enjoy great coffee and cake, make an effort and see this place. We came before closing time (30 min, as we had just arrived in Budapest); the staff were very pleasant, explained when they finished, and made a coffee without any problem. Cheesecake with caramel topping is very good—highly recommended!

The coffee was good, but the carrot cake is far from perfect (no carrot flavor, no spices, for some reason covered with lemon-flavored icing). Almost all the seats inside the cafe (and the cafe itself is small) are almost completely occupied by people with laptops. We had to sit on bar chairs. There is one toilet and it wasn't very clean.

Great choice of specialty coffee! It’s a bit pricey, but the quality of coffee is high. I would recommend to try batch brew here. Desserts are also tasty.

Stopped by for good coffee! Cute atmosphere with AC inside and several tables outside. Did not try the food.

We took flat whites. The coffee was not strong enough. The taste is average. The service is great. Banana bread is very soft.

As a person who moved to Budapest a few months ago and tried many cafés, I can now say for sure that this is my favourite café in the whole city. Why? In my opinion, they have the best coffee. They offer dark and light roasted coffee (I prefer dark roasted) and have different milk options (cow, oat). They have a water station and you can get the coffee to go or stay there. They have some snacks such as croissants (plain, salmon, savoury, sweet), fluffy banana cake, rich brownies and other delicious desserts. It's not a brunch place but everything is very tasty and home made. The service is phenomenal. They are kind, sweet and speak English very well. I love their concept: a mix of study café & normal café. They have wifi and designated study tables with sockets. They play chilled background music, but it's possible to have a conversation or listen to your own music. The toilet is very clean. I love the (yellow) vibe and come here every one or two weeks. It's great for studying or chilling.
