The service at the entrance is very nice. They were able to accommodate an appointment to get my nails done during the holidays, which I really appreciated. The nail artist was very nice and respectful however her work not good. I had acrylic on, which it can take between an hour max 2 to take them off. She started working on my nails at 2p.m . It was 5p.m and I was still there, and she told me if she had to put the gell extensions it would take her another hour and a half, I had to just get regular gell and I ended up leaving the salon at 6p.m. all the sides of my nails unpainted,not well filed, she kept painting all over my fingers... it was just a lot. I am not sure if she was new but it was not a good experience at all..

Absolutely amazing store with such a variety of products that is impossible not to buy something before leaving!!! I was there during the NYJW 2023 and the place was lit! Highly recommended…if you need jewelry, clothes, accessories and even a manicure!!! Special!

Good customer service. The scents and aesthetics upon entering are a vibe. SOPHIA (curly hair) is a pro with handling clientele: projecting confidence in finding a fit for what people are looking for and making browsers feel welcome and enthused to convert to spenders. She carried herself with the attention of a shop owner but without the pressure to meet bottom line--calming, authentic energy. Bought stuff due to her and so did others. Come here for something unique yet chic as a gift or self care indulgence.

Perfect spot! Staff are great and the nail technicians are talented. Couldn't have asked for more and so happy with my new nails! Will be back for sure.

Pros: Cute shop, enjoyable playlist & my manicurist was sweet. They have the materials to bring any nail vision to life, really. Cons: I found it to be overpriced for the quality. My gel mani had imperfections and was chipping from day one. At this price point, frustrating.

I passed through this shop a couple years ago and made a mental note to come back when I had more time. I finally got the chance to go on a weekend. The shop is cozy but well-decorated with several tasteful items that are perfect for a gift to yourself or a gift for a loved one. They sell coffee, tea, tea-making accessories, vintage clothing, candles, incense, etc. They also have a nail salon in the back! The staff was kind and super helpful. I ended up getting a gold tea strainer and some gold teaspoons that I've been using nonstop for the last few days. They are good quality and make tea time a little more elevated. So glad I stopped by and can't wait to come back and support this business. And don't forget to stop by their adjacent cafe!

I think I found my go-to nail salon! For years I've been going to my local nail salon and receiving rushed manicure and pedicures as well as unsanitary circumstances. This salon was the total opposite experience. My nail tech (which I believe was Reed) took her time to painstakingly do my nails. I had a 1:30 appointment, got started around 2 and left the salon at approximately 6:10 pm. It goes to you that the nail techs here take their craft very seriously. All of the nail products were brand new. The cost is a little higher than most places, however, it's worth it due to the quality of the results of your nails. It was refreshing to a nail salon where they played R&B and Hip Hop and the setting is very intimate. I will certainly be returning here for a manicure and pedicure, most likely for the "Art of the Month" option.

I absolutely love my manicure. I cannot recommend this salon enough. Yesterday was my first visit, after being recommended by my best friend, and certainly not my last. My appointment started on time and finished a few minutes early. They abided to social distancing standards and I felt relaxed. My manicurist was Sky. She was nice and efficient. I cannot thank her enough. I am so in love with my nails, if that's a thing lol. FYI - I got the monthly special nail art.

Still my go to nail spot! It's a little pricey than most BK nail spots but it's TOTALLY worth it! Each nail tech is truly an artist & they care about your nail health. Highly recommend

This store is a cute part of the area, but it's just not for me. Their clothing sizes are on the small side and the price point really depends, but... if you are sensitive to fragrance I would avoid. They use a lot of incense and a lot of their beauty products are very perfume heavy, so whatever clothing you buy will smell for days. It really bothered one of my roommates and me as well so I would have to immediately wash everything. That might appeal to some people though. I got a magazine a few weeks ago and it immediately made my skin itch like crazy, I was very allergic to it. I actually can't touch it without gloves. They now do manicures, but I haven't wanted to deviate from my usual spot. And I don't think I could be inside with the fragrances for that long. The one thing I do LOVE is their unique nail polish remover.

Go in knowing exactly what you want because the girls that work there won't bother to ask if you need help

The staff here are always super nice and helpful. They had great and clear safety protocols and the store was really clean. Its one of my favorite places to buy gifts for friends and family, with so many fun and cool options. The bath products were a huge hit with everyone! I also love their sunglasses, love how unique and cool everything is. You can tell they love what they do and have a great eye when they stock the store. Will be back again soon!

Such a unique and sweet smelling treat. We are visiting Brooklyn and happened upon this gem. This store is something special and not to be missed. There are things here that will make you go, hmmmmm.... Candles, incense, clothing, jewelry. Items from Africa. It's wonderful.

love love love! my nails are gorgeous and my tech, skyy, was awesome. very personable and I learned a few things. the shop cinjected is pretty cool too! great teas and skin products as well as some fun fashion. will return. highly recommend.

I really wanted to love this place, but meh... My nail tech was Lee. She was absolutely rude and mean. Lee needs a class or two in customer service. She is good at what she does but her attitude leaves much to be desired. I was 30 mins late for my appt, I called to excuse myself and I apologized in person. The apology meant nothing as Lee was obviously upset and annoyed the entire appointment. She made it very clear that she was unhappy with my lateness and succeeded in making me extremely uncomfortable my entire time there. Why do my nails if you were so upset, Lee? Why not charge me a cancellation fee and let me go about my business? I expressed that my lateness was not due to disrespecting her time but I was delayed for spiritual reasons and met unexpected street closures. We were booked for 12pm to 2:50pm. I arrived at 12:28. By the time I washed my hands, checked in and sat down, and Lee settled in her chair it was 12:36. My appt was terminated by 2:30 despite me reserving her services until 2:50 pm. Lee flat out told me she would not do any designs for me because I was late, despite having ample time to do at least one design or alternating nail colors. I understand time is money but I was ready to pay for me inconveniencing her and my lateness. She blew it with her STANK ATTITUDE! I may come back but if I do, I will use a different nail tech.

Love this shop. The clothing selection is always interesting and has some good price variation. It also smells incredible every time I come in. As a cherry on top it's a black owned business, so I'm always glad to support. Very cool store.

This shop is truly something special. Every corner of its layout is carefully curated by the owner, presenting a mixture of Afro, vintage and unique accessories, apparel and beauty items. After being gifted a dress that was a slice of 1977 African beatnik heaven from someone absolutely in LOVE with the place, I had to peruse it for myself. In honor of the Senegalese themed Dance Africa Festival this year, I treated myself to one of their grapefruit and white lotus body oil sprays. Then, promptly went next door to have myself a Senegalese feast at Cafe Rue Dix...merci beaucoup!

Came in here just to kill time as I waited for my friends to head to a Roll Bounce. Immediately as I entered I loved the vibe. The air smelt off burning Palo santo sticks and good vibes and pure feels. Can you imagine that? The store was completely Zend out and was uninterrupted by the different energies that waltz in and out. Even as a few customers came in, it was as though the vibe in the store automatically refreshed itself in order not to be affected by varying energies that people usually carry around with them. I was not necessarily shopping for anything but the owner was so lovely! I love the pieces they had to offer. Those pink sweaters with photos of fishing ports in Senegal makes you want to be the eye behind the photo; capturing that moment. I was entranced by the entire aesthetic of the store, down to a burning coal station thingy towards the back. If you know what it's call please let me know. Lol I'd eventually love to come back and purchase a few cool trinkets I saw. Especially that badass electric lighter and that calming Palo santo spray room diffuser. Just to zen out my own apartment as well! Oh and how could I not mention that awesome tall short brimmed Erykah Badu-esqe hat I tried on!

Love, love, love everything about this shop. They have beautiful jewelry, a great selection of clothes, nice bags, teas, pottery, incense, cards, blankets, shoes, and little lavender candies (I'm sure I'm missing other things in that list). And, the place is beautifully designed. Good prices, super, duper nice owner. One of my very favorite Crown Heights spots!

Wonderful shop with a beautiful selection of clothes, shoes, jewelry and home goods /self care. Bought a great pair of earrings and some bath salts as a gift. Friendly staff. Good safety measures including hand washing set up that felt like a mini-spa!

Love the store! I support black owned businesses and I couldn't wait to check out the store and get my nails done. I'm giving it a 3 star rating because my nail appointment was not great. I had Leanna as a nail tech. I came 10 mins late, and even called in advance. Once I arrived, she was still setting up the space so I didn't think it was a problem. The entire time she wasn't friendly at all! Luckily a friend met me to get her nails done as well, so it was nice to have that distraction. My fiends nail tech Sky was AMAZING and very friendly, which is another reason why I'm giving this rating a 3 instead of a 1 or 2.

Ugh this store is everything. Superbly curated vintage, fabulous small batch cosmetics, it smells amazing, gah I could go on. A must-visit in you're in CH.

I had such a wonderful experience at Marche Rue Dix. My boyfriend and I made a visit last week. We were assisted by a young woman who was very responsive and informative about each piece we inquired about. The vibe of the shop was very sophisticated yet chill and you can tell that she contributed to the welcoming atmosphere. I'm so happy with my purchase and can't wait to visit again!

I had a nail appointment there this week, and I certainly won't be going back. I will start by saying I was 12 minutes late, however, I did call 3 times to notify my nail tech but she was still extremely irritated. The whole time she was doing my nails she had her headphones in and she only gave non verbal directions. For example she kept tapping me, pulling my hands, and pushing down my arms instead of communicating how to make me more comfortable while making her job easier. And I was so tense because her energy was so negative I couldn't relax my hands. It was just a very anxiety inducing experience. But I didn't complain because I still thought she was doing a great job, and was optimistic it would be ok. But when my nails were done some of the nails were crooked and the very next day one of the nails just fell off and others are lifting. I won't be paying $100 for press on nails again.

Terrible first-time experience! Called ahead to see if a product was in stock, was told it was being held for me. Ended up making it to the store 10 mins later than I said I would be there because of traffic caused by an accident. Got to the store and was told the last of the product was sold 10 mins ago and they didn't have my number to reach out. Wasted 40 mins and $50 coming here but it won't happen again. I'd recommend if you like any product that this store sells, buy it from the brand's website directly, because this place is unreliable and they'll just say "I'm sorry."

This is a neighborhood gem! Visited in Feb. after having lunch next door at Café Rue Dix, and it was so nice! The young lady working in the shop was friendly and very knowledgeable about the products, many of them unique. I purchased a delicious spice blend that I enjoy using on chicken and salmon. Highly recommend!

Great shopping and curated selection of jewelry, clothes and beauty products. And now nails. Just returned from a trip to BK and got my nails done by Sky (Apres Extensions) going on week three still looking good. Marche Rue Dox is a must go to whenever I visit NYC!

DO NOT SHOP HERE. They rip the tags out of the clothes so you can't see the cheap brands that they mark up. Honestly I was just in there and half of the tops had no tags they were all cut out.

I love this place and almost always walk out with something unique that fits great. The clothes are so well curated, they have stuff for women, men, home, jewelry & incense and more. I always come here when I'm looking for a gift (for someone else or myself). Really nice, calm shopping experience too.

Really lovely stuff here. I understand what some reviewers are saying, SOME of the pieces are probably more cheap and modern than they are made out to be. But the shopping experience is wonderful and the employees are nice. Definitely going to go back, even if I end up spending more than I wanted to. Customer service and atmosphere count for a lot in my book!

This is my kind of boutique store. Thoughtfully curated with casual, fancy, new, old, cheap, and expensive clothing, cosmetics, and home stuff. It always smells lovely, the interior is beautiful, and today I found a wonderful perfect vintage dress to wear to the opera for such a great price.

The store is gorgeous! I cannot say enough good things about it. Everyone was super stylish and super kind. I fell in love with and bought a very expensive pair of pants, which I live in!!! They were worth every single penny. This shop is a beautiful gem!

This store is dangerously fabulous. I went it for a lipstick and walked out with a new pair of pants (while deeply coveting some hundred-dollar 3D-printed earrings). I appreciated that there were garments at various price points. Yes, I drooled over a $200 gold jumpsuit and a $300 cape, but I also admired a slew of more affordable pieces--which are also incredibly stylish and unique. The woman who helped me was extraordinarily warm and helpful. I'm thrilled this place is just a few blocks away!

One of my favorite shops ever. They have hard to find, locally made, and very unique items. I especially love the cosmetics/soaps section which are usually very reasonably priced and locally made . One of my fave things I ever bought were some essential oil blend shower drops. They make your whole apt smell amazing and do wonders for your sinuses and mood. The restaurant next store is amazing too. I will keep coming back to see what's "in store".

It is so exciting to find a vintage store that stocks amazing pieces for all body types. The store's buyer has incredible style and it permeates the entire collection and atmosphere. Each item is unique and in great condition. Be warned, it's not thrift store prices but everything is still very fairly marked (most pieces are around $30). They have women's clothing for all seasons, shoes, accessories/ trinkets, and even a small men's section! I hope everyone finds out about this hidden gem because I want to keep coming back!!

I loveeeeeeee this store. Just moved to the area and it's a hidden gem! There is truly something for everyone here and their selection of clothing and skincare products is amazing. My parents even found stuff in here while visiting me. Gals that work here are super friendly and cool. Love the vibe of this place and will definitely be a repeat customer!

This place has so many special pieces. I got a beautiful embroidered wrap skirt for fall and spotted some really great jewelry and mud cloth. There are wonderful gift ideas, too.

This store is beautifully designed and impeccably merchandised. I always dreamed of having a store and if I did this will be exactly it. A mix of teas, pottery, incense, body care and vintage clothing that's still on trend. The owner is so sweet and welcoming. I walked away with a simple gold ring, modern African greeting card, and lots of aesthetic inspiration.
