"Light wood furnishings, arched windows and a crackle effect wall combine to create a relaxed, modern space. Run by a Tainanese catering group, this restaurant is aimed at omnivorous diners who wish to reduce their carbon footprint by forgoing meat once in a while. The lacto-ovo-vegetarian dishes are loaded with Asian spices and condiments, such as satay, Sichuan pepper and kimchi. Try the classic stir-fried king oyster mushroom with basil." - Michelin Inspector

This restaurant was overall a wonderful experience, with delicious food with a good flavour balance. We ordered the cucumber & martini, the signature fried tofu, the lions mane skewers, and the yellow curry. The first two dishes were perfect, with perfect flavours and textures. The tofu was soft inside and super crispy on the outside with a delectable sauce, and the cucumber was crisp and tasty. The skewers were perfect taste and texture wise, but were served quite cold, which was not to my liking. The flavour of the yellow curry sauce was great, but the vegetables inside were not cooked properly, all overcooked and in too large chunks, and there was way too many lemongrass pieces that could not be eaten, which made eating it a bit harder.

Vegetarian restaurants primarily selling stir fried dishes. Has a private room as well Okonomiyaki - One of the best I've had, crispy, fragrant and flavorful even without the mayonnaise. The 小炒 stir fry was quite delicious too. The stir fried eel is a pass though. The mushrooms and cabbage don't really mimick the concept of eel well to be honest. Despite it being in Tainan, the savory dishes are not sweet, so it's a plus for those who do not like their savory dishes having a sweet taste.

went there for dinner tonight, we will not go back and we will tell everyone about that. everything is kinda sour. and since this is the first time we went, we don't even know we got a wrong dish. ordered the savory stinky tofu and got a hot and sour soup instead and it cost $50 less. and they even start cleaning the restaurant while we are still eating. they definitely win the trophy of being the worst restaurant that I went during my 10 days trip in Taiwan

A little disappointing for the price. We got the set menu for 2. It came with: Green papaya salad - very healthy and fresh tasting, but was missing the punch from fish sauce that the nonvegetarian has with nothing to really replace it, so felt very plain. Okonomiyaki - this was really good. Strong seaweed flavor and great texture. Stir-fried "eel" with shiitake - good, but not what I would expect for this price point restaurant - typical 燒香菇 stir fry with thick sauce with the umami and pepper dialed up a little bit. Clay pot salted egg tofu - way too big of a portion and very boring flavor. Leaned too heavily on what tasted like corn flour-based thickening. The menu said 金沙 so I was expecting more like a 熱炒 style dish here. We barely touched this one. Desserts were two tiny popsicles. Drink was salty lemon soda (good) and honey plum roselle (way too sweet). Overall good ingredients, but compared with the other vegetarian food we had in Tainan, the flavor just wasn't there for the price point.

Hey, Owen in this restaurant. My friend and I came here for the first time. The second restaurant is so waitress agreedy with me when I require. I love to eat vegetable fire with eggs and can not eat eggs , ask for take out ,.she keeps arguing me. She does not know how to be a good waitress to sell . . Not professional service. Also, Facebook people posting online say food, so yummy it lair. Your food okays. And I spend or $13000 still not pull my stomach. You have to teach your coworkers how to be friendly and not agreeing My friend says he won't come back. Food so badly. Waitress not kind

Our visit wasnt great. As a foodie and often eating in michelin eateries, this was not a pleasure. I often find the service to be a bit pushy in Taiwan but here I didnt even had time to check the Menu, I wouldnt expect that from a Michelin suggested eatery (it doesnt hold a star). This is a minor critique. The second point was the AC was broken, in my opinion, in this climate u cant open without working AC. They had 1 fan running. Outside was 33C - inside was probably 27/28C. Not nice. Regarding the food. Papaya salad was nice. Cold tofu noodles were bland, but okay. Mapo tofu was not spicy, and a bit bland and had weird choices of veggies inside, i would expected more flavor. The sticks with lion maine and cucumber with curry flavor were totally off, and a weird Combo. Don't order, was also missing char and flavor. Overall, very disappointed from the food in Combination with not pleasant service and broken AC. Maybe we were just unlucky but this was probably the worst vegetarian food I had in Taiwan...

Very tasty! There is an English menu if you can’t speak or read Mandarin.

Great vegetarian restaurant. Beautiful plating and atmosphere and clearly the establishment focuses on balance of flavors. The cucumber and crispy skin tofu were a standout and the skewers were also good but the mushroom element could have been warmer. The yellow curry flavour was delicious but I found the bits of lemongrass difficult as they could not really be eaten.
