My daughter and I have food allergies. We are allergic to dairy and all grains. I told the waitress this. Still we were served mashed potatoes made with milk which I removed from our plates immediately upon being served. While ordering I was asked if lightly flouring my fish was ok (no, it's not, bc presumably she meant w/ wheat flour), and after serving us our main dishes the waitress rushed over to give us bread (uh, we don't eat bread!)!!! Further, I ordered a steak for my daughter "medium-rare to medium, but definitely NOT rare," and my daughter's steak was rare (read not properly cooked, and a meat thermometer not used) and covered in a mushroom sauce. That said, the star of our dishes was the red cabbage sauerkraut served on the side! The broccoli was plain (what? not even some seasoning?) and the turnips the same. Meh. I order the fish of the day (Pompano w/ crabmeat), which I ordered grilled. It was ok, but no lemon slice to squeeze over it. I grabbed the lemon slice served with my water to give my grilled fish and dry crabmeat some flavor. It was ok-ish. Not impressed at all, and the restaurant's attitude towards food allergies was close to a complete failure. That said, I had a terrible stomach ache later in the evening that tells me that something I'm allergic to was included in my meal.
