"Sometimes you want good tacos, but you also need them fast - and that’s when you should go to Marcelino’s, a scrappy operation on the East Side. For lunch there are mainstays like carne guisada and barbacoa, but it’s the breakfast tacos that we come here for. The tacos are scoop and serve, made assembly-line right in front of you, but Marcelino’s is so consistently busy that they’re hustling and preparing food non-stop. The efficiency is impressive: we’ve seen lines eight people deep get cleared out in a matter of minutes. You can get a basic bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast taco, and it’ll be far superior to most you can get around town. Their system, however, allows them to have a much broader menu of options that you don’t see often, like repollo asado (grilled cabbage), calabacitas (squash), rajas (poblanos in cream), smoked Elgin sausage, and the incredible papa ranchera (French fries tossed in salsas) that we probably think about too much. Also, at Marcelino’s, the cheese isn’t grated - they peel a slice off of a huge stack and slap it onto a warmed tortilla, where it immediately melts. " - Raphael Brion

Google
Cocktails are phenomenal. Can’t recommend the coffee/cardamon enough, it’s truly delicious. Food is also good, though expensive for relatively small portions. Staff is kind and attentive and the atmosphere is intimate.

Google
Wow! I've travelled all over the world and the best drinks I've ever had were by Marcelino's. They really live up to their hype! Amazing cozy, dim lighted atmosphere, but definitely the mixology team has my admiration. Just wow. Best drinks for us were the coffee pistachio and the watermelon rhubarb with feta cheese foam. Watching one of the mixologists work was like watching art being made. Incredible place!

Google
An incredible spot that's easy to miss. (it's connected to a hotel) Spectacular drinks with incredible selection of different mid-top shelf liquors. Marcelino's also has amazing atmosphere. Dim lighting and luxurious seating makes this an awesome date night or night cap spot. Please check it out!

Google
Visited Marcelino's Boutique Bar for post-dinner cocktails and conversation, but our evening was overshadowed by an excessively loud DJ playing a wide variety of music that didn't match the lounge's intimate vibe. Despite the website promoting a Mediterranean ambiance, the music was all over the place and way too loud, making it impossible to have a conversation at our table. When we asked the waitress to lower the volume, she explained it was a special DJ night, even though this wasn't advertised on their website which typically features jazz nights on Thursdays. Unfortunately, we weren't the only ones affected as we noticed several tables leaving due to the noise. Marcelino's, please consider reading the room better and providing the experience you promise to your customers to ensure their satisfaction and return business.

Google
Beautiful spot. Feels like you’re in another world inside. Live jazz music, unique food, incredible cocktails. The best espresso martini I’ve ever head.

Google
The moment you take a step into Marcellino's I was pleasantly surprised by the sights and the sounds of a space that has been very thoughtfully curated. Tasteful light ornaments provide intimate but adequate lighting to tables and alcoves that feel almost hidden away behind thin curtains. Smooth unintrusive music complements and catalyzes your experience as enjoy what I can only call one of the best cocktail experiences I've enjoyed. The cocktails incorporate a multitude of different and unique components but any cocktail joint does the same nowadays. But what makes marcellino's stand out is the combination of subtle and more blunt use of food based flavors that supplement your palate. Give it a go. You won't be disappointed

Google
If you’re looking for one of the best bars not just in Providence or Rhode Island, but probably in the country, it’s always hard to find consistency, quality, level of service, and ambience/atmosphere when it comes to restaurants, bars, etc. If you’re looking for a bar where all of those aspects meet in one place, definitely go to Marcelino’s—they never lack in any of those regards while taking it to another level. A great place for date night, unwinding after work, socializing with friends, etc. I will continue to go back time and time again and recommend it to others. Excited to visit their Boston location when it opens!

Yelp
Service was excellent We had a few nice unique cocktails as well as a standard old fashioned- all very nice There was a DJ mixing music which I appreciate Thank you!

Yelp
This is an update! I went back twice last week on Thursday for jazz night and then brought two friends Saturday to try it out! When I went Thursday I got 3 different drinks from the seasonal menu to try "flowers" "Palo santo & honey" "beets with goat cheese foam" Flowers was almost like having a spritzer and smelled like walking through a flower field Palo santo - had green tea foam on top which gives off a kind of bitter taste but I liked it with the drink. Beets - I love beets so I had to try it, if u don't like beets dnt bother trying this because it is very earthy and beet forward, the goat cheese goes very well with this drink. The only thing I wish they would do is make a "olive tray" like something a little less pricey for people to pick at which drinking. Their food is very good but sometimes people don't want anything but to snack on so a smaller option for a charcuterie or olive tray would be nice for a cheaper price. I did notice the prices went up $1-$2 per drink from when I was last there is September 2023, they are amazing drinks and it is an experience for sure but if the prices keep rising and not the drink size I don't know how this place will remain. I also wish they had more drink options that aren't so totally out there, I love that they experiment and can come up with different drinks but some people do like a more simpler drink menu with things they may know. I was hoping the winter drinks would have had something with maybe cranberry or cider or something but it was all very out there and different, and even tho I enjoyed my drinks I looked around the room and noticed most people just order a standard drink there, wine, gin and tonic, whiskey.... Didn't see many of the menu drinks at tables and it's probably because of how strange some may sound. And to spend $17 on a drink u may not care for..... i dont know Service is fabulous as always!

Kristen S.

Yelp
I cant- the drinks are INSANE! The Basil and Cardamom-gtfooh! I want to stay here but I must go.

Alexandria C.

Yelp
Officially one of my favorite bars in Providence! It's gorgeous inside, but the drink was absolutely amazing, and I don't typically drink. They have some great options, but I chose the beet drink with goat cheese foam which initially intrigued me but simultaneously sounded strange. Well it was delicious! Loved our experience and will be back.

Stephanie G.

Yelp
This is a surprisingly lovely cocktail bar and restaurant to be attached to a hotel. The atmosphere is elegant and intimate with cozy nooks for talking to a friend or cozying up with your partner/date. The have fun cocktails and a really nice selection of small plates, most with a Middje Eastern influence. I've been twice, once for a light dinner with my husband before a show and once with a good friend for drinks and dinner after work. It was lovely and special feeling both on a weekday and a weekend, and they sometimes even have live music. A nice addition to the Providence restaurant scene.

Rachel M.

Yelp
Had a wonderful experience at marcelinos. Drinks were so flavorful and unique. Food - especially beet tartare was very very good. The vibes of the place were awesome and great for date night or special occasion. Loved our waitress Lia, who was very attentive and described every dish/ drink to us. Thanks for a great experience!

Doreen J.

Yelp
Going with the five star because of the ambiance. You are coming to this unique and moody spot for the drinks and the atmosphere and they win! This is not your dinner place (although can't speak to the food..could be amazing) it's the before and after place! Dark and seductive...providence speakeasy style. We were seated in a side room ( 6 of us) which was empty and private. Loved it with floor to ceiling curtains and comfy chairs and couches. It filled up quickly with young people enjoying their Friday night social life. Espresso martini was very tasty but not cold enough. The dirty goose martini came with an amazing side of olive delights! Bourbon choices were quality. You paid for what you got but all served with pleasant and attentive staff!

Yelp
Bloody hello, this place is AMAZING! My husband and I live in Chicago, which is known for their beverage scene, but this place has inventive, thoughtful, unique and delicious cocktails. Service blew me away, I wish I caught the names of the bartender and server. They were friendly, made fantastic recommendations, and we loved chatting with them. A++! We found this place on Yelp, because we had just arrived to the city, were not ready to go to bed just yet, and my husband said "if we can find a place within .5 miles, let's go." This place was .4 miles away, and what a fantastic place!

Julie P.

Yelp
This place is gorgeous and the cocktails and service is top notch. We were treated like royalty. My only gripe would be that I chose Marcelinos for the reviews that described it as cozy and there were many cozy nooks, but we were seated in a bench by the front door with lots of foot traffic and zero privacy. It felt like we were on the bench set up for people waiting to be seated. I would go back and request to be away from the front door.

Kelly Z.

Yelp
This bar is tucked away in the Residences hotel and has middle eastern vibes. Great for a date spot and the bartender that night was really nice! It was my first drink of the night and I was debating between whiskey or tequila and he's like why not a dark tequila! So he recommended me the Tomato/Grapefruit drink on the cocktail menu and it did not disappoint. It tasted like a tequila highball and it was served with a freezer dried tomato roll up (it didn't really taste like anything, but it made the drink aesthetically pleasing). We saw him make a drink that was served in a cool glass served chilled over a bowl of ice so we were curious what the drink was, he told us it was a Sazerac, and that he can make it with tequila and with cognac/rye. Of course we had to get both to try and both was strong, but the flavors were well-balanced. We enjoyed this bar and the Aesthetics very much!!

Angel P.

Yelp
Great cocktails and service. A group of us decided to check at Marcelino's and we got the couch with two small tables. We ordered a small pitcher of cucumber/elderflower, and I ordered the pomegranate seasonal cocktail. The cucumber/elderflower was very refreshing, well balanced and had a hint of elderflower. The pomegranate cocktail was also good: fruity and light. Service was good and our waitress was attentive. The place is dimly lit and well decorated. Cocktails are around $14-15. Great place if you're into cocktails, or for a date night.

Yelp
We came last night for a drink for my birthday. It was amazing. I've been before, but it was my boyfriend's first time. I'll start off with the drinks. I ordered an espresso martini, I love espresso martinis, but this is hands down the best espresso martini I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. They infuse their vanilla vodka themselves, so you can taste the freshness. The foam is my all time favorite part of an espresso martini and they nail it every time. So airy, so creamy, so smooth. The perfect drink. My boyfriend had the Young Cuban, it is non-alcoholic. I want to really thank our waitress especially. Many times we've been questioned or felt a slight sense of judgement for ordering a nonalcoholic (my boyfriend was the DD so he just wanted to stay 100% sober, but for someone who is in a different position I can only imagine how difficult it would be when there is the feeling of judgement.) Not to mention, I've had nonalcoholic drinks that are very mid, and lack the aesthetic of an alcoholic beverage. This WAS NOT the case. The Young Cuban drink was one of the best drinks I have ever had. The drink contained: Lyres Dark Cane, Fresh Mint, Lime, Ginger Ale. The way everything just flowed together in the drink. The cooling from the fresh mint, the acidity and zest from the lime, the fizz from the ginger ale, and the beautiful Lyres Dark Cane nonalcoholic dark rum. I think I loved it more than the espresso martini (which was also the best espresso martini I've ever had.) The only "complaint" I would give for the entire experience was the drinks took a little bit to be delivered to the table, but we were super understanding seeing it was busy (we had a great time taking in the restaurant while we waited, so absolutely didn't mind). We also wanted to get something to snack on were between the Burrata and the Chicken Flatbread, so we asked our server for her recommendation and she said the chicken flatbread, so we went with her recommendation. It was DELICIOUS! The Chicken Flatbread consists of: Marinated chicken, Tzatziki, cilantro all on a fluffy, yet slightly crispy flatbread. Let me just say, The Tzatziki was so perfect. It was creamy and tangy and so fresh. Absolutely perfect. The chicken was so moist, but had the perfect amount of char to add a nice crunch to the flatbread. And the cilantro on top was the best addition. I loved the bursts of fresh cilantro with every bite. Not to mention the flavor combo explosion when we took a bite of the flatbread then took a sip of The Young Cuban. It was a full blown culinary symphony in our mouths. Moving onto ambiance. We felt transported to an entirely different country. It was such a beautiful immersive experience. The music, the lighting, the atmosphere, down to the little box our check came in. I couldn't be any happier with how perfect this place is. Thank you for being such a beautiful bar with the most welcoming and warm hospitality. We had the best time and I throughly enjoyed spending my birthday here. I cannot wait to return! We didn't quite catch our servers name, (it was super loud, so she might've said it and we didn't hear) but she was amazing and so sweet so thank you for being so great! If you ever get the luxury of spending an evening at this wonderful establishment find yourself LUCKY!

Ajay N.

Yelp
Wow, walking into this bar is like entering another dimension! Dark Moroccan, eclectic contemporary style, good instrumental music-- it definitely felt very chic and energizing. The drinks were phenomenal, we each tried two different drinks they were all perfectly balanced in flavors and delicious! They have something for everyone's taste with an excellent selection of craft cocktails. The service was kind and friendly, and he help steer us in the right direction depending on what we were looking for.

Jeannine M.

Yelp
The vibe and design was super cool. Small place so good for intimate moments. The smoky eggplant was delicious. Cocktails were all delicious with so many choices. We had an excellent serve .. shot out to Hanna.

Sara K.

Yelp
We popped into Marcelino's after attending RI Comic Con and I'm so happy we did! Every single thing we ordered was delicious. We started with drinks: Carrot / Cumin and Ginger / Passionfruit (a non-alcoholic drink that I added rum to). Our first course was their goat cheese tacos which were SO, SO good we ate in them about 30 seconds. Our next course was the Armenian Flatbread which was also super flavorful and devoured very quickly. The vibe of their space is so comfy, cozy, and warm we did not want to leave. Our server was super attentive and very nice. All-in-all, a wonderful way to end our visit to Providence. We hope to go back for their Thursday Jazz night sometime!

Angel S.

Yelp
Great place to stop by for drinks, they have a carefully curated cocktail menu that features interesting selections. It has a dark, moody, date night vibe. Good customer service as well.

Michaele M.

Yelp
First off...FIRST OFF, damnit... if you're looking to start an illicit affair or perhaps find your next stalking victim - This.Is.The.Place. Very cozy, Very sexy, Very chic. Gorgeous. Dim. This place is it. Basil- lives up to its name. Refreshing, floral and boozy. Baklava - I liken it to a boozy apple-pie old-fashioned. Tasty and strong Portobello Halloumi Mushroom - light, flavorful, delicious So, let me tell you how Fire the bartender, Nikolai, is: whenever I was debating between 2 drinks, he would give me a sample of the drink I was leaning away from. He did this twice and I am so grateful to him for that. My host, Paul, went above and beyond to ensure my experience was topnotch. I have to say, when I walked in and was greeted by him, his zen, positive demeanor instantly put me in a calm, meditative state - perfect for getting lit...I mean...partaking...in some booze. To be as chic and as beautiful as it is, the host and waitstaff were so friendly, unpretentious and accomodating, adding to an already pleasurable experience. A must try!

B C.

Yelp
You will be blown away by the service. Fun foods, very unique drinks, and a cool vibe. Go on Thursdays for the live jazz. It's great to visit a place that really cares about you and your experience.

Brian M.

Yelp
Pro Tip: Make a reservation. The whole crew here is fast and friendly. Interiors are gorgeous, beautifully designed. The cocktails are inventive and delish. (The Tomato/Grapefruit is an A+++.) So, yepp, reservations definitely recommended.

Nick M.

Yelp
The ambiance of this bar is phenomenal and the drinks are amazing! This is definitely a treat for the senses and is such an impressive experience for anyone who wants have their palates go on a flavor adventure. This is a 10 out of 10 and is a must for anyone in Providence.

Rei M.

Yelp
Best cocktails in Providence for sure. I've been here multiple times now and every drink has been great. They have signature cocktails that they have year round, a seasonal drink menu, and all the standard cocktails as well. To name a few: Strawberry is a good one for those who like something on the sweeter side or if you just want something that looks beautiful. Cucumber is one of the most refreshing alcoholic beverages I've ever had. Basil is a unique, slightly savory option that I thought was delicious. And lastly, this wouldn't be a proper review if I didn't HIGHLY recommend the espresso martini. Perfect balance of coffee flavor, sweetness, and alcohol, and the texture is spot on. Really cool ambiance with the dim lighting, decor, and Middle Eastern music - looks/seems fancy but still feels relaxed. Service has always been friendly and prompt. Music is a little loud but not too too loud. At ~$14 per drink, it's definitely not cheap but if you're into cocktails, this is the place to go.

Skinhairnailcare E.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at the Residence Inn across from the Convention Center, and Marcelino's is a convenient 1 minute walk away. Beautiful interior, attentive service, delicious food, and creative drinks!

Greg F.

Yelp
Amazing music (jazz Thursday nights), excellent tapas and drinks, and a very nice waiter. A+++.

Jamie L.

Yelp
Marcelino's is tucked away on a corner and can be easily missed. It's next to the outdoor escalator of the Omni Hotel. You can do street parking or park at the mall and walk over. Marcelino's is one of my new favorite cocktail bars in Rhode Island. The interior is beautiful. There is a large bar, high top tables, and a small room in the corner for low tables. It's dimly lit so it's perfect for a date night or hanging out with a few friends. They have a signature cocktail list of nine drinks and small shared appetizers, which includes a few vegan options. On my first visit, my friend and I tried every cocktail on their menu, totally not planned. They were just so good! The drink names are straight to the point of the flavor profile of the drink. The garnishes are made in house from the ingredients used to make the drinks. I love that they limit any waste!~ The Apricot Lavender and Strawberry are my personal top favorites. Apricot Lavender is great for anyone who is a fan of lavender. Strawberry is a sweet cocktail. For appetizers, the Roasted Beet Hummus was the winner. I love beets and it was perfectly smooth. And the pita chips? Ask for a second cup, you will go through it so quickly! Crispy, crunchy, yummy! For dessert, we tried the Apricot Pudding, which was vegan. Wow! Super creamy. This is definitely a must on any visit. Overall, this place is great and I totally recommend to go!

Jael L.

Yelp
Exceptional cocktails! I'm so glad they have great appetizers to accompany the drinks. My favorites so far are the goat cheese tacos and the charcuterie board.

Dennis D.

Yelp
Attached to but not associated with Omni hotel. Not expecting much from the outside but then was pleasantly surprised to find a small, dark and sexy space. Great music and perfect loud volume for the setting. This is not like tinkling piano music in the background cocktail bar, this is pumping middle eastern cocktail bar and I am here for it. Phenomenal cocktails (like easily top 5 in my New England experience). Service is top notch technical bartending. Any place where they're throwing cocktails on the regular, you know. They make tons of components in house and that expertise is obvious in every drink. All of the drinks I had were excellent and I will happily drink anything they're serving here, but I will for sure be getting an espresso martini next time I'm back. Bring your girl to this spot, she will like it.

Gabrielle S.

Yelp
Went here for a late night drink and to meet with a couple friends. No reservation and we're seated right inside the door, which accommodated us all nicely but was strange only because it was mostly empty from what we could see. The service was good, checked on frequently, drink came out quickly. The espresso martini was excellent but we didn't have any food at the time. Very dark, all part of the ambiance, think Hollister lol It was fun for a one time visit!

Colleen S.

Yelp
This trendy bar is reminiscent of the dark ambiance at Hollister, where you need a light to see the prices. However, my experience here took an unexpected turn when the bill arrived with an included 18% gratuity, which wasn't immediately apparent. To compound matters, the bill displayed suggested tip percentages calculated based on the total bill amount, including the pre-included gratuity. For instance, if my bill was $100.00, the total on the bill reflected $118.00, and the suggested tip percentages were based on this inflated amount. Like many patrons, I opted to tip 20%, which amounted to $23.60, leading to an unintentional tip of $41.60 on a $100.00 bill. This practice feels deceptive and serves as a cautionary tale for patrons to scrutinize their bills, even using a phone's flashlight if necessary.

Leona C.

Yelp
Stopped by this place after dinner for drinks. When we first got there the host was super friendly and nice. We reserved a couch but it seemed like that wasn't available or what we thought it to be so she gave a tour of the options available. It was a smaller space than what it looks like online. The drinks were delicious especially the strawberry cocktail. It came with a yummy strawberry candy on top that tasted a bit like fruit roll ups. I also tried the lavender cocktail which I thought was pretty good but my friend didn't think so so I guess it might not be for everyone! The vibes were nice and it wasn't too crowded. The service was good. There was an error on or check and the person that we mentioned it to compensated with free shots. Totally forgiven. Overall it was a cool place to experience but probably not a place I'd go to regularly.

desiree g.

Yelp
Upscale intimate cocktail lounge with very creative offerings. Very attentive waitstaff. Relaxing ambiance with the music set at the perfect volume. The summer cocktail menu was my favorite of the seasons. I've sampled many of the drinks, and the Strawberry on the signature cocktail menu is definitely my favorite. Its gorgeous and extremely tasty. You have to try it when you come here.

Sandrine L.

Yelp
Our favorite bar is Providence, great cocktails, friendly bartenders. Ideal for drinks and apps. We found the music too loud in the past, was ok the last couple of times we went. Love their playlists too!

Vijay S.

Yelp
Really cool, hip, and modern gastropub in downtown Providence. Started by 2 brothers, this place emits a cool Manhattan bar vibe when you walk in. It's located at the back of the Omni hotel building. The entrance is from outside, not through the hotel. We got the Strawberry drink, which was highly recommended, and a beet mezcal drink. The Strawberry drink was refreshing and good although the beet drink was smoky and better. Loved the small touches the mixologists added to our drinks. For food, they have a range of mezze dishes. We got the roasted beet hummus, farro tabouleh, and the cured salmon. Loved the hummus and the tabouleh. The cured salmon was very good although couldn't really tell between the different flavors in the dish. Overall very good experience. Highly recommend this place for a date night, to grab a quick drink with friends if you're staying nearby, or a romantic dinner. Parking is a bit tricky and would have to be along the street.

Anna O.

Yelp
One of the best high end bar experiences in the city. I highly recommend making a reservation and having patience. When I arrived we did have to wait about 15 minutes before being seated for our reservation. While we waited the hostess brought us a tasting of prosecco. Once seated the waitress was quick to take or drink order. The drinks were unique, however lacked in the alcohol content. The charcuterie board was a fantastic array of cheese, meats, bread, nuts, and jams. The atmosphere is dark, with warm dim lighting, unique furniture and the music just a smidge too loud making it somewhat difficult to hear my friends. Overall I will definitely return and see if I might enjoy some of the other cocktails.

Miss T.

Yelp
Great place for little bites and crafted cocktails!! The ambiance is intimate and very cute inside . Very romantic and lovely

A G.

Yelp
Tiny space that is heavy on sophisticated ambiance and delivers cocktails so creatively well-crafted that "craft-cocktail" doesn't begin to describe them. Bartenders are efficient and just friendly enough to keep it classy. A real gem.

Kat T.

Yelp
So rarely do I find a place that does everything perfectly--drinks, food, service, atmosphere--that five stars really isn't enough.  Marcelino's is more than a bar, it is an experience.  For a few hours out of a terrible year (2020, in case you're reading this in the future), you are transported somewhere magical where the drinks are like nothing you've tried before and the food is inspired by a beautiful country cradled by the Mediterranean sea where they've been perfecting their cuisine for thousands of years.  Yeah, man, that good. My friend and I were warmly welcomed by the owner of the bar and proceeded to spend the next few hours trying almost every drink on the menu and they were astonishing: so refreshing yet complex and all incredibly imaginative.  Our favorites of the night were... well, honestly, all of them... but for my friend, the strawberry drink.  Start with that and don't worry about ordering more because you the drinks are high quality.  I had five and felt amazing, yet there wasn't even a hint of a hangover the next day.  Is there a Nobel Prize for mixology?  No?  Well, you know who has my vote.    For food, we ordered the smoked tahini eggplant, tajin salmon carpaccio, and the portobello halloumi and were given an order of goat cheese taco on the house.  Everything was seasoned to perfection and even an avowed meat eater like me was pleased eating veggies.  All in all, Marcelino's makes the list of best bars I've been to around the world, and in fact, it feels like I could be anywhere in the world when I step through those doors.  It's a timeless, placeless, magical space and if you feel down and out like 2020 has got you by the neck and won't let go, do yourself the favor of a lifetime and go grab a drink or two or three at this bar.  I'll be back for sure.

Kristin C.

Yelp
My husband and I visited on a Saturday evening around 7:30 for some drinks. I originally had made reservations earlier in the week however we were running late due to parking. I called to let them know we were running a little behind without an issue. We were promptly seated at an area of our choice. We ordered the Strawberry and the Apple and Anise. Both drinks were excellently our server was top notch and checked on us frequently. Will definitely be back.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Eerie atmosphere. Maybe bc I stopped in on a Sunday night? There was an awkwardness between the cocktail waitress and bartender that made the atmosphere super uncomfortable. Music was terrible. No line for the bathroom and the drinks were strong, qualifies two stars for me ‍

Vanny C.

Yelp
I know, 5 stars is generous but this place deserves it! It's the quintessential cocktail bar. Every drink I tasted was perfectly balanced and delicious. The apps were great, too. Be aware that they only serve apps which is typical for cocktail bars. My husband and I shared 3 plates which was certainly enough food for us to be full. They were pricey but the bill came out to about the amount we'd spend on a nice dinner anyway ($127 before tip for 5 drinks + 3 plates). Not sure if someone has already mentioned this but if you park at the mall near Macy's and walk over through the sky bridge into the Omni hotel, this place is super easy to access. It's around the corner from Fleming's. Marcelino's was perfect for a date night. Not super formal but it was very intimate. The service was also wonderful. I felt taken care of. If you're in the mood for great drinks and yummy snacks to share, this is it! They really know what they're doing!

Cardin N.

Yelp
Great atmosphere for an intimate date setting if you are looking for that. Also a nice bar area for social interaction as well. Service, setting, food and drinks were all amazing! 5 stars for sure!

Mohammad A.

Yelp
10/10 My go to drink at Marcelinos, top of the line drinks, service, with a hint of elegance. Highly recommend.

C Z.

Yelp
Very beautifully decorated venue, friendly and helpful staff. A good selection of cocktails, all nicely mixed. A somewhat small food menu- But everything was well made and delicious. We got the cocktail pitchers, elderflower and cucumber, nicely decorated and very refreshing. Got the stuffed olives (with peppers), charcuterie, bolognese flatbread, and the chicken wraps- Very happy with the selection. Highly recommended for pre-game with friends before heading into town for trouble. Also a good choice for dates.

Yelp
A beautiful small boutique middle Eastern bar right in the city of providence, it was our first time and the experience couldn't have been better. Our server , Milena (hopefully I got the name right) was so polite and nice to us, very welcoming. she made the experience alot better. She was mindful of our dietary restrictions and suggested the right drinks and food to everybody. The drinks were the best I've had in a very long time, and value for money too! The food portions are a little bit on the smaller size but it's perfect for the place. Really loved it, and would highly recommend it.

Yelp
We only came to this little place for drinks & I was surprised how pretty it was inside. We didn't order anything else but their espresso martinis and it was perfect! -- wasn't sweet nor light. The decor was adorable from the fabric on the wall with sequins that reminded me of belly dancers' outfits...to the tin can lookin' tables that are light weight for rearranging. The color scheme of brown, bronze and pop of colors here and there makes me want to renovate my home with that look and feel. . We'll be back to try their food, soon!

Yelp
A local recommended this place and I decided to stop by. Food I've tried: (* = my favorite) - This is definitely more of a cocktail and munching type of place, rather than a 'I'm super hungry let's get food' kind of place. - ARMENIAN FLATBREAD ($16): generous toppings, with a good balance of textures and flavors. This was on the saltier side though. - BLACK TRUFFLE HUMMUS* ($15): highly highly recommend. Visually, it looks a bit questionable. It looks like cement in a bowl. But flavor wise, A++++. The truffle flavor hits you immediately when you take a bite, and it pairs beautifully with the richness of the hummus. It is also paired with homemade chips (refillable if you ask!) that is perfectly crunchy and well seasoned. - ESPRESSO MARTINI (~$15): it was nicely foamy and creamy. I could definitely taste the alcohol, but it balanced out well with the coffee flavor and the sweetness of the coffee. - STRAWBERRY ($14): I liked this less than the espresso martini. It was a pretty standard strawberry drink, just something about it tasted a bit like cough syrup to me? Atmosphere: - BEAUTIFUL atmosphere, feeling very upscale. The lighting is on the dimmer side, but I love the decor and the very serene feel of the restaurant. - I visited during off peak times so the restaurant was pretty quiet, but I did hear it could get pretty crowded so plan accordingly. - This is definitely a good date spot, or a even a good place for a business meal. Service: - Amazing service. All the staff was very attentive, very friendly. Overall: - Great experience. The reason I gave it 4 stars was I felt that the food was on the saltier side, and the drinks were good but not mind blowingly so. Price was very reasonable (as long as you come not super hungry but feeling peckish). Cocktails were standardly priced, especially for a sip and talk kind of meal. I do acknowledge the atmosphere and service was top notch, but my ratings are always primarily based on the food/drinks.

Yelp
To be honest I was hesitant to write this review because I selfishly want Marcelino's all to myself, but alas the people need to know about it! It's a little tough to find though so I'll keep that part to myself. Anyway, what an experience. My wife and I went here for drinks and some snacks. We felt very welcome and like we belonged the second we walked in. All of the staff here is friendly, knowledgeable, and makes sure you have the best experience possible. The atmosphere is something between art deco and some boho thrown in. Really cool spot. For cocktails we tried the strawberry, the tomato/grapefruit, old fashioned, and a passionfruit martini. No way could I pick a favorite, they were all some of the best cocktails I've ever had and I can't wait to try the rest. Off the meze menu we got the spinach flat bread and the goat cheese tacos. Both were excellent but the goat cheese tacos really blew me away. The creativity behind them to bring out all those flavors is really impressive. I'd never think to combine goat cheese, arugula, pomegranate, and hazelnuts, but I'm glad someone did! If you haven't been here yet you need to. It's in a great location with plenty of parking near by and quick access to everything else downtown PVD has to offer.

Yelp
This place is as delicious and sultry as a bar can be. My first time here, a friend and I hung out in the cushiony lounge section and marveled and the intriguing cocktail menu. A fat-wash baklava cocktail? Oh-yes! I returned here on a date and enjoyed another lovely round of drinks. This is one the spots I recommend to many and yearn to return - I feel I don't get there nearly as much as I would like.

Yelp
Finally had the chance to visit last night and I was immediately in love with Marcelino's right as I walked it. The vibe and ambiance blew me away - it feels both upscale and elegant, while still feeling relaxed and cozy. They have different rooms/seating areas, each with a little bit of a different arrangement and vibe. It is the perfect place to relax and have a drink and few snacks. I went with a friend of mine, but I can see this being a perfect date spot. I had the apricot/lavender cocktail and it was excellent - perfectly balanced flavors and not too sweet. As far as food goes, they only offer a limited number of small plates, but that is to be expected; my friend and I ordered three plates to share and it was more than enough for the two of us. Overall, my friend and I loved it and have already declared it our spot for the winter (and beyond.) I can't wait to return!

Yelp
Terrible service, food was so so. Drinks weren't surprisingly different or amazing. The host kept walking between us and our server, as we were trying to talk. The server couldn't even explain what the mushroom cocktail tasted like, it was like getting blood out of a stone. I couldn't wait to leave. I'd rather have a bottle of wine at home in our courtyard than deal with that messy mess.
