Google
One of my favorite chocolate place in philadelphia. Always love their chocolates and flavors. They have cery smooth, silky and tasty chocolates. I have tried this place couple of times and never get disappointed. I always request my friends to get me something whenever they are visiting me.

Got a box of 16 chocolates on my recent trip to Philly. So good! Wish I would have taken a photo of them. Rich flavors and cute designs, some Philly specific. Definitely worth stopping in.

Google
Great combinations and local Philly art. Had some very inventive chocolate here like curry spice that I never would have thought to try. Have no idea why there is a 1 Star but she didn’t leave a review so probably a hater. This is great chocolate in a cute boutique.

It's just a display case in the middle of shop with a curated selection of great things. But let that fool you. The flavor combinations of the truffles were unique, the craftsmanship and quality were very good. Hopefully they will still be there when we return for more.

Google
Best and only place to get your "Philly" chocolate on. Who else has a fishtown chocolate simply spectacular

Yelp
The chocolates are very aesthetically pleasing and are like edible pieces of little arts / gems. The textures were all great - with varied kinds: creamy/mousse-y, truffle-y, with nuts/other crunchy bits. Love the creative flavors they have! Also like the fun fact that they get their ingredients from Amish.

Yelp
This was one of my favorite shops when I lived in Philadelphia! The Backstory- Incredible Local Artisan Chocolate by two women who lead the movement to develop shops and restaurants on 13th Street in Center City Philadelphia! The Chocolates- Hand-made-my favorites are the Philadelphia themed individual chocolates! So I ordered on-line since I am not going back to Philadelphia for a while. The Icons and Flavors- Philadelphia Skyline-Crispy Hazelnut Praline LOVE- by Robert Indiana in the "Love Park"-Lancaster Raspberry Pretzel-Peanut Butter Pretzel Liberty Bell- Dark Chocolate and Vanilla Bean FYI-Did you know that there are soft pretzel shops EVERYWHERE-and often on the way to work people buy them for breakfast! I miss that tradition. Getting off the subway, grabbing a soft pretzel or cup of pretzel bites and heading to work!

Yelp
Yes, the Philly themed chocolates are totally adorable, but I was totally underwhelmed on flavor. Cute for instagram but tastes pretty boring

Yelp
My fiancé is fantastic, and since he knows that Valentine's Day is one of my least favorite holidays he always asks if there is something I would like, or have been craving but haven't indulged in, that would be an appropriate way to spoil me for the day. This year, I asked to FINALLY try Marcie Blaine's truffles because the flavors just sound FANTASTIC. And well, they definitely live up to their names. He got me a box of 9 different truffles and I had to share them with him because 1) I don't want to be a pig and 2) he deserves to try what I've heard is incredible chocolate. We tried the Smoked Bacon, Hot Lolita, The Kitchen Sink, Honey-Rum-Nut, Tipsy Poodle (La Colombe coffee and whiskey), Bombay Wink, French Farmer (elderflower and champagne), Philly Skyline (crispy hazelnut milk chocolate praline), and Italian Flirt (rosemary pinenut caramel). The bacon flavor was the most pronounced out of all of them, slightly overwhelming the dark chocolate. Otherwise, the flavors are easily distinguishable but not in-your-face, and incredibly delicious. My favorite was probably the Italian Flirt because the flavors, although slightly unusual, work perfectly together, but all of them are honestly do-not-miss. If we ate enough of the Tipsy Poodle, we may have become a little tipsy ourselves ;) I will be back so that we can try even more of these delicious truffles...especially for any seasonal flavors!

Yelp
What a treat to stumble upon this boutique/ chocolatier hybrid. With a variety of adventurous truffle flavors and hand-painted artisan chocolates, it's no challenge to fill up a box (or two!). At the back of the shop there's a window where you can watch the chocolatiers creating the impressive little confections. Indulge your chocolate craving and shop for unique accessories all at once.

Yelp
Hard to find behind the accessory shop in front of it. The case is well presented and spotless. Candy is thoughtfully boxed, even for small amounts (4 pieces). Chocolate is good but not awesome for the price. Have to agree with Andrew S. There are better places for chocolate.

Yelp
The infamous budino pop will satisfy your sweet tooth! Budino is a dessert made by the nearby Barbuzzo restaurant, and each summer they sell the Popsicle version here (inside the jewelry store Verde). The pops are in a fridge next to the chocolates, place is $10 min credit card. Delicious!! Core of caramel and chocolate/cookie bits, caramel ice cream, and chocolate shell with sea salt sprinkled on. Now I have to try Barbuzzo's original dessert...

Yelp
I'm going to hold a place like this to a pretty high standard. $2 per truffle is a price I'm willing to pay for superb chocolate, and have done so. Last week I bought a box of 6 for my wife and we have been sampling them. They are beautiful to look at and the quality of the chocolate itself is very good and fresh. My problem is that the flavorings are subtle to the point of non-existent in most of them. The Blood Orange and Olive Oil, for instance, sounds delicious and very creative but I could not taste a hint of either, only chocolate. That was true for most of the flavors, unfortunately.

Yelp
I was going to write this message to Marcie Blaine, but the only contact on the web site is a phone number, so perhaps she will see this note. We bought a box of 16 chocolates on Sunday at the 13th St. store. Basically 3 sorts: 70% cacao (liberty bell); crispy hazelnut (Philly skyline); and raspberry ganache (Love Park). At about $2 each, they are not particularly expensive for artisanal -- I've been known to pay outrageous prices for chocolates all around the world, to feed my hobby! However, these were consistently dry, hard, and not very flavorful, as if they'd been sitting in that case for days. Having tried 2 of each, I'm throwing the rest away. I could mail them back, but it's not worth the wrapping, postage costs, or trip to the post office. What a huge disappointment -- those who live in PHL, beware. I did ask to sample one chocolate just to be sure I would like them, but this was not permitted. For the chocolate I've tried in your city, I would say that the local John & Kira and also Teuscher (which can be bought in many cities) and are far better quality. I don't get to PHL that often, but I've tried most of what is relatively close to downtown, chocolate-wise.
