Yelp
Cliff Notes - 5-stars for the beer. 2-stars for the ambiance. 4-stars for the potential.
Beers - Delicious DIPA and hazy IPA beers! That is why I go to a brewery... for great beer. I also like to enjoy the space... more on that below.
The Space - This place is dark and a little cold. Leaning more cocktail bar vibe than brewery... in a bad way. Who is their audience, I don't feel like it's me and my demographic (beer lover with copious discretionary time and income)? The LED lights, which are over-dimmed, are flickering and a bit maddening. I cannot picture a bunch of "guys" hanging out here sitting on the wicker chairs with the dim lights, sleepy music, and succulent plants on the tables, at least not for more than one drink. As I am typing, Wilson Phillips is playing.
The Vibe - they're maybe trying for fun with a few games placed around tables, but it ends up only highlighting the disparity between intent and execution. Maybe get rid of the wicker and blank walls, add a bit of color (doesn't have to be bright, muted color is fine), few warm natural accents (think wood) and dynamic art/points of interest on the walls.
The Potential - Loaded with potential. Very conveniently located at 8th Ave and Division St., near Party Fowl. Space is perfectly sized for a brewery/taproom. Get rid of the QR code and put the current beer options up in lights. Proud and loud.
Almost forgot but important (to me). Clean bathrooms are important, tells a a lot about the establishment's culture of general cleanliness. Their bathrooms are phenomenally clean and pleasant. I hope my comments are taken with the intended intent, I truly would like to help this establishment stick around for a while as I really like their beer!
