You cannot go wrong with the name of this place. The food HAS to be good. And it most certainly was. I had ordered the California Omeltte. It was delicious! In the picture you’ll see that it’s in a take out box. I’m sure it would’ve tasted even better if I had opted to sit down and have my meal in the restaurant. I gave 3 stars for the service because it took over 30 minutes for the food to be handed to me. Apparently it had been ready way before based on the condensation in the takeout box. It wasn’t until I asked a random waitress that she went to go look for my order. I believe if someone had taken my order, it’s their responsibility to bring it to me as the customer. I don’t think the place was busier than any other brunch place as there were plenty of seating available and people were being seated quickly. Overall, outside of the time it took for my food, the place is great and I highly recommend it.

Google
For anyone that is looking to have a nice cheat meal, this is the place to be. They have a lot of variety and a lot of fun food choices that are great to try. Especially if you have a bit of a sweet tooth like me. Prices I feel are a bit high, but at least the portion size was pretty good

Google
Ok wow! Where do I start?! Super large portion sizes here ... I would imagine that two people could easily split anything on the menu here. My meal came with a butter croissant and it was easily one of the best and freshest croissants that I've had in a long while. Super friendly staff that makes it feel like a great family restaurant. I can't wait to come back and check thisbplace out again!!

Google
Got the southern sausage stacker and the sunshine mountain french toast. Fried chicken is dry. French toast was great. Maple bacon was good but one slice is enough. The sausage stacker was lacking in sausage. Definitely get scrambled eggs since they put it all on top of each other. Gravy is fine, tasteless, but fine. Ranch is salad ranch JFYI. Got seated right away @12:30pm on a Sunday. Service was slow and a lot of high schooler/college kids working. I'd come here once every 4 months.

Google
This place is not close to my place but it was well worth the drive. The goood was fresh and delicious, the portions are a great size, and the service was good. We had a really nice server but I liked how several servers spoke to us and asked if we were okay during our visit despite the restaurant being super busy. I got lucky on parking and the restroom was in good shape also. I will definitely be returning hen I can.

Google
Had a delicious brunch with our friends here. The service was good and the food came out quickly even though it seemed like they had a full house. You certainly get your money's worth here because the portion sizes are perfect for taking some home with you. Even the kid's portions are enough to share with multiple kids.

Google
I got the garden benedict with house made fries. My garden benedict was great! The fries were seasoned well. My partner got eggs, bacon, and toast with hash browns. The hash browns were not crispy at all and very potato-y. The toast was bland. The bacon was yummy. I wish they had to twist salt and pepper grinders, but they just had a regular salt and pepper bottle. The food here is expensive, and the quality varies by the dish. Service was fast.

Google
Very nice place for breakfast or brunch. Went here with my husband and had such a good experience. We shared a savory plate of sausage, chicken tenders and waffles! Can't wait to try a new dish. Staff was polite, our server suggested this dish and gave us great service.

Yelp
I just happened upon this place. I would have been happy with a good cup of coffee & an egg. I was pleasantly surprised by the overall cleanliness, great atmosphere & the excellency of the staff that work there! They genuinely care about the details & clearly have experience in the service industry! I highly recommend you ask for Galina & Melissa! Don't miss out! Take your friends & family! ~Kerri~

Yelp
A decent place to have brunch with friends or family! Cute atmosphere, and the menu has plenty of options. I've never had problems with the taste or display of the food, it's been yummy each time- and hasn't disappointed. Many places are unable to get eggs just right, but the cooks in the back have it down solid. They include a unique twist on several of their plates you won't see elsewhere, which is great to see in breakfast spots. The servers are kind, but very quiet and sometimes a tad unattentive, but it's not a major service disappointment for me. The food is quite pricy, but many plates have side options and their portions are filling. If you're willing to spend a relatively pretty penny for a breakfast joint- it's worth giving a shot.

Yelp
Food very so-so and overpriced. Service so-so. Don't get the wide appeal of this place, very meh. We've been a few times, may go back depending on management response. Minus point: Tax included in tip calculation.

May G.

Yelp
I got the garden benedict with house made fries. The fries were delicious. My partner got eggs, bacon and toast with a side of hash browns. The hash browns were not crispy, and the toast was bland. At least the bacon was still yummy. The prices are expensive. It seems some dishes taste way better than others. Fast service. They didn't have hand grinders for the salt and pepper, just regular salt and pepper.

Morgan R.

Yelp
Great food. Consistently great service. They serve large portions, so we tried to keep it simple this time. You can't go wrong with anything you order.

Donna K.

Yelp
Not what we remember. Supposed to have donut on top and it had turnover. My pastrami had no dressing and it looked like spam meat from a can. Not on rye they only had white.

Phi H.

Yelp
Don't worry about getting overcooked scrambled eggs here. They have pros cooking in the kitchen. Highly recommend for great breakfast. Staff is friendly and attentive. Got the delicious farmers skillet with rye toast. Much needed after a nice at walk at the nearby nature preserve.

Yelp
This place is amazing ! My parents and I popped in on Saturday morning for a quick bite to eat. The food was made fresh and so delicious. No complaints! We were all full. The prices were great also. There's so many options on to menu. The service was amazing our waitress was friendly and accommodating. They also had Christmas music playing. It really set us off to a great start for the day. I can't wait to go back

Yelp
2024 Yelp 100 Challenge - #32 Service was great. Food was bland. The menu is a bit overbearing with many options to choose from. I saw photos of the mountain sunrise and was excited to give it a try. Ordered Sunrise Mountain French Toast - It comes with french toast strawberries, whipped cream, chicken tenders, bacon, and a donut that is not made in house. To me the strawberries made the french toast to mushy and the chicken tenders were bland. I only ate a few bites out of my food because it just wasn't the best.

Yelp
I visited Maple Bacon Restaurant on a busy Sunday for breakfast and brunch. After placing our order, we waited 40 minutes before checking with our waiter about our food. He quickly went to the kitchen and discovered they were experiencing network issues, so our order hadn't been processed. Despite the initial delay, the waiter was extremely courteous, apologizing multiple times and even offering us a discount for the inconvenience. We ordered the corned beef skillet and the Cambridge, and both dishes were good with generous portions. Overall, it was a decent experience. The excellent service and tasty food made up for the initial hiccup. We'll likely give it another try, hopefully on a less busy day.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting Maple Bacon! It had a lot of good ratings so I decided to check it out. Ambiance: There is a jam packed environment here. Theres lots of people and lots of movement. There is medium lighting and a lot of different seating options. We got to seat quickly as we chose to sit at the bar. Service: The service was terrible. They were not friendly nor accommodating. They hardly checked up on us and we had to call the server over every time we needed something. Wheelhouse: This dish came with everything. Bacon, sausage, pancakes, eggs, your choice of bread. The only good thing about this dish was the sausage. The eggs are flavorless. The bacon was small and not great. The pancakes were just not good at all. The food here is not great the service was not the best either.

Yelp
Definitely recommend this place food and service is great . We had a table of 8 and everyone liked what was ordered. We definitely go back soon.

Brenda M.

Yelp
Very good breakfast brunch lunch food. Be prepared to wait for a table. I especially like the poutine and the croque monsieur waffles.

Michelle T.

Yelp
It was so good the food that everyone order was amazing! I got the pumpkin pancakes and it came with a piece of pumpkin pie on top it was the best. Another person ordered the Chilaquiles so good . Blueberry pancakes great. All four of the children enjoy their meals no complaint ! The service was great we were on a time schedule and only had a hour for 10 people so they were very accommodating and set us up with two tables one for kids and one for adults it was perfect. If I lived here it could be dangerous it is so good.

Eliza J.

Yelp
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! This was our fisrt time eating here and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. EVERYTHING came out hot and seasoned perfectly. Jorge (our server) was absolutely wonderful, attentive and made great recommendations. FYI everything is good. The owner came over and greeted us and has a wonderful personality. The menu is expansive, tables are well spaced and if you are into alcohol, there are plenty of options to choose from. We are definitely coming back!!

Albert G.

Yelp
Having visited this restaurant twice, I can recommend the great food! Whether it is for a midday meal or a post-church meals the atmosphere is inviting and the service is always friendly and knowledgeable. Please see the attached photos for the food that we have received. Also, the mimosas are good as well.

Leo M.

Yelp
Nice place on the West side of Plano food was good service was a little slow but not bad. I was probably most disappointed that my chicken bacon waffle didn't include a donut how it appeared in other photos I saw instead a flaky pastry that wasn't really very tasty. It's not a bad place I might try some other menu items my next visit

David B.

Yelp
We had an early birthday breakfast for my daughter. We were so lucky to have Ingrid there to help us. She was so pleasant and so sweet such amazing service. We had a little tiny request and she absolutely just crushed it and made the breakfast so wonderful. The food was amazing but every time that I go I will be asking for Ingrid.

Bill U.

Yelp
While I was not happy with my miga's (almost all corn chips) my wife loved her pancakes. The service was great and the coffee was dark and tasty. The restaurant was wide open but a bit on the cold side.

Tabitha H.

Yelp
Oh my! I happened upon this place and boy am I glad I did. I got the build your own omlette with bacon onion tomato and cheddar cheese for my side I got Windsor Poutine Fries. The bacon stole the show. It was thick and robust with flavor. The poutine fries were a slight upcharge but I enjoyed every bite. The waitress was super friendly and offered great service.

Caron C.

Yelp
The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because our waitress Gabrielle, was great and had to deal with not only me but the couple behind us whom I kept hearing- "it's not your fault". I hadn't been to Maple Bacon in a few years and we were in the area craving breakfast and that "thick" Canadian bacon. My hubby ordered the pastrami something and was happy with that. I ordered a well done California omelette- extra crispy hash browns and Canadian bacon. My omelette was runny and my extra crispy hash browns were brown on one side and totally white throughout. I sent both back because that's not what I asked for. 2nd round was not much better. Omelette was still a bit runny and tasteless with grease lining the plate. The second round of hash browns looked a bit more cooked but again very chewy white on the inside. Guessing they were frozen hash browns and there's not much you can do to crispy them up. We came in for Canadian bacon. That wasn't the thick yummy bacon I remember. Generally tasted like something I would fry up from Walmart. As you can see a 15 plus dollar breakfast was wasted. Our bill was 41 dollars and tax- not including the 20 percent tip. YEAH-- big disappointment. Big NO!!

Irina V.

Yelp
Very very slow service. Food is fine, no complaints, but perhaps more serving staff is needed there.

Debria J.

Yelp
This place was great! Very popular and crowded! The food was good and big portions. The service was good as well. The blueberry pancakes, waffle stack, and grits were to die for!

Diana C.

Yelp
This is our go to spot for breakfast after church. I've had several Omelettes and every one of them are delicious. My friend loves the Strawberry cheesecake french toast

Gabriella S.

Yelp
I have come back in several times since dining here. It easily became one of my favorite places for breakfast/lunch. Tried the new chilaquiles and they were so filling and delicious. Service was friendly, like always. Definitely give them a try, worth the try for the value to portion that you get.

Camellia M.

Yelp
If you're looking for a breakfast/brunch spot with really good food, try this place. For years I've passed by it and never thought much. Enjoyed brunch here and while it was extraordinary busy, the wait time for a table was only about 20 minutes. The portions are a decent size, the food is flavorful, staff about average. This will be my new go to brunch spot.

Shebeeamazing ..

Yelp
I tried to like this place. We tried it 3 times and just got worse. My last order I got the texas style French toast with scrambled eggs, bacon and hash browns. The French toast was barely coated in egg was in inside was just regular bread. The eggs were ok, bacon had a strange grease taste and the hash browns were freezer burnt. NEVER AGAIN!

Susie M.

Yelp
They have potato pancakes!!!! My server, Alicia, was super sweet and tried to find a way to input my order to save me money. It's a cute place and they're onion rings are made in house so I'll be back to try them. Oh, the website on here is wrong. This is the correct one: https://maplebaconplano.com/

Paula C.

Yelp
Service was great. Our waiter was efficient and fast and so very nice. Food came out fast and hot. The food was spectacular. Giant portions with amazing flavor. Love that my pancakes came with a donut.

Yelp
Stop for breakfast after walking the trail near by at Arbors Hills Nature Preserve. Delicious food ! The buffalo chicken poutine was better than I expected ! Food portion is shareable ! We also got the maple bacon fried steak waffles. Presentation was beautiful and the food also tasted great ! Great service and atmosphere.

Jeff M.

Yelp
The app won't just let me say Bacon. Ok, when o I say the bacon is the reason why I went and had 40 other things to pick from on the breakfast menu, I still added more bacon, you can add a side of bacon and still not get enough of their delicious bacon, The place was just starting to get busy at 8:20 so get there early. The restaurant was really clean for me and the bacon. The coffee was good, and also went nice with the bacon. K ok k get that bacon!!

Mark F.

Yelp
Middle of the road in food, service and value. A solid 2.5. The wait for a table at 1:30p on a Sunday was quoted at 25min and they were about spot on. Seated at 2:00p in a bright, open, and loud dinning hall. Nothing special about the booths or tables. Not cramped so easy to maneuver. Service was fine. Nothing special. The bare minimum. Drinks showed up 15min after seated and food 30min after. All acceptable. The Ruben rye was dry but good pastrami. The fries were dirty like like them but not hot. Just like warm. We also had the Canadian breakfast which was huge and came with French toast that was fluffy. The price was on late with the quality and amount of food. I was surprised to see the automatic tip on the POS was set to 25%. This was not a 25% experience. With other breakfast choices in the area, even the same parking lot, you have options. For me I'll take them in hopes for more than a 2.5/5.0 eating experience.

Yelp
Stopped by for breakfast this morning after a Dr's appointment nearby. First time to stop in. We were greeted immediately when we walked in and seated. Kenneth, our server, went over the menu and explained everything. We started with coffee and a latte. They were delicious. My husband had the Manchester, with scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, and toast, I had the Texas French toast with over easy eggs and bacon. We also tried a side of grits. Everything was hot and delicious!! There was plenty of food. Melissa, another server, was very cordial and friendly. She and Kenneth checked on us frequently. The bathrooms were convenient and clean. There's plenty of parking available too. Great place for breakfast!

Michelle G.

Yelp
I went here for brunch with a friend. It was a disappointing experience. The food looked great, but the potatoes and meat on my dish were over cooked. The biscuit was also overcooked and crunchy. The eggs were perfectly cooked and tasted good. The potato cakes were too think and not crispy at all. The pastry had whipped cream and was put on our table along with our food. By the time we tried it, the whipped cream was runny and it tasted unremarkable but incredibly sweet. Our service was mediocre. I ran out of soda and it took quite a while for a refill. This restaurant used to be much better. My hope is that this was a bad day and not the new norm.

Beverly G.

Yelp
Food was horrible! We asked for runny very soft poached eggs on our Benedict's. Instead we got hard poached - very cold eggs after waiting a very long time. Food was inedible. Nice waitress; however, when we told her about our order she did not offer to make it right and was more concerned that we knew she put the order in right. I'm sure she did, but that fact did not make the food better! And at these prices - we will not be back. I literally could not eat the food.

Polina T.

Yelp
Came by for Sunday brunch yesterday, and did not leave disappointed. I tried their crab cake Benedict and it was pretty tasty. My fiancé got the Philly cheese steak omelet and French toast. Overall, a pleasant experience. We got seated quickly, and our waitresses were sweet and served us in a timely manner. The restaurant itself is spacious, clean, and family-friendly. They have mimosas and other simple drinks to choose from, as well :)

Trisha A.

Yelp
Let me preface by saying that after my last breakfast place and disappointing experience I had set my expectations lower to prepare myself. What a colossal mistake. This place blew the previous experience out of the not just the water but the ocean! Pricing was similar but the food was significantly better. Portion sizes made me feel like I was getting more than I should. And even though they were packed, my food came out quickly and was nice and hot. You could easily tell this is a local favorite. Staff is friendly and attentive. Noise level moderate given all of the patrons. Music was at a reasonable volume. And you can pay by scanning the QR code on your bill. I'm definitely coming back and I'm bringing reinforcements to help me finish my plate.

Ray F.

Yelp
Super friendly and helpful service, huge menu, great tasting quality food, reasonable prices and really nice décor! This is where you need to come for breakfast/brunch! It is easy to find as it is right on the corner! Plenty of parking! Take out or dine in. Plenty of seating if you need to wait! I had the chicken fried steak and eggs with pancakes (plus a side of bacon since I had been out exercising down the street). Seriously, this is a REALLY good chicken fried steak with perfecting breading and pretty good white gravy. The pancakes were really good! I'll be back, I'm sure!

Jill R.

Yelp
I got takeout and the service was good, the eggs were okay, and the sausage was overcooked a little. But the biggest problem I have is the French toast did not have enough batter on it. So whoever made the French toast only lightly battered it because it was mainly just whatever bread they use and then basically brushed with batter but not Dunked in the batter. And if it was a thinner slice of bread that probably would have been okay. But their bread slices are thick which is good, but not when you don't put enough batter on the bread. If the bread had actually been dumped in the batter it would have tasted much better.

Rob W.

Yelp
In my recent visits, the servers have all been friendly, and their traditional breakfasts have been so tasty. I would highly recommend, and plan to return often.

Andrew L.

Yelp
Service is too slow. Quick to get your order but it's almost as if they have 1 cook it takes FOREVER to get your food.

Alisha D.

Yelp
I really enjoyed visiting here. The decor was "industrial farmhouse" and it was spacious. I was seated quickly and the server was attentive and pleasant. The portion sizes are Texas sized so one entree is more than enough. You may not need an appetizer. I had shrimp and grits. My one piece of constructive feedback is that spinach should be used instead of green beans but overall it was delicious. I plan to be back.

Randal M.

Yelp
The food is excellent, but get ready to pay a premium price at this restaurant. Nothing is cheap, but the food is awesome.

Tracy V.

Yelp
I enjoyed the pastry and chicken but wasn't a huge fan of the French toast. The service was good.

Victoria E.

Yelp
Stopped by for late breakfast while in neighbor. Tiki hubby and I shared the country breakfast- chicken fried steak, 2 eggs, biscuit, and 2 pancakes. Food was cooked perfectly and great flavor. Creamy gravy, crispy coating on CFS and best biscuit I have had in awhile. Pancakes where good not great as I like mine more vanillaiey, but they where fluffy. Service was great kept our drinks filled, and checked on us regularly. Restaurant is clean and open concept.

Drake A.

Yelp
Good food, friendly service, huge portions. I got a tower of food. It probably took a few years off my life span but it was worth it. Bring two stomachs.

Lauren B.

Yelp
I've been to Maple Bacon a handful of times, and it's pretty decent for breakfast/brunch. I would highly recommend their banana foster pancakes! They have a lot of unique dishes here with large portion sizes. The service is always good and if there is a wait, it goes by fast. The interior isn't decorated as well as other brunch places in the area, but if that doesn't matter to you, I think it's a great option! I wish they had hashbrowns (instead of potato pancakes that aren't that good imo).

Santanu S.

Yelp
I have not eaten here since the pandemic when The Wheelhouse was both the day's special and an item on the regular menu. After browsing the menu, I ended up ordering The Wheelhouse again. In a game of Spot the Differences, rather than a croissant and homemade jam, I got nothing this time. Also, the French pastry wheel looked less French as a glazed donut was selected. My waitress did a good job of making sure my coffee mug was filled. May be it was due to the International Delight non-dairy creamer, but this particular brand tasted better than usual compared to other restaurants.

Grant M.

Yelp
The food is very good, the service needs to be tightened up a little. Great breakfast place.
