Many Bennies exemplifies the cons of New Zealand-style soft serve - Review - Seattle - The Infatuation

"The New Zealand-style soft serve craze has hit Fremont with Many Bennies, a takeout window that churns frozen fruit-infused ice cream in a complicated apparatus. But the entire operation overpromises and under-delivers. For starters, the machine fitted with an auger seems chronically broken. Smooth pockets of soft serve are few and far between, overpowered by frozen fruit bits that didn’t properly blend—there’s nothing that can zap you out of a good ice cream daydream like pebbles of rock-hard mango. And because the contraption gets a little clogged at the end of each serving, the bottom of your cup or cone will likely include leftovers from the person in front of you. You want a photo of fuchsia-tinted blackberry swirls topped with candy googly eyes? Go ahead, you silly goose, but know that you’re getting style over substance." - Aimee Rizzo

Google
Many Bennies is a must-visit for dessert lovers! This amazing soft-serve spot offers a customizable experience that the entire family will enjoy. Google
Delicious ice cream! I’ve never had the inclusion of fresh fruit in a soft serve but I’m totally sold on it now. They get 6 stars for the cute addition of eye candies

Google
The ice cream here was delicious! Super creamy texture and full of flavor. What really stood out to me was how natural the fruit tasted. It made every bite refreshing and satisfying. Definitely a spot I’d come back to when I’m craving something sweet!

Google
Unique ice cream joint where you choose the flavor and they take the extract of it and MAKE the ice cream itself for you on order.. VERY POPULAR place…. Always a line here… the people are SUPER nice and they have a fishbowl full of lactaid single tabs in case you’re lactose intolerant… 😁

Google
Waiter recommended this place while in town and I needed something sweet so we made a stop. Little disappointed as their waffle cone machine was broken and heard those were good so did not get the chance to try them. The ice cream is different than most where they mix it with the fruit you choose. Good flavor and it hit the spot. Service was good even with the place being very busy. No 5 stars per cone issue. Hope to try it next time.

Google
Fun concept, good execution, reasonable Seattle price 😭 and great location right next to the climbing gym. Very cute. I had lavender base with local blackberries and cacao nibs 👌 lavender wasn't overpowering. You get to watch it being made. Overall enjoyed the experience. Will def be tempted when next in the area. They have punch cards (buy 9 get one free).

Google
The ice cream at Many Beanies is truly unique. The flavors are incredibly refreshing and offer a nice twist on traditional favorites. I went for the sweet cream base and blueberry fruit flavor, which are locally sourced! Topped with cacao nibs, it was the perfect balance of creamy, fruity, and crunchy. The freshly made waffle cone was an added bonus—any time you can smell a waffle cone being made in-house, you know it’s going to be good. It really added to the experience and is definitely something worth trying.

Google
Many Bennie’s is such a delightful find! I got the vegan vanilla base with strawberry, and it tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. The shop is tucked away in a charming neighborhood, giving it a cozy, hidden-gem vibe. Staff were super friendly and welcoming too. Definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
Super delicious ice cream. Located right outside SBP Fremont, this is a great place to go after bouldering. You are able to customize your ice cream by blending up to 2 fruits into their base. You can choose from many different bases and I got the limited edition lemon raspberry. I mixed it with blueberry and blackberry. So yum! They have free lactaid as well and vegan base if you want to avoid milk! The ice cream is the perfect size for one person and derive is quick. I will be back!

Yelp
Many Bennies had been on my try list for a while, but I ultimately thought that the concept was fun, but the texture just wasn't my favorite. I ended up trying the earl gray base with blackberries and blueberries and what I didn't realize is that everything gets blended directly into the base before they serve it to you. Unfortunately, the berries completely overwhelmed the earl gray flavor and I feel like it also impacted the texture so it was a bit too water-y and not that luxurious creaminess that I'm looking for with soft serve. Logistics wise, you'll have to find street parking, but I've never had too much trouble with the residential neighborhood they're in. I went at 7PM before a late-ish dinner reservation on a cold, rainy Saturday, so there weren't too many folks in line. Their seating is technically out doors, but it's covered with plenty of heat lamps, so it was actually pretty warm to the point that I took off my jacket! I think it's fun if you live in the area, but I definitely wouldn't wait in line or go out of my way for it.

Yelp
I have a huge sweet tooth, so I was excited to hear a new dessert spot opened up in my area! Located near the Fremont area, parking can be tricky to find as it's primarily street parking. But the entire area is really cute to just take a stroll and shop around. The store is a small window front where you can quickly take your order. There's outdoor seating available too to enjoy your dessert. They offer a lot of flavors and mix-ins to try which were all fruity and unique combos! We ended up ordering the blueberry flavor which was so fresh and not artificial at all! It's also so cute with their famous chocolate/candy eyes. The portion size was really big so I was able to share it with my boyfriend. Overall, I'd definitely recommend checking out Many Bennie's if you're in the Fremont area!

Yelp
Super yummy dessert!!! The soft serve was so fresh tasting! Fresh fruit and unique toppings is just chefs kiss xx !!! Only outdoor seating so if it's chilly bundle up!

Yelp
Never heard of this ice cream place before some friends took me here but this place is yummy! This is a fun little small New Zealand style(?) ice cream shop next to SBP in Fremont. Ordering is done at a window next to SBP, and there's a small outdoor seating area next to it with some tables and benches. I got a cup of the mango (seasonal option) with sweet cream base. Flavor was good! I liked how you can sometimes get mango fruit chunks in a bite of ice cream. The amount of ice cream which you get for the price is also great, my cup came really loaded up. The eyes which they add to the ice cream are cute, too. Not too enjoyable to eat though. Service was super friendly but somewhat slow, I think they didn't have too many people working so it took a bit of time to order and for the ice cream to come out, but the taste and quantity more than made up for it. Definitely a cool spot to grab some ice cream that's not a major chain like Salt&Straw or Molly Moon!

Yelp
Cute ice cream. I had a fun time customizing my ice cream and seeing how the colors turned out. There was a line but the wait was not too long and the staff was really kind. There were enough tables for me to sit at one. Perfect for a sweet little treat.

Yelp
Life-changing ice cream? Not quite, but it's really good for the price and size. I walked by this place on a weekend after a run and noticed it had just opened. I've been seeing Many Bennies all over social media and since there was no line I figured I'd try it out. I got the sweet cream base with mango and strawberry ($6). I enjoyed the flavor a lot and thought the base + fruit complemented each other well. Because it's a softer serve you don't have to worry about it being too dense. There are places to sit and eat however it's all outside. On a colder day you may want to take it to go. I enjoyed this spot and will be back.

Yelp
I wasn't planning on stopping by but the smell of waffle cones lured us to try it. I got a lemon raspberry swirl base with strawberry fruit, lemon curd, and graham cracker topping. It was really well balanced and refreshing. The lemon curd added a nice tang, and the graham cracker added a great texture that tied everything together. The fruit we picked worked really well without being too sweet. Seating is limited to outdoors only, but the staff was very friendly, and I highly recommend coming!

Yelp
I've seen long lines of this place in summer, but didn't try until one day there was no line. Honestly, the ice cream was good, but not amazing. The texture felt a bit too dense, and I've had creamier ice cream. I would get it again, but probably would not line up for it. The service was quick, and the staff were friendly. There is a nice, open place next to it for seating.

Yelp
Finally got to try Many Bennies in Fremont and I would say it lived up to the hype! I had a cup with the sweet cream base and tried the mango and blackberry flavors. It was super creamy and tasted like actual fruit (not too sweet and really refreshing). Also, we loved the cute little candy eyes on top, which was a fun touch that makes it totally Instagram-worthy. There is usually a long line (especially during summers), but we lucked out and came on a Sunday evening and there was no wait at all. Definitely planning to come back to try more flavors!

Yelp
Cute and fun sweet treat! Decided to stop here after a picnic at Gas Works park and it did the trick for a sweet treat after hanging out at the park. Only a 10 minute walk from Gas Works!

Yelp
You just can't get this type of ice cream anywhere else in the city!!! It's so refreshing and delicious. I love this place. Only downside is that the line gets pretty long and there's no indoor seating (just a covered patio with the side). But that said, it's worth it!

Yelp
TLDR: overrated new ice cream shop We've been here several times since they opened. First time, I got their seasonal flavor lavender with banana and mango. BAD CHOICE. The lavender overpowered every single last bit of banana or mango flavor. It felt like a gigantic lavender in ice cream shape. The consistency was also disappointing in a way hard to describe... Also I saw them handing some people ice cream in cup with the waffle cone on top, which was so much more convenient than how they put mine together - waffle cone with an extremely tall thin ice cream top. It turned into a disaster when the goggley eyes fell and I tried to clean them off of the ground as an etiquette - the entire ice cream top collapsed and half of them fed the concrete ground ... oh, btw. the area around this ice cream shop was full of those googley eyes... We gave them second and third chances with the basic flavors (sweet cream and the vegan one). They were good, and not overly sweet which I always appreciate, but nothing special. And the googley eyes were more for advertising than tasting, IMO. IG the most unique thing about their ice cream is they blend in real fruits? Oh, and I very much dislike how they handed out their ice creams - plugging the cones into the holes in front of their window... quite gross considering their traffic and the dust and the germs and everything else and how infrequently they'd clean that rack...

Yelp
I had lavender with berries - extremely fresh! I love how you can taste the fruit and the ice cream itself refreshing! Weekday before 3 pm usually has shorter lone. Size/portion varies. The last time i received was a lot less than first time :')

Yelp
Creamy and fruit ice cream which was very refreshing on a warm summer day! We found street parking and got lucky because the line wasn't too long. I will say that service is a little on the slower side because they blend each ice cream to order. I got the sweet cream base with blackberries. It was good but for some reason, I didn't get the ice cream craving satisfied quite like other ice cream spots. But still tasty. I love that they give Lactaid and the lemon curd was nice as well. A little on the pricier side but definitely different than other ice cream spots if you're looking for something more unique! Great outdoor seating area!
google avatar

Yelp
How cute, but only partially worth the hype if I'm totally honest. Basically you order an ice cream (vegan vanilla or sweet cream) base then add up to two fresh fruit which they blend in. Then choose your topping(s). The line was long but moved reasonably fast, so we weren't waiting forever. There was outdoor covered seating, but we planned to enjoy the ice cream at gas works (did end up finishing them before we got to the park lol). The SB ice cream was pretty tart, I think I liked the MB combination more (most likely because I LOVED the toasted coconut chips). I don't think I'll go out of my way to go back, but it is a fun place to try once. Service was friendly, portions were appropriate. Vegan friendly options. Parking - street and/or neighborhood parking

Yelp
Cool trendy dessert spot right next to the Bouldering Project gym offering fresh New Zealand style ice cream! Staff were all super friendly :) Your choice of cream base (sweet cream, vegan vanilla, lavendar) is blended (made to order) with up to 2 fruits of your choice into a swirled dessert and served to you with candy googley eyes! I got the banana blueberry and liked the flavor but friend got strawberry mango and the consistency was even better super smooth I have to order that next time! Also really like that it's not too sweet and they use real fruits! They have a punch card too with buy 9 get 1 free!

Yelp
Many Bennies is a walk up ice cream spot in Fremont. They blend fresh fruits into the ice cream on the spot. They are curently in their soft opening but it was the first time for me to have ice cream this way. There are a bunch of toppings available and you can choose up to 2 fruits. They also have rotating bases for their ice cream. There is a big seating area that is covered as well. Free lactaid if you need it! Staff: nice (4/5) Sanitation status: (5/5) Strawberry and Blackberry with Sweet Cream Base (4/5) The Ice cream was really soft and smooth. I would definitely want to try other combinations. They also had a vegan base which a friend of mine got and I actually preferred that base over the sweet cream.

Yelp
I think the ice cream cone face says it all LOL it was okay didn't really taste like much almost like eating Cool Whip Frozen cool concept though probably will never go back

Yelp
Many Bennies is a cute new ice cream shop that has a fresh fruit-forward concept that is custom made to order. It's a tiny storefront right next to Seattle bouldering project in Fremont but has a patio for outdoor seating. It's nice in the summer, but I'm not sure how it'll work in the cold winters. I customized a lavender base ice cream with blueberry and blackberry fruit mix ins. They also had strawberry, cherry, banana, and mango. The fruit options change with the seasons. For the bases, you could choose between the original sweet cream, vegan base, or lavender. Finally, I Added cacao nibs as an extra topping (+50¢). It was good, but I thought the fruit flavor could have been even stronger. Plus, there were bits that were not fully mixed. The eyes are a cute concept, but don't really taste good lol. It's a bit expensive at $8 a cup (and extra for a cone) but the fresh fruit concept may be worth this upcharge. Unfortunately when I went, they were out of a lot of fruit options, including mango, which I really wanted to try. Guess I'll just have to go earlier in the day next time before they sell out.

Yelp
I couldn't tell if the long line for this place was because it was right next to The Bouldering Project (while a bunch of people were still inside) or if it's just that popular. After having their ice cream, it's safe to say the latter is probably more true. I got here at around 9pm on a Tuesday night, got to the front to order at around 9:30pm and got my order 5 minutes later. This place is in Wallingford and not too far off from Fremont, so good luck finding any sort of street parking... You get a choice to get the ice cream as a soft-serve or in a cone. Then you can choose what base you want for your ice cream, two kinds of locally grown fruit for your soft serve, and then any toppings you want. You'd have to look really closely at the menu (located near the front) to see that bananas and mangoes are also part of the fruit list. I decided to get a strawberry mango sweet cream base in a waffle cone, and add lemon curd per my server's recommendation. This came to almost $9 for the whole thing, which isn't too bad. There's some outside roofed seating nearby to use as well. The cone is pretty big, the cream is really good and all the flavors hit at the same time for me here! There was a clear, distinct taste of both strawberry and mango, when I thought that the strawberry would overpower the mango. The lemon curd added an extra citrusy spike to my ice cream, which pairs very well with how sweet the soft serve already is. The strawberry banana was a high recommendation from some people when I was standing in line, so that might be something I try next time I'm here!

Yelp
Overall, great freshly made New Zealand ice cream! You can choose a vegan or sweet cream base, then the fruits! They have some seasonal options (like mango). They also give free lactose pills! I enjoy coming here for ice cream! In the beginning, there was always a long line, but now it's a quick line! Parking is free, if you can get it! But if you search long enough, something will open up!
google avatar

Yelp
The line for this place is always insanely long, so be ready to wait! They really blew up over social media and the nonstop positive reviews had me wanting to try it for so long. I've never had New Zealand style ice cream before, and this was a really pleasant experience. I came on a Thursday evening and while the line didn't look too bad, we still ended up waiting around an hour. I ended up choosing the vegan coconut base with strawberries and blackberries mixed in, and coconut flakes on top. The ice cream itself was really good - it was so fresh and smooth and flavorful at the same time! I also got a waffle cone, which was nice and fresh. While it was really good ice cream, I wouldn't wait an hour again for it. It's definitely worth trying though!

Yelp
Honest 3.5 rounded up. Pretty overhyped with the social media craze but tasty. New Zealand ice cream has been available in South Seattle, but pretty inconvenient for most of the foodies around Seattle or up north, which is why I think Many Bennies exploded over social media. Worth trying, but probably not returning constantly for the value. We tried each ice cream base (sweet cream, vegan vanilla, and lavender) as well as three different fruits (blackberry, mango, and banana). It's nice to have freedom of choice, so bonus points there. To appreciate the blend of ice cream and fruit, I'd say the base must be sweet cream or vegan vanilla. Lavender as the ice cream base just overwhelms any other flavor. Similarly, banana as the fruit tends to be pretty powerful and drowns out the base. Banana was great, but a very dense and thick flavor of a green banana (you'll understand if you try).
google avatar

Phoebe C.

Yelp
This was super cute! Real fruit ice cream where you pick a base and then your fruit and toppings for extra. Really love the concept and just ordering at the window and there is some seating outside. Perfect for a warm day to sit out and relax.
google avatar

Ashley K.

Yelp
Tried to go here last time I was in town but arrived just in time to see their cute, end of the line closing sign. A small consolation. This time I arrived much earlier, ruining my dinner appetite, happily. They had seasonal peach base so who could say no. Added some blueberries, and topped with coconut and chocolate. Ample toppings, delicious and fresh ice cream, and the consistency is absolutely perfect. Very creamy and yet also didn't sit heavy. If you like crunch, get the coconut topping!

Yelp
After trying real fruit ice cream for the first time in Port Angeles, we decided to visit Many Bennies the next weekend. This was at 4PM on Saturday, and there was a huge line down the block and around the corner. It took us about 20 minutes to reach and front, and another 3 minutes or so for them to prepare our ice cream. We saw them making the ice cream through the window - it looked like a medium sized scoop of ice cream, then two smaller scoops of fruit; about a 1:1 ratio I'd say. The only have two machines, so they make the lighter fruit treats (banana, mango, strawberry) in one, and the darker ones (blackberry, blueberry, raspberry) in the other. They don't clean the machine between servings, so there will be some contamination; don't be surprised! I think this is normal operating procedure for New Zealand-style real fruit ice cream shops, at least from my experience from the two that I've visited (neither in NZ though). I love how they supply lactase pills for those of us unlucky to be stricken with lactose intolerance! Such a nice gesture. They also make their waffle cones in house! Cup, Sweet Cream Base, Mango ($6) - I thought the Port A ice cream was good, but this one is on another level. It's so smooth and rich, with a fatty and silky mouthfeel that coats the entire mouth with each lick. It's almost like a frozen custard in texture. It's blended until the mango chunks are completely incorporated, giving a good mango flavor without any chunks to break up the lush texture. The mango is typical frozen mango that's on the tangy side rather than a fully ripe sweet mango (although colder foods are less sweet due to the taste buds not being able to sense sweetness as well). This is a stellar ice cream. I'd love to know where they get their ice cream base from if they don't make it themselves. Given the quality of the blend, the base must also be excellent. (5/5) They didn't include the famous googly eyes in our ice cream - I didn't see any customer receive them, so I guess they ran out for the day? I wonder if my experience with the smoothness of the ice cream had to do with the mango? Perhaps going with blueberry, as I did with the place in Port Angeles, would make it icy and chunky? I don't know the answer, but I'm excited to find out the next time I visit Many Bennies!

Yelp
Really average tasting ice cream. This place is definitely overhyped. Not sure why the lines are so long. You can order up to two flavors. Theres decent amount of seats. Theres street parking. I was able to finally try it after 3 attempts. I ordered the blackberry and strawberry flavor. It mostly tasted like blackberry. It also tasted like banana near the end. My friends also ordered different flavors, but they all tasted like banana. This makes me question the hygiene between each customer. It seems like they don't clean it that thoroughly.
google avatar

Vivien L.

Yelp
***My personal experience around 7 on 6/10/2025*** My friends and I visited around 7pm on a Tuesday and there was no wait! Staff was friendly and I ordered the strawberry mango with sweet cream, waffle cone, and graham crackers. It took about 5 minutes to receive my order. The flavor was light but I couldn't taste any mango. It tasted like strawberry banana. The banana taste overwhelmed the strawberry flavor. My friends didn't order banana with their ice creams and also tasted banana! The graham crackers are different sizes, probably for the aesthetic, but I'd prefer if it was just consistent smaller pieces. Many Bennies is still in their soft opening phase so there may be an issue with cleaning their equipment properly. There could be flavor cross contamination. The weather has also been super hot in Seattle recently so things could be spoiling quicker. I got a stomachache, had a bad time in the restroom, and threw up shortly after. I'm not lactose intolerant and I'm sure my body reacted like this from the ice cream. If I didn't have such a horrible reaction and tasted banana across all 3 different orders, I would have given 3/5. However, since this was my experience, I give this a 1. I think there can be better quality control and cleaning from the staff.

Yelp
Finally an ice cream spot for the lactose intolerant peeps! I loved the novelty eyes and the free lactaid. The workers are so friendly and the ice cream is delicious. We got the banana with chocolate drizzle and blackberry with graham cracker crumble. Their waffle cones are so yummy! A perfect place to grab a quick desert

Yelp
so so so yummy!! came back here with hesitation since I tried when they first opened and it didn't blow me away. I'm so glad I did because now they blew my socks off. I had to come back the next day for another one because it was so good!! We got their peach base since it was seasonal and was recommended to add strawberries. this was an amazing combo. the peach was subtle but fragrant and not too overpowering. the texture of the ice cream was incredible and the highlight for me. its smooth, velvety, and doesn't melt fast. the portion was massive too! perfect amount to share between two people. I also really appreciated that they had heaters in their little outside seating area so I could enjoy my ice cream there. this might be my new go to ice cream place and my favorite in town!

Yelp
TLDR: $7.50 for the ice cream in a cone + a topping (0.50 cents each). Crispy and thin, house-made waffle cones. Fruit chunks in ice cream. No line so it was very quick ; less than 5 min. There's lots of outdoor seating with coverage so if you're cool w the cold, it's still good to visit on a rainy day. We got the mango with a sweet cream base and added Tajín (came with complimentary chamoy!). Overall flavors were on point. The ice cream was refreshing and not super sweet. Had almost a sorbet-like texture w an added creaminess. The flavor of the waffle cones was perfect ! Sweetness paired with the ice cream made it not too overwhelming for a person who might not like dessert that much. Size of one cone, in my opinion, is great for one OR two people. Great visit for the summer or for someone who wants dessert but doesn't want anything super sweet.

Yelp
This is a New Zealand-style soft serve spot tucked into Fremont, just a short walk from Gas Works Park. It's the kind of place that feels like a treat because of where it is. A nice stop if you're already in the area, strolling or picnicking nearby. They've nailed the fun, not taking yourself too seriously aesthetics, including the little eyes. The setup is straightforward: you pick your ice cream base, options include sweet cream (dairy), vegan vanilla (non-dairy), or a rotating seasonal flavor (lavender this time), then choose your fruit mix-ins. They blend the fruit right into the soft serve, so it takes a minute. I tried two combos: - Sweet cream with blackberry + blueberry in a regular cup ($6): Light, mildly sweet, and really refreshing. The berries added a nice tart balance. - Sweet cream with strawberry + mango in a house-made waffle cup ($7): A bit sweeter, still not overly rich. The waffle cup was crisp and held up well. They've recently expanded their hours, now open from 12 to 10 PM, Tuesday through Sunday, and the wait was definitely shorter this time around. There's also a small outdoor seating area if you want to hang out for a bit. All in all, it's a solid treat -- not something I'd go out of my way for.

Yelp
Super cute and unique ice cream spot! They blend fruit with the ice cream to make a delicious treat. We chose the sweet cream base and chose blackberries and mango with toppings of coconut and chocolate sauce. I didn't taste too much of the mango, but it definitely had blackberries because I could chew the seeds from the ice cream. It was creamy and refreshing.
google avatar

Yelp
Located right next to Seattle Bouldering Project in Fremont, this soft serve shop has an adorable concept and branding that definitely stands out. The make-your-own, small-batch soft serve model using fresh ingredients is a fun and unique approach. That said, the experience felt a bit underwhelming for me. Since the machine produces one serving at a time, the wait can be long, and the texture wasn't consistent. The top of my soft serve tasted more like an icy, blended frozen fruit mix, while the bottom was mostly the soft serve base, unmixed. Some might enjoy the contrast in texture and flavor, but it wasn't my preference. The eyeball toppings are a cute and quirky touch, but overall, I didn't find the soft serve itself particularly memorable. I'd return if friends or family were curious to try it, but probably not on my own. I got the sweet cream base with the mango and strawberry! This was a recommendation by the staff who was super friendly in helping me order.

Yelp
This post was from an initial visit back on 2/23/25. The radius around Many Bennies is a major challenge for parking and exercise caution as a pedestrian. Due to their popularity and novelty, yes there was a line with only two staff members - one working the register and one prepping all of the made to orders. There's even a container by the register offering Lactaid, lol. There is adjacent limited covered counter seating, most orders are takeout. I got a pair of strawberry cream base with a chocolate drizzle in cups. And yes, they came with the signature candied googly eyes. My fave indie spots in Seattle for quality soft serve are Milk Drunk (Beacon Hill) and Spice Waala (Ballard, Capitol Hill and Columbia City). It's good to add Many Bennies to the list. I can only imagine how crazy busy this place will be during the warmer months, especially as a detour off the Burke Gilman Trail or a visit from Gasworks Park.

Yelp
My husband and I were craving a fruity treat, and we remembered walking by this spot in the winter before it had opened. The concept is unique amongst ice cream places- instead of dozens of flavors, you choose from one of three bases (sweet cream, coconut-milk vanilla, or lavender) and then choose one or two fruits (currently strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, mango, and banana) to be blended with the base to form a custom-flavored ice cream. You can add toppings as well, but we opted to stick to just the ice cream. Incredibly delicious and refreshing on a nice spring day. The place was packed when we arrived, but they are good about keeping things moving- the line to order was short, and then the wait is mostly for the ice cream itself. We ended up taking ours to go as there weren't any seats available, but that was totally fine as we were able to enjoy a nice walk home with our pup, who got a lil sweet cream pup cup!

Yelp
Lowkey expensive for ice cream but really good quality and you can taste the freshness of the berries. Love the little chunks of berry and the eyes

Yelp
Staff is friendly here! Love the fresh fruit blended in with the ice cream really can't beat the flavor. They have limited patio seating. It wasn't too busy when we went so we didn't wait long at all. They were sold out of a few items but what we wanted to try available. They have peach right now for September! This is a walk up place with no indoor seating as well. Also free lactaide! And a dairy free option was available.

Yelp
Went to Many Bennies for the first time the other week! The staff walked me through how to order and let me sample flavors! I was so happy with how mine turned out and I highly recommend! This is located right next to a bouldering gym, and is the perfect sweet treat after climbing with friends!

Yelp
Got a cup, lavender, with blackberries $6.62 the blackberries added a nice crunch. They let you pick up base and then fruit and blend it.

Yelp
This ice cream shop has been trending and we wanted to try it out. The ice cream was good, but personally, it did not meet the expectations I was hoping for. I had their mango sweet cream. The base is sweet cream ice cream that's blended with mango. Honestly, not much flavor from my experience, but it may be healthier than the "norm" ice cream. I had lemon curd syrup as a topping and it made a huge difference to it. The eyes were cute additions, but I do not recommend eating it. It's like very hard Tart candy The service was good. Of course, the line is long. It took about 40 mins to order and then 10-15 mins for our order to be ready. The ambiance was decent. There's only outdoor dining, but not too much seating. Overall, a decent experience, but I would not come back.

Yelp
Many Bennies is my new favorite ice cream joint. We liked it so much on Friday night that we came back on Saturday afternoon. The owner is super nice and chill and even though everyone has to wait to have their soft serve freshly made, the vibe feels laid back and positive. On Friday, we came between 5:40-6:00pm, and there weren't too many people in line. I got the vegan vanilla with strawberry mixed in and topped with graham crackers. It was the perfect mix of tart and sweet with crunch. Loved it. My hubs got the dairy cream base with blackberries mixed in with a freshly made waffle cone. He loved his as well. We both thought the googly eyes added to our soft serves were a super cute touch!!! On Saturday around 4:15pm, there was a longer line. I got the same concoction because I loved it so much and couldn't deviate. My hubs tried the vegan vanilla with blueberries in a cone and said he liked it better than the dairy base. I tasted his and it was really good. Everything here tastes so fresh and delicious! My only suggestion is to make vegan cones for those of us who are vegan and/or who can't eat dairy (I can't digest milk protein so the little packs of Lactaid will not help me even though it's a considerate freebie), and to make the cones a little less sweet. Go try Many Bennies. It's awesome. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Many Bennies first caught my eye because of all of the pictures on social media of their ice cream with the eyes. It looks super cute in photos and I was very interested in what New Zealand is. The word has definitely gotten out about this place, and also probably since it has been getting warmer out, more people are checking the place out. My group went just this past Saturday. We got to the line at about 3:55pm and there was already a long line of about 12-15 people in front of us. It took about 30 minutes for us to order and then maybe 10 minutes to get our ice cream afterwards. You get to choose your base, fruit, and add ons. Everything, including the cones, are made to order. They have some seasonal flavors that I was most interested in trying. I got the sweet cream with mango and lavender with blueberry. I was expecting the ice cream to be more of a sorbet, but it was more creamy. The lavender was my favorite base. The lavender flavor was very strong and didn't taste too artificial. When blending the fruits into the ice cream, I felt that it could have been more even as I had some big chunks of fruit and the beginning of the mango one didn't have as much mango until we got further into it. I also think there was some remnants of the mango sweet cream at the bottom of my lavender one because I saw some white at the bottom of the cone and it tasted a bit like the sweet cream... The cone was delicious though, I am glad that I opted for it! We didn't realize that we could pick more than one fruit to mix with the ice cream so I definitely want to come back and try different combinations. I wouldn't wait more than 30 minutes for this though, and I can see the wait being long especially during the summer. I wish both of my cones came with the eyes - it would have been so cute to see and to take a photo of, but it's okay it didn't take away from the taste of the ice cream. Maybe next time there will be eyes!

Yelp
Many Bennies offers New Zealand-style ice cream, which is essentially frozen fruit blended with ice cream. There aren't many places like this in Seattle, so it's definitely unique and worth a try! I tried the Strawberry Blueberry Sweet Cream Blend and the Mango Strawberry Vegan Vanilla Blend, both of which were tasty, though I did wish they were a bit more fruity and tart, and less creamy. The waffle cone was a standout--really fresh since it's made in-house and absolutely delicious. I don't usually opt for the waffle cone, but I'm glad I did. I stopped by around 2pm on a Sunday, and the line was pretty long, which speaks to how popular this place is since it was still in the soft opening phase. One thing to note, though: they don't clean the machine between each blend, so you can taste remnants of the previous order. For example, the person ahead of us had something with banana, and that flavor was very prominent in our mango/strawberry "ice cream." If you're sensitive to certain flavors or to milk, I'd be cautious.

Yelp
Fairly long line after dinner on a weekday night but moved quickly. They ran out of a few flavors but everyone was super friendly. Plenty of fresh fruit flavor options.

Yelp
saw this all over my for you page, and has been bookmarked since it opened. had to try it out. line was a bit long but moved quickly. appreciated how they would pause on taking orders and catch up on existing orders to make it more efficient. i got the sweet cream base with blackberry & mango as mix ins. it was light and refreshing - not too sweet. it didn't really feel like ice cream to me though, which is why i'm giving it 4 stars. i was expecting the texture and flavor of gelato and was letdown. the outdoor patio was beautiful for summer and all the bulb lights. not sure how busy it'll be in the winter honestly. not my cup of tea imo. worth the try though

Yelp
Super long line at night but it goes by fast. vVery trendy ice cream spot that we saw on instagram. It's a very fresh taste with your choice of frozen fruit. The taste is something I could make at home but it was nice to try!
