Coal-Fired Cuban Cuisine is the Star at Brickell Newcomer Marabu | Eater Miami

"Located on the fourth floor of Brickell City Centre, Marabu (701 S Miami Avenue) is a swanky new Cuban eatery from chef Alberto Cabrera and V&E Restaurant Group that debuts with josper-grilled Cuban cuisine and tropical cocktails in an upscale setting. I note Cabrera—who helped open popular South Florida spots like Bread + Butter, Little Bread Cuban Sandwich Co., and The Local Craft Food + Drink—has composed a menu of large-format meats, rice, vegetables, and seafood that ranges from Cuban classics such as vaca frita, ham croquetas, Cuban sandwiches, and a tabletop Caja China to more modern plates like charcoal roasted black grouper with piperade, English pea puree and roasted lemon, and salt cured short rib with aporiado sauce. The bar program offers an extensive to-go and dine-in cocktail menu featuring a rum-based Old Fashioned, a passionfruit mojito, and large-format cocktails sized for 6–8 guests. Inspired by Cuban cities like Camagüey and Pinar del Rio, the space centers on a Havana-inspired bar and mixes rustic elements with bright, colorful accents plus an outdoor pergola reminiscent of “el campo.” It opens next Monday, June 29, will operate daily (11:30 a.m.–10 p.m. Sunday–Thursday; 11:30 a.m.–11 p.m. Friday–Saturday), has bar happy hour Monday–Thursday from 5–7 p.m., and offers takeout menus." - Olee Fowler

This Cuban restaurant was an absolute gem! The food was bursting with flavor. Every bite tasted like it was made with love and tradition. From the tender pernil to the perfectly seasoned black beans and rice, everything was spot on. The ambience added so much to the experience….warm, vibrant, and full of energy, just like Cuba itself. But what really made the night unforgettable was our server. Attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the menu, they went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious Cuban cuisine in a place that feels both lively and welcoming. Will definitely be back!

Google
Just look at this. This is the creative, delicious, perfectly cooked, flavor filled experience you can expect here. Not to mention 5 star service and attentiveness from Marcia. She was great, very charismatic, charming and full of great recommendations, especially if you are not familiar with the cuisine. This is well worth this visit, nothing our table had was 4 stars or below, ALL 5 STARS!

K S.

Google
Marcia was our server. She was AMAZING! Marcia explained every thing on the menu! Marabu restaurant decor is stunning! Kitchen is viewable and all work like a well oiled machine. Food presentation top tier and taste is 5 star!!! A must restaurant to visit and eat at whether you live in Miami or just visiting. 5 ⭐️ Viva Cuba 🇨🇺!

Google
Great food, Cindy recommended us awesome food and deserts. Great atmosphere, bar/grill setting with tvs outside patio. Found this place day before going on a cruise, Cindy’s service and friendliness made us come back after the cruise before heading home. Highly recommended.

Google
Don't miss it if you're in Miami! Everything in this restaurant is extraordinary: the food, the service, the portions, the atmosphere. All dishes were incredibly good: perfect portions, fresh ingredients, and amazing presentation. The roasted half-chicken was juicy and flavorful. The moro rice and the plantain were crazy good.

Google
Ok, I'm shocked. I've eaten ar Cuban spots all over the Miami area, and I cannot tell you how disappointed I've been. Not that they're bad, but none of them have compelled me to write a review...until now. Marabu delivers a powerful punch. Everything was on point: the mojito was made perfectly, the vaca frita was crispy and tasty, the black beans and rice were perfect, and the maduros were fresh and deliciously sweet. Tony, my server at the bar, was excellent and made the evening even better. The ambience of the spot, albeit on the 4th floor of City Center mall, was fun, vibrant and memorable. I will be back, and can't wait to try more!

Google
We came here for lunch & had a wonderful meal! Laisha & Marcia were our waitresses and both were very attentive & gave great food/drink recommendations. The pork we ordered was a little overcooked, but overall the food was tasty.

Google
It was great food and service. Hose was in charge of our table and we were satisfied his service. He is friendly and kind. 🙂 The mood in restaurant is so nice.

Yelp
Marcia was amazing. Food was fresh and hot Great wine recommendation Noise level was good. You could still hold a conversation

Yelp
Taste: Tried the Salmon, Chicken Soup, and Tomato Salad. First bites were pretty good, but the more I ate, the more salty it started tasting. Halfway through, it became unpalatable because everything was just too salty. Service: Incredibly slow. Took about an hour from when we ordered to when we finally got our food. Ambiance: Inside tables might've been better, but we were seated on the very edge of the outdoor area, which didn't leave a a very wide gap for the walkway. Mall-goers would be walking maybe a foot away from where I was sitting. No parking validation.

Yelp
Everything from the service to the food phenomenal. The empanadas were really good and the octopus was cooked to perfection, it was like they caught it morning of, so soft and the eggplant to accompany it was just a chefs kiss. I don't know what they put in the egg plant but WOW. It was so good Ribeye didn't feel like 18oz but nonetheless it was still good. I'm not sure if I'd order again. My three sides were plantains, fries, and yucca. The yucca here is definitely different that what I've had in the past. The texture was similar to a mozzarella stick lol Plantains were sweet and so good! Octopus and Eggplant: 10/10!! Empanadas: 8/10! Ribeye: 7/10! Fries: 3/10 Yucca: 5/10 Plantains: 7.5/10 Service: 8/10

Yelp
The food was unfortunately a huge disappointment despite the good presentation. The ceviche and salmon tartare were good (6.5/10), the beef ribs were well presented but not good at all: not flavorful, and overcooked and rubbery, burned our hands and surely much too expensive for such poor quality (1.5/10). The ribeye was also well presented but just average at best. Also extremely overpriced for what you get (5.5/10). The grouper was cooked well but had no flavor. Very bland (3/10). The Cuban Old-Fashioned was superb (8.5/10) Our server was very nice and amicable. The music is pretty loud but if you like EDM you'll enjoy. But I think in a Cuban restaurant the music should match its food.

Yelp
Wow! Coal-fired Cuban cuisine is unique and flavorful. The smoked masas de puerco was presented over charcoal. It was tender and tasty. The delicious Marabu Mule had the addition of guava. We also enjoyed the Marabu Ceviche with citrus marinated fish and shrimp, crispy corn nuggets and sweet potato chips. Marcia provided the best service. We appreciated her educating us on Cuban food. The ambience gave us a taste of Havana.

Yelp
Everything here was delicious! Service was fast and wonderful. Ambiance is cute however the restaurant Is not too big. Drinks were also great.

Yelp
Best happy hour in an outdoor mall. On top of the great shopping Brickell Center has , they also have some great restaurants to dine in once you get hungry and those restaurants all have great happy hours but Miami is known for having great Cuban food so I'm gonna do Marabu. The mojitos were amazing and the food was too. I went on a Wednesday at 4 pm and got some nice outdoor seating to enjoy my apps. I also had the steak but honestly those sweet plantains stole the show for me as well as those tostones.

Yelp
Look, I like Marabu - I wouldn't have given this restaurant 4 stars if I didn't. Food is good, drinks are well-made and the service we've received has been decent (though not overly attentive). As a bonus, they have large flat screen TVs at the bar and also at the far ends of the dining area in front of the main entrance for watching sports and other programming. That said, while the tagline for this restaurant is "Coal Fired Cuban Cuisine", do know that if you're looking for a truly authentic Cuban dining experience, Marabu shouldn't really be high on your list. Again, I like this place, but with things like Norwegian salmon, Korean short ribs and lots of wines from France and Italy on the menu, this really is more of a restaurant that's meant to serve the masses of people, including lots of tourists, who pour through Brickell City Center mall where Marabu is located. Come here for a solid dining experience with good food in a nice atmosphere with interesting Cuban-inspired decor. If you're looking a place that has a menu filled only with truly authentic Cuban food, there are many other Miami-area restaurants that are a much better fit, and most of them come at a lower pricepoint, too.

Yelp
Dined at Marabu for Valentines Day! We had a good dinner, the service was so great. We started with a cucumber salad that was my favorite dish we ordered and also the sweet potato, it was so deliciously sweet and salty! For dinner I ordered the ribeye and my fiancé ordered the Churasco. We both enjoyed our steak and the avocado side we got was so yummy. The only complaint I would have is my ribeye came out on a hot stone, I like my steak rare. As I started to eat it, it got more and more cooked to the point where it was too cooked. I ended up taking it off and putting it on a normal plate. My fiancé liked his Churrasco and moros. For dessert we ordered the Cuatro leches, it was good but I thought it would be better. This is a spot we are glad we tried but we probably won't be back.

Yelp
Great service and drinks were on point the fresh sugar cane was a nice touch. The Cuban sandwich was on point. The French toast desert was good too nit too wet. The jasper chicken could use some seasoning

Yelp
First time having Cuban food and it was amazing!!! Our server Ayeli went over the menu and made great suggestions for appetizers drinks and food. She made sure we were happy with everything we got and was excited we were having Cuban food for the first time at Marabu. This will be a must stop anytime we are in Florida.

Yelp
Great Cuban option on the top floor of Brickell City Centre. Cuban sandwich was outstanding but pricey (this ain't the cheap part of town papi : ). Service was sweet and prompt. Ambience is loud but classy, and try to sit outside for the people watching.

Yelp
SKIP THIS PLACE FOR MIAMI SPICE (and probably in general). TLDR: The food was raw, bland, burnt and dry. The service was not worth 18% auto gratuity. They gave us the check before our last course came. My friends and I were going to the mall and decided to try this place out for Miami Spice since none of us have tried this place yet. The first course was fine. My friends and I got the BCC salad and one got the plantain one. The second course was a disaster. The pan con bistec I got was flavorless and dry. Half of the things that were listed that were going to be on the sandwich were not there. The bread was terrible. I barely ate it. One friend got the ropa vieja and she said even though it was in the sauce it was really dry. My 2 friends ordered the salmon bowl got it the worst. The presentation of it looked really beautiful but they cut into it and the salmon was RAW. It took a while to get the waiter's attention and they got new food but it was WORST this time. It was burnt on the outside AND raw on the inside. The server said he would talk to the manager to come speak to us but then handed us the check before serving the last course. We ordered both the sorbet and abuelta's torrejas. Sorbet was fine and torrejas I really could have done without. It seemed like anything that needed to be cooked was inedible. When the manager finally did come, he looked at the salmon and said it was "cooked medium rare". Ok, nobody comes to a restaurant to eat MEDIUM RARE SALMON. It's not a steak. I can understand the struggle of Miami restaurants and restaurants in general but this obscenely poor service and god awful food is not worth paying for. So if this is what they're giving, they should be shuttering. This is the worst first impression of this restaurant and I'll NEVER eat there again. My friend didn't even make it out of the mall before she had to use the toilet after eating the salmon. This is your only warning, diners. EAT ELSEWHERE!! Go to Motek across the way.

Yelp
Terrific food, atmosphere, service in a lovely (pretty noisy) hoppin' vibe. Due to Miami Saturday night traffic, we were WAY late for our 7:30 pm reservation. The hostess gave us a teeny table for our party of six, and then moved us to a larger table when one opened up. Loved the meal, big portions, choice of three delicious sides. Cooked perfectly with innovative presentation. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Arrived in Miami later on a Friday night and our hotel concierge recommended Marabú- we were not disappointed. I grew up in a Cuban household and this place brought me home to my grandmothers cooking, but while enjoying an airy, colorful and vibrant space. Our waiter Joao was friendly and provided excellent service. Overall this Marabú delivered an excellent dining experience.

Yelp
This place is so cute. Interior is done so well. Restaurant is very clean given how busy this place was. We walked in without reservations and were seated immediately. Jorge was our server and he was just the best. Patient with our nut allergies, he took time out to go over the ingredients of the yummy Cuban sandwhich we ordered. The sandwhich was huge, perfect to share. Extremely juicy and flavorful. It comes with fries but we opted for salad as the fry oil had peanuts due to cross contamination. We also had the side of yuca fries and were not disappointed. Price point based on the location was on the higher end. Great beverage list with alot of options. Overall great experience and we would revisit for sure.

Yelp
Great appetizers, good mains, but service and charges could be clearer. We recently dined at Marabu in Brickell and overall had a good experience, though there were a couple of hiccups. The appetizers really stole the show--everything we tried was excellent. The empanadas were crispy and flavorful, the ceviche was super fresh, and the truffle Yukon potatoes were a hit with everyone at the table. I highly recommend starting your meal with any (or all!) of these. For mains, we ordered a variety--an off-menu stew, the ribeye, and the grouper. All were good, but honestly, the apps set such a high bar that the entrees, while solid, didn't quite measure up to the starters. One issue that stood out: the ribeye was ordered medium and confirmed to be pink inside, but it arrived well done. I sent it back, and the hostess agreed with me right away, which I appreciated. They brought out a new steak about 15 minutes later, but by then, the timing of our meal felt off. It would have been nice to see a manager come by or get a small gesture--like a complimentary coffee or dessert--to acknowledge the inconvenience, but nothing was offered. The kitchen staff seemed indifferent, which took away from the hospitality. Another point to note: Maradu adds a mandatory 18% service charge to the bill, which I expected in Miami. However, the bill also recommended an additional 3-7% tip (5% was highlighted). This turns a regular tip into more than 25% once you do the math, which felt excessive. When I asked about it, our server said the service charge "isn't for me," which made things feel a little uncomfortable and left me confused about who's actually getting what. Transparency on this would really help. All in all, the food is definitely worth trying, especially the appetizers. I'd still recommend Maradu for a night out, but just be aware of the service charge and double-check your bill before tipping extra.

Yelp
Steak was tender and flavorful. Their menu doesn't show what's gluten free, but please do stop by and ask if needed. Our server, Carlos, was very helpful with my allergy and our table loved him. It's a chill place and the music is allows us to carry a conversation. Their mojitos are on point!
google avatar

Zaneta R.

Yelp
I always enjoy their happy hour drinks . Not the biggest fan of their bar bites. But their cocktails do not disappoint ! So happy they use the same recipe as their regular priced cocktails !

Yelp
The steak was top notch! Came out on a hot plate. The service was good he recommended the steak, he was quick and attentive. The ambience was great, great mixes of modern music. Top tier experience, food and service.

Yelp
This place has really good food, and our server Geraldine was nothing short of fantastic. She did an excellent job of explaining the menu and made some fantastic recommendations. The ambiance here has an intimate setting, and the lighting can set the mood for a great date night or an entertaining family dinner. The drinks were delicious and had a great flavor. Plus, it didn't hurt that the bartender didn't skimp on the alcohol lol The location was a little confusing to get to, but the overall building and area were nice and in a huge mall setting. The ONLY knock I have on this place was that there were a few gnats flying around, and one got into my drink. Thankfully, Geraldine was an excellent waitress and replaced my drink as soon as she saw that I was scanning the drink for it. I'd definitely recommend this place and would come back in the future!

Yelp
The food was delicious, the ambiance of Marabu felt relaxing. Wonderful place to come with a group or on a date. Our service Jorge was hospitable and knowledgeable of the food and drink menu. Would recommend friends and family to come.

Yelp
The food was really good. The atmosphere was awesome. The service was excellent. My friend and I shared the Cuban sandwich. It was very delicious. And my other friend got the ceviche I would go back there again. Ps I like it how it surrounded like a a Big shopping mall

Yelp
Our first meal in Miami was at Marabu, and it really was the perfect way to introduce ourselves to the city! Since we aren't local, we were unfamiliar with the layout of Brickell City Center and had a little trouble finding the restaurant, but once we found it all was good! We sat indoors at the hopes that it would be air conditioned, but there was enough openness to the outdoor area that it was still stifling inside where we were. This was unfortunate since it was exceptionally hot during our visit, but we managed. The food was good enough to counteract that flaw lol. Our server was really nice and very helpful when we asked for recommendations. The food also came out fairly fast (note that were were dining here a bit early by Miami standards I think, around 5:30pm. We started out by sharing the tostones rellenos and got the combo so we could try all three fillings (pork, beef, and shrimp). They were all really tasty! I tried (per the recommendation of our server) the masas de puerco al carbon which was roasted pork chunks with garlic and onions. I also modified my side dishes based on her suggestion and got moro rice and yuca fries instead of the traditional plain yuca. First off, the presentation was a lot of fun with it coming to the table on a little grill and still smoking. I used a small side plate to make it easier to eat the pork by removing it from the grill so I could cut it. It was DELICIOUS! So succulent and flavorful. I was so sad that I got full and couldn't finish every last bite of it. The moro rice and yuca fries were the perfect accompaniments. Both were tasty and well-seasoned. Again, I couldn't finish them either but if I went back I would happily order this exactly the same way. I definitely recommend Marabu if you want really tasty Cuban food in this neighborhood.

Yelp
We chose Marabu for our team dinner and we had a lot of happy faces around the table!! The restaurant is well located and the service staff were outstanding. The cocktails and the food (appetisers and mains) were great. Thank you for the great experience

Haojie Z.

Yelp
Took us over an hour to get food, and it was way too salty compared to nearby places. for the price you would think the service would at least match a cracker barrel or apple bees, but no dice. The table lights were cute though and ambience was nice, but you can get that at plenty of other places too.
google avatar

Meg C.

Yelp
Very tasty Cuban food, okay service that was a bit deceptive (water is $9 with no mention of cost, multiple reviewers mentioned this months ago and they're still doing it) and slow, and nice ambiance. I had the lechon asado lunch special with a Hatuey beer to wash it down. The chicken soup was simple, but quite good with that homemade freshness and lime to add some brightness. The lechon asado was really tasty - the pork was so tender and delicious with the fat and mojo sauce, and smelled incredible. The moro rice and yuca with the zip of vinegary onions was very flavorful. The entire meal was delicious and very filling and the Hatuey was a nice pairing. Service was a bit slow, and a touch deceptive. It wasn't super busy on a weekday after the lunch rush. I knew better to ask for tap water instead of biting on the "still or sparkling" (no mention of $9 cost up front). I dined solo, and it took quite awhile to get my drink and for them to take my order. Felt a bit ignored since grat is already included, and the table next to me was larger and was getting a lot more attention from the same server who kept walking past me. I also had to ask for the lunch special menu, which is what brought me there in the first place from looking online. I know servers want a bigger tip, but please do better. They press you on giving a review when they drop the bill, so here's my honest review.

Yelp
Awesome stop for dinner at Marabú! We were quickly sat by the manager outside with the other guests right away. I was dying for another Ropa Vieja bowl and while my group and I made it in time for happy hour, we were able to try some new appetizers that were nicely priced during our visit. My highlights had to be those flavorful and meaty ropa vieja empanadas (you can tell what my favorite Cuban food is) that was served with chimichurri! The tuna tostones had a diverse makeup of sauces & textures but I wasn't the biggest fan. The bowl itself is a mix of the meat, veggies, rice and plantains and always my go to! You have to try Cuban and a Cuban restaurant of course! We had some great cocktails and our server Geraldine was very personable and friendly. They had a nice flavored lychee cocktail and other flavored mojitos. I wanted to sit inside for some air conditioning but the manager (I am assuming?) was not very friendly and we just kind of accepted sitting outside and seeing the nice view of the mall from the 4th floor of the Brickell City Centre. The inside is very well decorated and pretty, however. I look forward to checking out this beautiful, local restaurant again soon!

Yelp
Great service and portion sizes. Not all dishes were a hit (would skip the salmon) but loved their steak and ribeye, croquette appetizers.

Yelp
Visited for Miami Spice. My mom and I enjoyed the Lively, nice ambiance, right in the middle of Brickell city center! The menu for Miami Spice was great. My mom and and I both ordered mocktails which we enjoyed. My mom got a plantain dish that she enjoyed but it was burnt which was a bummer. The Yuka fries were tasty. And the chicken was really juicy but a bit undersalted in my opinion. Desserts were nothing really to write home about but the service was really good. But I do plan on coming back to try things outside the Miami spice menu.

Yelp
The food was incredibly flavorful, the drinks were delicious and refreshing, service was warm and welcoming and the atmosphere was vibrant. Perfect for date night and families!

Yelp
Wanted to have good quality traditional Cuban food and Marabu was the place to do it. It definitely was a meal that I had to put myself out of ny comfort zone for. But tasted delicious nonetheless. I appreciated that the waitress was patient as I tried to order the food in Spanish (I don't speak Spanish). The food came quickly and I lovedd the decor. Super cute. I'm not a fan of pork but had to try traditional dishes so had some croquettes de pollo (chicken croquettes), trio mix tostones and a pork based entree that comes with Moro rice and yuca (masas de puerco al carbon) They were all really good and the yuca is the best yuca I've ever had. Ended the meal with a yummy cuatro leches Had a great time. The service was quick, food was good and the service was good.

Yelp
My friend and I came for the lunch specials only to pay far more than we expected. I feel SCAMMED by our server, Arianna who asked us if we wanted WATER and failed to tell us that "flat water" was $9 a bottle! Of course we had to get water because the food was almost unbearably salty. We also had to pay a mandatory 18% service fee for a party of 2. I had their MASAS DE PUERCO AL CARBON $24 - Roasted Cuban pork chunks with crispy garlic & onions. Served with moro rice & yuca. The pork is coal fire cooked, which is their specialty. It's a good portion and flavor, but it is very much on the salty side. The little grill they put on the table is also very smokey, so I do not recommend if your eyes are sensitive to smoke. The saving grace was the yuca which was perfectly cooked to a soft texture and well-flavored. I also liked that they gave us plantain chips as a free side. My friend had the $19 Vaca Frito de Pollo. She wanted the salad but was served soup. The chicken was also well-flavored but quite salty.

Yelp
Me gustó mucho, volvería a ir y lo recomiendo. El pescado fue mi favorito. La decoración está bien bonita.

Yelp
Great ambiance, food, and customer service! The server was very thorough and detailed, always topping up our drinks and helping to keep the table clean. In addition, it was pleasant how many other employees checked in throughout the meal asking us how the food is and whatnot.

Yelp

Yelp
Our server, Jorge, elevated our experience here. He was exceptional and took great care of us offering helpful suggestions, being observant and accommodating by changing the TV channel per my request. We took his word and ordered the Tasajo over Tamal en Cazuela, it was amazing. We also ordered the Masas de Cerdo al Carbon which was just as filling. You will find familiar Cuban dishes with a higher end twist at this restaurant.

Yelp
We found Marabu on Yelp and figured we'd give it a try since it was close to our hotel and it had good reviews. So we decided to dine in for lunch on a Friday afternoon. It was located at Brickwell City Center and had some really nice decor, which gave it a very modern ambiance. My husband and I decided to share: Marabu ceviche - I honestly can't quite remember what was in it since I can't find it on their menu online anymore. It was one of their recommended items. It was pretty good and well done. Boniato al carbon - charred roasted Cuban sweet potato with butter. I wasn't a huge fan of this and I typically LOVE sweet potato. The sweet potato wasn't really sweet and I didn't really get any hints of butter in this. Masas de puerco al carbon - roasted pork chunks with crispy garlic and onions with moro rice and yuca. I loved the presentation of this dish! They gave it to you on top of a little grill that keeps it warm! The meat was pretty good and tender. It wasn't as flavorful as I would have hoped but eating it with the fatty pieces helped. The moro rice seemed like it was on the bland side? Or maybe it's supposed to be like this? The yuca was pretty good though. Honestly, out of all the places we've tried in Miami, this was my least favorite. I was a tad disappointed probably because I had high hopes/expectations. Oh I'm not sure if Marabu serves regular water or not (house/tap). When our server asked what kind of water we wanted, we said regular water and she went ahead and got us a bottle of water. Maybe it is normal to pay for water but I've always had free water at restaurants. Typically when I tell the server "regular" water, they don't give me a bottle and add it to my bill. If I had wanted a bottle of water, I would specifically tell you the brand of water I want. I personally wouldn't return if I am in Miami again.

Yelp
Melissa was great. Top notch service. We had to order the Marabu ceviche twice it was so good. They had a plantain with some cheese and rum mix. Huge fan of that. The cheese was better than some pizzas have. The drinks were great. Great vibes too. One of the best Cuban spots we have been to yet.

Yelp
Our food was literally mouthwatering. Short rib plate just fell apart and so flavorful. Burger was juicy. Salmon meal was light and interesting with avocado, pickles and crackers. Went back to try their Cuban coffee latte. Highly recommend. Service was on queue Decor is very unique outside and inside. Clean bathroom. A must try for Cuban food.

Yelp
Upon arriving, I got seated immediately. I ordered the short ribs and they were extremely delicious. It tasted like Korean Galbi, but there were a lot of pieces of fat. The food itself was pretty good but the service was absolutely horrible. Took over 30+ minutes for the food to come out, there were about 6 other tables seated and it was empty. Service was slow when asking for utensils and the check. We've been waiting over 30 more minutes for the check and no waiters are to be seen. I'm not sure if they're purposefully hiding but it sure does seem like they do not want us to get the check nor expect us to have good service. It was absolutely horrible and so slow!!!! It's frustrating since I've been coming here a couple times and it was never this bad, but this service makes me not want to come here again.

Yelp
So impressed by this spot! Mojitos were great to kick it off & every appetizer was perfect (forgot those pictures). Yuca truffle fries were my highlight even though I typically don't love yuca. Portions were bigger than I expected and every dish was so delicious and filled with flavor. Service was amazing, we had Carlos as our server and he gave great suggestions and helpful answers to our questions

Yelp
Fabulous food and atmosphere! Ayeli, our server was very friendly and helpful with helping us choose from the expansive menu options We tried the empanadas as an appetizer, and the red snapper and pork shoulder for the main course. It was all amazing. Definitely choose Marabu for your next night out, you won't regret it!

Yelp
We opted to stay close to our hotel (Element Brickell) and Marabu did not disappoint! Such a great spot with appealing ambiance. The service was great - Melissa was amazing very personable and had great recommendations for food. Which we took - tuna toston, ropa veja empanadas (no photo) were so good! But the highlight of our dinner was the recommended Ribeye steak! Just wow! Compliments to the chefs. Meat was well prepared and the hot plate was an added touch. The arroz Moro and salad were very complementary!

Yelp
Melissa was amazing, all the food was phenomenal, the mojitos to die for, there is a reason they got best mojito in Miami. If you come ask for Melissa she will take amazing care of you and give you the best service. A must stop if in the area

Yelp
The food packs a punch in flavors. I ordered the three course menu ! Wow, all of it was fantastic. My husband had pork from the Cole Grill. It also was amazing. The ambience is trendy without being too loud. The service is very attentive. We absolutely loved it here.

Yelp
This was my second time eating at Marabu and the food was amazing!! We had the pleasure of being served by Ayeli who is so sweet and amazing. The cocktails were to die for. I had a pleasure of having the snapper which was so tasty. It comes with three sides all for under $50 which you can't beat that for being in Brickell, Miami. I will definitely be back! If you want real authentic Cuban food, come here! The ambience was also cute and has some photo ops..

Yelp
I really couldn't get enough of Miami food! The food at Marabu was SOOO good! We were greeted immediately and sat inside, as the outdoor patio was too hot to dine at. The best way to try a new place is to order samplers. We ordered a couple sample platters to try and had a mini feast. The service was wonderful and the staff were very attentive. I love love Cuban food, so I was very excited to try their menu items. It's hard to say which one was my favorite because they all tasted amazing. They were very flavorful and delicious. Hispanic food is one of my favorites, so I was very happy to indulge in all the good food they had here. Overall, it was a great experience. I would definitely return when I come back to Miami.
